  1. Hi

I would like to request for a refund please.

I have had many challenges on this software.
    including the following

    1. Difficulty in understanding the documentation.
    2. Challenges in understanding the implementation of multiple languages in the editing screen.
    3. The complex requirements for plugins and text changes etc etc.
    4. My web-site slowed down dramatically after implementing this software.

Can you kindly consider refunding this please.

  2. I wanted to ask a question about translation of the backend template .php files or include files etc, is there anyway of hard coding your translate software into the page template etc

    Thanks

    • Hi Jacob,
I’m not sure if you understand your question. If you use the gettext function (in your PHP templates) to wrap your strings that need translations, you can then “tell” WPML to detect them and you will be able to translate them in your WPML panel. Is this what you need?

  3. Hello.
I just got in to this website – another company has built it – and used WPML. Now there is 6 updates; WPML CMS Nav, WPML Media, WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML Sticky Links, WPML String Translation and WPML Translation Management.
How do I know what it bought to this site? Can the other company has bought this plugin by them self and not specifically to this site?
What do you recommend me to do?
    Anna

    • Hi Anna,
the plugins you listed are included in the WPML Multilingual subscription or in the “WPML Lifetime” subscription.
When a developer buys a WPML subscription it can be use for many sites. So you can still use the versions they installed. If they registered the WPML plugins for this specific site and they’ve had the Lifetime subscription, you can update WPML from your WordPress admin, otherwise you need to buy your subscription. Does this help?

      • Hello – and thank´s for your respons.
Yes it helps me. I can not update this plugins, so it is not a lifetime subscription then.
I talk to my customer and ask if they want to buy again.
        Thank´s!
        Anna

  4. Hello,

I would like to know if the country (and based on that currency and price) can be set automatically according to shopper’s IP/geo-location or does it have to be set manually by shopper?

    Thank you and best regards,
    Drew Nakari

    • Hi Nakari,
in WPML you don’t set the countries you set languages instead. If you mean a possibility to detect a user language automatically, WPML has an option to redirect your user to her language according to her browser settings. That’s it. I’m not sure if I answered your question.

  5. Hi WPML,

Are you offer free 30 days trial version? I am interesting your product, however i need to make sure it has feature as expected.

    Kind regards,

  6. Hi,

We purchased WPML multi language CMS through a freelancer on freelancer.com one year ago. Now it’s messing up our site and we need to update it. Can I pay for the upgrade if we didn’t pay for it originally? (we paid the freelancer).

If not, what happens if we buy and download WPML now? will it keep all our content and settings or?

    Thanks
    Bjorn

    • Hi Bjorn,
in order to get access to WPML updates you need to have an active WPML subscription. The owner of the WPML subscription is the person who bought it, so in your case, the freelancer. You can ask him to register WPML in his account so you will get automatic updates. Please note that this wasn’t possible in old WPML versions so I’m not sure if your freelancer will agree to make the manual upgrade first (this is required for older WPML versions, before 3.1.7). If this is not possible, you will need to buy your own subscription and update it yourself.

Then you need to update it, here you will find the instructions:
      https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/

You won’t lose your settings and translations.

  7. Dear WPML-team,

I have to upgrade my plugin, but I don’t have the right log in data unfortunately.
The designer puchased the plugin, I received the login data but they don’t seem to work. Can you please help me?

    BLOOMs regards, Marieke

    • Dear Marieke,
you can reset the password to your WPML account using this link:
      https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/
but the email will be sent back to the account owner. If you are not the owner of the WPML subscription (the owner is the person who actually purchased the plugin) it won’t help you, so you have two options:
      1. Ask your designer to update the WPML and register it. This way you will be able to update it from your WordPress admin with a single click.
      2. Purchase the WPML subscription and do the steps mentioned above yourself.

  8. Hello!

I need a little help before buying: I’m not sure which version of WPML I need. I’d like to use it to translate my website. I’m a photographer so I just need to have my pages, blog posts (portfolio items), and contact form (cf7) translated. The admin site doesn’t need translation.

Do you have any infos, or you can tell me the answer?

    Thanks for reply,
    Best,
    Benedek

(my site: http://xn--eskvi-fotk-obb5h95c.hu/ – this is strange because of my hungarian domain)

    • Hi Benedek,
      do you use this theme:
      http://themeforest.net/item/zephyr-material-design-theme/9865647

If so, it looks like you need the “Multilingual CMS” subscription.

But you can start with the Blog subscription and if it turns out that you need some extra modules that are not included in the Blog package, you can upgrade to the “Multilingual CMS version and pay the difference only. This can be done by following a link in your WPML account.

  9. Hi, have you a trial version of plugin?
Or can answer me on some question:
    1) I need transform my existing site (with some plugins) into multilingual with sub-folder sites structure (as example site.com/en, site.com/de, …)…
    2) I need one users database for all multilang sites…
    Is it possible?

    • Hi Andrew, yes, both options are possible to achieve with WPML. This is exactly how WPML works: you can easily set the structure with subfolders and everything will be stored in one database.

  10. Good day,

First time WordPress user, will be building website for small law firm. English/French desired languages. with browser auto detect and language switcher. (all translations will be manually done withing firm.)

Need to choose wordpress hosting solution. using WPML plugin, is it easier/more efficient to just have one website or two websites?

Is the CMS Multi-lingual plan sufficient?

    Thank you kindly

    • Hello Henry,
maintaining your multilingual website from one WordPress (one website) is easier. The language switcher will be generated for you automatically. Yes, WPML has an option to detect the user language (set in his/her browser). If you are new to WordPress I would recommend you to choose a theme that is WPML fully compatible:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/

Yes, the CMS Multi-lingual plan will be perfect for your case. If you like WPML, you can upgrade to Lifetime later and pay the difference only.

  11. Hi,

I’m trying to purchase your “Multilingual CMS” product, but when I click on “place order” the message “VAT API Error: GLOBAL_MAX_CONCURRENT_REQ” is displayed.

In the VAT area I wrote BE+”10 digits” (my VAT number).

Can you tell me what did I do wrong ?

    • Hi,
I need to consult this with our developers, but please try again, we are communicating with an external system so the problem may be solved now.

  12. Hi,

I have bought lately the following WP theme http://primetrans.ninzio.com/ from themeforest.

In my dashboard / plugins tab, a pop is showing saying “WooCommerce Multilingual is enabled but not effective. It requires WPML, WPML Translation Management, WPML String Translation and WPML Media in order to work”

Please i need to check if your WPML Multilingual CMS includes all what is mentioned above or should i have to buy every one separately (WPML, WPML Translation Management, WPML String Translation and WPML Media).

Does it need professional skills to do it, or it’s well documented / easy to install and use?

I would appreciate your reply at your earliest as i am short about time.

    Many thanks.

    • Hi Rony,
the WooCommerce Multilingual works with our WPML plugin. It won’t work itself.
Here’s the list of plugins required to make your WooCommerce store multilingual:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/

Yes, you should manage yourself, no professional skills are needed.
For example this girl built the online store herself using our plugins:
      https://wpml.org/2014/03/build-online-store-different-languages-wordpress-wpml/

      • Hi Agnes,
        Thanks for your reply.
I have checked the links. Actually WooCommerce Multilingual is enabled in my theme. All what i need are the Plugins in order for WooCommerce Multilingual to be effective and work.

As mentioned in the link that you have sent me, i can access the Account / Downloads page after purchasing WPML (in my case: Multilingual CMS / CMS Lifetime case)

I just want to make sure that all the below plugins are included in this package before doing the transaction.

        WPML 3.1.5 or above
WPML String Translation 2.0 or above
WPML Translation Management 1.9 or above
WPML Media Translation 2.1 or above
        WooCommerce (already installed in mytheme)

        Thanks again.

  13. Hi.
I want to create a web site with a huge database. Exactly 400 pages for each language being 5 languages so far, maybe more in the future. Each page, besides the home and contact has the same format, different content.

I have this database in Excel and I have used WP All Import to import the .csv file from the Excel to generate those pages.

I’m interested in your plugin but I don’t know if I would be able to create those databases separately for each language, importing from a .csv file.

Do you have a trial version of your plugin? Or can you explain to me how this process is?

    Thanks

  14. Dear,

Since I bought this plugins, I can not update it again because I can no longer log in with my account.
The username is strenge and is refusing as showing bellow.
    (see bellow)

So what should I do to log in?

I have forgoten the email address I used. Can I have it back please?

    Thank you

  15. Hi,

I want to buy the lifetime plan but I want to make sure whether this plugin is right for me. So here are a few questions:

    – I’m using Genesis Daily Dish theme. Will it work on my theme?

    – I am on VPS plan and I made a sub-domain for the second language. So what should I ask for my hosting service provider? I know almost nothing about technical stuff.

    – If it turn out to be impossible to install on sub-domain of my server, will you refund?

    Thanks!

  16. Hi,

It won’t let me pay to upgrade to a lifetime account. I tried two different credit cards and in both cases the payment was “invalid”.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Kendra

      • Hi again,
one admin says that other customers have been trying again or trying with another gateway and they succeeded.

        The other admin recommends:

“One possible reason with Paypal falls with browser cookies on the client browser: the browser is not accepting cookies.” So please clear any existing cookies and try again, it should resolve the problem.

      • Hi,
I did what you said and it is still failing… New error code: ERROR CODE:PE101

Can I pay over the phone please?

  17. Hello, i would like to ask you if i buy one wpl package for one year what happens if i don’t pay when it expires in the next year? i have one website i want to translate for now but i don;t know for sure if i will have more sites in the next years that will be needed to be translated, so if i buy one package and do not pay for teh other year what happens? one more question is if i pay 79$ for example and want to upgrade the same year for some reason to the higher 200$ how much will i pay? the 200$ or the 121& that remains? thank you in advance.

    • Hi George,
if you buy the “Multilingual CMS” subscription and you don’t renew it after the first year, your plugins will still work but you lose access to future releases and our support forum. You can upgrade to the Lifetime version and pay the difference only.

    • The “CMS Multillingual”. The “Blog” subscription won’t be enough for such a website. And you can upgrade to Lifetime later and pay the difference only.

  18. Hi, I installed WPML directly from the plugin panel in WordPress a couple of months ago. I was about to purchase the WPML extensions today in order to unlock woocommerce features, but I decided to update first to the new release. At that moment my WP crashed (error 500). I could deactivate the plugin via FTP, so my site is still working, but now I’m wondering what to do. I need to fix the basic WPML install before purchasing the licence, or at least get some advice. Can I have a forum account or receive support before being a customer? Thanks in advance. Juan

  19. I’m reviewing my last message and I found what I installed from WordPress panel is actually this: WooCommerce Multilingual – run WooCommerce with WPML . The version I installed in November notified my I needed WPML in order to work. Updating THAT plugin is that my WP crashed. Anyway, I’m still a bit worried, as I don’t know if installing WPML will fix the problem with the Woocommerce extension. Hope I described the issue better now. Thank you.

  20. We are considering using WPML for a client website, however I see mixed reviews with regard to bbpress compatibility with most search results from over a year ago. Can you tell me about the current state of bbpress and WPML compatibility?

    • Hi Scott, I’m sorry but right now WPML is not compatible with bbPress. We have plans to take care of it in the near future, but currently – no, it’s not compatible.

  21. I’m building a website for my non-profit. I’m new at website design and understanding how multi-language website works on the back end. I’m using Avada theme. I would like to have it have a Vietnamese version for the users’ ease of use. Is Vietnamese one of the language on the list? I do not need it to be in Vietnamese on the back end and prefer it to be in English. I will have multiple editors. I’ve requested for a copy of CMS but I’m not sure. With CMS, can it be in English on back end? Also, what about fields that my theme populates and that I cannot control, like “contact info”, “get social”- do they get translated by CMS automatically ? I have plugins such as “Woo Commerce”, “Events Calendar” and “Seamless Donations”. Do the pre-populated fields get translated automatically too? Thank you for your help.

    • Hi Myle,
      1. Non-profit organizations can apply for a free subscription:
      https://wpml.org/purchase/non-profits/
      2. WPML works well with the Avada theme, you should be able to translate eveyrthing (please note taht WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically)
      3. WPML supports Vietnamese
      4. Yes, you can select English as the language for your back-end
      5. Each of the editor can choose his/her langue for the back-end independently
      6. With WPML you will be able to translate all elements coming from the Avada theme, for the elements coming from different plugins – t depends on the plugin. WPML works with the WooCommerce plugin. Here is the list of all plugins compatible with WPML
      https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/

  22. Hi

I am about to commence work on a WordPress site that needs to be bi-lingual in English and Arabic. WPML claims to be able to work with Arabic but I am curious as to whether everything works fine regarding special character recognition and reading right-to-left.

Do you know of any other websites built using WPML that cater for Arabic that I could look at, just to be assured?

    Regards,

  23. Good day,

My name is Claudia and I have a small company making websites. When I buy a Multilingual CMS Lifetime package one time. Can I use it for all websites I create that need more languages? Or can I only use one licence/package per website only?
Also when I buy and it is for multiple websites we buy one time $195 and then we can use always and always download the newest versions for as many websites we need?
    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,

    Claudia

    • Hi Claudia,
it works exactly as you expect: you need to buy only one WPML subscription and use it for all your customers’ sites. If you buy the WPML Lifetime, you pay only once and you will be able to get future updates and our support help forever.

  24. Hi. We want to purchase WPML for translating a Bostan WordPress site. We would like to know which version of WPML we need to purchase in order to translate the site.
Bostan has a custom page layout for product showcase, but they’re not articles or pages, so I don’t know if the basic version of WPML is enough. thanks

    • If the site has a custom page layout for product showcase it will probably require the “String translation” extension, which is not available in the “Multilingual Blog” subscription. So I would recommend you to start with the “Multilingual CMS”. You will be able to upgrade to the Lifetime later and you will pay the difference only.
