Hello Mer,
Installing WPML is a matter of a few minutes. You will see a wizard where you are choosing languages. Then you need to add the language switcher. But later on, you might need more time to translate your pages. The details depend on how you want to translate your site: manually or automatically and how big your site is. This video can help you better understand how WPML works. It’s about something else but I think it will still help you: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UHpdYNR9iZuwWTCKZgGymOF9y28f5lPD/view?usp=sharing
Hi, I do need a multisite structure due to different connections to a third part system. I did install multilingualpress to achieve this. I do want to add som automatically traslation to the site. Can I use your plugin for that?
Since it is already multisite structure I dont want to create any new slugs in the URL for the norweigan language, the result should then be that http://www.xxxxx.com/no still have the same URL but with norweigan language.
Please check my site and let me know is it compatible with this plugin. And what kind of support we can expect from your team once we purchased this Plugin.
We are planning to buy Multilingual CMS account for it.
Need answer ASAP, so we can move forward accordingly.
Hello, I can see that your site uses the Houzez theme which is compatible with WPML. Your site also uses the WP Rocket plugin and the Slider Revolution plugins and we are also compatible with them. I don’t know what other plugins are used on your site.
I’m not sure what you mean by “static” pages. You can translate the content of your pages using either automatic translation or manual translations (or both). Strings that come from plugins/themes can be translated too in the String Translation panel.
Hello,
I already have a site which uses Woocommerce. If I purchase WPML Multilingual and download the plugin will it automatically integrate into the site that I already have online.
Hello Peter,
You will find the pre-configured languages here and in the case you want to use our automatic translation, the languages supported.
Regards
I purchased the WPML plugin yesterday, March 4, 2022, but I couldn’t register an account with a username and password, nor was I allowed to download the plugin. I made my payment through Pay Pal. If you need PROOF-OF-PURCHASE, I can send it to you. Please send the necessary information so that I can finally download the plugin.
Hello,
you must have made a typo in your email because I cannot find any user in our system with your email (the one you used to post this comment). Yes, we need something that will help us to find your order in our system and we will update your email. I’m sending you a direct email so that we don’t exchange sensitive data via comments. Expect an email from Agnes Bury.
Hi! I read that WPML plugin is suitable for WordPress multisite. We use a Multisite as well, and would like to use a plugin useful for it. Will I need to buy the plugin for each domain in my multisite, or 1 purchase for 1 domain will be enough for all of them?
Plus, I want to know about the accuracy of your translations, certainly, there is a difference between machine translations and human translations, but could you elaborate on that?
Hello,
if you use WordPress in the WordPress Multisite mode, then you need only one registration key for your entire WordPress Multisite.
For machine translations we are integrated with the APIs for the following search engines:
a) Microsoft Azure
b) Google Translate
c) DeepL
and you can check the quality of these translations at https://www.deepl.com/translator or https://translate.google.com/
Please note that the longer the text is, the better quality you will get because the engine will know your context.
Hello Peter,
I’m not familiar with Avas theme. However, if you are using Elementor, our recommendation is to use the Multilingual CMS package.
Keep in mind that you can start with our Multilingual Blog license and upgrade it in case it is not enough to translate your site.

Hi,
I dont need to cross-link the languages. I would like to translate the site http://www.xxxxx.com/no to Norweigan, today the text is swedish. I then activate your plugin on that site. Can it take the current swedish text on that site and translate it to Norweigan without creating a new slug on that site (as http://www.xxxxx.com/no/NO_nb/ or similar)? The result should then be that the site http://www.xxxxx.com/no will have norweigan text.
Will your plugin support this on my existing multisite structure?
Hello Andreas,
if you translate your pages to Norweigan all your pages will get the “no” prefix in your URL (providing you selected “folders” in WPML settings). So if your site already includes the “no” part in the URL, you will end up with https://site.com/no/no/om-oss/ (double “no”). Another option is to use “parameters” instead of folders and in this case, you would get: https://site.com/no/om-oss/?lang=no
Hello! I have WPML premium but I’m unable to login here on WPML.org. When I try to reset my password it just says “email doesn’t exist”. My subscription has to be renewed in 14 days and since I can’t login you’re about to lose a customer…
Hello, there is no user in our system with your email. Please send us your order (or invoice number) number and I will be able to see what email address you used when buying WPML.
Thank you for replying to my email Agnes Bury. Please once visit our site viapromo.co.uk it is a Multisite with 5 different domains. Now, before buying the plugin, we wanted to make sure if the plugin would work with such platform. We want the plugin to translate the text from viapromo.co.uk to 5 domains with different languages.
I read about multisite configuration of the plugin, but it was very confusing. That is why I am asking if it fits this scenario of us, and if it helps our needs. Plus, please mention if the plugin has a trial period, so we see how it works.
Please provide a detailed information, and explain these aspects. You can kindly also refer me to tutorials or documents about this which explains such things. Looking forward to doing business with WPML.
Yes, you can buy WPML and test it for 30 days keeping our refund policy in mind. You can even ask for technical help on our support forum during that trial: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
I think that the best option for you will be to buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind. You will see a refund form on your WPML account. It will be active for 30 days.
I’m considering purchasing WPML for use with a small, 100-page online “encyclopedia” for which I’d like to use a knowledge base plugin or theme. Can you recommend WPML-compatible knowledge base themes/plugins that might be suitable? Also, I wonder whether the basic version of WPML will be suitable for my needs: all content except the interface elements will be translated by professional translators as the material is all legal documentation.
Hello June,
In the following link you will find some Knowledge Base options that are already compatible with WPML.
On the other hand, for a project like yours which will involve professional translators, I would recommend you the Multilingual CMS license.
I hope it helps.
Hello, can we add as many translations on one page? Let’s say, for example, I have a page that I would like to translate into 20 languages, would that be possible? Is there a limit? Can I add translations as many as I want?
Hello there,
Sure, if you are using manual translation, you can add as many languages as you need. However, if you are using our Automatic Translation, it could be limited by the Translation Engines.

Till here, as I understand, while using different domains, we would have to park them to one main domain in which WPML is installed. Whenever someone clicks on one site like viaaquaria.com, it will redirect it to the main site. This will allow the plugin to translate the texts in different languages on the main site while it shows the language based on translated text being German or Dutch, right?
Now, is it the same for WordPress multisite? How would it be different?
The other question: What if for some domains I do not want the text to be translated in my multisite/ or lets say the different domains because it is already translated in another language. So, in this case, is the plugin capable to give me the option to set the link of those domain in the drop down menu of language translation bar of the plugin? For example, lets say the main domain is example.com, and I have example.de, example.se as domains which needs translation by the plugin, and meanwhile I have example.co.uk, and example.net should remain on their original languages, Will the plugin allow them through code, or its options to show them in the same drop down menu of languages with flags (with flags for instance)?
Finally, I assume if we use different domains, which are parked to the main domain for the sake of WPML, the plugin will give the like drop down menu to them as a language bar to choose from, as it is in this WPML.org page on the left of the login page?
Now from our expert on this topic:
“you are required to declare one declaration and use sunrise.php file drop-in in order to enable the setting for multisite (experimental) mode.”
For the second question – we am not sure exactly what you want to achieve there, but in general, you can point as many domains as you wish to your multisite, but only 1 per language per subsite of the install.
If you have WPML with translated contents, then enable the domains per language, you can specify the second language to use another domain. Still, that domain has to be pointing to the WordPress install.
Finally, if you configure the domains properly, and you have a language switcher, then on the front-end you will be given a language switcher with the different domain that is for the appropriate language translation.
We are a company and we are going to create a Multilingual and Multivendor Marketplace using WordPress, we use Dokan Plugin to create our solution and we have found that your plugin is fully compatible with Dokan.
So we want to go to the purchase but would first like to ask you some questions:
1. How much is the free trial period?
2. Can you give us a discount coupon?
3. We use in our site, Dokan Plugin, Woocommerce Plugin, and others, is your plugin able to translate all that?
1. You need to buy WPML normally (one of the three packages we provide, the CMS package is best for your case) and you will have 30 days to request a refund in case you are not satisfied.
2. Nope, we don’t have any discount coupons, the only exception are nonprofit organizations.
3. Yes, WPML works with WooCommerce and you can translate products, categories and other WooCommerce staff. To translate other plugins you might need to use the String Translation plugin (available in the CMS package)
Hello Adam, yes, it does. You can add all these languages and make Polish the default language. You can also use automatic translations to speed up the translation process on your site.
Hello, translating items from headers, footers and widgets usually require the WPML String Translation plugin which is not available in the Blog version, so you need the CMS package.
Hi!
Regarding your answer:
“Hello Andreas,

Then I also need to make https://site.com/no/om-oss/ (without the parameter=swedish text) not be indexed at google (will be duplicated content with the swedish site if it is), what can I do to do to manage that?
Hello,
that’s the whole point of making a site multilingual – to get indexed by Google and other search engines and this way to attract traffic. Otherwise, you can just use a plugin that translates pages “on the fly” why a user visits a specific page (instead of saving the translations in the database as WPML does and allowing them to be indexed by Google). I don’t know why your original site already has the “no” prefix in the URL. Please note that there is no prefix/parameter created for the primary language of your site. You can also create a custom language with a custom prefix and map it to Norweigan if you want to keep your existinf “no” prefix for something else. This page explains how to add a custom language: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
Hello, we are using the WP multisite mode and are interested in consolidating some of our subsites for IT, FR, DE, ES, and PT. We would like to update the website above to be the central site for those regions and integrate WPML. Are you able to check our theme/plugins as well as the use case above and let us know if everything is good to go?
Also, I assume there are no trial periods, we simple purchase the license and if there are issues we can get a refund, yes?
Hello,
yes, we have a refund policy that allows you to buy WPML and test it for 30 days without risking your money. You can also ask for technical help on our support forum during these 30 days.
I have to buy more credits (which wasn’t abundantly clear at point of purchase).
Your estimator tool states 43000 x 6 languages to cost $234.80 for 576000 credits.
My only options to buy are $180 for 200000. This is not a comparable cost per credit. Your estimator cost per credit is 0.0004 whereas the only rate I can actually buy at is 0.0009 ($180 for 200k).
How do I obtain the rate in your estimator tool please?
Hello,
there are two ways of purchasing credits:
a) “Pay as you go” option – it’s cheap and you can estimate the price using this calculator , which I think you already did.
b) by buying packages of credits – this option is expensive – the prices can be seen here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#buy-a-package-of-credits
If you need the cheapest option, please use a). In this case, you need to provide your card number but we will charge you only for the number of credits you used. As soon as your site is translated and your card is charged (charging happens at the beginning of next month), you can cancel “Pay as you go”.
How can I contact support without being registered? I have a problem with an order (already paid)
As I said, your previous comments were waiting for moderation. I have just replied and I also sent you a private email.
Hello,
I’m interested in purchasing WPML for $99, with yearly renewal of $74. Can you tell me what currency that is in? Is that in US dollars?
Thanks.
Hello Chris,
Yes, that’s the price in USD dollars.
Cheers

My site does have multisite structure and the the site are today as below
http://www.xxxxx.com/sv
http://www.xxxxx.com/no
http://www.xxxxx.com/en and so on.
All sites are currently in swedish language since that is the main translation I have made. I want to change the language on
http://www.xxxxx.com/no to Norweigan
http://www.xxxxx.com/en to English
The translation should be based on either http://www.xxxxx.com/sv or the current swedish language on http://www.xxxxx.com/no (or http://www.xxxxx.com/en)
Since it is already multisite structure I dont want to create any new slugs in the URL for the norweigan language, the result should then be that http://www.xxxxx.com/no still have the same URL but with norweigan language.
Can your plugin help me with desired result?

Hello Andreas,
You are saying “I did install multilingualpress to achieve this”. Please note that https://multilingualpress.org/ is a plugin to make your site multilingual using WordPress Multisite (WPMS) setup. How about if you consult your case with the authors of that plugin? WPML works with the WordPress Multisite setup as any other WordPress plugin, which means, it treats an individual subsite of your WPMS as an independent WordPress installation and allows it to make it multilingual. This means, that by default, using WPML you cannot cross-link languages from different subsites of your WordPress multisite. This would require using some special configurations, some examples are covered in these two articles: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/multilingual-site-network-with-domain-mapping/ and https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/languages-in-domains-for-wordpress-multisite-mode/

When you have a multisite with different domains (without WPML) you point them all to the same install (same domain) of WordPress. There is no difference when using WPML.
Then you need to define them which language goes where, according to the manual that I sent you previously, but this guide is better for Multisite: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/languages-in-domains-for-wordpress-multisite-mode/
