  1. Hello,

    Hope you are doing good,

We’re using your plugin in our multiple clients site but now we’re looking to check our plugin with your plugin, so regarding that we need a help from your side i.e if possible provide a demo site with your plugin so that we can install our plugin and run a test with your plugin.

  2. Hello Agnes,

Thank you for your reply the June 15at 6:59am.

However, as i was telling you, setting the user profile is not enough and there is many translations that are not being translated while having the user profile to the language of our choosing.

For example, when login on the Wp dashboard, the language are still on the WPML default language, and this is the same for plugins translations as well as other theme translation.

So, i want a way to have the WPML language default not to impact the translations except the page or post content.
    Is there any other ways?

    Thank you,

    • Hello Ed,
it’s difficult to debug your issues site via comments. There can be many reasons why you see some translations in a given language, these can come from your theme/plugins mo/po files. I have tried to reproduce the issues you are describing and it works fine for me. My site’s primary language is Polish, I added English and German and after switching the German user’s dashboard to German (in his profile) I didn’t find any pieces appearing in Polish (only some in English where the German translations was missing).

So I don’t know how WPML impacts your translations and whether it impacts it at all or it’s just WordPress and translations coming from po/mo files from your themes/plugins.

      How about this:
      1. You buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind
      2. You open a ticket on our support forum. You explain your problem
      3. If it turns out that indeed WPML changes the language of your site and setting up the proper language for a user profile doesn’t help, you can request a refund.

  3. Hi

I have a website and have done all the translation from English using the Loco translator plugin.
Now I would like to switch to WPML to make the site multi-lingual. Can I use the translated strings from Loco, or I would need to re-translate the entire website using your plugin?

    Many thanks
    Zan

    • Hi Zan,
Regarding strings, as WPML String Translation works with .mo files, as long as you can export your .mo files and place them in the /wp-content/languages/ folder, String Translation should be able to read and use them.

  4. i’ve tried clearing cache, a different browser, and using a private browser window and i’m still getting the “unable to verify captcha” error when trying to purchase the plugin. our client does not have or want paypal so i cant try that.

  5. i’m trying to purchase the plugin and i’m getting a “unable to verify captcha” error. this is on wpml.org/checkout. here’s a screenshot: https://snipboard.io/wZ1taK.jpg. there is a hidden captcha field on the form that apparently is not working properly.

  6. Hi,

I’m on the Canary Islands, which belong to Spain but have a different tax regime: VAT/IVA is not applicable to us. There’s also no mechanism that’ll reimburse any VAT paid. How can I purchase the WPML CMS licence sans VAT but with a valid invoice?

    Kind regards

    • Hello, yes, WPML can automatically redirect visitors according to browser language. This option is disabled by default and you need to turn it on in the WPML setup.

  7. Hello

If I opt to use deepl, how does deepl get paid? Do I need a separate subscription with them? (I don’t seem to be able to find a corresponding package among their services e.g. Website integration. Their packages are standalones, for translation a word doc, PDF etc).

Also, I have 1 main site (with its reservation system being hosted by a 3rd party) as well as 17 ‘window sites’ each of which point to the SAME reservation system. While they mean ‘appear’ to be different sites (for marketing purposes) they are in fact all branches of the main site, point to that and, as stated, to its reservation system.

How then would WPML bill me for credits used with deepl (were I to be billed for 18 sites it’d clearly be cost – prohibitif.

I have had a quote from another WP multi-lingual plugin however it’s simply ridiculous pricing (200% more than my dedicated SERVER each month!)

    Thank you

    Kind regards
    MH

    • Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
Deepl is the best translation service and it is reflected in their pricing. DeepL = 3 credits/word while Google Translate = 2 credits/word. Here you can see our current pricing for credits: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

Soon (when WPML 4.5 is out, which will happen in about 2 months) we will provide more options, for example, you will be able to buy a certain amount of credits instead of setting up a subscription which is required now.

I don’t know if WPML will work with your reservation system. WPML can translate regular pages and posts and everything that comes from plugins compatible with WPML: https://wpml.org/plugin/ Please note that the translation process happens on your WordPress backend.

  9. Hi,

If I buy the license “Multilingual CMS”, after 1year I can use the plugin?

Assuming I do not renew the license:
1 – on sites where the plugin is installed, does it continue to run normally after 1 year?
2 – of the 3 licenses, will the unused ones still be used after 1 year?

I take the opportunity to question, for example:
    – if you buy today 06/16/2021
    – and not renew on 06/16/2022
    – Can I “renew” in the following years (06/16/2023, 06/16/2024, ….), or does it only work in contiguous years (renewals year after year)?

    Best regards,
    Rui Cerqueira

    • Hello,
If you don’t renew/cancel your WPML subscription, WPML plugins on your sites will continue wroking but you won’t receive updates.
No, the unused keys cannot be used after the first year in this case because an active WPML subscription is needed to register WPML on a new site.

You can renew your subscription even after a break but when you do it on time, you will pay less (see the “Account renewal per year” row at https://wpml.org/purchase/)

  10. Hello, I have few questions before I go further and buy the Multilingual CMS version for a fresh woocommerce website.

    1. If I do translate the whole website via automatic translation, how will get charged? (2000 credits for Free before I get additional credits)
    2. Will I get charged every month for the same page with the same content? (Translation memory says “No”, please confirm)
    3. If an English item, (e.g. Post, Page, CPT, product or widget), is not translated into French will that item disappear from the french version? Or I can make the non-translated English item visible even if the visitor is browsing the site in French?

    that’s all for now
    Regards,

    • Hello,
      1. How it works now you will be charged according to this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/ and the table. If you use more than 2000 credits we will charge you according to the table. Soon (when WPML 4.5 is released, which is in about two months from now) we will provide more options, for example you will be able to buy credits in advance without setting up a subscription.
      2. No because your translations are saved on your WordPress site and you are charged only when new credits are used (for example you added new content).
      3. Both options are possible with WPML. The default is that the item won’t shop up.

  12. Hi there,

We’re currently developing a new intl. site on WordPress.

Most of our proposition and offering will be the same for every territory (and so the page layout & theme will remain the same), however, some aspects of our product vary between markets (e.g. the packages we have available to customers in Spain vs UK are different).

My question – is it possible to also change images (as well as translated text) depending on the territory? Or even choose not to show or show different content depending on the territory with WPML?

    Thanks,
    Oli

  13. Hello, I have a multisite and my some users want multilingual website. So I looking multilingual plugin that support WordPress multisite.

Can my users who want activate without enter license? Or need enter license every sub site who want activate?

  14. Hi,

May I know if I am able to manual input translations using WPML? I only require the plugin to enable toggling between 2 languages but I would like to input my own translations.

    Much thanks.

  15. Hi Mercedes,

Thanks for your reply – in addition my my previous question:

Is it also possible to choose to not show specific pieces of content at all in different territories? (e.g. If I have 3 packages [displayed in boxes] in the UK but only 2 in Spain – I have no need for the 3rd package box in Spain and so I don’t want it to show at all).

    Thanks,
    Oli

  16. hello,
    I have 2 questions:
1- if I don’t need to add any translation after my yearly license expire, Is it possible not to renew license?
2- can I upgrade The complete solution for multilingual WordPress to The complete solution for agencies, building many
multilingual websites and pay the fee difference?
    thank you

    • Hi!
If you don’t pay for the renewal you will not receive updates, support or be able to download any version. Your translation will remain as-is on your site.
Yes, you can upgrade to the Agency version for the difference only at any time (as long as the subscription is active)

  17. Hi Mercedes,

Thanks for getting back to my previous question. In addition to the question I asked yesterday:

Is it also possible with WPML to choose not to show specific content depending on the territory? (For example, I have the product features displayed on my website, all features are available in the UK, but only half of them in Spain and so I want to choose to not show them completely).

Do I have complete control (over text and images etc.) to edit the block for each territory in this way?

    Thanks,
    Oli

  18. Hi Support,

We are looking for plugin for creating WooCommerce site with multi language (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese) and there are 3 questions about our plugin.

    1. Our users would like to view the order summary with product name in English and Chinese in WooCommerce. Does this plugin integrate with any export order details plugins / any workaround which allows us to generate order summary report with showing product name in 2 languages?

    2. We would like to customize order confirmation email in WooCommerce. Does this plugin integrate with any email customizer plugins / workaround which allows us to translate the content of customized order email?

    3. We may use Asiapay as payment gateway in WooCommerce. Is there any workaround to redirect customer to different language of Asiapay by their selected language?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Selina

    • Hello,

      Please visit this page:
      https://wpml.org/plugin/

and expand the first dropdown, under Plugin Functionalities. At the end of the list, you will see plugins with the WC prefix. These are WooCommerce addons WPML is compatible with. Please check if any of these plugins seems like a good candidate for your requirements. I’m afraid none.

  19. Hello,

I would like to make a multilingual website. I would like it to have only one domain, no subdomains.

Just like Facebook.com ou Youtube.com which do not show subfolders.

Is it possible with WPML ? If yes, how ?

    Thank you

  20. Is the plugin fully compatible with the plugin Ultimate member?
I mean I have problems with the Polylang plugin because of permalinks of certain pages of the UM plugin and also because it doesn’t translate the email templates.
Will this plugin save my life or not?

    Thanks.

  21. Hi.
    I don’t understand the pricing.
    I pay the first year.
My site is translated and every time I post something new is it translated?
When is that you use credits?
If I don’t renew after the first year ir the second one. Will my new posts be translated but I won’t get plugin updates? Or my new posts won’t be translated?

    Thanks

    • If you mean one of these translation services:
      https://wpml.org/translation-service/

you need to pay extra and you would need to check the pricing with an individual service. Clicking on the Get a quote button will help.

Please note that you can also use machine translations and then review the translation yourself or hire someone to review it. Reviewing is cheaper than be-spoke translation.

  22. I have a multisite running for 3 countries(under same domain, am using subfolders), and one testing site. Can I know which WPML package is suitable in this case?

    • Hello, you need one license key per WordPress installation. If you have a WordPress Multisite, you can use only one key for all of your sites, otherwise, you need as many keys as your sites. You can also register your site as a testing one and then switch it to mark it as production (with the same key).
