I was just wondering what it means when a comment/question has been deleted and not answered. Does this mean there is not an answer to my question? I also looked on the forum in case my question was more forum appropriate but it is not there either. I need more information regarding British English and American English translation before purchasing plug in. Thank you.
Hi,
I bought WPML 3.1.4. a year ago.
Now, I’m updating WP core to 3.9.2 version an WPML plgins give me many issues.
I just want to renewal my licence but I don’t find istructions to do it.
Hi Michele,
please log into your WPML account. If your WPML license hasn’t expired yet you should be able to renew it. If it already expired you should still see an option to prolong it to lifetime.
Mmm.. in my WPML account dashboard I read this: Upgrade to a Lifetime account ($116.00 instead of $195.00). Buy the Multilingual CMS again ($79.00).
But.. how much is the renewal? Isn’t it $39?
I don’t undestrand.. if my WPML licence hasn’t expired yet I can renew it paying $39 but if it already expired the renewal costs $79.
Is it right?
Hi!
I am looking to buy Mulitilingual CMS, but I cannot make a purchase. When i select Multilingual CMS for 79USD and credit card payment option, i receive an eror 404 page stating that I’m looking for something thats isn’t there.
Any suggestions how to purchase your product?
Thanks,
Aleksandar

Hello, is it possible to hide certain menu items and pages if a certain language is selected?
For instance if I have pages or blog posts, that are not writen for that country/language. Will WPML allow me to select which blogpost, pages and menu items will be displayed or not for each specific language?
And how will this work with email subscription of new posts? Will the US language only get email notification if there is a new US language blog post, and not if the blogpost is in DE?
> is it possible to hide certain menu items and pages if a certain language is selected?
Yes, this is possible. You have two options. In WPML->Settings you we’ll see:
—-
How to handle languages without translation
Some pages or posts may not be translated to all languages. Select how the language selector should behave in case translation is missing.
Skip language
Link to home of language for missing translations

> And how will this work with email subscription of new posts?
It depends on the plugin you are using for handling your subscription. If it supports WPML or not.

I’m interested in purchasing your lifetime plugin for a client’s site. I am writing to confirm that I can alternate page and post content (aka – the whole site’s contents) by the click of a button. My particular site will utilize English and Japanese.
I do not need translation automatic or otherwise as the client will supply alternate content for the Japanese version.
I believe what I’ve read indicates the answer is yes, but I wanted to confirm.
Hi Phillip,
I’m not sure if I can understand your expectations right. What exactly do you expect “by the click of a button.”? Yes, you can create a new version of a post or a page in a different language “by the click of a button.” But to make your site fully multilingual there will be different element to translate like: widgets, menus, sliders etc. It requires more work but you can handle it with WPML as well.
For more than a year I have had a problem with a theme and after two failed updates of WPML got worse and worse. Now the ticked has landed ina black hole and absolutely nothing happens. Is that WPML policy? No answer no nothing and hope customers will forget the hole thing? This ticket originated at 8th May but is a new start from old old ticket from last year. You want me to rate support from 0 to 5?

I wanted to have a duplicate of my english website and translate into chinese so that users can choose to see my website in either english or chinese through a language selection button.
Does your company has a demo for me to try out to see if your plugin is suitable for me. If it is I will like to purchase it.

Hi,
i’m running my blog in Arabic but unfortunately the theme i bought has few text cannot be edited so i need to translate it. Also the BIG problem which is text alignment from right to left isn’t available there and also the blog layout itself, i want to make everything from right to left (menu, hero slider) briefly i want to change the whole website from left to right to be right to left.
We are currently administering and developing four big wordpress sites on different languages with duplicate codebase but different databases for a client. We want to merge the sites easily and we are therefor evaluating tools for this purpose so that all our needs can be fulfilled. Is there a way to get a trial license only for internal testing of WPML or do we have to buy it in order to test and evaluate?
I am in the process of building a website for a client which will have all the content pages added in Russian. The site will be only targeting the Russian population so does not need any other language to be shown at all.
Part of the site takes XML property feeds which are composed in the English language.
I need to know if the plug in will allow these feeds to be translated into russian and displayed without the user having to select anything on the site first.
If this is possible I will be purchasing a lifetime licence for this site.
Thanks in advance.
Stuart
Thanks for your update Stuart. In what form are they presented now in you WordPress:

– custom post types?

The details from the XML fields are posted into custom fields within the property listing plug in. These are then displayed together as a custom post for each property.

Thanks Stuart. WPML supports both translations for custom post types and custom fields. You can enable it or disable in WPML settings.
But since you already have all the content in your WordPress, why don’t you edit it directly and replace English texts with their Russian equivalents? As you said you need the site in one language only. I’m sorry, I find your case a bit tricky 🙂
Hi Agnes,
The property feed has about 3500 properties in it and to even contemplate trying to translate this many posts would be crazy. Particularly as they are constantly changing every day as some are sold and others come onto the market.
This is why we are trying to make the overall site run in the Russian language but the only part we need translated in the feeds which are in English.
If the plug in will change the language so it appears in Russian from the initial page load this is all we require from it.
Will this work for us do you think???
Regards
Any update on if the plug in will work for us at all?
Thanks
Stuart
Sorry for my late reply. I had to disucss your case with our WPML lead developer. The scenario we were considering is to set the default language to Russian, an alternate language to English (hidden). So far, it’s easy, but it gets complicated after this, because the feeds importing feature would have to first import this data, and then set it as English. This definitely requires some customisation work we can’t do as part of our support. So, yet, technically this is possible needs some custom work.
Hi, I am interested in your translation software but would like to know how are updates handled? e.g. say if we have 1000 pages in English and we update say 300 English pages with new information and in different sections on each of the pages. If the pages had already been translated previously how will the translator know which sections had been updated so that they can update their previous translation?
Also do you have translation memory created with this plugin?

My questions are?
1.for this purpose which license i have to buy (Multilingual CMS/Multilingual Blog)?
2.is it compulsory to renew every year (15$), if not will the plugin will not work?
3.Can I use the clients Arabic content instead of automatic translation
4. Give me guidance how can i achieve this in WP, for example do I have to create each Arabic page similar to English page.
5. Can I achieve ultimate as follow. http://www.mysite.com/en and http://www.mysite.com/ar to switch between languages.
6. do you have any test version which i can test before purchase?
Hi Ibnu,
Thanks for your questions and your interest in WPML.
1. Multilingual CMS
2. No. You don’t have to renew it. The plugin will not stop working but you will not be able to upgrade it to new versions and ask questions in our support forum.
3. WPML does not translate automatically. It is always you who provides the translations.
4. Yes, you create a page/post equivalent but in Arabic.
5. Yes.
6. We are also the authors of Toolset pugins. And some of our Toolset demo sites (which are available for free) use WPML. Please go here: http://discover-wp.com/ and choose one of these: Bootstrap Real Estate, Bootstrap Commerce. They use WPML. This way you will be able to see WPML in action.

Hi, i would like to ask if i got 2 images that are in English and Chinese and i would like to replace the english version image into chinese version image, is it possible?
Am I able to change the image into 2 type of version using WMPL?
For example, in http://www.blablabla.com/en/ is english version image and in http://www.blablabla.com/cn/ is chinese version image.
For sure, i will produce the images by using photoshop.
Yes, the general answer is yes, it’s possible but the detail answer how to achieve this will depend on your specific case. Where exactly you want to include the images.
If in your post/page body, it’s easy. If your theme have a special place/option to upload the image, it should be WPML compatible.
Hi Korng.
I’m not sure if I understand your question. WPML allows you to present your site content in different languages. What you have in your page/post in language A, you can present the same in your language B. What exactly do you mean by ‘ranking’?
I would like to buy the Lifetime WPML. I want to pay with my credit card, but I need the invoice to be on a another company’s name. How should I proceed? The billing information should be of the person who is paying, right? So I should input my name, address, etc there, right? Is there a way to input different information for the invoice?
Hi there. In your WPML account settings you can put in the ‘company’ field whatever you want. It will be displayed in your tax invoices. I’m not a lawyer and I will not give you an advice if this would be ok for your for accountancy purposes if you paid with your private credit card 🙂
Hello! We are interesting in your plugin, it looks very good, but we need to know before purchase can your module solve this:
we we have event website twigstime.com and need to have option to enter event name and description in few languages(for now we will use 3 languages), users are able to add their events trough this form: http://twigstime.com/submitevent/
Is it possible to do with your plugin, or maybe you can suggest some things what you can do?
Thanks
Hi Pavels,
please check if your plugin is in18n or transaltion ready. If it is, you should have no problem to display all the plugin dependent strongs in different lanuages. You will need to provide appropriate po/mo files (if they are not ready for your languages yet). You can also use WPML to upload all plugin dependent strings directly to WPML panel and then you provide translations.
I was just wondering what it means when a comment/question has been deleted and not answered. Does this mean there is not an answer to my question? I also looked on the forum in case my question was more forum appropriate but it is not there either. I need more information regarding British English and American English translation before purchasing plug in. Thank you.
Ah! Its back 🙂 Weird…
Hi Eileen. Hi again.
I answered your question today.
How is it going with making WPML compatible with the Product Bundles WooCommerce Core Extension (http://docs.woothemes.com/document/bundles/)?
I have found two forum threads telling that the two are not working together, last reply was in April (in the Russian thread), but nothing further.
Yes, WooCommerce Multilingual is compatible with Bundles plugin.
Yet the blog post was not published yet.

thx, for the quick reply. I want to use the Jetpack plugin for subscribing. Will that work for me with WPML?
and are these features included in all packages?
Jetpack plugin is compatible with WPML.

Users should receive notification in the language they used when subscribing.
Thx!

Hi Ahmed,
you need a theme which is RTL ready. WPML support RTL but if your theme is not RTL ready, you WPML will not help much.
Please read more about RTL:

Hi Stuart, are these ‘XML feeds composed in English’ imported into your WordPress in any way?
Yes, they are imported into the site using the wp-all import pro plug in then fed into the wp-listings real estate plug in to be displayed.
Stuart

Hi Jayson.
Please have a look here:
http://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/
and watch the demo.
You will see how to automatically notify translators about new content to translate.
With our Translation Management module the translators can view the originals and the translations, side-by-side.
Hi,
I need to have a multilingual site consisting of WordPress and WooCommerce. What should I buy?
Here’s the detailed list of required plugins:

Many thanks
I assume you don’t have your WPML subscribion yet. Sorry, no, we don’t have a demo version.

Hi Aat. Could you please ask your question again, in Engish? I’ll be happy to help you.

please check if your plugin is in18n or transaltion ready. If it is, you should have no problem to display all the plugin dependent strongs in different lanuages. You will need to provide appropriate po/mo files (if they are not ready for your languages yet). You can also use WPML to upload all plugin dependent strings directly to WPML panel and then you provide translations.
