Hello,
I would like to ask if WPML will be working with my webiste which is created in ajax?
Becuase for test I installed old free version and I got error when I want to change my language.
Hi, what is the name of your WordPress theme? Can you send me a link?
Please note, that you can always buy WPML and test it for 30 days. If it doesn’t satisfy your needs, we will give your money back. http://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
Thank you. It helps a lot. So this theme wasn’t tested by our Compatibility Team. But generally speaking every theme that uses WordPress API runs multilingual with WPML.
You will be able to translate your posts, pages, categories, tags, menus, images, custom posts and taxonomies, even custom fields irrespective of a theme chosen.
But currently the themes offered in the WP marker are more and more sophisticated and offer more and more custom options. These to be translated require the presence of so called wpml config file. Some developers can create this file themselves, while for others it is a challenge. This is why we ask theme authors for their help here. When a theme author provides his/her theme with such a file your works is easy – all the theme depended strings will appear in our String translation module.
What should work without any problems even if your theme is not announced as WPML fully compatible. You will still be able to translate:
posts, pages, menus, tags, categories, custom post types, custom fields, taxonomies, different strings etc.
Hello. Now I’m ready to by, but I have to know the next before..
Please, my question is:
Is it possible to buy a license “Multilingual CMS” now and after about 1 year of use to pay the difference and transform this license to “Multilingual CMS Lifetime”?
Thank you for a hardwork.

I am re-building a client site that i built several years ago. At the time, I chose to use qtranslate which was very good but it’s no longer supported. I have started playing around with qtranslate plus BUT i am considering switching to wpml as it works better with the theme I plan to use.
I read somewhere that your software can import from qtranslate but not the offshoot project qtranslate plus. Can you confirm this and tell me whether the importer is standard within the main program?
I have english, french, polish and arabic and it’s all properly translated. I don’t wish to use an auto translator but instead insert text converted by a translator we employ. Can you confirm it will import these OK, especially the Arabic which was tricky to work with.
I don’t suppose there is a demo I can play with before committing to a purchase?

This is something that our support team is best fit to answer. Have you asked in our technical support forum? When you do that, please be sure to explain how you’re handling the e-commerce in your site (plugin / theme).
Hi David, a few questions:
1. Do you plan to migrate to WordPress?
2. If so, how do you plan to handle subscriptions? Did you think about any particular plugins/solutions?
3. Do you plan to provide translation yourself? WPML doesn’t translate automatically.
If I know the answer to the questions above, it will be easier for me to say if WPML is the best choice for you.

We purchased WPML a few years ago and it has been working fine ever since (WPML v2.4 on Linux Apache Server) however we have attempted to move a site that uses the WPML plugin to a new server (IIS v8) however the plugin has ceased to function correctly on the new server. It now only translates the first page and clicking on any links to other pages on the site returns you to the translated homepage?
Hi Tim,
could you please post your question on our support forum? Here I’m answering only pre-sales questions and find it difficult to provide you with any technical advice.
I purchased your plugin 2 hours ago and have not received my username and password as yet. Could you check on that for me? We are working on a RUSH project and want to get going on this.
Hi Philip, the activation email is sent immediately. If this didn’t happen, please:
1. check your SPAM folder
2. if this doesn’t help, you can use this password recovery link: https://wpml.org/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
3. if this still doesn’t help, you probably made a typo in your email. If this is the case, we will need to identify you in our system and change it manually. Let us check.
I am preparing a site and planning to purchase WPML Multilingual blog:
1. Is WPML Multilingual Blog compatible with the latest Customizr application?
2. As elements i am going to use sliders, widgets, posts and pages, menu, search box, visitors ID forms. Can above plan work for these components?
3. Please elucidate me on this: Using WPML Blog and above, is it needed for me to translate all above widgets, slider texts, posts, pages and the other elements to all the lenguages I want first, and then ask WPML Blog to recognize those duplicated pages to make the switching between languages? Please, this part is very important for me to understand it very well.
Thanks so much for your complete answer to above questions.
Hi Jose,
1. Is WPML Multilingual Blog compatible with the latest Customizr application?
What exactly are you referring to?
2. It depends on your theme. What theme do you plan to use? Can you give me a name or a link?
3. You install WPML first and set the languages. Next, you start translation your posts and pages, menus. You need to enter the translation yourself, WPML doesn’t translate automatically. Next you can install the String Translation package (it is included in the CMS subscription) to translate additional elements like widgets etc.
One more question for you. Can I use WPML to translate the text within revolution slider? If not, will it work within other sliders? I am planning to use avada theme.
I have a site with 5 languages including arabic and I want to adjust the text within the actual sliders. Is this possible using shortcodes or another method?
1)Is this wordpress theme compatible with your plugin? http://themeforest.net/item/123garden-ecommerce-corporate-theme/full_screen_preview/9828955
2. how is content effected? what language is main? in what format we do add content?
3. Will it effect SEO? How about the Yoast Plug-in
4. How would it effect shopping cart product descriptions, etc… as well as SEO for product landing pages?
Hi, I would really love to buy WPML lifetime licence as I think actually it’s one of the best multilingual plugin available.
I have just one technical question…
I want to translate my website in another language but I want that it will be visible on another domain extension.
Es. Default website http://www.mywebsite.com –> translated in spanish http://www.mywebsite.es
First I will install WPML on the .com domain and configure WPML to use the .es domain for the spanish translation.
Then I would like to host the .es version (WP files) on another server different from the .com one. I cannot use the database on .com domain for the .es one as per performance problem… it will be really slow.
So my question is, there is a better way to manage that?
Hope that I was clear to explain…
Hi Roberto,
thanks for your interest in WPML. Yes, you can configure WPML to handle a each language from different domain (this doc might be helpful http://wpml.org/faq/server-setting-for-languages-in-different-domains/) but you cannot store language versions (and translations) on different servers. In other words, you cannot have each lanaguge in a separate database.
Hi I have the following questions.
1) do I have to have wordpress install together with my ASP.Net MVC project to use your plugin or widget?
2) Is your plugin can be used as AJAX to translate the entire website’s content?
All Im trying to do is to translate the whole web site’s content when the user select a different language from a dropdown menu.
Hi Agnes,
As I told you before, I am preparing a site and planning to purchase WPML Multilingual blog:
1. The Theme I am using is named Customizr, please inform me which of the 3 WPML applications will be fully compatible with this theme.
2. As elements I am going to use sliders, widgets, posts and pages, menu, search box, visitors ID forms. Which of the 3 WPML will correctly work for these elements in above theme?
Thanks so much for a complete answer to above questions.
Hi Jose,
sorry, this theme is not WPML compatible so you might have some issues with more advanced elements like sliders. You can ask the theme author to join our certification program to make it WPM fully compatible http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/ but it will take time.
The Theme I am using is named Customizr, and the WordPress version of it is 4.1.1. Kindly inform me which of the 3 WPML applications that are being offered by WPML will be fully compatible with this theme.
2. As elements I am going to use sliders, widgets, posts and pages, menu, search box, visitors ID forms.
Thanks so much for a complete answer to above questions.
We are a design firm and have just completed a major site refresh for our client Violin Memory. March 12, 2014, we purchased the WPML Multilingual CMS and the WPML Translation Management plugins under our name. The client is taking over responsibility for the website at this point and we would like to transfer the licenses to them. How do we do this?
Hi George,
officially there is not such thing like a license transfer. It would be best if your customer buy the WPML license anew under his/her name. You don’t need to reinstall the plugins, you just need to change the site’s key if you are using the Installer.
But let me list other possibilities:
1. If you have the site registered and the Lifetime license, your customer will be able to update WPML from their WordPress admin. But in this case they don’t have access to our support forum.
2. If your WPML license was used for this customer only and you don’t need it any more, you can simply change all the data, including the email address in https://wpml.org/account/account-settings/ and put your customer’s data there. But let me check if this can be done without any harm (you know, VAT, financial issues etc)
After some changes made by the author of my wordpress theme I get the following message when I switch to another language:
Warning: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /www/htdocs/w0113605/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php on line 6275

I missed the renewal a month ago and want to ask if I have to buy WPML Multilingual CMS again?
If so, where can I get information on how to update the WPML Multilingual CMS for my website?
Hi Pete,
let us check your case in our system. If you missed your renewal recently there is a chance we can extend it for a few more days and this way you will be able to renew it. Let me check.
I just renewed (bought) WPML license. I received a confirmation email from paypal with purchase details and a confirmation from WPML with shows me the order details.
After some changes made by the author of my wordpress theme I get the following message when I switch to another language:
Warning: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /www/htdocs/xxxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php on line 6275

If so, where can I get information on how to update the WPML Multilingual CMS for my website?
Hi Pete,
sorry for my late reply. Your comment landed in the Trash by accident perhaps and I just restored it. Yes, you need to have an active subscription to get our support help. Currently we are offering a discount. Just log into your account and purchase WPML anew. It will be upgraded to Lifetime subscription at a reduced price.
Then, in your WPML you will see account what options you have to extend your license. If you don’t have your WPML account, you will need to buy it anew.
Would you please let me know the names and links for 2 or three themes that could be downloded using te dashboard of WordPress, that have been tested as WPML fully compatible and could be used or adapted for the business field?
Hi,
I am about to purchase the Multilingual CMS Lifetime but just want to check first the following:
The website I am building for my client needs to have ENGLISH and MANDARIN. I personally am not familiar with the Mandarin language – but does your plugin support this language and will it be the correct language, not just in ‘Chinese’ etc.
Your prompt reply is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Yes, WPML supports simple Chinese and traditional Chinese. But WPML doesn’t translate automatically. To translate your texts you will need to provide your own translation or you can use our ICanLocalize service of professional translator (it is integrated with WPML but paid).
Hi, I had a licence with you guys for a client which seems to have expired some time ago – I had no idea until now as we are doing some more work for them. Is there any chance of renewing our licence instead of having to buy a fresh one? Not renewing was completely unintentional!
Hi Zoe, let us check your case in our system. If you missed your renewal only a couple of days, we can extend it for a few more. I will keep you posted. Please note, that you can always extend your license, you don’t have to create a new account but if you do this before your license expires, you pay less. Let me check you case.
Hi
Is it possible to first buy the 29$ version and pay difference later to upgrade to lifetime?
thank you
Yes, you pay the difference only when you upgrade.

Hi Justin,
thanks for your interest in WPML.
This is the plugin you are asking for:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/qtranslate-to-wpml-export/
It was created by our team.
You can buy WPML, test it for 30 days and if it doesn’t satisfy your needs, ask for refund.

Buying WPML will let you ask technical questions on our support forum.
WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically.

I’m wondering if Tagalog is an available language.
Also, what is the refund policy?
Upgrade policy later on?
Thanks!
Hi, thanks for your questions.
Tagalog is not present in our default language list but you can add missing languages manually following these instructions
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
But please note that WPML doesn’t translate your contents automatically.
Hi Agnes,
Thanks for your reply.
So what you’re saying is that we are responsible for translating the content ourselves? It that just because the Tagalog language is not supported?
If that’s the case, what exactly is it that WPML does once adding a custom language?
Hi Agnes,
Looking forward to your answer, please respond soon, we are eager to purchase and make this work if it’s what we need.
Thanks!

Currently we are offering a discount. Just log into your account and purchase WPML anew. It will be upgraded to Lifetime subscription at a reduced price.
I have an old version of WPML (Site edition) that needs to be upgraded. Is there an upgrade rate and how do I purchase that? Thanks
Hi Shane, first please check if your WPML account still exist. You can try to recover your password using this link:
https://wpml.org/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Then, in your WPML you will see account what options you have to extend your license. If you don’t have your WPML account, you will need to buy it anew.
Hi Agnes,
Would you please let me know the names and links for 2 or three themes that could be downloded using te dashboard of WordPress, that have been tested as WPML fully compatible and could be used or adapted for the business field?
Thanks so much.
Hi Jose, this is the full list:

I would recommend you the Enfold or Avada theme.
Hi,
I am about to purchase the Multilingual CMS Lifetime but just want to check first the following:
Thanks,
Zoe
Hi Zoe, let us check your case in our system. If you missed your renewal only a couple of days, we can extend it for a few more. I will keep you posted. Please note, that you can always extend your license, you don’t have to create a new account but if you do this before your license expires, you pay less. Let me check you case.
Hi again,
your account expired on May 4, 2014. So in this case you can:
1. upgrade to lifetime
2. purchase again
In both cases you can purchase being logged in and this way you will be able to purchase with your old account.
So I can’t renew for the cheaper rate? I’ll need to pay the full price again??
Zoe
