I have an issue with translating for its profile page; I have asked its support for about 2 weeks now; it is just back and forth questions/answers as the guy who supports my ticket seems not know enough about the theme or translations.
2. Will your plugins translate all strings for this plugins:
It seems it wont translate front end registration form using PO & MO files as UserPro. But the support told me that it can be done using this Multi-language plugins which they claim to own:
the Profile Builder hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team which means you can expect some issues. From time to we are getting support requests indicating that this plugin gets into conflicts with WPML, please check some examples here.
yes, it is good to try your plugins. However, I have found out that the theme from AIT using Polyland instead. Is that OK if I use your plugins on top of Polyland to translate front end strings?
Now I test my new wordpress theme on the the sub domain. I also installed WPML to test and translate the theme on my sub domain. If I move my site on sub domain to be on the main domain, will the translation and setting be gone? Do I need to verify the new site key for main domain? (right now I created a key for sub domain)
Hello Kan,
If the url is different you will need a new key, yes.
Do you still have issues installing the plugins? Is your subscription active? Please try unregistering and registering your site again.
Hello,
I have a question regarding the Multilingual CMS and its lifetime version. If I get the lifetime bundle, will I have support and updates same as in annual payment model?
Hell Fatih,
The lifetime subscription will give you lifetime access to downloads, support and updates for unlimited sites. Note we will be removing new sales of this subscription type as of May.
Is your WPML plugin and all its addons fully compatible with porto wordpress theme because a lot of my friends who tried both the theme and your plugins say that there is a conflict between the porto theme and the Woocommerce Multilingual addon
Hello Mark,
according to their change log they have made attempts to make this theme WPML ready but the theme hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team so we cannot ensure you that you will be able to translate each and every string coming from this theme. Please note that even if a theme is not marked as WPML-ready you should be able to translate basic elements such as posts, pages, menu, categories, etc. You might have some issues with translating the theme options.
Hello William,
79$ is the first time cost. Afterwards we will charge a renewal fee for 51$. If you do not renew you will lose access to updates and support, but you can keep using the files which you have already downloaded and installed.
Hello,
I would like to make my website multilingual.
How does your product handle Googles hreflang tags? Does it present these to Google, so Google know the country which the webpage is targeted at?
Many thanks in advance,
Brian Willcox.
The client currently used curry currency – however it cant work on wordpress. i noticed here and there that you make mention of currency converter. just how you would choose a flag to change language – is it possible to have the same drop down n give different currency on the pages as per above? where the euro can be switch to rand or pound?
Hi
1. I looked over the list of developers and themes that are compatible with WPML. I see that you have ThemeTrust listed but not the particular theme I use, “Create”. Does this mean I should not purchase your pluggin or is it also possible that you have just not hd time to test all their themes yet? (almost all of their other themes are compatible according to your site).
2. I want to translate my homepage which does not include any commerce. Will the most affordable version of WPML be enough for my kind of webpage (se the link above)?
Hello Miriam,
We have worked with Themetrust on several of their themes, yes. I imagine “Create” should also be compatible, since they know how to do this. In any case, I cannot say it’s going to work 100%. You are welcome to try WPML with this theme and if it does not work we will refund you. You have until 30 days to do this https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
About your second question, the Blog version will allow you to translate posts and pages of your site. You can start with this one and if needed upgrade to CMS later on, for the difference only.
Hi I’m only really looking at the WooCommerce currency switching feature I was wondering if it bills the customers credit card in the selected currency for checkout when using PayPal or PayPal express
I.e if the customer has the site in USD it bills in USD if they have it in aud does it bill their card/account in AUD etc?
If we’re talking about PayPal it will bill in current currency if PayPal supports it.
for example:
– you are ordering in USD then PayPal will use USD
– you are ordering in EUR then PayPal will use EUR
– you are ordering in UAH (Ukrainian gruvna) then PayPal will use the default one ( in most cases USD ) because it’s not supporting UAH
I currently build the site in English and will translate it to French. So for that, the main (current) language will be English. After it is done, we will need to continue in French as the main language and the translations go to English (swapping the main language, after the two languages are there). I wanted to know if it is possible to swap later-on, and that the main language will be a different one. I don’t mind if the main URL will be always English, but that we put content in French and to be able to use the WPML to translate to English. Please let me know if it is possible.
Also, concerning the payment: What happens to the content if I do not update after one year? Is the translated pages are erased, or it is only a question of support and updates?
Hello,
Yes, you should be able to change your primary language later but please let me double check with our developers since in the past there were some issues in such cases provided you were using additional WPML add-ons such as Strong translation. They should be resolved by now but please let me double check with our developers.
If you don’t renew you can still use the plugins you downloaded (and/or installed) but you lose access to new versions and our support.
Thank you for your detailed reply. Have you got a chance to ask the developers if it might cause any problem? Also, I would like to know if swapping the main language is complicated and if you could instruct me on how doing so.
1. is it possible to hide the language option selection ( language flag icon ) from the users that are not logged in? In other words – one can select language only when logged in in WP (as customer).
2. Can the plugin be setup in such way that will switch the language automatically depending on the location the website is accessed from? (maybe that can eliminate the flag icon altogether)
I’m trying to help my client. They are manufacturing their products that are 100% hand-made in the USA, and now they have distributors in China. They concern is that USA customers may perceive the choice of Chinese language option as a sign that their manufacturing has something to do with China.
Do you have any suggestions how to go about this “problem”?
1. There are several possibilities. If your language switcher is in a widget, you can use “Widget Logic” to show it only to logged in users. There are also filters available that a developer can use to hide/show any type of language switcher.
2. We only offer automatic redirection based on the browser language, not the location. However, there are 3rd party plugins available and also a developer should be able to add this functionality with a few lines of code.
Hi WPML team! I am interested in purchasing a license, but the checkout page (and also the ‘contact us’ page, by the way) looks to be broken. I’m getting an unstyled page. Could you please fix this? 😉
I just tested and it looks ok. Please try again, this was most probably just a temporary glitch.

Hello Adam,

the exact steps of translating a homepage depend on several factors, such as what theme you use and if it’s compatible with WPML, how your page is built, whether you use a page builder.
WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically. You provide the translations or you can send your pages to one of the processional translation services integrated with WPML (you will need to install the WPML Translation Management plugin, it’s included in the CMS or/and Lifetime package).
Merci!
I’m looking to leverage WPML for a client website that will be in English by default, but will also need to be translated into French. For some Posts or Custom Posts types, however, there will be content that is in French only. I see in your documentation that content in the default language (English) can be hidden from a secondary language (French) if it is not translated by selecting “Translatable – only show translated items”, but can the reverse happen as well? Ie is it possible to post a blog post in French, but hide it from the English site?
Hello, i have website that have about 100 posts daily , id like to have additional 5 languages , can wpml translate automaticly all new posts and save them to database so that goole can index them ?
WPML allows you to run a site with several languages, but it doesn’t automatically translate the content for you. With WPML, you can translate yourself or send content to external translators, but not translate automatically.
Hi,
We just recently started a sort of an e-shop startup and wanted to know whether there was a free trial or something similar to try out before buying the real thing?
Just wanting to see how it feels, as the 79$ version seems like quite a leap of faith.
In any case, there’s no risk for you. If you buy WPML and you’re not 100% satisfied, let us know and we’ll refund your order. We can refund orders up to 30 days from the purchase date.
Hello, no, we don’t but our refund policy is even better – it allows you to test WPML on your site without any risk for 30 days and during the probation time you can even ask technical question in our support forum.
I am using polylang now, I want to know if WMPL allows exporting and importing of posts without breaking the language relationship information for the individual posts? It will be a good reason for me to switch over to WMPL if it can do it.
Hi again,
Thank you for answering to my previous questions.
1. Will you plugins translate every string on Front End and Back End of the directory themes from:
https://www.ait-themes.club/
I have an issue with translating for its profile page; I have asked its support for about 2 weeks now; it is just back and forth questions/answers as the guy who supports my ticket seems not know enough about the theme or translations.
2. Will your plugins translate all strings for this plugins:
https://www.cozmoslabs.com/wordpress-profile-builder/
Or:
https://userproplugin.com/
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thon
Hello Daro again,
We have worked with Ait themes, but it’s been a while since we last got in touch with them, as far as I know https://wpml.org/developer/ait-themes/. Which of their themes are you using? We are working with the authors of UserPro but we have not worked with https://www.cozmoslabs.com/wordpress-profile-builder/
Remember WPML will allow you to try our plugin for 30 days and if it does not suit your needs we will refund you https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your response.
If your company worked with AIT theme before, there is a good chance that I can use your plugins to translate their theme.
I have a number of issues with UserPro now and want to give it up and move on with this guide:
https://www.cozmoslabs.com/wordpress-profile-builder/
mentioned above.
It seems it wont translate front end registration form using PO & MO files as UserPro. But the support told me that it can be done using this Multi-language plugins which they claim to own:
https://translatepress.com/
If your plugins can do the same things as that above plugins, it should be OK for my theme’s translation?
Cheers
Thon
Hello,
the Profile Builder hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team which means you can expect some issues. From time to we are getting support requests indicating that this plugin gets into conflicts with WPML, please check some examples here.
You can give it a try and test yourself. Our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days without any risk. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

Not on top I’m afraid but instead. We also have a plugin that allows you to migrate from Polylang to WPML.

I am trying to install

How can I install those 2 plugin?

Hello Mark,
Do you mean Porto by http://themeforest.net/user/SpyroPress? We started to work with the author but have not heard back from them. You can see here a list of the themes we tested https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility
no not this one, I mean this themeforest.net/item/porto-responsive-wordpress-ecommerce-theme
Seems this link is empty. I get “404 – Nothing to see here” Is this theme still available?
I mean this one https://themeforest.net/item/porto-responsive-wordpress-ecommerce-theme/9207399
Hello Mark,

Hello Danny,
You can see here how we handle multiple currencies https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#multiple-currencies

Hi David, I tried it again and it works perfectly now! Thanks! 🙂
Hello!
I would like to buy WPML lifetime option. I need an invoice for a private person, not for a company, so that I am wondering how should I fulfill a field ‘Company Details’. Should I leave it empty or should I leave my Private details? Moreover, is there maybe a possibility to receive an invoice in Polish version :)?

Hello Adam,
the invoice is automatically regenerated by WPML and you will find it in your WPML account. Yes, in the Company details feel free to enter your private details (first and last name, your postal address). The invoice is generated in English only but according to Polish law is perfectly okay to have an invoice in English.

If you are interested in the Lifetime version, now is last change to get it.
Thanks Agens,
Yes, I’m interested in the Lifetime version, and I will get it.
But, do I have chance to get it through the next two days?
Regards,
Yes, two days are fine. The switch to the new model won’t happen in the next few days, most likely in about two weeks.
Thanks Agnes,
Now, I bough the Lifetime version, but I don’t receive any email with my account (username and password).
how long a time I need to get my account?

There are quite a lot of WordPress sites using WPML and WooCommerce, so I don’t anticipate big problems. The documentation for multilingual WooCommerce is here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/
In any case, there’s no risk for you. If you buy WPML and you’re not 100% satisfied, let us know and we’ll refund your order. We can refund orders up to 30 days from the purchase date.
Do you offer demo (trial) so i can test on my platform
Hello, no, we don’t but our refund policy is even better – it allows you to test WPML on your site without any risk for 30 days and during the probation time you can even ask technical question in our support forum.
I am using polylang now, I want to know if WMPL allows exporting and importing of posts without breaking the language relationship information for the individual posts? It will be a good reason for me to switch over to WMPL if it can do it.
Yes, we have a special plugin for migrating from Polylang to WPML:

Actually my question is about exporting and importing of posts without breaking the post language relationship
Yes, as said in this page:
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/migrate-polylang-wpml/
“The posts are in the correct languages.”
