Hi Patrick, yes, upgrading from the annual subscription works exactly as you expect. You will be able to upgrade to Lifetime (you need to be log into your WPML account to do so and you will find a link there) 30 days before your subscription expires and you will pay the difference only if you don’t miss your expiry date. We will send you an automatic remainder 30 days before.
We need to renew our license. Unfortunately, we do not have contact with the previous developer who installed the WPML license. How do we go about renewing the WPML Multilingual CMS license?

only the person who bought WPML subscription can renew it. If WPML was registered with your email address you can reset the password if you don’t remember it:
If you don’t have access to the WPML account the only option is to buy it again. If your site using the WPML plugin was registered, you will need to generate the code again (you do this in your new account) and update the code in your WordPress site.

I want to build a bilingual site in classipress. The main ads are posted in english. I want the ability to post ads or blog or comment in chinese for chinese users. For the chinese side I would like the user to be able to pick chinese and keep as default. Is this possible ? When they input text will it be in pinyin?

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to have two versions of the site in English. We are looking for a plugin that will allow us to have an option for people who are within the USA to see certain content and others in Europe to see different content (I’m looking at your plugin because we also ideally want to be able to have other language options too, but wanted to make sure that we would be able to have two different English versions).
Also, I was wondering if it is easy to have one “pop-up” appear the first time (and only the first time) someone visits the site (whether their first visit is on an internal page or the homepage) that will ask them basically which version they want to see, and then will direct them to the language version they need.

yes, you can handle two (or more) English languages in one site. You need to go to WPML -> Languages -> Site Languages. Then click on Edit Language, this will open a new box from where you can add a new version of English or setup a new language.
About the pop-up. Technically speaking this is doable but I wouldn’t recommend this. This might be annoying. Instead I would recommend to add a langue switcher including the language version and make it stand out somewhere (in the menu, in the header, in the sidebar, up to you).

Sure. You only need to pay for WPML once. You get an account and you can use it to install WPML on all your sites and on sites that you build for your clients.

We want our website to be translated in Arabic, but we are thinking that it might cause issue on positioning of some elements (right-to-left instead of left-to-right). Can you please verify if the plugin is compatible on our website http://www.emti-training.com and if we need further adjustment on page elements? Of course you can upgrade to Multilingual CMS subscription as well but as I said since your subscription already expired in this case you will pay $79.

No hay ningún problema. Si actualizas a CMS antes de que caduque tu subscripción Blog, solo tendrás que pagar la diferencia.

what did you do to register the site(s)? If the sites are registered in the WPML account (the owner of WPML subscription) you should be able to enter the site’s key here:

WPML support RTL languages but your theme should include the proper CSS for RTL (“mirroring” your contents). Please find a theme that supports RTL or add RTL support for your theme https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/build-rtl-wordpress-themes/
and your site will be working fine with RTL languages. We also use WPML on our site here:

The URL for your primary language won’t change. When you add more languages each of them will get its prefix.
Allright so its like:
domain.com -> Englisch -> Main-Page
domain.com/de -> german -> subfolder
