I have problems with saving my products and this is since I’ve expanded from 5 additional languages (translations) to 13 (we added 8 duplications).

Hi Guys, I think I have found the setting that is causing the issue.

-> When I have the setting "Synchronize comments on duplicate content" enabled my products (with reviews) can't be updated.
-> When I have the setting "Synchronize comments on duplicate content" disabled all works fine.

Is it possible to make this option work for me? Because it would be nice if my reviews are duplicated as well. And am I the only one with this issue? I tested with standard 2023 theme + only wpml and woocommerce.

Could you please create a copy/stage of the site and try running the site with minimal setup to see if the problem persists?

1) Disable any additional plugins apart from WooCommerce and WPML and our add-ons.

2) If the problem disappears, start reactivating the plugins one by one or activate them in small groups. Do this to check where the problem is reoccurring to see which plugin is causing the problem.

3) If this didn't resolve the cause of the issue, please switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One to see if the issue might be related to the theme.

Once we have been able to identify the cause, we can then attempt to replicate the problem and then escalate it internally. In this case, I provide a test site with WPML.

In case the issue persists while testing with a default theme and only WPML plugins, then I need access to your copy/staging site for further investigation.

If you are unable to set up a copy of your website, please let me know.

Hi Andreas, thank you very much for your reply.

I made a staging area with: 2023theme + woocommerce + wpml plugins

I also made two products:

One product without review (and duplicate in 11 languages):

Once product with review (and duplicate in 11 languages):

The product with reviews can't be updated (option in wpml settings duplicate comments when duplicating product is enabled). When I turn this off the issue is resolved but we want to use this feature.

I'll be more than happy to create a admin user for you, can you send me a private field?

I can see that the issue persists here and I would like to take a copy of the site in order to verify if the issue is somehow related to the hosting server.

My apologies, but it seems that I might need longer access to the staging and try to migrate the site manually, as "All in One WP Migration" and "Duplicator" both are banned on your site - it seems as Kinsta does not allow to use those plugins and I have no other alternatives.

Running the WPML Troubleshooting options for synchronizing product and variation taxonomies seems to solve this issue.

Hi Andreas, that would be fantastic!
Did you test this on our staging server? I just tried to update the sample product with reviews but it returns a 504. I shall now try to run the WPML trouble-shooting on the staging server in case you tried on another server. hope this does the trick.

Yes, in fact, I also had often 504 errors but after running the WPML troubleshooting options it was working on this staging. I was sadly not able to create a copy yet - it may take a lot of time to do this by FTP or with a File Manager Plugin.

I will have another visit to the staging and have another look at it and then get back to you later.

Ah thats a shame, I was hope we were there 🙂
Just ran the troubleshooting and updated the product with reviews but unfortunately 504.
