Background of the issue:
Our site runs the latest version of WordPress 6.7.1 and the latest version of WPML. We also have a staging site. The site is translated automatically.

Symptoms:
We needed to translate strings from plugins and custom links in the main menu, but all the translated strings are shown in the default language in all languages.

Questions:
What can you help with?

Hi,

Thank you for following the steps mentioned by my colleague.

I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Also please tell us where to check the string in the Appearance > Menus and the front end of the website.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for the login information. I did the steps below to fix the issue:

1. Installed WPML String Translation 3.2.16

- I went to https://wpml.org/account/downloads/
- Click the Download WPML Manually link.
- Downloaded the WPML String Translation
- Uploaded and installed it in WordPress Dashboard > Plkugins > Add new.

2. Used the WP Sync Menu

- I went to WordPress Dashboard > WPML > WP Menu Sync.
- Clicked the sync button.
- Selected all the checkboxes and clicked the start button.

Hi,

Thanks for your help and support.

I dwonloaded WPML String Translation 3.2.16 and now the custom links are translated but not the text for cookies.

Cookie text is translated but still showed in default language.
So I am wondering why this can't help translating plugins, and mybe I can't translate new plugins in the future.

Thanks.
