  1. Hi,
    I’d like to translate a website into Luxembourgish.

    I tried with Polylang Pro and their Deepl integration but it seems not to be supported, probably because this language is in Beta in Deepl.

    Do you know if I’d be able to use automatic translation into this language by using WPML?

    • Hi,

      at the moment we’re not supporting Luxembourgish for automatic translation. I can open a request for it, but I can’t guarantee when it will be added.
      You can ask again in a while or you can check the supported languages here, we always keep the list updated.

    • Hi,

      If you don’t renew your account you’ll keep your existing translations and you can continue translating, but you’ll lose access to Support and updates, with the risk of breaking your site. You can see all the benefits here.

  3. I’m having troubles signing-in on my account with my email. I’m writing here as the support service needs the user to authenticate, but I’m having auth issues!!! When I try to login I receive this error message: “It looks like the h******x@*****.com does not have a usable password. It is possible that your account was reset. Please check support for more information”. I’ve tried password reset, but apparently no reset link is sent, I obviously had a look to the spam folder also. Please help!!!

    we have an account with you and we just renewed WPML for another year. However, something happened since our payment was not processed. We can’t ask a question or open a ticket regarding this anywhere since it says we didn’t purchase WPML. We received an invoice number 17650716 after the renewal.   7. We tried purchasing the plugin but it does not offer the option to buy with a credit card. Please note that in India because of recurring method enabled in your settings we can not purchase it because of RBI guidelines. We did send you an email 2 days back.

      we checked but we couldn’t find an email from this address. We know about the RBI restrictions, but you can use Paypal to purchase WPML. Recurring payments are not mandatory, you can disable them if needed.

    Unfortunately my Paypal account is linked with bank accounts which are all Indian Bank accounts so they follow RBI guidelines. Since I have not purchased before from WPML, how can I disable the option. We can not even sign up to WPML without purchasing the product.

    Please help a genuine buyer is not able to purchase the product.

    • Sorry, the question was not clear so I didn’t understand you aren’t a client yet.

      Both Russian and Belarusian are pre-configured in WPML. You can change default locale for Russian from ru_RU to ru_BY or even add a custom Russian-Belarusian language with language code ru-by if you wish.

  13. Hello, my client is launching a website for his newspapers, some of which are bilingual. He would like to have automatic translation of his articles, sometimes from French to English, sometimes vice versa, but with the translated version including a disclaimer stating “this is an automated translation.” Is this possible, and if so, how does it work in terms of costs?

      Translate Everything Automatically only translates content from your site’s default language to secondary languages. If you publish content in a secondary language, you can still translate it to other languages by manually sending it for translation from the Translation Dashboard…but it won’t happen “automatically”.

      This is not included as a configurable option but is something that should be able to be programmed using our API. Our WPML API includes many hooks and filters where you can do some extra actions before saving. This is something that can be taken up with our Support team at the time that you need it.

    • Hi,

      WPML doesn’t have an option to add disclaimer in translations, but if your site uses templates you can add a disclaimer in the template directly and make it appear conditionally. How to do this depends on how your site is built so I can’t give you the details, but it’s definitely something doable.

      As for costs, when you purchase WPML you get a certain number of credits (depending on the chosen account) but it’s possible you’d need more if you produce contents regularly. You can buy pre-paid credits package or use the Pay-As-You-Go model (cheaper). For details please check this page.

    • Hi Mohammed,

      I’m not sure what do you mean with “translate the ajax search” but generally yes, WPML display different results in different languages.

      probablement vous avez utilisé la connexion Google au moins une fois par le passé et, en raison de récents changements dans notre système de connexion, vous ne parvenez plus à vous connecter avec votre mot de passe.
      Vous pouvez continuer à utiliser la connexion via Google, ou bien, si vous souhaitez à nouveau utiliser votre adresse e-mail et votre mot de passe, vous devez d’abord dissocier votre compte WPML de Google.

    • Hi,

      from our records the email associated with your account is the one you used to write this question. If you can’t still log in, you likely used Google to access in the past (at least once). If that’s the case, you should continue using Google to log in or disconnect your wpml.org account from Google.

I just registered it through Google to try and submit a support ticket. The user javierG-26 is the one whose email address I don’t know.     Ajax search: is a live search, the visitors can search for products by name,
    and the search result will be returned via Ajax calls,you can test it on lacartuccia.shop “The search located @ the header”

    Example:
    If a visitor start to type a word like “pen” it should display all the products named “pen”,
    but the website content in “Portuguese” so when the visitor type “pen” it returns 0,
    instead he should type “caneta”.

    This problem was solved when using “gtranslate” but the problem the website was too much slow.

  20. Could you please let me know if the automatic translation via PTC offers the option for “formal address” where the target language supports this? For example, Spanish has tú versus usted for informal and formal address. AWS Translate provides an option to determine what the translation should use and I need to know if PTC offers something similar.

    Also, is there the option to set a custom dictionary to be used for specific terms in the translation?

    • Hi Karin,

      with PTC translations, we detect the formality from the context of the site, but it’s still possible to adjust it manually server side if you want a specific one.
      About the custom dictionary, we have the Glossary option that should do what you’re asking.
