Thank you! For some reason this did not work, but I will try again tomorrow.

I have another question. We are translating into the russian kanguage as well, but want to keep the url in eng (no cyrills), I tested several settings but none of them seem to work correctly. Can you help with that please?

Hi,

If you selected the option to translate the slug/url of the content from WPML > Languages > Page URL, the automatic translation will try to translate the URLs and you will see Cyrillic content for the Russain language.

But if you do not want that and you want to copy the content or make WPML do the best case, please select the Auto Generate or the copy option.

All the details are explained in the documentation below:

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-page-slugs/

Just be aware that you can always encode the Cyrillic slugs to be URL friendly.

Go to WPML → Languages.
Under Site Languages, click the Edit Languages link.
In the table, set the Encode URLs value to Yes in the language you want slugs to be copied to. Click Save.

Finally, if the translation is already done for a page, it will not possible to change it unless you go to the advanced translation editor by clicking the pencil icon next to the page and manually find the slug/url of the page and change it.

That is why if you already set the slug to be translated, do not change the option yet, go to the advanced translation editor one by one and change the links first and then you can change the option from WPML > Languages for the other pages that are not translated yet and it should work ok.

Thanks.
