We have a large number of product categories that has already been translated and where there are already products attached to. (We have 20 languages)
When we are automatically translating product categories, we do that together with the first product in the category, alternatively we set up a “dummy” product and use that for the translation of the category.
Now we need to add an image to those categories and update the description and SEO meta description (we are using Yoast SEO).
To translate the Image SEO and update the translation of the product category (description and SEO meta description) we have tried to make a “dummy” product and attached the product category and then auto translate the “dummy” product, but unfortunately the translation of the different texts on the product category is not being updated.
Do you have a method where we can update the translations of an already translated product category, by the automatic translation engine?

As for regular term meta fields, you can translate those when translating a post that has assigned taxonomy, image attached.
As for specific SEO text and meta you added, you will need to manually switch language and adjust it also, since it is expected you add Global SEO via TAGS from the SEO option and then translate this to other languages via WPML String translation.
