Hello,
I’m currently working on a wordpress site that uses Advanced Custom Fields flexible content along with other ACF field types. The site also uses The Events Calendar plugin by Modern Tribe. We want to have the front-end of the site translated into Chinese.
Would the “Multilingual Blog” package be sufficient for our needs and will it be compatible with the plugins that I mentioned above?
To be able to translate sites built with ACF and Events Calendar plugin, you will need WPML String Translation and WPML Translation Management add-on plugins. These add-on plugins are not available in the “Multilingual Blog” package. In this case, you need to get the “Multilingual CMS” version of WPML. With “Multilingual CMS”, you will be able to translate the site built with ACF and Events Calendar.
May i know if i purchase $159 with unlimited of sites, It’s mean i Can use all of Sites for one year or forever? If i purchase today, Can i install in my sites for next year?
Thanks!
The $159 package (“Multilingual Agency”) gives you access to plugin updates and our support for 1 year. After that year, if you don’t renew the account, the existing sites will continue to function normally. However, if you don’t renew the subscription, you will not be able to download WPML from our site, or update it in your existing sites, also you will not be able to get support.
So, to sum up: your existing sites will work after a year, but you will not be able to update them. Also, you will not be able to install WPML in more sites after a year.
Once you buy WPML, you just log in to your account on WPML.org and go to the “Order History”. There, you will be able to download your invoice.
Before getting your invoice, we advise you to go to the “Account Settings” page and add information about your company, as it will appear on the invoice.
I got from you a email, taht I have a live tiem account. But in the backend I see now that my account has no more updates in september. Why dont you commit to your promise?
I am sorry, but I did not understand your message. You said:
– You got an email from us that you have a WPML Lifetime account.
– Then you say “in the backend, I see now that my account has no more updates in September.”
My questions to you:
1. When you say “backend” and “my account”, are you talking about your account page on wpml.org or the WordPress backend of your website?
2. We are now in July. Why do you mention September?
3. What do you need? What do you expect to see? Which updates? Is there something not working? I don’t understand what promise do you think we broke?
I got a email that i have a lifetime account. But if I login I see that my liciens ends in Septemper. So will the licence renew automaticly without paying?
Hi, Andreas! We just checked and your account is not a Lifetime one. You have the Multilingual CMS account, which is a yearly account – it needs to be renewed each year. This is why you see that in September, your account will expire. I presume that the email you got is actually about reminding you to set up automatic renewal for your account so that you don’t forget to renew it every year. Let me know if you have any more questions regarding this, I would be happy to help. Kind regards, Dario
Thank you for your great service.
I want to ask, if I purchased WPML, do you automatically renew my account and withdraw the amount after one year?
Or I have the right to disable the yearly update?
Yes, of course! After your purchase, you can go to the “My Account” page on wpml.org and then click “Order History”. On this page, you can disable the automatic renewals, if you wish.
Hello,
i work in an agency that create sites for customers.
With Multilingual Agency version of WPML can we use WPML with the sites of our customers or can we use WPML only with sites of our property?
Thank you.
Best regards
I want to know if is possible to upgrade the Version of the plugin after purchasing, if I understand the version purchased is not all compatible for all my site. I’ve some custom fields to traslate and I want see if is possible to use only the economic solution (multilingual blog)
Hello, I plan to purchase your plugin when I came into this website https://prosentra.com/wpml/ which offers the plugin for $15, is that site a partner and I can purchase the plugin form it or this is just another scam?
Thanks in advance
Shaimaa
We are currently in buidling up our agency for webdesign and want to buy the agency version of wpml.
Due to not have founded the agency yet we cannot provide a UID (tax number) yet. Is it possible to edit the account details and insert the tax (UID) number at a later time?
We need to charge VAT at the time we sell. That’s how VAT works. How about buying the “Multilingual CMS” account now and upgrading to the “Agency” account later when you already have the VAT number? This way, you’ll only be paying VAT for $79 and not for $159.
When it comes to any content embedded as iframes, it depends on where the contents of these embedded application forms are coming from? Are they in your site or is this some service outside your site?
What this means is:
– If these forms are created and present in your site then yes, WPML will enable you to translate them.
– If these forms are coming from somewhere outside your site then WPML will not be able to let you translate them.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if anything is not clear and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for your prompt response, the forms are coming from somewhere outside and embedded as iFrame on our webpage, any way to achieve translation through your product?
Hi, Som! If the forms are coming from outside your site then no, WPML cannot translate them. In this, case, the translation of the forms needs to be done on the site where the forms are coming from. Then, when you embed these forms on your site, you would load the form in the correct language. Kind regards, Dario
I have a Chinese site (I have a version of Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese in two domain).
Now, if I use this plugin to add more languages, who they fall under my current main domain and have the site’s domain authority?
In addition, if one post(or page) has multiple version of languages, would they eventually have its own url and page, and do those additional languages competible with my All in one SEO plugin and can do well in SEO?
In general, with this plugin, I don’t have to manually manage hrefleng tags right? And Google will recognize that its the same site but direct traffic to the correct version?
This all sounds good. Last question, once purchased, if I don’t renew does it still work? Or am I required to renew each year for 59?
Yes. WPML will manage the HREFLANG tags for you automatically. Google will understand how translations are connected and what is the language of each page. It will realize that it’s one site with several languages (even if you use separate domains).
Renewals give you access to our downloads and support. If you don’t renew, WPML plugin will still work for you. You will not be able to download WPML (current and new versions) and get support from us. But the plugin doesn’t just stop working if your account expires.
hi, we have bought this plugin but are having problems so we sent a question on the support forum but we do not know where we will see the reply from you? can you please tell us if the reply is emailed to us? this is very important for us as we are currently having our website messed up. thanks.
Hey i renewed my wpml account with 50% off this order details :
#2115701 (May 14, 2018)
Now i want to download wpml but i saw it locked
Please give me 50% discount again to renew it
Thanks to WPML.
Hello! I looked at your account and saw that the order number #2115701 is in your name and was REFUNDED. I myself cannot grant you any discounts, but I just wrote to our Accounts Manager. Please write an email to her at hello@wpml.org and put your order number as well. Kind regards, Dario
Can I have a website in 2 languages without it creating another page/post in that language? Suppose I have a post in english and I translate it into russian, it creates a new post in russian. Is there a way to prevent that?
No, actually, this is exactly how WPML works. It creates a new post for the translated page. There is also a very good reason behind this, as was proven with time. Creating translations in any other ways becomes too messy, too quick.
So, to answer your question: this is a fundamental way how WPML works and no, there is not an option to prevent that.
If you’re building sites for many clients, our Agency account is probably best for you. It allows you to build unlimited sites with WPML for all your clients. You don’t need to pay separately per site but just for your account.
Your account comes with one year of updates and support. If you don’t renew it, the plugin will work but you will not have access to download WPML anymore. This means that you will not be able to get updates.
Hello Owen,
Thanks for your interest. If you plan to use WPML on other clients’ sites you may need the Agency subscription which allows to register unlimited sites and gives you access to all modules. It has a yearly subscription fee of 119$.
The single-site subscription costs 29$ and allows to install the core plugin only. It has a yearly fee of 21$.
You will need an active subscription in order to keep access to updates and support.
Pricing question: does a Multisite install (plugin not Network Activated) count as a single site under the CMS tier? Or would each Multisite site I activate the plugin on be considered a “site”?
Each site on the network requires its own activation. If you’re installing WPML on a multisite and you need many child sites running it, you can get the Agency account for unlimited sites.
Hi,
I have an issue with our license, it no longer works, I have a message saying it is not valid.
I have been using WPML for more than 2 years now, I am buying the Multilingual CMS and I was charged 79$ USD the first year, and 39$ USD for the first and second renewal.
I was using WPML on a few sites for our clients and on some of our sites and on some development sites installations, we do have now 11 sites working (for the last 2 years). Since June 2016, I was never aware I had to purchase a Multilingual Agency license. Even when I renewed the Multilingual CMS last June I was billed 39$ USD (order 937736).
I am wondering why suddenly I need to buy another Multilingual Agency license, on top of the one I have purchased last June?
I do not mind buying the Multilingual Agency license, if for now on it is required to have more than 3 sites.
I do not want to have to buy both licenses!! That would not be fair in my opinion…
Can you bill me the difference, between the last purchased license of 39$ USD (order 937736) and a new one for the Multilingual Agency license for 74.30$ USD.
Looking forward to receive an answer to solve this license validation issue.
We don’t have a trial version for WPML, but we do offer refunds. If you buy WPML and you’re not happy with it, you can get a full refund up to 30 days from the purchase.

After reviewing the list, I see that most (and major) plugins you listed should not be a problem to translate and are indeed compatible with WPML.
However, I do have two suggestions:
1. Go to our Plugin Compatibility page and see if all of these plugins are listed:
– For each plugin you can see the compatibility status, link to documentation, and if there are any known issues.
2. Take a look at our documentation regarding our WPML add-on plugin called WooCommerce Multilingual:
– You need this plugin to translate WooCommerce sites, so our documentation should give you an overview of the process.
Additionally:
– WPML allows you to translate any texts (or strings as we call it) in your site and can scan themes and plugins to find translatable texts. This is a very powerful feature and it also makes me almost certain that you can use WPML to translate your WooCommerce site. Actually, if you cannot do it with WPML, I honestly think any other plugin will have the same issue.
I’m currently working on a wordpress site that uses plugin Chauffeur Booking System for WordPress. Plugin wrote, that your plugin is supported. I want to have this plugin translated into Russian and it must be used in two languages (Orig Eng plus).
Would the “Multilingual Blog” package be sufficient for our needs and will it be compatible with the plugin that I mentioned above?
Because I see the category Vehicles in the plugin Chauffeur Booking System is not a custom post, so that is a probleme, right?
I never worked with that plugin, so it is impossible to say for sure. You can see a comparison between the Multilingual Blog and Multilingual CMS version, here:
One thing to point out is that the Multilingual Blog does not allow you to translate custom fields. I am not sure, but the Chauffeur Booking System looks like it could have custom fields, for example.
Anyway, my honest suggestion would be to get the Multilingual CMS version. It features some important features that the Multilingual Blog does not. And you will be sure that the Chauffeur Booking System plugin will be translatable (their site states they are, but it doesn’t state for which WPML type).
My website server is based in Singapore but my client base and target market are in China. I was using a GTranslate before, but found that the continuous referencing to Google slowed the website down to an unusable loading speed (between 30 seconds and 1 minute). Since deactivating and deleting GTranslate, disabling Google fonts, and a few other optimisations, the loading time has decreased to between 3 and 15 seconds. This now leaves me with no translation tool for my website, so I am trying to evaluate what is available.
I have searched your website for information about Chinese, China SEO and Baidu but could not fond what I am looking for. With regard to SEO, everything seems geared more towards Google, but that is of no interest to me. Please can you confirm that WPML will interact well with Baidu bots/crawlers?
Also, please confirm that I will be able to do automatic page/post/product translations, easily and without the need to hire a translator.
WPML adds language information to your site in a way that any crawler understands. This includes Google, Bing, Baidu, Yandex and any other search engine.
Baidu will perfectly how translations are connected. With WPML, you can place translations in “folders” or in domains or subdomains.
WPML also works with popular SEO plugins to create different sitemaps for different languages.
We refer to Google a lot on our site because it’s popular for our European clients, but the material applies to Baidu the same.
The articles you found related to SEO mostly talk about Google because this is the most widely known and used search engine in the world. So, 99% of questions related to SEO from our clients and prospects are about Google.
However, this does not mean that WPML is solely tailored for Google. WPML follows all the general SEO standards and makes your sites generally SEO-friendly, no matter if you are focused on Google, Baidu, Bing or any other search engine.
Regarding the automatic translations… Yes, since WPML 4.0, we offer you a tool called Advanced Translation Editor, which is an excellent, advanced translation online service, connected directly to WPML. It features machine translation, but you still need to translate each page – you cannot have pages to be machine-translated on-the-fly when people visit a page in another language.
I am working on a website under developing mode, and it will use a different domain name from the production site. Can I purchase 1 site license to use for developing now and transfer it to real site after? Can I upgrade to my license after and pay the difference, or I have to purchase a new license if I want to upgrade.
On that page, you will see a workaround for that one issue can be easily implemented by installing a tiny add-on plugin, for which there is a link on that page.
Other than that, yes, you can use Sensei and WPML together.
Hello,
I’m currently working on a wordpress site that uses Advanced Custom Fields flexible content along with other ACF field types. The site also uses The Events Calendar plugin by Modern Tribe. We want to have the front-end of the site translated into Chinese.
Would the “Multilingual Blog” package be sufficient for our needs and will it be compatible with the plugins that I mentioned above?
Hi, Jeff!
Kind regards,
Dario
May i know if i purchase $159 with unlimited of sites, It’s mean i Can use all of Sites for one year or forever? If i purchase today, Can i install in my sites for next year?
Thanks!
Hi, Tom!

Dario
I need invoice once I make a payment for WPML CMS version. Do you send invoice via email or can be download directly from your page ?
regards,
Waldek
Hi, Waldemar!
Once you buy WPML, you just log in to your account on WPML.org and go to the “Order History”. There, you will be able to download your invoice.
Before getting your invoice, we advise you to go to the “Account Settings” page and add information about your company, as it will appear on the invoice.
Here is our short documentation page about getting the invoice:

Hi, Andrea!
I am sorry, but I did not understand your message. You said:

– Then you say “in the backend, I see now that my account has no more updates in September.”
My questions to you:
1. When you say “backend” and “my account”, are you talking about your account page on wpml.org or the WordPress backend of your website?
2. We are now in July. Why do you mention September?
3. What do you need? What do you expect to see? Which updates? Is there something not working? I don’t understand what promise do you think we broke?

Hi, Andreas! We just checked and your account is not a Lifetime one. You have the Multilingual CMS account, which is a yearly account – it needs to be renewed each year. This is why you see that in September, your account will expire. Due to not have founded the agency yet we cannot provide a UID (tax number) yet. Is it possible to edit the account details and insert the tax (UID) number at a later time?
Cheerz
We need to charge VAT at the time we sell. That’s how VAT works. How about buying the “Multilingual CMS” account now and upgrading to the “Agency” account later when you already have the VAT number? This way, you’ll only be paying VAT for $79 and not for $159.

You can choose where to add languages to. If you want to merge your two existing sites into one WordPress installation (still on two domains), read this FAQ:
https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
Translations always have their own URLs. This allows Google to index the different translations and send them the traffic in the correct language.
Okay got it.
In general, with this plugin, I don’t have to manually manage hrefleng tags right? And Google will recognize that its the same site but direct traffic to the correct version?

Sim. O WPML permite que você mostre o conteúdo no idioma correto, de acordo com o idioma do navegador.
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/
Mas lembre-se de que o Google não gosta desses redirecionamentos. Eles podem fazer com que o conteúdo em outros idiomas desapareça completamente do índice.

Hi there,
We’re an agency pitching for a job for a client needing a multi-lingual e-commerce site. They are not keen on a recurring subscription.
Can you confirm the price for a one-site one off fee for this product? It would of course need ongoing updates for compatibility.
We may use this for other clients so if you have another payment plan do let us know.
Thanks
If you’re building sites for many clients, our Agency account is probably best for you. It allows you to build unlimited sites with WPML for all your clients. You don’t need to pay separately per site but just for your account.

Hi,
I would like to test the plugin. It’s possible?

Hi, Alexandra!
Kind regards,
Dario
Hi, again!
Sorry, I just realized that you never mentioned WooCommerce, just that it is an e-commerce site. 🙂
In this case, you can ignore the part about WooCommerce Multilingual since you will not need it because you don’t use WooCommerce.
Kind regards, Dario
Hello,
I’m currently working on a wordpress site that uses plugin Chauffeur Booking System for WordPress.
Thanks
Hi, Olga!
Kind regards, Dario
Hi,
My website server is based in Singapore but my client base and target market are in China.
Best regards
Mick
WPML adds language information to your site in a way that any crawler understands. This includes Google, Bing, Baidu, Yandex and any other search engine.
Baidu will perfectly how translations are connected. With WPML, you can place translations in “folders” or in domains or subdomains.
WPML also works with popular SEO plugins to create different sitemaps for different languages.
We refer to Google a lot on our site because it’s popular for our European clients, but the material applies to Baidu the same.
Does this help?
Hi, Mick!
You can read more about this editor and how it helps you to use machine translation, here:

Hello
I am working on a website under developing mode, and it will use a different domain name from the production site. Can I purchase 1 site license to use for developing now and transfer it to real site after? Can I upgrade to my license after and pay the difference, or I have to purchase a new license if I want to upgrade.
Thanks
Yes, sure. You don’t have to register WPML on the development site. You can buy WPML and register it only on the production domain.
We are building a multi language LMS system. It will be in English and Arabic.
We are planning to use WooThemes Sensei. Please let us know if it works with WPML.
Thanks,
Pranav
Hi, yes, Sensei works with WPML. There is currently only one known issue, which is documented here:
On that page, you will see a workaround for that one issue can be easily implemented by installing a tiny add-on plugin, for which there is a link on that page.
Other than that, yes, you can use Sensei and WPML together.
Kind regards, Dario
