  1. IF i subscribe to the lifetime license, and use it to build client websites, how will the token’s for AI translation work?
I am not interested in having to pay for their translations.
Can i make a sub-account for the end-client, or how does this work exactly?

  2. Hello. I have a Woocommerce site. I want to set separate prices for all products in USD, TRY, and EUR currencies. However, I want to set them manually without using a currency converter.
My website is closed to unapproved members, so I want to allow members to choose which price type they will see before approval. How much of this can I do with this plugin?”

    • Hello,
It’s possible to set custom prices in different currencies by the admins of the sites (not possible by other roles). We mention this feature in our documentation but we don’t provide the exact steps on how to do so.
If you need details, you can check the free version from the wordpress.org and use the forum there to ask follow-up questions: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/
You will need the paid version of WPML only if you need to translate your products. For multi currency, the free version should suffice.

  3. I’m using Polylang for an e-commerce site, but I’m running into trouble with Google ads feeds and a product aggregator. Would the migration plugin migrate everything (including all the translations for products and so on in woocommerce) from Polylang to WPML? Which license would I need? Thanks,

    • Hello,
we provide the Polylang to WPML plugin but with limited features
      https://wpml.org/documentation/migrate-polylang-wpml/
You cannot edit the translations of the products that you will migrate. The translations of these products will appear on the front-end but if you decide to make any edits to those products you will need to translate from scratch again (or use WPML automatic translation), which will override your existing translation.

  4. Yeah i meant the agency license, as i obviously know that you don’t offer the lifetime license anymore, based on my last comment that you deleted, where i +1’d the guy who asked about the lifetime license. So basically, what you are saying is, that there is no real reason to buy the agency license if the end customer ends up having to pay a subscription anyway..

    • The agency license allows you to register the unlimited number of sites. So it’s a good deal for people who create many websites for users (more than 3). If you don’t plan to use translation credits yourself and ask our clients to sign up for “Pay as you go” and you don’t think about credit renewals after the year (more about it here), there are still benefits of keeping the subscription (and renewing the subscription), which are: access to updates and our support forum. Please read more about renewal benefits: https://wpml.org/purchase/wpml-renewal/

  5. Hello WPML, there was a weird glitch. I tried renewing my plan just now. Website says payment failed but my bank says the payment went through. Can you please check for me?

    • I have reviewed your order history, and both of your orders have been canceled, which is reflected in our system. If you were charged, please contact us by sending a screenshot(s) of the transaction from your bank to hello@wpml.org. We will review it and issue a refund for your orders if necessary.

      Thank you.

  6. Hi
I do not succeed to renew my subscription in time with the coupon down price.
I need to renew for one year but i can’t with the actual 99€ price because my client will not understant. Please can you send me back the coupon to match with previous invoices.
    Waiting for you answer
    Regards

  7. Hello,
I received a WPML renew discount. I was waiting for my boss confirmation on the price and after I received it I could no longer renew my account. Could you please verify it and help we with that one?

    I received a mail:
If you don’t renew within 7 days, you’ll have to buy WPML at full price to get support or update the WPML plugins on your registered sites.

I tried to do it yesterday so on the 7th day but it didn’t work. Can you please help me with that?

    Best regards,

  8. It seems to me that it is only a good deal if you are not planning on using Translation Tokens / AI translation, because then you can subscribe and have your clients use your account. However, if i subscribe to unlimited sites, but each client uses the automatic translation, then they would have to get the account transferred anyway meaning they don’t use up 1 of my licenses. Do you see what i am trying to say?

    • Please select the plan that best suits your needs. If you wish to downgrade from an Agency to a CMS account, you must first cancel your Agency subscription and then sign up again, as automatic downgrades are not supported. Your clients can continue using automatic translation (Pay-as-you-go) independently, even if you cancel your WPML subscription.

  9. Hi! What would be the best url structure for translated page? Meant to be used for local search where 2 languages are used, same city. I initially set up domain/?lang=es for a test, but I believe the domain/es will have more seo benefits, how can I cange it in the wp settings?

    • Hello,
yes, using directories for languages is the best option and the most popular, it’s also good for SEO. To change your language structure on your site please go to WPML > Languages and select Different languages in directories in the Language URL format section. Please use our technical support forum for further questions like this. In here we reply to pre-sales questions. Thank you.

  10. Hello forum, I’m new to the WPML plugin. I run a website that uses Dokan and Elementor on the front end. I tried Weglot for translations for about three months, but it turned out to be pretty expensive and, let’s just say, its translations sometimes didn’t quite hit the mark. I heard there’s a pay-as-you-go option with WPML, and I’m thinking about translating roughly 30k words on my website. My question is: do I need to purchase a specific package (like Pro or Premium) to get the plugin working properly with that plan, or can I stick with the basic version and add the pay-as-you-go option later? I know it might sound a bit odd, but I’m a little confused—so if any dev or admin could clear this up for me, I’d be more than happy!

    Cheers!

  11. Hi

  12. Hello Agnes!

Please help me to change a payment card to pay our credits, I can’t open a new ticket as we did a refund and I can’t change myself payment info as I deleted WPML on our site.
    Thanks!

  13. Hello,

I want to set up a multilanguage shop with a search function. Everything is in dutch but I would like to have an english version.
When searching for bucket, i want to display results (buckets). But we place the items as “Emmer” which is the name for Bucket in dutch.

So ?bucket should also return results. Is this possible?
    Kind regards,
    Mike

    • Hello,
basically as soon as you translate the posts that are appearing in the search results, the search will work in other languages too, meaning it will return the translated versions of your posts when used for other language versions. For example, this will work fine for the WordPress built-in search for the regular posts. I’m not sure what your buckets are. Do you use a special plugin for this? If so, can I have its name please? We would need to check if this plugin is compatible with WPML.

  14. Are the 90,000 Automatic Translation credits provided on the Multilingual CMS per language? If we have 4-5 languages is the Multilingual CMS the correct one to buy?

  15. please confirm that the 2 credits per word for WPML are only charged one time for the language specified and not each time the page is loaded. AKA, the translation is stored on the site and delivered to each visitor. Thank you

  16. Billing Question;

Do credit get charged based on the total unique words within a page/ site or do you charge credits on the total word count?

Basically, do you charge to translate the same word multiple times?

  17. Buongiorno, come faccio a sapere prima quante parole ha il mio sito per capire quale pacchetto acquistare? Grazie

  18. I’m managing a client’s website who has WPML – I think the free version.

When an article is not yet translated to spanish (“FLAG Español” in top red nav bar on left), it will not appear on the blog page. Only translated articles appear on the blog page.

    How can I either:
    1. Allow non-translated articles to appear on the blog page?
    2. Automatically translate articles using Google translate (or similar, cheap/free service) so they do appear on the blog page?

  19. Does your plugin slow down the cms or is there no noticeable difference?
Also another question; does it translate the search suggestions and transactional emails?

    Thank you

    • Hello,
Installing WPML may slow down your site slightly because all the translations added by WPML are stored in your database. The advantage of this is that you own the translations and can keep the translated content even if you cancel your annual subscription renewals.
To answer the second part of your question: Do you use a plugin to handle search and emails? If so, please share the name of the plugin(s). WPML can translate WooCommerce emails, but if you are using a different plugin, please provide its name (and a link to its plugin page, if possible), and we will check its compatibility with WPML.

  20. Hi there,
the website for the NGO i am volunteer at needs to be translated to arabic among other languages.
I am trying to compare multiple WP translation plugins that offer RTL support for a suitable price.

    My concerns are the following:
i want a way to fix layout and design issues that arise after translating from LTR to RTL.
At best creating an auto-translated copy of the pages for the arabic language so that i can make design/layout adjustments, with the option to sync new layout/design/content changes from the main lagnuage (english) to the copies pages in arabic.
I wouldn’t want to craete a copy for every language i create (e.g. german wouldn’t need any layout/design adjustments).

We Would also like to have the option to be able to manually adjust the translation for the arabic copy.

    Kind regards
    Hossam

    • Hello,
If your theme is RTL-ready, you should have no problem translating your site into RTL languages using WPML. The same applies to the plugins you use.
If you need different layouts per language, this is also possible, but it is a separate topic and not related to handling RTL. This tutorial explains how to disable WPML’s default editor, translate your pages manually, and provide different content for each translation. https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
Please note that following these steps will turn off automatic translation for those pages.
If you translate automatically using WPML you can always make edits to automatic translation.

    • Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML. No, there is no way to make a one-time payment without renewals and still receive updates. You can purchase WPML and cancel your renewals, but in that case, you will only receive updates until the end of the first year for which you have paid.

  21. Hi Agnes,

I have one question regarding the Translation Tool: If we purchase the WPML plugin option you suggested (https://wpml.org/purchase/), does that mean our web developer will only need one key to enable the multilingual translations?
    Thank you.

    • The Multilingual CMS package allows you to register 3 production websites (generate 3 license keys) and in addition, 9 extra keys for your testing websites. If you need WPML only for one website, you can generate only one key.

  22. Hi,

I manage my client’s website, and I have a question regarding the WPML plugin (https://wpml.org/purchase/). If my client purchases this plugin, does it mean our web developer will only need one license key to enable multilingual translations on the site?

This is quite urgent, as my client has been following up with me daily since last week. I’ve posted this question here three times, but I haven’t received any reply, nor do I see it in moderation or removed.

    Thank you for your help!

  23. Hello,

Will WPML allow to translate woocommerce email templates? So when a customer in EN make and order he will receive an email in EN. If the customers order in the ES site will receive an ES email.

    Thanks
