This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was experiencing a fatal error when activating string translation for the German language, causing the German translation to fail. Additionally, there was an issue with the menu not being translated. After a fix, large portions of the content on the German pages were missing, except for the homepage. The same problem occurred with the Arabic translation.
Solution:
1. We identified that the pages were stuck in review mode, indicated by the eye icon, which meant they were not published. We resolved this by reviving and saving the pages, which made them appear correctly.
2. We advised the client to either:
- Switch back to Translate Everything mode, set it to publish translations immediately, and resend the pages for translation via WPML > Translation Management.
- Or, continue using the current mode (Translate what you choose), send the pages for translation via Translation Management, take them from WPML > Translations, and translate them there.
