No, it doesn’t switch automatically. But we have e redirection based on the browser feature.
WPML supports manual translations too – it creates empty posts/pages in relevant languages and cross-connects them but you need to paste translations ourself.

Is this a one off or yearly charge? Are there any other charges? I saw something about google translate credit charges? I don’t understand this, and will this be in addition to the 99 euros?

99 euros is what you pay for the WPML plugins and technical support. To translate automatically you need to use translation credits. You will get 90 000 credits in the package that will allow you to translate 45 000 words. You say, your site has about 29 000 words and you want to translate it to 5 languages. In that case, the free credits you will get will not suffice and you will need to pay for extra credits. To buy the extra credits you have two options and both are explained here.
If you put 29 000 into the calculator and set it to 5 languages it will say that you need to pay €138.00 EUR. If you want to pay less, you can change the default translation engine to Miscrosoft/Azure and in this case, the calculator will show €79.50 EUR

When you register the site, yes, the site key (license key) is connected to a specific domain. But this is not a problem because you can first register your site with a test domain and then generate a separate key for your production domain. No problem at all. WPML allows you to maintain both sites (production and development) or you can remove the development site after migrating it to production. If you buy the Multilingual CMS package you will be able to register 3 production sites and 9 development/testing sites.

138 euros – it’s a one time fee. You might need to buy extra credits only if you add new content to translation or you change something in your existing content. Either case, you pay only for the credits used. Say you have 5 paragraphs that you translated. If you change only one of them in the future, you will need new credits only for that one paragraph that you changed. No, you don’t need to purchase any google credits.

when you say “WPML Multidomain” do you mean using different domains for languages? Please check the documentation I linked to see how to set it up. The only limitation I’m aware of is that you cannot mix domains and subfolders.
For example, the following setup will not work:
mysite.com (English)
mysite.com/es (Spanish)
mysite.com/de (German)
mysite.fr (French)
because you use both folders for languages (Spanish and German) and domains (French).

The link doesn’t seem to work as expected – I couldn’t see any WP panel when I click on it. I can reassure you that changing the WPML licence key (site key) won’t affect your translation. The licence key and the translations are two separate things. I checked your site (the one you provided when posting your comment) and it’s registered in our system by a user who purchased the Agency subscription. If you purchase the Multilingual CMS subscription or the Agency subscription – both will work for your site even if you generate a new licence key. We call license key “site keys”.

There is no option to disable product purchase from a specific country but here’s what you could consider: don’t translate a group of products to a specific languages. WPML allows you to add products in language X without translating them to other languages. Moreover, you can add products to your non-primary language and leave without translation. So you could do the following:
Provided the following setup:
Turkish – your site’s primary language)
English – secondary language
You can add (or use your existing products) 60 000 products in Turkish and you don’t translate them into English at all.
Yes, you can set Turkish Lira currency for these items.
Now, you switch your language on your WordPress admin (using the language switcher WPML will add to your admin bar) to English and you add 10 000 products in English (with the US currency). You don’t translate these products into Turkish.
When setting up WPML, please don’t use “Translate Everything Automatically” mode. Use “Let me choose what to translate”.

you cannot connect your Google Translate API key. WPML connects to Google translation via its own API and on top of that does some extra pre- and post- processing of these translations. You will get 90 000 credits when purchasing the Multilingual CMS package that will allow you to translate 45 000 words with Google. Please note that DeepL is the default translation engine set up in WPML and if you would like to switch to Google, you need to go to WPML > Settings and select Google. DeepL however is considered better than Google Translate. If you need to translate more than 45 000 words, you will need to buy additional credits. we no longer provide the Lifetime option. Users who purchase the Lifetime package in the past can still use it but we don’t have such an option for new users. If you plan to use WPML on more than 3 websites you can consider the Agency package. Renewals are optional and your site will with WPML work even if you cancel your subscription. You will lose access to our support assistance and new versions. Of course we cannot anticipate what will happen if you update your WordPress version and won’t update WPML plugins.

you can switch from PayPal and payment card (or vice versa) at any time from within your WPML account. You can also upgrade from the Blog package to CMS and from CMS to Agency packages. What you cannot in a straightforward way is a downgrade (e.g. from Agency to CMS) but even this is possible if you would be interested.
Can I change my subscription account? For example if I sell my website (together with WPML) to a third party so we need to change to their account and they need to pay the subscription from then on

Or you can cancel your subscription and ask the client to purchase a new one with their email address and then unregister the site and register it again with their own key. Canceling the subscription doesn’t removed the plugins and you can keep the translations as well.

Hi, I need a technical support but I don’t have the credentials to login to my WPML account since I’m working on behalf of a client and I don’t have access to this information. I’m facing some problems translating some parts of my side cart created with Xootix plugin. I’ve already contacted their support and they told me everything was fine on their side and it may be caused by the lack of cookie translation on WPML side. Now I’m using a different plugin and I’d just like to confirm that there was effectively a technical issue on either your or Xootix side in order to proceed with the refund of the Premium side cart I bought. I know wordpress is now pushing Block Editor as means to edit posts. However, I have Beaver Builder and the Classic Editor plugin. Will WPML continue to work with Classic editor? I feel classic editor wont be supported one day but hence i stopped auto updates for it, but will keep WPML on auto update. I hope WPML will continue to be compatible with old versions of Classic Editor even in the near future.

If you plan to use WPML on more than 3 websites you can consider the Agency package. Renewals are optional and your site will with WPML work even if you cancel your subscription. You will lose access to our support assistance and new versions. Of course we cannot anticipate what will happen if you update your WordPress version and won’t update WPML plugins.
Can I change the payment method and payment account, login account in the future?

you can switch from PayPal and payment card (or vice versa) at any time from within your WPML account. You can also upgrade from the Blog package to CMS and from CMS to Agency packages. What you cannot in a straightforward way is a downgrade (e.g. from Agency to CMS) but even this is possible if you would be interested.
Can I change my subscription account? For example if I sell my website (together with WPML) to a third party so we need to change to their account and they need to pay the subscription from then on
You can transfer the renewals as explained here: https://wpml.org/purchase/transferring-account-renewals-to-your-clients/
Or you can cancel your subscription and ask the client to purchase a new one with their email address and then unregister the site and register it again with their own key. Canceling the subscription doesn’t removed the plugins and you can keep the translations as well.

Hi, I need a technical support but I don’t have the credentials to login to my WPML account since I’m working on behalf of a client and I don’t have access to this information. I’m facing some problems translating some parts of my side cart created with Xootix plugin. I’ve already contacted their support and they told me everything was fine on their side and it may be caused by the lack of cookie translation on WPML side. Now I’m using a different plugin and I’d just like to confirm that there was effectively a technical issue on either your or Xootix side in order to proceed with the refund of the Premium side cart I bought. I know wordpress is now pushing Block Editor as means to edit posts. However, I have Beaver Builder and the Classic Editor plugin. Will WPML continue to work with Classic editor? I feel classic editor wont be supported one day but hence i stopped auto updates for it, but will keep WPML on auto update. I hope WPML will continue to be compatible with old versions of Classic Editor even in the near future.

the Classic Editor plugin has 10+ million active installations and I don’t think it will be discontinued. Yes, WPML will continue working with the Classic editor. We have many clients using the classic editor and we plan to continue the support for that editor.
