Hi,
I am responsible for the design and technical maintenance of different sites. However all of them do have different domains and different WordPress logins with different email addresses behind.
Is there any possibility to use just one WPML licence (how will it realise, that I am always the same person) or do I need to buy separate licences for each of them?
Hi Pau, so in this case please purchase the Lifetime subscription. Please note that you can buy only one WPML license and use it for all your customers.
I purchased the multilingual CMS plugin from you last year for the annual price and I would like to renew my subscription. In my account I get no option to renew for $39 as stated on your website, it only says that I must purchase a new subscription. There also seems to be no way of contacting you other than through this forum. Please help?
If your account has already expired, the $39 renewal option is not available. The most economic (and popular) renewal for you would be to upgrade to a Lifetime account. In that case, you need to pay $116 and you get support and updates for WPML for life, without any renewals anymore.
Hello, I am considering wpml for my website (meantioned above) and my webshop. Only I have the payment gateway Mollie, and not Sisow. Does WPML also support that?
Hi Pascall,
WPML doesn’t handle the e-commerce stuff of your website. WPML is a plugin that allows you to turn existing sites into multilingual sites, including online stores built with the WooCommerce plugin. So you build the e-commerce site with the WooCommerce plugin and then you will be able to translate products with WPML.
Here you will find out more about WooCOmmerce Payment gateways http://www.woothemes.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/payment-gateways/
Yes, thank you.
In the information about WPML you specifically mention that WPML works well with woocommerce and the sisow-payment gateway. I have a wordpress/woocommerce webshop with the Mollie payment gateway. Will that also work well with WPML in translating the few last steps of the ordering process?
Hi, please log into your WPML account first and you will see all the options you have for upgrading. The options will vary depending on the subscription you have (Blog/CMS) and whether your subscription is still active.
If I update the iclNavMenu.class.php I can’t login to the backend anymore, gives an error.
How can I fix this without having to buy a new license? I understand that I need to pay again to get new features. But I shouldn’t have to pay again to get bugs fixed that shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
Hi Rick,
you need to have an active WPML subscription both for new features and bug fixes. It would be a real challenge for us to maintain the software to support these two separately. I hope you understand.
The active subscription allows you to get support help for cases like this so if you would like us our supporters to investigate this issue for you please upgrade your subscription. For customers who missed the renewal date we offer upgrading to Lifetime at a reduced price. You need to be logged into your WPML account to see the relevant link.

Hi Pascall, I have good news for you. The developers from our Plugin Compatibility Team say that the mollie payment plugin is fully compatible with WPML (since yesterday) but you need to use the latest version of this plugin. It will be announced in a few days in our WPML blog. So yes, you will be able to translate the whole ordering process.
Hello. I’m working on a touristic site. It will be in 3 languages: French, Spanish and Italian. The main language will be in French.
Sorry, but I want to be sure I understand how the plugin works. Would I need to create each page on the site on each language? How does the language selector work exactly?
You create the site once, then you translate individual pages/posts etc.
When you activate WPML it will ask you to select the main langue of your site (in your case you should pick French) and then other languages (you will choose Spanish and Italian). All your existing posts/pages will have the French language set by default. You need to translate them to other languages. You will see relevant icons to do this, don’t worry this is easy and very intuitive.
You add the language selector to your menu, sidebar, footer (this is done via WPML settings) or if needed, to any other place of your site (depends on your theme and your needs so it might be more challenging but we have documentation or our supporters can also help you).
If a site visitor clicks on the language selector the page will show up in the selected language.
Thank you very much for the reply. I’m just setting up the site, can I install the plugin now or would you recommend I first create all the content on the main language?
It doesn’t matter. Both options are fine. But the sooner you check the plugin with your site, the better. Sometimes you might have issues with your translating theme custom options and when your problem is being handled in our support forum you can continue with other work to save time.
Hi,
if you bought in Fe 2015 your subscription should be still active. What do you mean by not being able to download WPML? Did you lose the access to your account? If so, please use this link to reset your password: https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/
Please let me know if you still have any issues and describe in details what sort of issues. I will help you.
Some questions about this plugin
1. Using WordPress native permalink structure with post name will the permalinks be translated too and will the permalinks be editable?
2. I assume you can make all the text translations manual for any area of the site?
3. If you are using google search within wordpress will it search all language versions ?
Hi Joe,
1. Yes. The permalinks for the translated posts and pages work exactly the same as for regular WordPress posts/pages since the translations are also posts/pages but in a different language. So you can edit the slugs the same way you change the default slugs for your posts/pages. By default the slugs of your translated posts are based on the title of your post/page.
2. Yes. WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically anyway. You also have an option to send your translation to professional translation services that are integrated with WPML (this is optional and paid extra)
3. Yes, for each language separately. So if you are on the German part of your site it will search the German contents. If you are on the English site, it will search the English content and so on.
Hi,
I’ve got two questions pre-sale:
1. I’d like to have a woocommerce in Spanish and English, with euros and dollars in both languages. Is it possible?
2. Renovation is mandatory? Or is for updates? A year after buying, the plugin stills work?
Hi,
1. Yes, this is possible with our WooCommerce Multilingual plugin.
2. No, you don’t have to renew your subscription. Yes, it is for future updates and getting support only. If your subscription expires your plugin won’t stop working but of course we cannot predict what will happen if you upgrade your WordPress to new (future) version. After the first year you also have an option to upgrade to Lifetime and pay the difference only so you can buy the CMS today and decide later.
I see you just developped a partnership with the plugin WP All Import.
In the screenshots, i saw that is possible to have the products translated using a matching ID with the csv and xml format. Is it also possible via a URL import?
Hey I want to buy the CMS version for 79$. I will get a license with that for one domain right? The problem is that my website is not done yet (It’ll be just ready with wpml) so the domain name is “beta.*websitename*.com” so when the website is done, the site will change the name so there is no “beta” in it anymore = name of domain with the WPML license changes. How do I transfer the license to the other domain name? or how else I solve this Problem?
I googled a lot, this question was asked before here with a poor answer about free licenses. I would really appreciate a fast answer, thanks 🙂
Greets, JP
hi there, i currently run a .com woocommerce site which allows for currency change in USD, Euro but default is GBP (sterling). We’re based in UK and majority share of business is UK. But we want this to change.
We’re looking to develop a new .eu website for all my “EU” customers – this will utilise the Euro currency as default but remain in one language which is English. Europe prefers payment/pricing in EURO and English is a common universal language.
Will WPML allow us to operate TWO websites from one wordpress/WPML installation? So we’re going to make the .com become for UK only (possible make .co.uk) with GBP currency only and the second new site using EURO currency. We do not need any language differences.
Also, does WPML handle geo-ip technology? So if a UK browser typed in the domain address for the .eu site, we want something to pop up and say, “we think your best suited to the .co.uk site” – and vice versa for all European visitors.
Hi there, if you are going to keep all your contents in one language the WooCommerce Multilingual plugin (and WPML) isn’t the right solution for you. I’m sure there are dedicated plugins out there to help you solve your issue in a more straightforward way.
I currently have a EURO and a UK/Sterling sub folder based website. I also need to target the US with dollar prices. A simple currency switcher will not work for me as I use dynamic pricing (bundle discounts etc and need to mention them in product desscriptions. SO while I do not need different languages after some research WPML may work? My developer thinks it may be complicated. Can you advise if it is ever used in this way and if it is fully compatible with dynamic pricing- if so would I just have seperate descriptions for US english as such so I could write tailored content re bundle discounts?
Hi Amanda,
do you plan to have your products in one language or in many languages? WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual plugins are designed to turn your posts/pages/products into multilingual ones, not to sell product with different the currencies. So if all your content is going to be in one langue only I wouldn’t recommend you to use our plugins but find something dedicated for your goals.
My site is English-only but I need to be able to sell in two different currencies (offline payments). For example, product 123 is sold in Yen. Product 345 is USD. Both products’ info is in English. Will WPML all this even though there’s only site language? Thanks!
Hi Bryan,
the WPML and WooCommerce plugins are not good for your case (if you plan to have content in one language only). I would look up for other plugins designed for your case only.
I would like the French and English versions of my site to co-exist in the same WordPress installation on the same VPS, which would minimize the management tasks of course. I believe that this is something the WPML plugin can allow me to do? Note that my French and English sites would have different domain names, and will also be substantially different (different images and page layouts).
Hi, I am very intersted in your plugin. I am currently working for a large corporation that has 3 instances of wordpress on 3 different domains for different regions. All of the regions are english speaking so in terms of translations that is not a priority (although it might be in the future). I am trying to bring the 3 sites into one wordpress installation on a .com domain. I am wondering if WPML caters for this? Would I be able to have different pages depending on the users region? For example the contact us page has different content depending on if the user is in the US, UK or Canada.
Hi Jack,
if the pages for US, UK and Canada have different contents it makes sense to use WPML and treat each one as a separate language. Some of your pages might be the same, no problem, WPML will handle it too. Please note that our rfunds policy allows you to buy WPML and test it for 30 days, so in case you are not completely satisfied we will give your money back.
I just bought this plugin but used the wrong email address (it’s misspelled) I tried to change it following the instructions and using my email from the paypal account I’d used to pay for it (as it says you can use this) but it’s coming up as not found. What can I do? I don’t want to cancel, I just want my real address so I can use it. Thanks

Hi Ariana, one WPML subscription is enough. So you pay once and you can handle all your sites with this one subscription.
Why is account renewal per year required in the multilingual cms version?
I will make this for a customer and get paid once for the web development
Hi Pau, so in this case please purchase the Lifetime subscription. Please note that you can buy only one WPML license and use it for all your customers.
I would like to get this plugin. But I need to know if I can do a custom language tab.
Do you have a list of language you support.
Thank you
Yes, we do.
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/
if your language is not included in that list, you can add it:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
Hello,
buying the Multilingual CMS Lifetime can we use the licence for multiple website AND domains?
Regards,
Martin
Yes, you can use it for all your sites and all the sites that you develop for your clients. This includes on different servers and domains.
I purchased the multilingual CMS plugin from you last year for the annual price and I would like to renew my subscription. Hi guys, I want to know if I can purchase my CMS now and upgrade it later to the lifetime CMS?
Is it possible??
Thanks!
Yes, you can buy a yearly account now and upgrade to a Lifetime account later. When you upgrade, you will only need to pay the difference.
Hi, I wish to extend my account for 39 USD, where do I find that option?
Thanks
Hi, please log into your WPML account first and you will see all the options you have for upgrading. The options will vary depending on the subscription you have (Blog/CMS) and whether your subscription is still active.
Hi, I am logged in and the question is where do I find the option/options?
Hi,
I bought your plugin in 2013, but for some reason saving menu’s in non default languages leads to 404 error page not found since a couple of months.
I found a possible solution in your support forum but it doesn’t work for me: https://wpml.org/errata/saving-menus-in-non-default-language-leads-to-404-error/
Kind regards,
Rick

Hello I have bought this plugin before & I want to renew 1 year more it should be $39
when i go to check out its show $79!!
The discount works only if you upgrade when your WPML subscription is still active. When did your subscription expire?
Hi WPML team,
I’ve already bought the Multilingual CMS in Feb 02 2015.
I had to reinstall my WordPress on my domain name. But I can’t download again the WPML plugins how can I solve that ?
Thank you

Hi,
Yes this is possible – as long as the file as the matching IDs there is no difference if it’s on the web or in local
Cheers!
Hi Amit,
this is just brillant. I’ll buy the wpml plugin today 😉
Thanks,
