  1. Hi,

I’m developing a website for my client who needs a multi-lingual site. She wants me to go ahead and purchase the plugin now so I can input during development. When it comes time for renewal, will she be able to renew at $39 is I transfer the account info to her?

I will already be creating the account under her name, but I obviously have to use my funds to purchase this now.

    Thanks.

    • Hello Joshua,
Thanks for your interest. Yes you can transfer the subscription to your client by editting the details in Settings. She will be able to renew when the time comes logged in from the account.

      Kind regards,

  2. Hello there from Romania,

First of all I would like to tell you that I am not a web developer and therefore I am asking for your support in a delicate situation.

We created a website on the Elegant Themes (EXTRA Theme) platform at https://www.experience-tours.ro/ without knowing that we will have trouble translating the main menu.

Can you please tell me how can I go from Polylang if I buy WPML without losing the translation already done?

    Best regards,
    Adrian

  3. i have already purchased the blog version wpml plugin..i will only purchasing the string translation plugin..is it possible not multingual cms package and the prize…

    • Hello Libin,
The String Translation modules comes included in the CMS version. I am afraid we do not offer an in-between plan. If you want to go ahead with the purchase, please log in to your account and you will be able to upgrade to CMS for the difference (50$ more)

      Kind regards,

  4. Hi

Apologies if this has been answered already but is it possible to automatically create pages and populate the content of the created page with language translations uploaded in an excel sheet or CSV file?

    Scenario
A WordPress site is already live in English with no other pages translated into other languages.

Is there a way to duplicate the pages on the English site to create pages in another language but replacing the original text with the translated text uploaded from a CSV or excel sheet?

    Thank you kindly

    Chris

  6. Hello,
I noticed there is Account renewal fee per year. My questions are:
    1. What does it include?
    2. What will happen if I do not renew my account on time?
    3. If I decide to not renew my account can I continue to use WPML on my website?

    Thank you,
    Ivan

    • Hello Ivan,
Thanks for your interest. Let me asnwer your questions.
1- It includes access to updates and support
2 and 3- If you renew in time you can do it for 50%. Afterwards you can upgrade to lifetime for the difference or buy a new yearly subscription at full price. If you do not renew, our plugin will keep working on your site but you will have no access to updates and support

  7. Hi,

I am the website developer for HolyBiBleFoundation.org (and several other affiliated sites) in europe. they are a non-profit organization and have a 500 year anniversary event about to occur in june of this year. they are in need of your product and one of the administrators requested a gift of your product last week ( at https://wpml.org/purchase/non-profits/ ). generally, what is the lead time on such a decision? not that I want to rush your process, but if necessary we will need to ask our users for a donation, so that we can proceed to reach our deadline.

thank you for your time and assistance!

    -DJ

    • Hello,
thanks for your interest in WPML and submitting your application for a non-profit subscription. Yes, there is a waiting queue. Sometimes you wait a few days, sometimes it can take longer, depends on how many other applications we need to handle. Let me get in touch with the person in charge to check the status of your application. I’ll keep you posted.

      • Hi Agnes,

It seems its been a week or so now … were you able to find any information regarding the approval/rejection?

        Thanks

        peace

        -DJ

        • Hello, the person in charge contacted you two days ago. Didn’t you get anything from us on Wednesday, May 24? Let me check again.

          • Hi Agnes,

they contacted me (the developer) at this email address?
or they contacted the site owner (applicant) at the address submitted with the request?

I am in the USA, they are in Switzerland … let me see if they did get something, though they are very anxious to get this project rolling. I’m pretty sure they would have contacted me if that were they case.

            Thank you for the assistance!

            -DJ

              • Hi Agnes,

Yes … and Nico cc’d me his response back to Irina.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to expedite this!

                Thanks!

                peace

                -DJ

              • Thank you for your help. We received the gift and we are currently doing development.

                One question regarding registration.

Each of the our ‘languaged’ sites is actually a different domain. Once we go live, each will link to a new [yet to be created] domain. However, during development we are simply using a subdomain of one of the existing domains.

                the question is;
we have registered the temporary development subdomain (e.g. store.EXISTINGDOMAIN.org)
when we go live and need to [re-]register the new domain (e.g. NEWSTOREDOMAIN.org), will that be possible without assistance from WPML?

  8. Is there a discount if I purchase the 1yr Multilingual CMS first and then decide to switch over to Lifetime?

  9. Hi, if i buy the Multilingual CMS pack (the most popular) is it possible to later upgrade for a lifetime account? And if so, how much will that cost me, the same price of a normal lifetime subscription or less since i already have a Multilingual CMS pack?
    Thanks!

    • Hello Morgado,
Thanks for your interest. If you buy the CMS version now you will be able to upgrade to lifetime afterwards for the difference only (116$)

      Kind regards,

  10. Hello,

I’m using the7 theme (http://the7.io/). This theme is based on visual composer. If I use WPML to translate my site. Do I have to “duplicate” the pages so I have to apply any layout modification I may need to all the languages I’ve translated my site to?
If not, can you send me a demo of how this is done in WMPL?

    Regards.

  11. Hi,

I just purchased the blog version with my credit card throught paypal and got an error message telling that a problem was encountered during the transaction. Strangely, my credit card account shows that the transaction passed. So, I am not sure whether you will create an account for me or not. May you confirm that you have received my payment please?

    Thanks!

    Jonathan

    • Hello Jonathan,

  12. Hi,
I used to be WPML user for a while but due to technical reasons (the website I used it on was way to slow due to WMPL conflict that we couldn’t resolve with your support staff) I had to switch to another plugin.
I want to give WPML another try as some time passed and I can’t see any indications of the issue still being there.
I would like to renew my license for 39usd to give it a test drive on my sites and see if it working the way I would like. Is it possible to ask for a refund if I find wpml still not fast enough?
    Thanks,
    Lukasz

    • Hello Lukasz,
you can renew for $39 dollars before your WPML expires. If it already expired you can upgrade to Lifetime for $116.
If you want to use our refund policy you can buy WPML anew. I don’t think it it will work for old accounts, but let me double check.

    • Lukasz, I doubled check with the person in charge of refunds. Turns out that our refund policy applies to all transactions, whether it is a renewal or a new purchase. What counts is 30 days after the purchase date.

  13. Hi!

I’m considering to purchase the lifetime version of WPML.

    Two questions:

    1) With lifetime version, can i implement WPML inside my customer’s websites without any required new payment?

I mean, can i use it for example inside hundreds of websites with WordPress?

If i do that what is what i need to do? Using my account license or something like that?

    2) Is WPML ready for RTL languages?

I saw in your website some info and i want to confirm:

    1) Yep, unlimited websites.
    2) Yep, it should work with RTL languages.

Waiting response, thank you in advance.

    • Hi Pablo,

      1. Yes, you just need to buy one WPML subscription and you can use it for all your customers’ sites.
      2. Yes, it is. Just make sure your theme includes CSS for RTL.

  14. Dear support,
i would like to test WooCommerce Multilingual for customer with Woocommerce and additional plugins. So i need WPML Multilingual CMS. In requirements is MySQL version 5.6.. Customer’s hosting uses MySQL version 5.5.51-38.1-log. Is possible to download some older version with support MySQL 5.5.
    Other requirements seems ok

    WooCommerce Version 2.6.6

    Kind Regards
    Jiří

    • Hi Jiří,
in your WPML account you can see all previous versions as well (and download them, you just need to have an active WPML account) but in case of any problems our supporters will ask you to upgrade to the most recent versions since we support only the latest ones.

  15. Dear Sir/Madam,

I work for a company that builds websites. Together with one of my clients, I want to buy a plug-in WPML Multilingual CMS Lifetime. Can we buy it for the agency (potentially to be used with other customers) or should it be bought directly in the client’s name.

    Kind regards,
    Maciej Skibinski

    • Hello Maciej,
yes, you can buy WPML on your agency behalf. No need to use it on behalf of your client. Our licensing system allows you to buy only one WPML subscription and you can use it for all your customers.

    • Sorry I meant: no need to buy it on behalf of your client. Of course you can use it for all your customers.

  16. Hi I am considering purchasing your automatic translation tool for my website and for another similar project I am working on. To what extent is the translation service different from or better than something like Google translate? Is it possible to see a sample text translated into another language e.g. from English to Italian?

    Thanks

    • Hello

I do not understand your reply. If I buy one of your products, say for 1 year to start with what does that provide? Does it provide an automatic translation of my website?

      Regards

      Ann

      • Hello Ann Alexander,

Does it provide an automatic translation of my website?

No, it doesn’t. WPML lets you translate your pages, posts and all other WP elements but you provide the translations. So if you have a post in English and you would like to translate it to Spanish, you click “translate” which creates a translation page that will be available in Spanish but it is you who types in the content in Spanish.

Another option is to send pages to professional translation services that are integrated with WPML, you pay extra for this service, in short, the price depends on the number of words you need to translate.

  17. Hi there!

I have a wordpress website which it is in english and I want to make it multilingual, so I thought to buy your plugin, which seems very good. However, I want to make a few questions first, to be sure that it is what I really need.

For now I just want to add a new language. With your plugin, can I export my website to some kind of format, so that I can send it to a translator and then import it again to my website again? After the import the idea is to have the two languages in my website.

Another question is about the pricing. If I buy the Multilingual CMS and I don’t renew it, what will be the limitations? Can I add new languages after the first year? The plugin will be still working?

    Thank you for your attention.

    Best regards.

    • Hi Miguel,
yes, if you use the Translation Management plugin (included in the CMS/Lifetime packages) you can send your content either to your translators (users set as translator in your WordPress) or to profession translation services.

If you don’t renew, your site will continue working but you lose access to our future releases and our support help.

You can add more languages later, no problem.

  18. Hi,

I would like to use a plugin like WPML to create a Dutch version of the http://www.thoughtline-europe.com site. Would it be possible to use the WPML plugin on a test environment (test.thoughtline-europe.com) for a trial period to see if I can work with it properly (I’m not a developer myself :-)).
If I’m able to create a Dutch version of the site on the test environment I will buy a license for the live site.
    Is that possible?
    Regards,
    Maurice

      • Once you have bought a subscription from us an account will be created. You need to register WPML for the sites where you want to use it. You will get a separate key for each site. Through your account you can register as many sites as you need. To answer your question: You can use WPML on as many sites as you need.

  19. hi,

Does the CMS version also translate woocommerce? Or do I need to buy another specific wpml for woocommerce?

    thks

  20. hello, i have a word-press site with woocommerce. in the editor we use the plugin “kingcomposer” to create the content. can you please tell me, if your tool can translate the kingcomposer content in sites? br, emanuel

  21. Trying to figure out a way to do on the fly translations for BBpress forum postings. For example, if I use WPML for localization to four different languages is there a way to have a language selector for the forum posts so that they will also display translated?

  22. Hello, I had an active subscription and you have not warned me like other years to renew it. The subscription has expired and now you ask me to pay it in full. It can be fixed?

    • Hello Jorge,
We are sorry for this. We have extended the offer to renew for 50% until Friday.
Also remember you have the option to upgrade to lifetime for the difference (116$ more). This way you don’t need to pay for yearly renewals again.

      Kind regards,

    • Hello,
it isn’t. Maybe there were some exceptions in the past, rare cases I would say. Sometimes we do have free subscriptions for WordCamp attendees if we attend as sponsors.

    • Hello Emilian,

what exactly do you mean by “the api of google neural translation”? I link to that API would help. Anyway, we don’t support automated translation services, so if you would like to add such a similar service to WPML, coding skills are required.
