What different between Multilingual CMS and Multilingual CMS Lifetime?
The “Multilingual CMS” will expire after the first year and you will need to pay again ($39) to have access to downloads and our support forum. This is optional, your plugin won’t stop working if you don’t renew your subscription. If you have the “CMS Lifetime” it will never expire and you pay only once when you buy it.

I’m not sure what you are asking for, but yes, you can translate the strings from your themes and plugin using WPML.

This gem allows me to define, for instance, different section types that can be put on a page, then the user can add as many sections on his page as he wants, with different styles. Would that also get translated?

yes, you can do this but you don’t have to since you as a WordPress developer can use one license for all your customers (for different sites) and this is legal. You just need to register the sites (this is done in the plugin settings).

1. Yes, you can. Actually you buy only one WPML subscription and you can use for all the site you build.
2. Yes, you translate the content yourself or you can send them professional translators (this is done via the WPML panel but paid extra). WPML doesn’t translate anything automatically.
3. To handle multilingual shops you need to buy the CMS or Lifetime subscription and install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/ (this one is free by we are the authors). 4. No, you don’t need to go to every product. You set the rate once and then you also have the possibility to set some prices manually for specific products if needed.

I am a bit annoyed at the fact that if I choose say English as my default language and French as the translated one at the moment, and create sections on the English page, they get added to the translated French page, but if I add a section from the French page it doesn’t get added to the English page (I’m using ACF Flexible Content to generate different page layouts from some section layouts organised in different ways). Did this get fixed in the newer versions?

If you buy the $79 subscription and it expires after the year and you won’t do anything, yes, you lose access to upgrades and technical support but you can still use the version you installed.
After the first year you can also upgrade to Lifetime by paying the difference only. Actually you should do this within 30 days before your yearly subscription expires. The Lifetime version allows you to access WPML future upgrades and support forum forever.

We’re building a new website for our saddles in WP, Divi theme. When I have bought and installed WPML, is it posible through WPML to direct the customer to the right language automatically? WPML is compatible with the Divi theme.
WPML can detect the user’s language based on his/her browser settings. This option is disabled in WPML by default but you can enable it in WPML settings. Please note that more important than having this possibility is to make your language switcher stand out. This will help the user to switch the site into their language but also the search engines bots to index your site contents in all the languages available and then you will get organic traffic directly to these pages from Google.
The goal of having a multilingual site is to attract organic traffic from Google (or other search engines), so when people search for something in their language they can see your site in the Google results and the langue detection is not needed any more – since they will jump into the page in the language they were looking for. That’s the power of having a multilingual site with good content and good (= human-made) translations.

They were talking about ‘href lang’ tags and Geo-IP detection. I asked a company how much it would cost to implement and they send me a quote for over 2000 pounds. Sorry we don’t have anything like Geo-IP detection. In WPML setting we have the SEO Options section that allows you to display alternative languages in the HEAD section. Also WPML plugin is fully compatible with the SEO by Yoast and All in One SEO Pack plugins.

Hi Ahmed, WPML supports RTL and Arabic. The only thing you need to take care of is to have your theme RTL ready. Best is to start with a theme that supports RTL out of the box, which means has the proper CSS (“mirroring” your output) included. I would recommend to search for themes that supports RTL. For example, one of our customer (you will find her case study here) used the Avada theme so it worked smoothy.

We’re building a new website for our saddles in WP, Divi theme. When I have bought and installed WPML, is it posible through WPML to direct the customer to the right language automatically? Maybe through IP-detection or something? What should be done to enable this and is it technically complicated? We’re not programmers or anything.

WPML is compatible with the Divi theme.
WPML can detect the user’s language based on his/her browser settings. This option is disabled in WPML by default but you can enable it in WPML settings. Please note that more important than having this possibility is to make your language switcher stand out. This will help the user to switch the site into their language but also the search engines bots to index your site contents in all the languages available and then you will get organic traffic directly to these pages from Google.
The goal of having a multilingual site is to attract organic traffic from Google (or other search engines), so when people search for something in their language they can see your site in the Google results and the langue detection is not needed any more – since they will jump into the page in the language they were looking for. That’s the power of having a multilingual site with good content and good (= human-made) translations.
Thank you very much for the explanation Agnes! I read a few things about having to install or program your website so Google finds it relevant in the right country. They were talking about ‘href lang’ tags and Geo-IP detection. I asked a company how much it would cost to implement and they send me a quote for over 2000 pounds. Do you know anything about this by any chance?

Sorry we don’t have anything like Geo-IP detection. In WPML setting we have the SEO Options section that allows you to display alternative languages in the HEAD section. Also WPML plugin is fully compatible with the SEO by Yoast and All in One SEO Pack plugins.

I have dude, i try to do a purchase with a debit card from usa but the system redirect to bank of america payment window and strangely secure social id asks that I have as a foreigner . I have used it in different places but do not ask me such data. The account is in bank of america. As you could make the payment has another site or mode of payment??. thanks

We have 2 payments gateways: Paypal and 2Checkout. Both offer different payment methods in themselves.
If you can’t use a debit card with PayPal, you can try sending some funds to your paypal account and paying directly from your paypal balance:

Hi Ahmed, WPML supports RTL and Arabic. The only thing you need to take care of is to have your theme RTL ready. Best is to start with a theme that supports RTL out of the box, which means has the proper CSS (“mirroring” your output) included. I would recommend to search for themes that supports RTL. For example, one of our customer (you will find her case study here) used the Avada theme so it worked smoothy.
