Hello,
My subscription is going to expire tomorrow and I received your 50% discount for renewal but I’m now out of office and cannot proceed to renew right now.
Can you please extend your offer until August 30?
I would like to purchase a lifetime license of WPML but I see that there is no company field in the billing information. Is there any chance I can get a invoice from you after the purchase if finished? I need this for the company accounting books.
Hi,
Yes. The process looks as follows:
1. You buy the subscription
2. WPML account is created for you
3. You log in and on the rigth you will see:
Tax Invoices
Click on My Account Settings to edit your company information. Then, go to Order History and click on your orders for printable invoices.
You will be able to type in your company data there.
No reply feature for your last answer concerning the Russian translation of property feeds etc so replying here.
Can I get an e-mail address to continue this dialogue and work out a price for customisation etc?
Reply directly to me using the email address given for this post if you want.
Thanks
Thanks for the reply, I will try the module out and see how we get on getting this to work as we want.
If we have a major issue we would obviously have to obtain a refund via the refunds policy which I have read.
Thanks again for the help.
I just purchased your plugin and have not receive anything, not even a confirmation email. I found that strange so I am emailing you to check on my order. Although it has only been like an hour your conformation page say all work is delivered electronically so I should have received something by now.
Hello I purchased Multilingual CMS and I paid via paypal. I did not get any email for you. I tried password recovery and it did not work. Can u please setup the account for me ?
Hi, this is not a question about sale as I already own this plugin. I’m trying to ask a question on the support page but don’t have a login. How can I get a login?
Hi there,
I filled in the non-profit form a couple of weeks before and haven´t heard of you yet – just wanted to know if there is another Emailaddress to contact for further question or how long I have to wait in general for a reply?
Hi there,
Sometimes the queue is long indeed but you are right: waiting a few weeks is too long. I will contact the people responsible to check your case. I will keep you posted.
Ann, we checked it in our system and you were given the free suscription 13 days ago. Maybe account info went to your spam? Anyway, I will send you the data directly to you in a while.
Just want to make sure of something before purchase…
Will I be able to set the language that I am having text translated into (Simplified Chinese) as the text that appears by default and my native language (English) as the alternative you have to click to see?
Hi Bruce. Yes, of course. You select your site default language when you configure WPML. You can also change the default language later in your WPML settings.
Hi,
WPML doesn’t translate any content. WPML provides you an interface to create post/pages and other element in different languages. It is you who inserts the translations. WPML supports Spanish. Translating text from other plugins is a plugin dependent issue. If your plugin was coded with good practices (i18n) you will be able to see all strings which need to be translated in WPML as well. You can also translate your plugin dependent strings using so called po/mo files.
I am looking at ways to produce a dual currency site with the following requirements:
– works with woocommerce plugin, especially woo commerce affiliate products and variations
– prices in USD and GBP
– ability to hide products not available in US from users based in US (unless they manually switch to UK), and vice versa.
– take payments on site using PayPal Payments Pro
Can I implement such a solution using WPML?
I have seen this post but it doesn’t address all requirements above.
Hi Dave,
Here are the answers:
1. yes
2. yes
3. products can be added in the default language and then you can translate them or not to other languages, up to you
4. PayPal Payments Pro is not compatible for the time being. We asked the author to apply for our compatibility program and we are waiting for his feedback
For sure we will write about it in our WPML blog. I’m about to ask the team responsible to notify me once they have a reply from this plugin author. I bookmarked your comment link and I will post my reply here as well.
Hello. I need to create a multi language and multi currency site and plan to use WooCommerce and WPML. One thing that concerns me is that when I emailed WooCommerce directly they responded with “we don’t have a plugin that does that, you’ll need to build two separate sites”. When I asked about WPML they sort of said, “sometimes it works, sometimes people have problems with it”.
Hi Scott,
if both themes say that are WPML compatible, go for it. If you have some WooCommerce Multillingual issues, don’t hesitate to ask your question in our
‘WooCommerce Multilingual Support’ http://wpml.org/forums/topic-tag/woocommerce/
Thanks Agnes, but I just found out it’s not that simple. One of the themes I listed said it’s WPML compatible, but then I sent a message just to make sure and the developer wrote, “sorry, WPLM made changes to their plugin and we haven’t updated the theme yet”. So, apparently this is dangerous stuff! I want to be careful that I don’t create a big headache for myself.
Thanks for the link to the multilingual support forum, but I see no way to ask a question there if I’m not already a customer. Please explain how I can use this. Also, this forum I’m talking to you in doesn’t send an email to let me know I got a reply. I think you guys should re-think the way you do support.
I also think you guys should make a list of “suggested/approved themes” that work 100% with WPML. With all of these compatibility issues (WooCommerce, WPML, and WP Theme) there’s a lot that can go wrong. I’m almost thinking of going with a hosted solution so I don’t have to worry about all of these factors.
Hi Scott. Thank you for your detail feedback. That’s good you asked the theme author directly. I would ask him what exactly will not work.
Yes, you are right. You must be registered if you want to ask our support forum for help. I put the link to show you that you will be not left alone in case something goes wrong with your plugin or you have further questions after you buy it.
But in general most simple themes are WPML compatible out of the box. Things are getting complicated when your theme has many so called ‘theme options’. These are difficult to translate. In order to do this, you will need to have so called ‘wpml config’ file: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/
You can also create it but sometimes it’s not so easy and this is why we cooperate with theme authors directly and ask them to provide such a file together with the theme. Then our compatibly theme team test it with WPML. Believe me, the waiting queue is long. Many theme authors want their theme to be certified as WPML ready.
Scott, if you think of going with a hosted solution, you can also give it a try, why not? Making your on-line store multilingual is not a trivial thing. It’s always better to have some experience with WPML first. As you can see they might be compatibility issues on the theme level itself (nothing to do with online store/wooCommerce – this is “another level” I’d say). But what I can also say. There is no other (tell me if I’m wrong) WooCommerce Multillingual solution in the WP market now.
Hi Simon,
The answer to your question is: no, it will not. WPML doesn’t translate any content. WPML provides you with an interface to create post/pages and other elements in different languages. It is you who inserts the translations.
Thank you for the reply.
I need something that will actually translate the content itself from English to the common European languages.
Do you know if there are there any plug ins that do this and work with the wpml plug in?
Thanks
I am a freelance web developer building my clients sites with WordPress.
For my next multilingual project I would like to use WPML.
I am trying to decide whether to go with the One year deal or the Lifetime.
If I take the One year deal, does that means that after a year my clients would not be able to update the WPML plugin on the site that I am building for them?
Yes, after a year you will loose access to upgrades and support forum. So there will be no way to update the WPML plugins.
You can use one WPML license for all the sites you are building.
Just paid for a Multilingual Blog invoice #458523 but after 20 min still no e-mail.
Is the e-mail adress the same as this one?
Order some wrong with PayPal?
Hello, is the “Multilingual Blog” version sufficient enough for a basic website? Also, what is the account renewal of $15 for? Am I still able to use the plugin if I choose not to renew?
> Hello, is the “Multilingual Blog” version sufficient enough for a basic website?
Company websites usually include more custom elements like: sliders, testimonials, etc. To translate them you will need a separate module called “String translation” which is only available in CMS version.
Besides if your theme uses many so called ‘theme options’ it’s good to check in advance if it’s WPML compatible.
If you want to translate only:
– posts
– pages
– categories/tags
– menu
Blog version is enough and it will work fine with your theme.
If you don’t renew your subscription, you can still use WPML but you will not be able to upgrade it and ask questions in our support forum.
We are also the authors of Toolset pugins. And some of our Toolset demo sites (which are available for free) use WPML.
Please go here: http://discover-wp.com/
and choose one of these:
Bootstrap Real Estate
Bootstrap Commerce
they use WPML. This way you will be able to see WPML in action.
Hi, we are looking at your plugin to do our multi-lingual sites in the future. If I took the 1 year license and let it expire would the plugin functionality not work anymore or would it just stop me from updating the plugin?
If I purchase the “Multilingual Blog “edition of your plugin will I be able to solve this problem through the plugins admin panel? (without any coding). If not, which edition includes this option?
Dear Iraklis,
the issue with translation your button has to do with this ‘Contact Form’ plugin you are using. If the plugin author made it translation ready you should translate it without any problems (doesn’t matter if you use WPML or other multilingul plugin) using so called po/mo files. However if the plugin author hardcoded the text, even WPML won’t help.
So by purchasing the wpml blog edition and the contact form will I be able to solve the problem that I have mentioned? do you have a relevant guide that shows the process?
We would like the following:
1. Frontend language: French (future maybe other languages)
2. Backend (= admin) language: dutch
3. But the Transactional email language in French (future maybe other languages)
Is that possible with WPML and which version do you advise us?
Hi Peter,
WPML allows you to set your backend language independently of frontend language. But you must add both in WPML settings.
Both versions CMS and blog support it. CMS is better for corporate sites (it includes String translation module/plugin which allows you to translate various theme dependent string, for example theme options).
What do you mean by “Transactional email language”?
Hi Dave,
You are right, usually its PayPal. Our WPML site is using two payment gateways: one is PayPal and the one is used for credit card payment – 2checkout. So PayPal and 2checkout are the ones we are using with WPML and WooCommerce and they work fine.

Hello,
BuyShop theme and WPML compatibility. It is not in our theme compatibility list but I checked at Theme Forest and in the box in the right sidebar you can read: “Compatible With WPML”. I also found some information here where the theme author says it works with WPML.
All the plugins listed above are included in our CMS Multilingual package which costs $79 or Multilingual CMS Lifetime ($195).
The only exception is WooCommerce Multilingual which is downloadable from WordPress repository for free: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/
Hello, i develop websites. Should I buy the plugin for every new of my projects and customers. Or I can buy it one time and use it as many time as I want on different projects and for different customers? Thanks.
Hi Ruson, the second option is true: you buy only once and you can us it for all the sites you are building for you customers. But you cannot resell it.

Can I use WPML plugin for it?
One-paged design will not have posts. It is more like the page template.
Thanks,

Hi,
yes, sure, you can still use WPML to make your site multilingual. Even if it’s has no posts.

Dear WPML Support Team,
Currently I am using a free multilingual plugin but I can’t translate the “Submit” button on my contact form

Dear Agnes,
Thank you for your response!! Can you recommend me a contact form plugin for wordpress compatible with your plugin please?
Thank you very much!!
Iraklis P.
Hi,
WPML works great with Gravity Forms, using our glue plugin:
http://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/
So by purchasing the wpml blog edition and the contact form will I be able to solve the problem that I have mentioned? do you have a relevant guide that shows the process?
Thank you very much Agnes !!
Have a nice day 🙂
Hi, to use the same approached we used for wpml.org site and described in details here:
http://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/
you will need CMS version.
Okey, Thank you very much I am going to read it carefully!!
Hi,
I am planning to launch a wordpress site in Hindi and English with the default version being Hindi. I will be doing the translations myself.
After using this plugin will the readers find the transition seamless – the design, menu etc. remaining the same?
I am thinking of a blog that will work like this one – http://www.garancedore.fr/en/.
Can you also post links to some websites that use this plugin, so that I can see the functionality for myself?
Thank you.
Best
Harini
Hi,
thanks for your questions and your interest in WPML.
Yes, the translated sites will look similar. Only the content will be shown in different language. The rest remains the same.
You can see sites built with WPML in our showcase:

1. Frontend language: French (future maybe other languages)

Hi Peter,
WPML allows you to set your backend language independently of frontend language. But you must add both in WPML settings.
Both versions CMS and blog support it. CMS is better for corporate sites (it includes String translation module/plugin which allows you to translate various theme dependent string, for example theme options).

By Transactional email I mean the invoice mail, billing mail etc
Can this also be in French (so independend from back-end language)
Hi there,
Are there any known payment gateways (on site, rather than redirected off site) that are compatible with both WPML and WooCommerce?
I already know that PayPal Payments Pro isn’t.
Thanks!
Hi Dave,
You are right, usually its PayPal. Our WPML site is using two payment gateways: one is PayPal and the one is used for credit card payment – 2checkout. So PayPal and 2checkout are the ones we are using with WPML and WooCommerce and they work fine.

Again, thanks for getting back so quickly.
I’m going to take a look at 2checkout for both our US and UK countries. May also provide a PayPal off-site alternative until PayPal Payments Pro comes on board.
Thanks for all your help Agnes.

Sometimes you can create it yourself. But for most advanced cases we ask theme author to join our compatibility program and provide such a file.

Hello,
BuyShop theme and WPML compatibility.
The only exception is WooCommerce Multilingual which is downloadable from WordPress repository for free:

Hello, i develop websites. Should I buy the plugin for every new of my projects and customers. Or I can buy it one time and use it as many time as I want on different projects and for different customers? Thanks.
Hi Ruson, the second option is true: you buy only once and you can us it for all the sites you are building for you customers. But you cannot resell it.
