Hello Mercedes,
I have a valid EU VAT number. I double checked it on https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/#/vat-validation
I tried entering the number with and without the country identifier (DE), there is a green check mark in the line, but it’s still 99€. Please resolve this issue, otherwise I cant purchase your product.
Its resolved, there is not VAT already! Maybe display it with VAT 0€, otherwise one has to wonder whats going on.
I had to check in incognito, as its still 99€ on the /purchase page and then in /checkout 19% is displayed…
Hello,
We are currently investigating which multilingual plugin we should use to expand to several markets. We use Avada which is quite a heavy theme + integrations with a membership plugin (Ultimate Member) + bbpress forum. We have a good hosting provider who are experts in managed WordPress hosting.
Today we use the plugin “Google Language Translator” which let our visitors translate the website immediately/real time which is great because we have a lot of dynamic content (for example: our user posts topics and replies in the forums) and users are able to communicate with each other using their own language without us having to translate every reply. Apparently, translating the website automatically in real time does not work well with SEO (we can not get indexed on Google Search in other languages) and the translations are not 100 % correct.
Therefore, we been looking at solutions such as WPML (which we heard is very resource heavy and can run slow but fully customizable) and Translatepress which seems easier but might lead to problems later (translation of the membership area, transactional emails etc.).
Our questions is:
How can we keep the functionality with users being able to use real time translation to communicate with each other but also take a more serious step to make translations more accurate and grow our SEO?
Hello Matthew,
thank you for your interest in WPML and providing the detailed description of your goals and constrains. The Translate Everything Automatically mode could be a good solution to your needs. When WPML is used in this mode, everything gets translated instantly as soon as updates are made to the original content (the only exception is the first run, WPML needs to translate your entire site on the backend which can take a while for a complex site). You can still make manual edits to your translations and this is how you could improve SEO. The problem is, the Ultimate Member plugin doesn’t seem to be compatible with WPML. Only plugins that are fully compatible with WPML (please check this list: https://wpml.org/plugin/) can be translated automatically and this is my biggest concern for your case.
Hello Agnes,
Thank you for your reply. Apparently, I think you misunderstood my concern regarding the automatic translation. My users are visitors on the website (no backend/admin access). They sign up on the website and are able to post in a forum (like this comment section) in their own language. Other users who speaks another language can then use the “Google Translate Button” to translate the conversation immediately and reply in their own language back and forth.
Hello Mattew,
so your goal is to translate your content instantly with your current tool (Google Language Translator) but have the ability to edit the translations the tool provides using WPML? If so, no, such a mix is not possible. If your golas is to have the content translated instantly (including content updates) and without a human “intervention”, this is possible with WPML only if you use WPML in the “Translate Everything Automatically” mode (as in the video 2:00). Then such translations can be manually edited if needed. But this will work only for plugins that are 100% compatible with WPML which is not the case for the “Ultimate Member plugin”. You would need t translates posts of this plugin manually.
Thank you for the reply! I did not mean that my website as a whole would be blocked in China. Google Translate does not work in China, so users from China would not see a working Chinese translation on the site.
WPML doesn’t support Google Translate as the translation engine, please check this page: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
So you won’t have these problems. Your site will use either the DeepL (for Simplified Chinese) or the Micorsoft’s translation engine.
hi, I am trying to buy the wpml plugin. When i try to make payment via paypal using card it is failing. I have got an email stating there is other source of payment via direct credit card. But the image shared had a text but when im on the website i could not see that option. Please assist me in making the payment and using the plugin.
Hello,
there should be the “Use a different payment method” link below the Place Order (orange) button. Users from India don’t have this option available I’m afraid so if you are from India, you won’t see this option and PayPal is your only choice.
Hello Mohamed,
we don’t have any discounts but you can buy the Multilingual CMS for now, and you can upgrade to the Agency plan later (for example 8 months later) by paying the difference between these two packages.
Hello, yes, it is. Go to Languages > Menu language switcher > click on the language switcher and uncheck the flag. You can do the same for the language switcher of your footer in the Footer language switcher section.
I tried first one of your competitors, translatepress.com, because many reviews said this plugin is light, very easy to implement, and with a front-end interface.
However, I decided not to confirm my trial because I met unsolved issues with the translation on the mobile pages. The second reason is that their customer support service is quite slow.
So, I contacted Divi, the theme I’m using, to get their advice and they told me that WPML would better fit with them.
My questions are before switching to WPML:
– Is, deactivating and deleting the translatepress plugins, enough to do?
– Should I restore an older database before I installed the translatepress plugins? I would prefer not, if not mandatory.
– How reactive is your support customer service?
– Would WPML plugin slow down a lot my website performance? I read that WPML use a rather old technology.
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
Yes, deactivating and deleting the TranslatePress plugins, should suffice. WPML uses its own tables anyway and it shouldn’t conflict with TranslatePress leftovers.
We provide support 5-6 days a week and we have supporters covering different time zones. If a supporter is available, you will get the live chat option, otherwise you should get the reply within the same day or the next (working) day. There might be some exceptions when the support team is loaded or there are some holidays (Christmas etc). Then you need to wait a big longer. For new clients we also offer 30-minute coaching sessions via Zoom. There used to be some performance issues in the past, no longer the case. If you see any performance issues, you should open a support ticket and our experts will check what exactly causes this on your site.

I am looking to purchase WPML for my customized developed WordPress Website using ACF. I need my blog posts to be manually translated to different languages.
I have checked the plans here (https://wpml.org/purchase/), but I am not sure if “Multilingual Blog” will work for me or not.
Can you pl. help me pick the right plan for my requirement.
Before purchasing the WPML plugin to make my website multilingual, I’d like to know a few things:
– Where do the translations sit? In your cloud? Do I own those translations?
— What happens to my translations if I deactivate/uninstall the plugin?
– How is the wp database affected by use of your plugin?
— Is the database going to be exactly as before after uninstallation? That is, would I need to manually clean my database if/when I uninstall the plugin?
– Can I get a free trial of the plugin?
Hello,
1. The translations are stored both in your WordPress database but also in our cloud (to benefit from the so-called translation memory). You won’t lose your translations even if your WPML subscription expires. This applies to the automatic translations and translations entered through the so-called Advanced Translation Editor, which you can disable at any time and use WPML with the WordPress editor if that’s the preferred way for you.
2. If you deactivate the WPML plugin, the translations will stay – translated posts (and pages) are regular WordPress posts with content in another language. You will see a mix of all posts (pages) from all the language in the list of your posts (pages). You can also delete all of the translated posts if this is what you want. https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-completely-remove-a-language-from-your-site/
3. Whenever a new post/page is translated, a new post/page in another language is added to your WordPress database table (because it’s just a regular post) but also to the WPML database tables. Here are the WPML’s tables. To clean you database you need to follow this procedure: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/
4. No, you cannot but you can buy WPML and use it for 30 days keeping our refund policy in mind: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
Hi team,
I’m thinking about merging my two IT blogs. At the moment, each language has its own domain (I want to keep it that way) and its own WordPress installation. I am a member of VG-wort (German Copyright Association) and each article (translated articles count as a separate article) is labelled with a counter. My current plugin uses this for the post ID. Are translated articles your own articles or do you add additional fields for the translation to the articles?
Hello,
even if you translate automatically, you still own the translations. When WPML translates posts and pages it still creates WordPress posts and pages but wth content in another language. Even if you uninstall/remove WPML you can keep the translated posts. No, WPML doesn’t add any additional fields for content of your translation.
I’m currently creating a new site and am interested in purchasing WPML and WPML WooCommerce multilingal.
My question: can I run my site in four languages only and Woocommerce on the same site in more than four languages?
Hello,
there is only one set of languages to be used both by regular posts/pages and for WooCommerce products. However, you don’t need to translate all of your pages/post types to all of these languages. In the language switcher WPML will display only the languages for the pages that have been translated. So the solution for you would be to add all of the languages but not to translate posts/pages for some of them.
Hi, Patrick. Thanks for your interest in using WPML.
You must add all the languages you want to use on your site, regardless of whether you need them for your regular pages and posts or WooCommerce. This is done in WPML -> Languages or is already in the setup process. You can read about it in our getting started guide. But you will have the ability to choose which content to translate. So, if you need to translate the pages and posts of your only into four languages, you can do so. Then, if you want to translate WooCommerce’s pages, taxonomies, and products into more than four languages, you can do that. However, it is essential to know that for things to work correctly, you will need to translate the homepage of your site into all your site’s languages.
Hello, unregistering and registering the website doesn’t affect your translations at all. Feel free to buy WPML with your own email address. To register WPML please do the following steps:
1. On your WordPress site go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab
2. If your website is registered please click “Unregister WPML from this site Check for updates”. If it’s not register go to step 3.
3. On this (Add Plugins) screen please click: Register WPML
4. You will be redirected to your wpml.org account (please log in) and a new key will be generated for you
5. Grab the key and paste it into your WordPress site.
Hello, you can use your card. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it. We don’t accept the wire transfers.

You will receive the same translation using WPML.

I have a problem on my website which is built with Divi Builder.

We use the Elementor and do not want the pages to be automatically translated, we just want to make use of the ability to recreate the navigation in another language and the routing. Will the basic plan be sufficient for this? Do you have a demo license that we can test with?
Hello, if you would like to translate your Elementor site manually, please follow this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/elementor/translate-elementor-site-wpml-multilingual-blog/ In this case, yes, you can buy the Blog package.
