Thank you for contacting the support.

I see that this page can be accessed at hidden link (notice the page slug) just like its Deutsch version (hidden link). While, in language switcher the URL is pointing to what you mentioned and throws a 404 error.

Can you check this guide https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-page-slugs/ and see if it helps?

Also try disabling any redirection plugin, as well as, any redirection set in .htaccess (if any)?

Further, make sure there's nothing in trash using the same slug, if there's any delete it permanently and recheck.

Please let me know if this helps resolve the issue. Or I'll try my best to further assist you on the matter.

Sorry, can you explain about these URLs? Because the DE one is an English one and seems to be the correct counterpart of the actual DE page.

While the one (EN) which is 404 not found, doesn't seem to exist. Do you have its DE counterpart?

Secondly, did you read and check my previous message and can confirm if those aren't the cases?

You can also try the following, to further ensure if this is really coming from WPML?

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. It is highly advised to try the following on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

- Deactivate all plugins except WPML and its addons and check for the issue.
- Activate each plugin one-by-one, while keeping check on the issue after a plugin is activated. This way you'll be able to pinpoint a plugin having a conflict (or problem), if any. You can also check for plugin compatibility with WPML at https://wpml.org/plugin/.
- If the problem persists, repeat the above steps with a default theme of WordPress (i.e. 2021 or 2023).
- Also check the browser's console for any JavaScript errors. If you find any, copy that in your next reply. See https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/ for details on how to find these errors.

Please let me know and I'll try my best to further assist you on the matter.

Pardon me for not understanding the problem completely since you haven't confirmed any of my reply about the confusions around these links.

However, may I ask for admin access to your website to check the issue in detail? You can create a separate admin user for this purpose, which can be deleted afterwards.

Also provide following detail to investigate/observe the issue:

- detailed steps to reproduce the issue
- links to pages in admin and on frontend
- screenshots or screen recording if needed to explain
- any other relevant information to observe/investigate the issue

Remember to take full backup of your website and database before proceeding. However, a staging/test site is highly recommended, because I may need to try some changes/fixes on the site, which may cause conflicts with the live site otherwise. Please confirm it in your next reply or let me know if you do not agree with the mentioned.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I checked and analyzed the website. WPML and everything else seems just fine.

I also checked on the frontend and browsed different pages, all look good, I can see German and English translations showing fine on the frontend.

About this page hidden link, it has English translation too but is at hidden link. I switched to English from German version of the page using the language switcher at bottom.

Reason is that this English page is in draft and there's another page with same name without a German translation. See attached screenshot. So if you publish the one in the Draft, it should have the correct URL on frontend too, despite it is already accessible.

Also make sure to remove any duplicate slugged or titled pages to get rid of the confusion. As well as, make sure there's nothing in the trash of the same name or slug, remove from trash permanently.

Besides this, I see that most of the Portfolio and Pages either don't have a translation or need a translation update. A translation must be available and 100% completed to reflect the changes on the frontend. See attached screenshots.
