  1. Hello Dear

I have a question for my website on WordPress, I have tried a lot of plugins to translate my [portfolio] and [Clients reviews], but they where only works for [pages] and [posts]

What type of your offers will work for me

The 29$ will work for me?!

Or I have to buy the 79$ ?!

I’m using the [WPBakery Page Builder]

    with [TheBuilt v: 2.2.1] Theme

    • Hello,
WPML works with the WPBakery Page Builder and you need the CMS package (the Blog package won’t suffice in this case). The TheBuilt theme wasn’t tested by our Compatibility Team and we don’t know if everything will work as expected. The theme authors declare WPML compatibility on their site so there is a chance it will work. What you can do is buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind and check it yourself. In case of any issues, you will have 30 days to contact our supporters and request a refund.

  2. Hi,

what should we purchase if we will use WPML for 3 environments?

    staging.domain.com
    uat.domain.com
    domain.com

    Thanks!

    • Hello, the CMS package allows you to register 3 domains. If you don’t want to “waste” your key for testing environments, you can install WPML plugins and not register them on this domain. The plugins will work but you won’t get automatic updates. Soon we will better handle keys for staging environments, this is coming.

  3. hi there again agnes

don’t shot the messenger. or shift blame.

    please see attached

    fyi. this is Win10/Firefox

and this gets me no closer to purchasing your product

    kind regards

    Don

    • Hello Don.
You can upload your screenshot somewhere else and share the link. It’s not clear what you mean by “you site throws an error “unable to verify Captcha WHEN THERE WAS NO CAPTCHA PRESENTED.

      GO FIGURE”

Which site? This wpml.org? If so, which page? What do you do exactly?

If it’s our site using WPML, please provide the link to the page which throws the error and describe what you do. If it’s your site using WPML, please let me know if you reported the issue via our support forum. It is important to do so before blaming WPML for issues. The reason is that a WordPress site is a set of plugins that can cross-conflict and our supporters need to investigate your issue first to make sure it’s indeed WPML causing it.

We are here to help you Don but we need more info from you to understand what is going on and where. Thank you.

  4. Hello, I use an automatic RSS feed import (wprssaggregator) on my website. This imports news from other websites, then creates a blogpost from it, partly in English.
Can I have these posts translated fully automatically once they have been published by the feed import tool (also fully automatically)?

    Thanks and greetings

    • Hello, we are compatible with the WP RSS Aggregator plugin (please check this link: https://wpml.org/plugin/wp-rss-aggregator/) so you should be able to translate the posts but I’m not sure if you can use machine translations for these posts. I need to check it with our Compatibility Team. I’ll kee you posted.

    • The devs from our Compatibility Team tell me that you can set up this plugin to create posts on your site too. Such posts can be run through our ATE editor which provides machine translations. So if you have the plugin set up like this, you need to buy the CMS package, install the main WPML plugin but also the Translation Management plugin and then you can bulk send your posts to our ATE editor that provides machine translations.

  5. Hello,

I would like to start using automatic translation with Deepl for my website. In the Translation management on the tab Automatic translation tools, I see only the possibility to pay with a credit card.

Is there another way to pay for the automatic translation credits because our foundation has no credit card.

    Kind regards
    Henk Petter
    Gaia Nederland

    • Hello Henk,
I am afraid we only accept credit cards for the automatic translation subscription payment.

      Kind regards,

    • It will be possible to buy credits but since WPML 4.5, which we plan to release soon (in about two months).

  6. I want to buy your service for 79 € and you are writing that the renewal for next year is 59 €. After I do my payment and you are asking me to confirm automatical renewal for 70,80 € ? How do I need to understand that?

    • Hello Egle,
It looks like we are also charging you for VAT. If you have a valid VAT number please add it to your Billing details and we will not charge you for it.

      Kind regards,

  7. You can upload your screenshot somewhere else and share the link.

    * why should i hv to do that?

It’s not clear what you mean by “you site throws an error “unable to verify Captcha WHEN THERE WAS NO CAPTCHA PRESENTED.

    * yes well if you had the sensible logical functional option of being able to upload screenshots and/or attachments, you would hv known exactly what i am talking about a week ago!

    * seeing it wasn’t clear (you DO know the saying about pictures and words, right?), i will try to clarify –

    * when i use the CC option that you told me about, after i fill in details, and select ‘Purchase’, instead of processing payment, it throws a “Unable to verify Captcha” error, when it fact NO Captcha was displayed. i suspect that the Captcha is on the other PP payment screen, and not on the different CC payment screen, but it could be some other related error.

    * this is all happening on the wpml.org site on the ../checkout page

(again, if you had an upload function, you would hv known all this a week ago)

    * of course if you used the PP payment forms that actually INCLUDES the CC option underneath on the same page, possibly we would not get this error.

Which site? This wpml.org? If so, which page? What do you do exactly?

If it’s our site using WPML, please provide the link to the page which throws the error and describe what you do.

    * as per above.

    https://wpml.org/checkout

(ah, yes, a screenshot would be faster, better, and easier – and less problematic)

UPDATE: YOU KNOW WHAT. THAT WPML SCREEN WITH ERROR MESSAGE HAS BEEN SITTING HERE ON A TAB ALL THIS TIME WOULD YOU BELIEVE; AND ON A WHIM, I JUST DECIDED TO CLICK THE ‘PURCHASE’ BUTTON AGAIN, AND AFTER THE SCREEN GOING GRAY, AND SITTING THERE FOR ABOUT 15 SEC, IT CAME BACK WITH A (APPARENTLY) CONFIRMED PURCHASE. AMAZING BECAUSE YOU WOULD HV THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD HV JUST TIMED OUT AGES AGO ANYWAY.

    regards

    • Thank you for your details. Now it’s clear that you have an issue with purchasing WPML and not your WPML site (which wasn’t clear from your first message). I can see that your order is completed and your WPML account has been set up correctly. You can reset your password using this link: https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/ In case of issues with your account/order please contact us directly via this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/

Please note that here in pre-sales questions we use WordPress comments. And they don’t allow attaching images.

  8. Thank you, Agnes and Mercedes,

    Cannot wait for two months,
I will see if I can use our own Credit Card and charge the Foundation.

    Kind regards

  9. Dear Team

I want to ask for some clarification.

I have a webshop on my page, and in that I have products in different languages. Mock exams to be precise. Here is one example: https://valueinsights.ch/shop/itil4foundation-mock-exam-pack-280-practice-questions/
Now I want to set up variable products for these, because basically it is one product with several varioations. One package has 160 questions, the other 280 and both are available in English, German and French.
So basically, I could create 1 variable product in WooCommerce and add attributes to the product for question count and language, so overall, I would have 6 variations, which is fine.

What I want to achieve is that whenever I select a language swatch it switches to that variation of that product aaaaand it also switches the language of the product itself (like the title, description and so on).

So my question is, how this can be achieved? Does WPML have such a capability?

    Thanks and Cheers,
    Alex

    • Hello Alexander,
it is not possible to achieve what you need using WPML. Maybe you could handle it using some custom coding but this is out of the scope of our help. Let me quickly explain how WPML makes products multilingual and then you can think if there is a way to combine your site with what WPML can output/provide.

So, when you create a WooCommerce product and WPML is installed on your site, you can create a translation of this product that would work like this:
      English:
      https://woocommerce-and-toolset.discover-wp.com/product/yellow-rain-boots/
      Spanish:
      https://woocommerce-and-toolset.discover-wp.com/es/producto/botas-de-lluvia-amarillas/

As you can see these are separate URLs.
If you want, you can also use a WPML option that allows you to display the original post if a product translation doesn’t exist.

Now, when you translate products, what you see in the WPML translation editor are only strings of text coming from your product description. All other product fields (such as the price, variations, categories etc) are also handled but automatically (you just need to provide translations where needed, for example, translate your categories).

  10. Hello Mercedes,

So it means that you have all my company information, because I already gave you my VAT number when I tried to buy the first time and it didn’t work. It is FR40879717775. I use it only for foreign companies like yours because my status doesn’t require it.

    Regards
    Egle

  11. Hi! I have a custom template made with ACF Forms.
we have created custom post types with the same name called plug in.

will I can use WPML to translate those?

    Thank you

  12. Hi,

I just want to check, if we publish 150,000 words/month and want to translate them into Spanish using DeepL, that would be 450,000 credits. If we wanted to translate into Spanish and French, do we need 900,000 credits, because it’s two languages?

Also, does the system cache the translation once it’s done, so every pageview doesn’t use up credits?

    Thanks

    • Hi Ryan,
If we wanted to translate into Spanish and French, do we need 900,000 credits, because it’s two languages?
      YES
does the system cache the translation once it’s done, so every pageview doesn’t use up credits?
Yes, we only charge for the translation once

  13. Dear team,

I have a questions regarding the multi currency checkout. If you would set a distinct price for a product. So that it will allways will be 40 GBP and the customer buys it will the customer then be charged in my stores currency or in GBP?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    best Chris

  14. Hello, I would like to know if WPML is compatible with Porto Theme (and will be able to translate the theme texts) and if it’s compatible with Bookly-Pro and it’s add ons (example: Bookly Stripe ad-on, Bookly deposit ad-on…)

    Thank you in advance.
    Kindest regards.

    • Hello Sandra, this theme is not compatible with WPML. Some of our users do report issues and we have repeatedly tried to reach the author over the years but we haven’t had a response. If they could contact them and ask them to reach out to olivia.oprey@onthegosystems.com, our Partnership Manager, then we can move things forward. Thank you.

  15. Hello,
we’d like to use WPML both in our staging server and live server.
We are going to build a website on a staging server and then publish the website on a live server.
Once the website will be online on a live server, we’d like to keep the staging server to develop new pages and features.
What version of WPML do you suggest us to subscribe?
    Look forward to your feedback.
    Thank you
    Regards

    • Hello,
please use the CMS package. You don’t need to register both the staging server and live server if you don’t want to “waste” your key but you will need to manually update WPML plugins (Plugins > Add new and upload the copy from your hard drive) if your site is not registered. Soon we will better handle keys for development/production sites.

    • Yes, Avada works fine. What’s the full name of Bookly-Pro? You can check it yourself too:
Here the lists of plugins compatible with WPML:
      https://wpml.org/plugin/
if you cannot see your plugin there, the compatibility status is unknown.

  16. Hi,
I’m looking to go multilingual for our website which is made with WordPress + Avada. I assume ts not a problem, but I’d appreciate confirmation.
    Thank you and kind regards

  17. Hi, I have a valid VISA debit card, but PayPal does not accept it. I try to make contact with them, but get no response. Can you accept payment in any other way than Paypal? I had a registration via an agency, then set up a staging site, and now have lost the licence key.
    Regards,
    Ben

    • Hello Ben,
Yes you can pay with your VISA debit card directly by selecting Alternative payment method at checkout.
      Let me know?

  18. Hello WPML team,

I’m trying out your plugin on a friend’s website. Everything works and looks great, great work!
However, there is one little thing that disturbs me before buying the plugin for my own usage:

Once you activate your plugin (WPML), the site language in (settings->general) becomes disable and is replaced by WPML default site language. Which makes the dashboard change in this new language (if you choose a site default different from the WordPress default).

However, if i want to create a website for a client in a different language, i will not speak the language of the site default.

So, what i can do is change the user language to one that i do speak in order for the WordPress dashboard to be in my own language again, which works in part.

However, there is still plenty of translations that is not taking into account while being from a user language.

For example -> the WordPress login (because you are not connected yet) is remaining on the language of the default WPML.
But other translations like this from the theme or from other plugins are remaining in the WPML site language default. (And not user)

Is there a way not to have this effect? That would help a lot !

    Many thanks for the help,

    • Hello Ed,
thank you for considering buying WPML.

Please visit the user’s profile (inside your WP admin go to Users > pick the user (edit) and scroll down the page to the Language section (dropdown). Here you can set the user’s site language independently to WPML’s settings). You can do the same for your user if you want the site’s language to be different.
