Hello, I’m thinking about buying your plugin, but I have a question. After paying the basic price, will I have to buy a subscription extension to make the plugin work?
Hello Adam,
you can start with the Multilingual Blog package ($29) and in case it turns out that you cannot translate everything with this version, you can upgrade to the Multilingual CMS package later for the difference in purchase price. But you should be able to translate posts, pages, categories, tags, menus with the Multilingual Blog package.
But if by “subscription extension” you mean if you need to renew your subscription after the first year, the answer is: not necessarily. If you don’t renew, you can still use the plugins that you installed and downloaded but you will lose access to future versions and our support help.
I am trying to migrate my wordpress website to php 7.1. I bought the license of WPML, but when I am trying to update my site, it tells me that I only have basic access. And that I need those 2 extra modules. Is that true?
La mise à jour WPML est incomplète
Vous exécutez sitepress-multilingual-cms et wpml-cms-nav mis à jour, mais les composants suivants n’ont pas été mis à jour :
wpml-string-translation
wpml-translation-management
Hello, I have just replied to your previous comment. According to this message, you do need some extra plugins. But only our supporters can ask for access to your site to see the whole context. That’s why I suggested contacting our technical help at https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/
I checked your account and you have the “Multilingual Blog”, The String Translation and Translation management plugins are included in the Multilingual CMS or/and Multilingual Agency. You would need to upgrade to use the plugins. You will find a link to upgrade in your WPML account.
Hi, we’re a group of entrepreneus of Argentina planning to buy your highest plan as an asset to have a clear website development proposal to our clients…
Do you have some kind of discount or something like that?
Hello Pablo,
Thanks for your interest. I am afraid we do not offer discounts. The Agency subscription gives you access to all our modules and unlimited sites for a year, with renewals at 119$. If it is too much you are welcome to start with the CMS at 79$ and when you are ready upgrade to Agency for the difference.
Hello there
I am developing new multilingual website using the multisite concept with woocommerce.
I am planning to purchase your Multilingual CMS version of the plugin but I have the query regarding the subdomain functionality. Do this plugin work on subdomain ?
Also will this plugin be domain specific as my website will have different development domain and different production domain will the plugin work in that case also
Please reply ASAP
if your subdomains are part of one WordPress install (WordPress multisite) it’s considered one site (when it comes to registering WPML). If these are separate WordPress installs, you will need to register each one separately.
You need to register each domain/site separately. Go to Plugins->Add new and switch to the Commercial tab.
“and the lcient does not want it, can I use the license for a different page?” yes, you can.
It depends on what you need to do. Not all cases require using the extra plugins. Please open a ticket in our support forum and explain what you are trying to do and one of our supporters will explain to you what specific plugins you need to achieve it. https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/
Hello Marina,
What do you mean by “I am unable to receive any help with it”. Have you opened a ticket in our support forum? If so, may I please have the link? I will contact the supporter assigned and check the status. To request a refund please use this link: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
How do I get full reimbursement? The automatic process & the manual updates fail. In both cases, I am unable to unlock the potential of my WPML package. How do I get reimbursed? What is the process?
Hello Marina,
I have replied to all your previous comments. I shared the link to the form where you can request your refund but before you do so, please open a ticket in our support forum and I’m sure one of our supporters can help you to fix all your issues.
Hello Andrey,
I am afraid we do not issue invoices in EUR, but you can try downloading one from the payment processor. To download the invoice from our site (in USD) please log in and go to Order history where you will find the transaction and a link to download the invoice.
Hi, Im thinking of buying your plugin, however i wanna be sure about something.
Im using WooCommerce plugin and running and online store, if I used your plugin to translate my products, will they be searchable (in my website’s search)?
Because I heard that they might not be detectable when searched.
Yes, they should unless you use a custom solution/plugin that is not compatible with WPML. In this example: https://ecommerce-wordpress.discover-wp.com/ we use WPML and Toolset plugins (developed by the same company) and it works fine (you can switch the language in the footer).
i am currently running my site on a subdomain of wpengine and i am planning to change my domain. Should i first change my domain and then start the migration process from qtranslate to WPML?
Yes, that would work better. If it’s possible, you can consider maintaining two domains for a while, hide the new one from the public view, and migrate to WPML. In case something unexpected happens, you can reset the new site without problems.
Hi,
Thanks for your interest. I am afraid we do not offer free trials of WPML. You are welcome to try our plugin and if it does not suit your needs we will refund you. You have until 30 days to do it https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/.
Hello Mathieu,
All other transactions are being processed successfully. Please try from a different browser. You may also need to contact your credit card to authorize this online transaction. Remember you can also use PayPal, if you have an account.
We are an organization trying to build a multilingual website and we were wondering if you still offer a free License to charitable organization. How do we go about it? What would be the cost otherwise?
Hello Solange,
I am afraid we have stopped supporting non-profits for now. We continue to support the existing ones in our system but we cannot take new ones. You are welcome to buy WPML and try it for 30 days. If it does not suit your needs we will refund you https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/.
Please check our pricing here https://wpml.org/purchase/
.
Hope this helps!
Do you have a non-profit license? I am building a site to help people go vegan for the animals and the environment. To help people come to realization of animal suffering and the larger climate footprint of animal consumption.
I’d need to translate the page in 5 languages and WPML Multilingual CMS seems to be up for the job, however we are working like a charity and won’t collect money or earn any. To diminish costs for us is necessary.
Hello Nicky,

We would like to purchase one of your plugins for worldpress and we are wondering what happen if we do not pay the yearly renewable pricing? We do not get updates or it does just stop working?
Hello,
it won’t stop working. You will lose access to the plugins section in your WPML account and our support help. You will be able to use the plugins that you downloaded and/or installed.
Just wanted clarification on one point on your pricing comparison table.
From the two WPML pricing columns on the right – Multilingual CMS & Multilingual Agency.
Both provide the same functionality only difference being the number of sites (3 / unlimited).
Just checking that the number of site difference means the number of installs of the plugin on different domains i.e. it’s not related to number of languages.
That’s right. We count only domains. When you register WPML, our system asks you to enter the domain. The “Multilingual CMS” account will allow you to register only 3 domains.
I am looking into the options of making a large e-commerce website multilingual. As the shop is mainly selling in Asia, my first question is: Does WPML support Thai, Lao, Kambodian and other languages like Mandarin? The second question is: As the shop has a steady flow of new things coming in and other products frequently getting erased from the shop it’s not an appropriate idea to send every bit and piece to a translation service – especially when dealing with thousands of products. So the easiest way I could imagine would be to have some kind of auto-translation (maybe backed by Google or Bing?). Does WPML support any kind of auto translation?
Thank you very much in advance for answering my questions.
Best regards,
Sascha
Would it be possible to import/merge these installs with WPML or would you recommend to create a fresh WP-installation and add the articles manually one by one?
and another question: Is there anyway to test if a theme is compatible with WMPL before purchasing?
Sorry, but WPML will not support this exact configuration, where the language information is part of the URL, but the entire site is inside a directory.
You can use URLs such as:
nordicoil.eu
nordicoil.dk
nordicoil.de
I’ve run out of support a few months ago, but now I ran into a problem where I really need support haha. Should I buy the 29$ or the 79$ for some support right now? I have the WMPL translation CMS up to version 3.9.3.
You should renew your account with the same account type as you have before. Most likely, WPML support will first ask you to install the recent version of WPML. If your account expired several months ago, you’re running on an outdated version. Many support issues get resolved themselves when updating the plugin.

As you are based on Hongkong, the price is HK$, right?
The company is registered in HongKong but we sell in US dollars.
How does it work to assign the license to the different pages?
And if I setup a demo page for a client, and the lcient does not want it, can I use the license for a different page?

Hi,
is WPML compatible with the DIVI theme? Does it enable a multilingual E-Shop with WooCommerce?
Thanks!
Hello Carine,
Yes, WPML works well with WooComerce and Divi. Please check the following links

1) WPML ships with the most common languages defined by default, but you can add as many languages or variations as you need. Take a look at this page for more information:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/
2) We recently added support for machine translation through the “Advanced Translation Editor”:

Hi,
I am considering purchasing WPML for our shop.
At the moment we are hosting the blog of our shop on separate WP-installations:
Would it be possible to import/merge these installs with WPML or would you recommend to create a fresh WP-installation and add the articles manually one by one?

but we don’t have support for the configuration that you asked about.
We list themes that we’ve tested with WPML here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
In any case, if you buy WPML and you’re not happy (theme compatibility / functionality / anything else), tell us and we’ll refund your order.
