Hi –
I need a few clarifications regarding the use of WPML with Elementor :
#1 – Let’s say I have 2 languages (FR, EN) and I am updating the FR design in Elementor (e.g. adding a section with images and text), will WPML automatically update the EN design accordingly (mirror the design in FR) ?
#2 – Let’s say I have 2 languages (FR, EN) and I remove all sections / design in EN through Elementor, will WPML keep my translations to EN so that if I re-generate the design in EN from FR my translations are automatically added ?
WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically. It works with Elementor but you need to provide the translation. If you change the content in the original language you will need to update the translation as well. It won’t happen automatically. Please watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyeK177B9aM and it should help you undestand how you translate your pages using WPML and Elementor.
Hi! My company is settled in Spain, but in the Canary Islands, where we have a different tax system and don’t pay the mainland VAT. How can we do it to purchase WPML without paying this tax? Because it automatically loads it when you select SPAIN… Thank you!!!
Hello Vanessa. Please contact us using this form to sort it out. https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/ Please send us your VAT number and if you already purchased your oder number.
Hello, if you need the WPML Translation management you need to buy the Multilingual CMS ($79) or if you will be buying after the price switch – the Standard or the Agency subscription.
Hello,
WPML doesn’t translate your contact automatically. You need to provide the translations or can send your posts, pages etc to professional translation services where everything is translated by humans.
The theme hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team but according to the change log which I can see on the theme site I assume this theme is WPML compatible. You can give it a try and test it yourself since our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days without any risk.
Hi there! I’m wanting to achieve the following. Have both http://www.domain.de (Germany) AND http://www.domain.at (Austria) pointing to the same WordPress site with the same content. Austrian IP addresses are to be redirected to the .at domain. Currently the only difference will be the country specific contact details on the contact page. Will I be able to achieve this with your plugin? Thank you!
Hello,
thanks for your interest in WPML. It is not clear from your description whether your site is going to be multilingual and which languages you need. I assume that you will need to German languages, one for German users and one for Austrians where the content of all pages will be the same with a few exceptions. If so, WPML can help here. You will need to set up two German languages with diffrent codes.
WPML doesn’t have a a feature to redirect your users according to their IP but it has a feature to detect the user’s language set in their browser and then redirect. Also if you want to keep these two language version on separate domains, some additional setup on your server will be required, as explained here: https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
I use Replete wordpress theme with woocommerce. Products are sold worldwide. I want to charge CDN $ in Canada but USD everywhere else. I don’t want to give the option to customers to choose I want to force those currencies. Will this product do that?
Hello,
in WPML you can assign a specific currency for a language and then when a user browse the site in a given language, the products will be available in this specific currency. But if they switch the language, they can buy in the other currency as well so complete forcing is not possible. Please note that setting up a multilingual store with WPML and WooCommerce makes sense when your goal is to run a multilingual store. If you just need WPML to sell your products in two currencies and you don’t want to translate your products installing WPML plugins might be a kind of overkill but such a usage is also possible.
We’re looking to use the plugin on a site that is solely in English but is for potential customers all over the globe. If we duplicate pages will the plugin create the correct hreflang (or be configured to) as shown in the example below for users in France?
What is not clear from your description whether you would like to run the site in English only (“site that is solely in English”) or in some other language as well, providing relevant translations.
WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically. It provides the duplicate option but to attract organic traffic to your site from diffrent users all over the globe you will need to provide good translations.
Yes the plugins you have downloaded and installed will continue working even if you don’t renew your subriptions but please note that WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically.
You need to pay yearly only if you want to receive updates and our support help which is of course something you can benefit from but if you cancel your subription, the plugins you installed will continue working fine (of course we cannot anticipate what will happen in the future if you upgrade your WordPress to future version and won’t update WPML).
I am currently building a website for a client who might want to add another language to the site in the future.
Is it possible to install WPML after finishing the website or does it need to be installed from the beginning in order to work?
Hi, will WPML work on the multisite network?
I am building a small network of three sites wor a client and if your plugin works on the multisite network then I need to build only two sites as one can be multilanguage.
Hello David,
yes, WPML works on the multisite network. If you buy today, you can either buy the Multilingual CMS or the Lifetime subriptions and you can use it for all of your sites. We are about to change our pricing model, please read more about it here.
In case of using multisite, you need to register one domain and use one WPML key so if you buy WPML when our new plan is active, the Standard plan should suffice in your case.
Can your plugins translate email verification sent to users upon registration. I use UserPro which is OK for a single language website. But it cannot be used for for multilingual site; it only sends email verification to users in English not in other languages.
Can your plugins figure out how to do that? (I know my question may be very stupid, but I am desparate to find a solution)
Many thanks for your help. Yes, I am sure your plugins is compatible with UserPro. It is better to buy and test your plugins.
1. I already have built-in Polyland installed with the Theme on my wordpress site. Is it ok to install WPML with Polyland on my site?
2. If I buy Multilingual CMS $79, and it expires after one year, will that plugins continue to work? And can I upgrade to Multilingual CMS Lifetime after 3 or 6 months?
3. Can your plugins translate email content of UserPro. That email content is email verification being sent to users by UserPro after users submit registration form. Can WPML send, for example, that email verification in French when French users submit a french registration form, in English when English users submit an English registration form?
and:
4. Is it possible for your plugins to redirect French users to a french custom page after they click the above verification link (it is the same unique verification link created by UserPro; all registration forms have the same verification link), the same for English users (but by default, users will be redirected to UserPro file page which is in English)
1. You mean Polylang? You should use either WPML or Polylang. If you are already using the Polylang plugin we also have a migration plugin from Polylang to WPML.
Many thanks for answering my questions. Sorry I am not quite sure of your answers.
1. I cannot remove Polylang as it is built in with the theme. Is it possible to use WPML with Polylang on that theme?
2. That page does not say how to upgrade to life time plugins from Multilingual CMS $79?
3. Will WPML automatically send that translated email verification to users in French langue after French users submit their French registration form?
4. You have mistyped; I dont understand that. Can you please help clarify that answer to my question: “Is it possible for your plugins to redirect French users to a french custom page after they click the above verification link (it is the same unique verification link created by UserPro; all registration forms have the same verification link), the same for English users (but by default, users will be redirected to UserPro file page which is in English)”
Hi Daro,
1. Are you sure you cannot remove it? There should be a way. If I were you, I would write to the theme support checking how to do this.

3. WPML only allows you to translate different elements of your site. It doesn’t change the core functionality of your theme/plugin. #1. May I please have the link to the theme website? It’s not recommended using both Polylang and WPML since it might lead to conflicts.
#2. Yes, we have the option now but in about two weeks we will remove it and it won’t be possible to upgrade to the Lifetime option. But you can buy the Lifetime subscription now.
#3 I asked the question to our developers from the Compatibility Team. Waiting for their feedback.
Подскажите пожалуйста, могу я купить лицензию за 79$ и пользоваться WPML на нескольких своих сайтах?
1. As a web developer, if I build a site for a client and continue to perform regular maintenance on the site, am I permitted to use the Multilingual CMS Lifetime license to do this?
2. If so, can I disable the license (so additional updates are not available, but still have functionality as it existed still work) if we no longer work with each other later on? Can this be handled remotely if access it locked out?
Thanks for your assistance with this!
Be Well.
Paul.
2. Yes, you can. You register each of your customer site in your WPML account. If you discontinue your work with one of them, you simply remove his/her domain from the list in your WPML account and their won’t receive future updates but the version they have installed will still work for them.
I’m currently using different top domains for my languages, I’m not using WPML. I only install different wordpress copies on each language top domain and translate it from there. You (or your friend) need to buy WPML first by following this page: https://wpml.org/purchase/. Then you will receive your login and password to the email you will enter on the checkout page.

I need to ask if the WPML plugin can help us to translate the woocommerce product into the desired languages and then to sent order emails according to the user language on the website.
For example, one customer will be someone from UK, he has an account in our site and he will make an order – so with WPML is it possible to send him an email with order items translated into the english?
Another customer will be from Poland, so same situation, but the order items in email should be in Polish.
Hello Ramon,
I am afraid we do not accept bank transfers but you are welcome to pay with PayPal or your credit/debit card through 2Checkout.
Hope this helps!
I have several websites in seven different languages.
Technically it looks like this: each site is a different WordPress installation under different domain. I want to change this – now every change requires too much time – but before I choose Your plugin I have to know answer about few questions:
1) As I understand I don’t have to use WordPress Multisite to create multilingual version of the same page?
2) What is direct URL for the each language version (especially for home page)?
mypage.com (for basic language, for example English)
mypage.com/pl (for polish)
etc.?
3) Is there any possibility to connect a different domain to each language version?
4) What is the easiest way to export/import data for translator (export for translator, and import new translation making by translator)?
5) I’m using Visual Composer, is there any option to export content for translator without VC/themes shortcode or html?
Hi, WPML is compatible with Avada and many of our customers use Avada with WPML. If you have issues with WPML and Avada, best would be to open a ticket in our support forum. To do so you need to have an active WPML subription.
Yes, we are compatible with the most popular page builder, WPBakery including. If your theme is compatible with WPML you will be able to translate all your elements. Please check if your theme is on this list: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/

Succintly : I don’t know which version to buy, if the economic it’s enough or not…
Thank you for your attention
Hello, if you need the WPML Translation management you need to buy the Multilingual CMS ($79) or if you will be buying after the price switch – the Standard or the Agency subscription.
The economic version contains WPML Translation management ?
I’m not sure which version you call economic, but the Multilingual CMS version includes all our plugins.
How accurate is the English to French translation?
How accurate is the English to Chinese translation?
Is there a way I can test the translation to see the accuracy of translation?
Thanks,

Hi, I would like to purchase WPML for my site.
Before that,
1. Could you advise is it compatible to my site?
2. And What is the procedure of the plugin installation?
The wordpress site is purchased from Xtemos. According to Xtemos, their theme is WPML Compatible and below is the theme I am using.
WordPress Site Theme : Demo Fashion Flat – WoodMart

Appreciate if you could help me on this, Thanks.

If all forms have the same verification link and if it’s not translatable, WPML you won’t handle this redirection.

Hello Paul,
1. Yes, but please note that we are going to change our subription model soon. https://wpml.org/2018/04/lifetime-plan-going-away-favor-annual-renewals/ If you buy the Lifetime subriptions before the switch, nothing will change for you.

For example, one customer will be someone from UK, he has an account in our site and he will make an order – so with WPML is it possible to send him an email with order items translated into the english?
Another customer will be from Poland, so same situation, but the order items in email should be in Polish.
Is it possible with WPML?
Thanks a lot
Best regards
Peter
Yes, WPML is fully integrated with WooCommerce by using our “WooCommerce Multilingual” plugin.
You can read all the details over here:

Can i use a banktransfer as payment if you don’t have a creditcard because paypal is also linked to a creditcard.
Kind Regards,
Hello Ramon,
I am afraid we do not accept bank transfers but you are welcome to pay with PayPal or your credit/debit card through 2Checkout.
Hope this helps!
Hello,
I have several websites in seven different languages.
Thanks for Your help 🙂
1) Correct.
2) You have 3 different choices to build the URL. The one you mention (subdirectories) is one of them.
3) That is another one of the choices (different domains):
https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
4) The standard format for this is XLIFF and its supported (you need the CMS package though):
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-desktop-cat-tools/
5) Yes, Visual Composer is supported (also requires CMS):

Hi,
I want to buy WPML but after activating it, it mess up my wordpress Avada Design.
Any help please.
Hi, WPML is compatible with Avada and many of our customers use Avada with WPML. If you have issues with WPML and Avada, best would be to open a ticket in our support forum. To do so you need to have an active WPML subription.
Is WPML compatible with visual composers like wpbakery or others?
Also, it is possible to translate various data in a theme setting, widgets etc?
Yes, we are compatible with the most popular page builder, WPBakery including. If your theme is compatible with WPML you will be able to translate all your elements. Please check if your theme is on this list: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
