Thankyou.
So pay as you go is cheaper and I only get charged what I use?
So if in month 1 I do say 6 languages and that’s all I ever pay for those languages to be translated? Then I can cancel the pay as you go and everything will still be translated ok forever?
Yes, as soon as you translate something, these translations will be saved in your WordPress and you won’t lose them even if you cancel your Pay-as-you-go feature. But please note that if cancel Pay-as-you-go and if you in the future add new content, you won’t have credits to translate this new content. But then you can activate Pay-as-you-go again.
Hi I am trying to purchase a CMS license but getting stuck after the credit card section. It’s forcing me to login to PayPal, but my paypal credentials are not working.
You can use the alternative payment processor link at the bottom of the checkout page to use your credit card. If you still have issues please send us details to hello@wpml.org
Bonjour,
Je voudrais acheter WPML CMS multilingue mais il me reste un point abstrait, j’ai lu dans la table comparative (3 production

Bonjour,

We are working on a multi-language website where the main English website will be translated in 14 languages. There will be a total of 500+ pages translated in 14 languages and will have 350,000 words across all pages that will need to be translated in 14 languages – approx 5 million words total for all languages. I see that we get 90,000 free credits with Multilingual CMS. How do we get additional credits and what would be the cost on top of $99? Is there a bulk credit pricing? What would be best given this scenario?
Thank you. I am assuming, credits will be one time payment and not recurring once translated?
What about modifications to pages already translated?
Also, here are the languages we are looking to translate content into. What do you suggest to be used? Google or DeepL?
Vietnamese
Korean
Japanese
Portuguese
Dutch
Thai
German
Chinese (Simplified) (Mandarin)
Chinese (Traditional) (Mandarin)
French
Turkish
Hindi
Russian
Spanish
Yes, translations are saved in your database and once a page is translated, no credits are used unless you decide to update something on that page. In this case, we will charge you only for credits used in the sentences that have changed.
DeepL provides better quality than Google but is more expensive. Use the calculator again to compare the prices for both. https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
I wanted to reach out regarding a question, is it possible to have with the WMPL plugin the option for a generic en, without a country base.
According to Google, if I offer my website in different languages per country (e.g. en-ca, en-us), I should also always have a generic option for the countries that speak the same language but are not from the locations I am referencing (e.g. only en). Is this possible with your plugin?
Thank you in advance and looking forward to your reply!
Hello,
you can configure Engish languages using custom settings as explained here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
but we don’t provide any specific option that would allow you to have a generic option for the countries that speak the same language but are not from the locations you are referencing.

Hello Ambuj,
Yes, you can create different layouts per language disabling our Advanced Translation Editor. However, keep in mind that WPML does not detect IP’s and it will be based on the language selected.

On March 03, 2022, you mistakenly charged 2 times from my credit card with the same amount of 2.98 USD. That is 5.96 USD in total. The reason you charged was related to “Automatic translation” which I didn’t use. And you confirmed that was a mistake and will soon give me a refund within 1-2 days.
Until now, I didn’t receive any refund yet. So may I ask when you will do it.
Today, we accidentally charged you $2.98 + VAT in relation to the automatic translation account you have with WPML. This charge shouldn’t have happened and was caused by a bug.
We apologize for the inconvenience and the confusion it might have caused.
We are fixing this issue and will shortly refund you for this amount. You should see it on your credit card account today or tomorrow.
As a token of apology, we will add 10,000 free credits to your account today.
You can be assured this will not happen again in the future. The way monthly automatic translation pricing works is that your first 2,000 credits are completely free with no hidden fees.
Thank you for understanding,

Therefore, I just want to follow up with this case to ensure everything will be solved properly.
I used to send a few replies based on that email address, but I didn’t receive any further response. That’s why I have to resend the request here.
I am currently working with Weglot. I like the company, and they offered pretty good customer service. However, I feel like I have reached some limitations that your product might help to solve. I have a website that I am using Weglot on and I ran into some problems with metadata and tags that weren’t translating properly into Japanese. I bought a lifetime deal with Squirrly SEO, and they couldn’t get it to work in Japanese. All the tags were written in English. I also recently ran into a issue with my Blog bumping up against their 10,000-word limit (Starter Plan) and I decided I wanted to avoid having the Blog being translated. My son is fluent in Japanese, so he helped me fix the Japanese after we ran it through DeepL. So we had to make a rule for the four posts that I had made, (their tech support helped with this after many back and forth emails). So, it would avoid translating it and going against my 10,000-word limit.
I want to know if my site will work with WPML. I originally built this site in English and then had Weglot do the initial translation. My son and other native Japanese speakers helped me fix the wrong Japanese. I don’t want to have to redo everything we have done. That is one of the reasons I am a little hesitant about switching over. I want to know how hard it would be to do that and could my son and I do it together without taking months to do. Of course, I still have to teach in my other business, so I can’t dedicate a ton of time. But, your product sounds like it might be a good fit. Can you tell me more and how it works with the transistion? Luckily, my renewal is April 29, 2022. But, I would like to get this done a week or two prior to renewal. Can you tell me the steps and directions on how to do this? Simple, please. I am not the most tech-savvy when it comes to this kind of thing. The site in English is https://www.myjseonline.com. Also, I might be interested in SEO and a re-write of my page to attract more Japanese people to my website. I haven’t had much luck. I need an SEO professional to help me but won’t cost me an arm and a leg and want to be paid indefinitely. I look foward to your reply.
Hello James,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
Let me start with some facts first:
1. You cannot use both WPML and Weglot.
2. As far as I know, if you cancel your Weglot subscription you will lose your Weglot translations because these are stored outside your site (to be confirmed with Weglot folks)
3. There is no Weglot > WPML converter, which means there is no way to keep your existing translation when switching to WPML
4. WPML allows you to use Google Translate or DeepL translation engines
5. WPML saves automatic translations in your WordPress database, which means you can keep them even if you don’t renew your WPML subscription
6. WPML works with the popular SEO plugins
The best way to see how your site works with WPML would be to do the following:
1. Create a copy of your website (your hosting provider can help you)
2. Disconnect it from Weglot, disable Weglot
2. Buy the WPML plugin (the CMS package would be a good fit if you need to control SEO)
3. Install WPML on your site
4. Don’t turn on the “Translate everything” mode for now
5. Translate a few pages along with the SEO data to see how WPML works
You can use automatic translations for individual pages or you can select multiple pages and “send” them to automatic translation
If you are satisfied with the results, you can think about using WPML on your production site and turning on the “Translate everything” feature if needed.
If you are not happy, you can request a refund (you will have 30 days after purchasing WPML to do so).
I see the pricing plans for the WPML… Based on your previous reply, as I am using a WP multisite, I need to buy a package only for one of my sites… right?
I am a bit confused with the plans, lets say I want to buy multilingual CMS plan for $99… Do I need to pay extra for automatic translation? What does the credit mean here? My site has around 12000 words, so how will it work?
Lets say I buy WPML for 1 year, and I do not want to pay for next year, as I dont have any new content to be translated, how would that work? I saw some info that I will not need to pay if I dont want, and WPML will still function with the old content and keeps those translations there, so is it a valid information?
Hello,
1. Yes, WordPress Multisite counts as one site.
2. Yes, you need to pay extra for the automatic translation provided you’ve run out of the free credits we give you when buying WPML (90 000) and if you’ve sign up for Pay-as-you-go credits, you used more than 2000 credits per month.
This calculator will help you estimate how many credits you need: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
For example, if your site uses 12000 words and you want to use Google translations and you want to translate your site to one foreign language, you will pay $15.40 USD. If you want to translate the same site to 2 languages you will pay $29.80 USD
3. Yes, your translations are kept even if you don’t renew your WPML account. Renewals are needed for getting access to new versions of WPML plugin and getting help on our support forum.
Just to add to the previous content mentioned: what does 3 production, 9 development mean in the CMS plan? Can I translate the site into as many languages as I want?

can I just buy the CMS version for 1 website or do I need to get the agency version.
second, can I select what to translate like the menu to translate too, does it support?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions.
1. You can register extra development sites (up to 9) within the CMS package too (3 production + 9 development ones).
2. Yes, WPML allows you to translate the menu too. By default, all the translated pages will appear in the translated menu (the equivalents of the menu pages from your primary language) but if needed, you can also manually select what to display in your menu for each language. It’f fully configurable.
I have bought one of your products on 14th of march but can´t access to my customer account. I have written you three times but no answer until now. Can you please contact me.
Hello,
I cannot find a user with your email in our system which makes me think you made a typo in your email. We can update your email but first, we need to find your user in our system. Do you know what was the email address you used? If you don’t know, do you have your order (invoice) number? Otherwise, I won’t be able to find your users in our system. Thank you
I bought your plugin two days ago but I can´t download it because I type in a wrong email for my account. The payment is done. I wrote you several times now but now answer. Can you please contact me!
Hello Benedict.
I have just replied to your previous comment explaining that we need the email you used to purchase WPML or your order/invoice number. Once I have any of these I will be able to locate your user in our system and update the email. Please also let me know what is the correct email. The one you posted this comment with?
You forgot to answer these questions:
what does 3 production, 9 development mean in the CMS plan? Can I translate the site into as many languages as I want?
“3 production and 9 development sites” means that you can use WPML on 3 production sites and in addition, on 9 development sites. The difference between a development site and a production site is that for development sites you will get a special banner on the backend telling you that it is a development site.
Yes, you can translate your sites to as many languages as you want but if you plan to use automatic translations please take the following into account:
1. Here’s the list of languages: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
2. Translation credits care not entirely free: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
the .com E-Mail is the correct one. Can you please send me an email where I can answer to. Then I can send you a paypal screenshot. Invoice number is WPML-10785955.
Thankyou.

Hello,
this calculator will help you estimate how much you would pay:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
350 000 words translated to 14 languages using the Google Translate API would cost $2,297.00 if you use the “Pay as you go” credits. This is the cheapest option.
Thank you. I am assuming, credits will be one time payment and not recurring once translated?

Hey there,
Yes, you can set your order preference and use Google for those languages which are not supported by DeepL yet.

Hello,
We started using WPML, and our default site lang is LT-Lithuanian. Now created a second language – EN.
And we want to import product translations to our 20K products.
Is it necessary to have parent import as “New Items” who have “Unique Identifier”, because the WPML addon needs to select Unieuq Identifier to “match” parent import? (image below)
URL: https://puu.sh/IOu75/921cddd1b2.png
The problem is that our “parent” import is created as “Existing Items”, so no “unique identifier” can be found in the settings.
And when testing, the translations aren’t importing on already existing products.
So is it possible somehow to import translations to the existing products if the parent import is not “New Items” ?
Or a different example, we have API connections with other dropshippers, like Bigbuy, they sync products through API, so they don’t have import files.
How to translate?
I hope I explained clarified this!
and thanks!

thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions.
Hi WPML Team,
I have bought one of your products on 14th of march but can´t access to my customer account. I have written you three times but no answer until now. Can you please contact me.
Thanks, Ben
Hello,
I cannot find a user with your email in our system which makes me think you made a typo in your email. We can update your email but first, we need to find your user in our system. Do you know what was the email address you used? If you don’t know, do you have your order (invoice) number? Otherwise, I won’t be able to find your users in our system. Thank you
Hi WPML Team,
I bought your plugin two days ago but I can´t download it because I type in a wrong email for my account. The payment is done. I wrote you several times now but now answer. Can you please contact me!
Regards
Ben
Hello Benedict.
I have just replied to your previous comment explaining that we need the email you used to purchase WPML or your order/invoice number. Once I have any of these I will be able to locate your user in our system and update the email. Please also let me know what is the correct email. The one you posted this comment with?
Hi.
Hi Agnes,
the .com E-Mail is the correct one. Can you please send me an email where I can answer to. Then I can send you a paypal screenshot. Invoice number is WPML-10785955.

Ben
