  1. Hello

One of my clients engage me to work on his website which is bilinguala and use WPML plugin. He have a lot of posts in both languages and he downloaded WPML All Import Add-on.

I want to buy developer edition with all addon-s but first: After installation of all components and WPML All Import – THIS ADDON DOES NOT WORK!

Nothing, no mataboxes in import form nor any kind of info that this plugin is active (except active message on plugins page).

Do you have any kind of manual for this plugin?

  2. Hi there,
I’m using WordPress for my photo galeries and am looking for a way to the titles and descriptions of my photos translated as well. Does WPML enable me to do so?

    • Hi there,
yes, WPML allows you to translate your images (titles, alts, descriptions). You will need to buy the “Multilingual CMS” or Multilingual CMS Lifetime subscription since only those two include the WPML Media add-on for translating images.

  3. Hi,

I’m trying to create and update my WooCommerce products with a plugin that I’m developing. Does WPML provide documentation how to use it with 3rd party plugins?

    Thanks

  4. Hi WPML,

I am planning to start a multi-language woocommerce shop for different translated t-shirt product.
    For example:
In French shop, with French menu item, sell design A t-shirt with French words, no other language items are shown
In German shop, with German menu item, sell design A t-shirt with German words, no other language items are shown
    ….and other European languages
Therefore, I got different products, different menu items and probably different homepage based on the language users chosen or detected by location.

May I know if this plugin can achieve it?
    Thanks a lot.

    Thanks,
    Anson

    • Hi Anson,
yes, you can have different products, different menus and even different homepages per language. Our plugins allows that. However please note that the main goal of the WooCommerce Multilingual plugin is to help you translate your products, which means that the plugin helps you describe the same product in different languages. Anyway you can test it yourself. Our refunds policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days with money back guarantee.

If you need to use WPML together with the WooCommerce plugin you will need the CMS Multilingual license or the Lifetime license:

  5. Hello

yes, you will be able to translate widgets and images with WPML but to make it happen you will need either the Multilingual CMS ($79) or the Lifetime ($195) subscription. You won’t translate all your widgets and images with the Blog ($29) version.

  9. Hi,

I’d like to buy the WPML CMS package but I didn’t find an answer to the following question: If I upload a featured image to a post or page and translate the post, does WPML automatically detect the featured image and offer translations of caption, alt text and description of the image?

    Thanks

    • Hi,
yes, WPML allows you to translate all your images (including feature images) but to make this happen you will need an extra module called WPML Media. This module is included in the Multilingual CMS ($79) and in the Multilingual CMS Lifetime ($195) subscription.

  10. Dear support,

we have confirmation from our mailing system that these messages were sent. The new account login instructions were sent on the 27th once the order was marked as completed by the system. Today we sent a new reset of your account so you should have received the new access credentials once again. If this is still not the case let me know.

Woocommerce store. The import file will have products and categories in different

    • Every line from your theme (or plugin) can be translated if you use the gettext functions. Then WPML can detect all such lines and you can add the Arabic translation using WPML previously adding Arabic to your WPML setup.

  15. Hi, can you tell me if WPML can translate the content of the website objects. For example in the WordPress theme Beep! can i translate the text that came in Layer Slider or in Revolution slider plugins included in the theme. Can i translate all the strings with the Multilangual Blog or i need the Multilangual CMS?
    Thanks!

  16. Hi,
My client is launching a new website http://cliccanada.ca, which needs to be translated in 3 languages (french, english and eventually in spanish).
I’d like to purchase this plugin although I’m not sure if I should take the lifetime access or the one-year access because of the uncertainty of the business’s development. I read that if we upgrade from the blog to the CMS we only pay the difference. Will it be the same with an upgrade from the regular CMS to the lifetime CMS if in 6 months I want to switch to the lifetime deal? Will I just pay the difference?
    Thanks.

    • Hi Alicia,
yes, you can start with the CMS and upgrade later. You will be able to do so within 30 days before your current subscription expires. So if you you want to pay the difference only you cannot miss your expire date. We will send you two reminders by email. The first one is sent 30 days before your subscription expires, the second one a few days before. If your current subscription expires and you don’t want to extend it’s ok. You will be still able to use the WPML plugins you installed but you lose access to future updates and our support help.

  17. hello
i want to know this plugin have both functionality 1. language change and 2.with woo-commerce product currency changer. i need this plugin ASAP . please reply me
    thanks

  18. Hi, two questions:

    1. We have an expired WMPL CMS license (yearly renewal). Can I upgrade to lifetime at the discounted upgrade price? I see the $116 upgrade option listed when I click “purchase subscription” within my WordPress setup, but then when I click it, I get taken to a WPML page that seems to be missing the option.

    2. My WordPress instance includes a”WPML String Translation” plugin. If I upgrade or renew WPML CMS, is this plugin included or is there a separate purchase price? (I’m clearly not sure what this plugin does.)

    Thank you,
    Joe

    2.

    • The upgrade to Lifetime should work, even if your account has expired. When you click on the upgrade, from your WPML account, you should arrive at checkout page. If this isn’t happening, please tell me and I’ll connect you with our system admin, to check what is happening.

When you upgrade your account, you will have access to all of WPML’s components. You don’t need to pay for each one separately.

      • Hi Amir, thanks for clarifying that we can upgrade even though our subscription expired.

Just to confirm, we can upgrade our expired subscription to lifetime for the $116 upgrade price, right?

        • Yes, you should be able to upgrade an existing EXPIRED account, to Lifetime and pay $116 (the difference). If this isn’t working for you, please leave another message here.

  19. Hi, I am needing to add an additional language to my website which is currently in spanish. I am using free Aubergue theme in word press. I would like to know what do you mean by the 15USD of Account renewal per year in the cheapest option of 29 USD . Does it mean that the multilanguage will be deactivated when 1 year goes by or does it mean that the support will be deactivated?

Also I would like to lnow if that option of 29 USD will be good enough to translate all my website. Its a very simple one but i would like to make sure.

    Thanks!

    Isabel

    • The theme’s page says that it’s compatible with WPML:
      http://www.webmandesign.eu/auberge-wordpress-theme/

If you buy WPML and don’t renew your account, your site will continue to work normally. A valid account is needed to download updates from us and get our support. If your account expires, nothing changes with your sites.

I’m not sure what features Aubergue theme is using, so what it needs from WPML. Most themes need the String Translation module in WPML, which is only available with the full Multilingual CMS package (costs $79). You can buy the basic Blog version ($29) and see. If you need, you can always upgrade later and pay only the difference.

  20. Hi,
I am very interested in buying the lifetime package however! Will I be able to use the plugin on all of the websites I will creating with Word Press across multiple domains?

Also I will be using templates from Elegant Themes and Crocoblock until I develop my own themes is your plugin suitable for these bought themes?

    • You can use WPML on as many sites as you need, for yourself and for your clients. This includes sites on different domains.

WPML and the themes from ElegantThemes are compatible. We work together to ensure the ongoing compatibility. I’m not familiar with the themes from Crocoblock.

  21. Hey!

Is there a way to test your plugin?
I’m not sure which license I should buy Multilingual Blog or CMS.

    Thanks!
    Best regards
    Amer

    • The Multilingual Blog package includes the basic components of WPML, which are typically needed for translating simple blogs. For bigger sites, most people use the full Multilingual CMS package. You can see the differences here:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/wpml-core-and-add-on-plugins/

If you are not sure, you can buy the smaller Blog package now. You can always upgrade to the full CMS package. When you upgrade, you only need to pay the difference.
