Hello,
I had a license since 2014, but I missed the renewal email last year and my license seems to have expired. Is it possible to renew it or will I have to buy a new one again?
Hello Harish,
What about the offer to upgrade to lifetime for the difference? (116$ instead of 195$). Log in to your account and you will see a link to do it.
Hello, I’m sorry for this option is available only for active accounts. Since your subscription expired a few years ago, you can no longer benefit from it. Instead, you can use the option to upgrade to the Lifetime account.
Hello Christian,
I’ve just checked and indeed you have a Lifetime subscription. Let me ask our admins to check why you are not receiving the emails. I will keep you posted.
Hi,
I recently ordered a license for WPML, but I make a mistake with my email-adress.
Could you please correct my data, to receive the software and invoice? My Invoice-No is [edited]
You will find my correct Email-address in this message.
Hi, can you tell me how compatible WPML is with DIVI? And what if we have the site almost ready and the translations will come later (it is a longer process to get this done…), can we just duplicate the DIVI styled pages and then translate the text elements?
I’ve purchased multilingual CMS and paid 79 USD via paypal (Invoice ID WPML-1511195
) but my account is still inactive and ask me to make a new purchase
Hello,
since you have registered with a new email, a new account was created (you should have logged in to your old account first and upgrade from there) Your new email is the one with the adroiteg.com domain.
We can merge the two accounts into the previous one or you can start using the new account that was generated.
Please let us know which option you prefer.
Hello,
I want to buy a WPML plugin version for 79$. I see that I can use it on unlimited ammount of webpages, but I have 1 year free updates and support. Can I still use WPML after 1 year, without updates? Or I must buy lifetime license?
once I bought the WPML
Does it allow me to download all labels menus and content on excel and i send to translator they translate and return to us and we can just upload the excel and all will be translated????
I dont know them, i am not that technical, but all i need is excel export of all english and i will get them translated for example to french and will import excel back to the system and that is all
Another question:
if i buy the Multilingual CMS 79 USD and then within 2-3 months pay the difference 195-79 = 116 usd than can i have Multilingual CMS Lifetime ???
Yes, but please note that this is how it works now. We are going to change our pricing model in the near future and won’t have the Lifetime option any more. But before we do so, we will notify our customers so that these who want to upgrade to Lifetime, can do so.
If not you might need some help. You can try our support forum first but if it turns out to be a bigger task which is out of the scope of our support help, you can ask for help one of our contractors https://wpml.org/contractors/
Hello Willy,
no, you won’t. You won’t lose any of our translation pages and the WPML plugin you have installed will continue working. If you don’t renew you will lose access to new versions and our support help.
I just redid the website. The old one (with former webmaster) used to have WPML plugin installed. But now i dont. Is it possible to get back the license ? how ? i have a back up of the old site.
Yes, if you manage to “prove” that you bought WPML from us, no problem. Please use this form and send us your full name, the email you used to buy WPML or your order number and we will check the your account’s status. https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/
Hi,
Is it safe for me to use those themes claiming to be WPML Ready/Compatible/Certified, but both the developer’s name and themes are not listed here?
(It made me wonder what is the lead time to get a theme certified and listed here.)
If so, it’s not safe. I mean, you might have some issues. You should be able to translate pages, posts, basic stuff but if a theme wasn’t checked by our Compatibility Team (which means, isn’t listed on the list I shared above) you might have issue. Some theme authors to increase their sales claim that their theme is WPML ready while they didn’t even contact us to ask to test it.
But the good news is that we have a refund policy so you can test it yourself.
Hello John,
I’m not sure if I get your point. If you want to check if your theme is compatible with WPML, you can use the filters, no need to go through that whole list. Or are you a theme author who wants to apply? It can take up to a few months to have a theme compatible with WPML. But if a theme is well coded it can take a week. Depends on the theme.
Yes, but if it turns out that the only way to solve your issue is to make that option compatible with WPML on the theme level, our supporter will tell you that it is out of the scope of our support help.
Hello,
you can use any card. The data that appear on your invoice doesn’t need to be related to what you have in your card. We don’t accept checks, I’m sorry.
Hello,
are you our customer? If so, please open a ticket in our support forum: https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/ and our supporters will check hwy you cannot enter that key.
I have a question regarding your plugin license, if i chose to buy a one year license, what happens to the funcionality of the sites i install this in if i decide not to renew, does the additional language content get blocked?
Hello Fernando,
if you don’t renew, the WPML plugins you have installed will continue working, nothing gets blocked. But if you don’t renew, you won’t be able to update them to new versions and you lose access to our support help.
Hi There. Would like to get the free WPML edition for our Non-Profits organisation. Already have an (expired) paid licensed that I bought a few years ago. Please let me know the process for this.
Hi,
I used wordpress localization function of “__()” in my php files. As an example: __(‘Login.’)
I tried some free other plugins but they couldn’t find and ask me the translation of strings that are used with this function.
Will WPML ask me to translate words used with this function to translate_
Hi,
have you tried Loco translate? WPML is a plugin for making your site multilingual, not for translating your theme. But WPML also can detects strong from gettext functions.
It’s worth to use WPML only if you plan to make your site available in more than one language. Otherwise please use the Loco translate plugin.
Hello, I’m trying to purchase your Multiligual CMS Lifetime version of your plugin. But it wasn’t possible to complete the transaction. I tried with Paypal and 2Cheackout, 3 times and non of them worked.
Hey Carlos, please use this form and send us the following:
– what error are you getting
– your order number (if you got one)
– the email you were trying to buy with https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/
My theme uses the Unyson page builder plugin. I’m having trouble finding the best option to keep a multilingual website.
I was wondering if WPML allows the links to keep the same slug for different languages, so I won’t loose the links in the future.
For example, my website’s main language is English, and I want a Portuguese translation on it. Some posts however, don’t need to be translated, and for those I’d like to keep the same slug – either by showing the same post for both languages, or simply by having links like http://www.travellingwithtania.com/example and http://www.travellingwithtania.com/pt/example
Is this possible on the “multilingual blog” option?
Hello Tania,
we are compatible with a few page builders (the most popular ones) and for these you just translate strings without recreating the pages.
But WPML is not compatible with this specific page builder which means that you can still translate the your pages but you need to recreate the layout for pages in other languages. WPML also allows you to display your original version of the post/page for other languages but it doesn’t make much sense if your goal is to provide content in your user language.
Yes, you don’t need to translate all of your pages/posts. WPML allows this.
And yes, you can use the same slugs for both languages.
I’ve decided to give it a go and purchased the theme, but I am having some issues.
When translating, somethings are creating a new slug, which is exactly what I didn’t want to happen – for instance, on the post categories, I’d like to share the same category for some slugs, and it creates a “name-2” slug instead.
How can I use the same categories for both available translations?
When I say some of my posts are not translatable, I refer to things like my “clipping” – I’d like to keep the same clipping for both languages, meaning, if I have an interview in the portuguese tv station, this contents would still be available in the english pages, for clipping purposes…
Hello Tania,
thank you for purchasing WPML. Please ask your questions in our support forum. First log into your WPML account and the click on this link https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/
No, you don’t need to purchase again. Please just logged into your WPML account and use the links we provide. If your account hasn’t expired yet, you will be able to renew for $39.

Hello, I’m sorry for this option is available only for active accounts. Since your subscription expired a few years ago, you can no longer benefit from it. Instead, you can use the option to upgrade to the Lifetime account.
Hi, I need the WMPML Plugin for one single site only. Is there any discount for single site usage? Thanks in advance.
Hello Stefan,
The price is the same whether you want to use WPML on one site or several others.
Kind regards,
Hi,
I have an account with you but cant remember the password. The function to reset it seems not be working, I am not getting any mail to reset it.
Please check.

Hello Christian,

Hey Christian. Our admin has reset the password for you and we sent you new credentials. Please let me know if you got that email.
Hi Agnes, thank you, nothing received yet, sorry. Maybe you try to send also the email to my colleague? instead of cb, just gs

Does it allow me to download all labels menus and content on excel and i send to translator they translate and return to us and we can just upload the excel and all will be translated????
Hello Max, yes, you can either upload your translations via a CSV file (in this case use the WPML All Import plugin), alternatively you can use XLIFF files (please check details here https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-desktop-cat-tools/) or you can use WPML Tranlsation Manager to send your content to one of the trasnlation services directly from your WordPress.
I dont know them, i am not that technical, but all i need is excel export of all english and i will get them translated for example to french and will import excel back to the system and that is all

Hello! Is there for USD 29 included Woocommerce multilingual plugin?
Hello. No, it’s not. You need to have the CMS subscription to use WPML with WooCommerce.
Will I lose any for the translation pages if i did not renewal my subscription? Thank you 🙂

Hey John.
You mean, you cannot find your theme on this list:
https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
If so, it’s not safe. I mean, you might have some issues. You should be able to translate pages, posts, basic stuff but if a theme wasn’t checked by our Compatibility Team (which means, isn’t listed on the list I shared above) you might have issue. Some theme authors to increase their sales claim that their theme is WPML ready while they didn’t even contact us to ask to test it.

Yes, that is the link I used to check.
This link below lists over 5000 WordPress themes which claim WPML compatible:
https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress?compatible_with=WPML&page=1
However your website lists 28 pages, and each page has 30 themes which gives a total of only about 840 themes.
Hello John,
I’m not sure if I get your point.

Hi
Before I purchase this plugin. Do you have step by step tutorials for WPML ?
Hi. Yes, we do. We also have some videos. This is our YouTube channel.

forget it, just tried the reset again and it worked!
Great to hear that!

I’m sorry but we no longer have free editions for non-profit organizations. You need to renew your account as any other user.

I hope I am clear. Thank you.
I mean in the string translation, will strings used in __() function appear?
Yes, they will. But please see my previous reply.
Thanks your reply. As far as I understand, if I have necessary .mo files for my theme, I can use WPML to make my website multilanguage.
Yes, but even if you don’t these files but your theme strings were wrapped in gettext functions WPML should be able to detect them.
