  1. Hello,

I purchased Multilingual Agency for loyal clients some weeks ago.

Despite this i’m getting account renewal emails. Do I need to do something?? Since I did this purchase, I am expecting nothing to do.

    Thanks in advance

  2. Hello I purchased the multilingual agency plan.
How much does it cost to use a translate service eg. icanlocalize ?

A reference of amount / words or something similar would be useful to determine if i will use it.

    Thank you

  3. Hello,

Please could you confirm if there is any time limit to get the answers from the support team of WPML? We are having problems to install properly our plugin and we need help ASAP. It is almost 24 hours since we sent the last question and we have not received any answer yet.
    Thanks.

  5. Hello, is your multilingual plugin compatible with the following theme?

    https://themeforest.net/item/seafood-company-restaurant-theme/18013136?_ga=2.106738819.1832081312.1533010584-595280861.1533010584&_gac=1.253447803.1533010584.CjwKCAjw7vraBRBbEiwA4WBOn7D9rPg3J6BlFtwxwMIoZMaSZkwwWrWMEXG9R1S9Z9Duj7W4JPQueBoCoCcQAvD_BwE
    2) How much does it cost, my budget is low & need a cheaper option so can I do it with for just 1 language – English to Ukranian? Please give me the price for full option & partial option (translation of only 1 language, if that is available)
    3) I’m a novice with no technical skill so can I install it myself & make the plugin work with my limited technical skill or will I have to hire someone
    4) I would like to create shortcut action buttons on top of the page denoted by flag of a particular country to change language quickly. Again can I do it myself with my limited skill set?

  6. Hi,

I am about to start building my website and wondering if WPML will be able to suit my needs.

I will be building a multi language (French and English) e-commerce store in which my products will be variable products with more than one attribute. My store will have over 500 products.

For example: I can have 1 t-shirt, available in 4 sizes and is available in 5 colors.

    I wanted to know if:

    1) Can I import all my products via CSV, or can I only import the products in 1 language and have to create the other language via the back-end of the site

    2) I will need to use a product swatch plugin to properly represent the different attributes that my products will have. Will I be able to create these attributes in the CSV as well and import it?

Do you have a product swatch plugin that you recommend as it would work perfectly with your plugin?

    3) Based on my needs, which WPML versionis best suited for me? Are there any additional plugins I will need to buy to achieve what I am looking to do? If so, which ones?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    • Hi, Adam!

You didn’t specify what will power your e-commerce store, will it be WooCommerce?

Honestly, WPML is THE plugin for multilingual WooCommerce sites. We created an add-on plugin called WooCommerce Multilingual:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/

This plugin is part of our “Multilingual CMS” package.

For importing content, we created another add-on plugin which works with the WPML All Import plugin. You can read all about how it works, here:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/

This plugin is also part of the Multilingual CMS version of WPML.

The only thing that will need some additional attention are the product attributes. But this is a whole topic in itself and depends on the site and the setup.

So, to sum up, yes, you can import your products and you should get the WPML Multilingual CMS account type. With this package, you get all the add-on plugins you need and will not need to buy any additional ones.

      Kind regards, Dario

  7. Hi team,

I am Youngjae from Procurement team of LINE Plus Corporation.

I was wondering if it is possible to purchase the product through signing a contract style?
Or do you only support online payment by credit card?

    Kind Regards,
    Youngjae

      • Thank you for the response.

So you do not offer signing a contract style of purchase?
We need MSA (Master Service Agreement) and Order Form to purchase from ourside.
If you are unable to offer in this way, I think our business department just have to purchase through online.

        Kind Regards,
        Youngjae

  8. Hello,

I am looking to buy the first year of the CMS plugin but then the subscription needs to be handed over to someone else on a different credit card in Finland for use on the same website. (I am UK based) Is this possible?

    Thanks for your help,

    Jack

    • Hi, Jack!

I think the only thing you would need to do is:
      – Purchase WPML.
      – Disable automatic account renewal.
      – After one year, you will get a notification that the account is about to expire. The “next guy” logs into the account and uses their own credit card to renew.

There is only one important thing to remember:
      – WPML account is tied to an email address, so the “next guy” will have to log in using this address and the password you will get. You will need to share this login with them.

To make absolutely sure, I would kindly suggest to write this same question to our Accounts Manager at hello@wpml.org and she will be able to confirm the workflow I just recommended.

      Kind regards, Dario

  9. Dears,

    • Hi, Astrid!

  10. complete uninstall after trial
dear wpml team, i would love to give wpml a trial, but i can not find any information, if / and how the plug-in can be 100% unistalled – also from the wp-database.
Assuming i try your great plug-in but it does not work with the other setting/plug-in etc – can i be sure to get everything back to the state before i installed wpml ?
    thanks
    best
    tom

    • Hello Tom,
Thanks for your interest. You will be able to remove WPML completely if you don’t want to keep it. Check this article https://wpml.org/faq/language-configuration-problems/. You should skip the re-activating part. If you also need it you can ask for help at our forum and one of our supporters will help you remove WPML completely, before getting the refund.

Hope this helps and that you will stay in the end!

  11. Question: My website is 50/50 danish and english.
    – How does WPML work with that ?
Will it translate what’s in danish to english and vice versa, of will it just leave the english text alone when English is chosen, and leave the danish text alone when Danish is chosen, or will it make its own translatation of everything ?
    – I want a cool and discreet bar at the top, where you can chose between danish and english with the Canadian flag for english.

  12. How does the license work for multisite? Do I need a license for every site within my multisite network? Or do I only need one and active at the network level?

    • Hello!

This is how it works for multisite installs:
      – You can activate and register WPML either network-wide, or on a per-subsite basis.
      – If you activate and register network-wide, you only need one registration site key – however, all sites on the network will have WPML active and will not be able to disable it.
      – If you want to have WPML only on some sites on your multisite install, you will need a separate site key for each of these sites.

Please remember that Multilingual Blog account type allows you to install WPML on 1 site, Multilingual CMS on 3 sites, and Multilingual Agency on an unlimited number of sites.

      Kind regards, Dario

  13. Hi guys, I want to buy WPML and use the feature one domain per language. I’m a new liquidweb client under the service called Managed WordPress. They seems to have no idea on how to handle what is needed for WPML to work the way I need it to work. Is there a how to for nginx server administration so they understand what needs to be done?

If there is no official documentation for Nginx server, can you guys refer me to a hosting company where I won’t face any issues for what I try to do?

    Thank you,

    -Steve

  14. WPML has broken my site,, can’t get debug info… so can’t create new ticket!!!! Why is debug field mandatory????

    • Hi, Zameer!

Do the following to open a ticket:
      1. Under “How can we help you?”, click “Something is not doing what I expect it to”.
      2. Under “Which plugin or feature is your question related to” select “Install and update”.
      3. Write the info for your ticket (description, etc.).
      4. On the bottom, just above the “Submit ticket” button, select the checkbox that says “I cannot provide the WPML debug information and duplicator because of a fatal error or I cannot activate WPML on my site.”

You should be then able to submit your ticket.

      Kind regards, Dario

    • Hello! Yes, of course, WPML supports all major languages and allows you to add any number of languages to your site.

      Kind regards, Dario

  15. Hi,
Is page builder support required to work with Divi?

I’m asking because I noticed in your pricing list that the $79 version includes page builder support.

Will WPML work with my Divi theme if I chose the Multilingual Blog $29 version?
Are there any add-ons mandatory to work with Divi theme?

    thanks!

    • Hi, Mark!

WPML will work with Divi if you choose Multilingual Blog version, however, as you noticed in our pricing page, all the advanced features will be missing.

So, just to make sure, you will not be able to translate content designed with Divi Page Builder.

      Kind regards, Dario

  16. Hello I need to know is my theme Pearl compatibility with WPML and for translate everything like string translation is it enough to have this starter packet?

    • Hello, Tarik!

This is the “Pearl” theme I found in our list of compatible themes:
      https://wpml.org/theme/pearl/

It is compatible, but please note that the “Multilingual Blog” version of WPML (the starter one) does NOT include the WPML String Translation add-on. This is included with the “Multilingual CMS” version.

      Kind regards, Dario

  17. Why this plugin is not listed in the WP repository?

Is WPML fully compatible with Divi? Will I be able to translate Divi modules content without having to duplicate the modules?

What about the content which is inside contact form7 ? Will WPML allow me to translate the contact forms?

  18. Hi

    I have a prebuy question.

    1) does it support Japanese translation
    2) does it have batch translation (translating multiple posts at once)
    3) does it support autotranslation (translate new posts automatically)
    4) does it have a button which i can place on the homepage to switch between languages

    • Hi, Yuki!

      1. WPML supports Japanese but WPML does not auto-translate (machine translate) your contents. You send content to be translated by your translators, or to professional translation services.
      2. WPML allows you to SEND multiple posts for translations (to translators) at once. You can send content to be translated by your own (local) translators or one of the integrated professional translation services.
      3. Again, WPML does not support autotranslation of new posts.
      4. Of course, WPML has a built-in language switcher with multiple options and it is customizable and easy to set up.

Finally, while WPML does not provide machine (auto) translation out-of-the-box, we are currently beta testing the advanced translation editor. It allows you to translate your content and there, you have a button to translate each segment using machine translation. But you still have to manually go through the content, you cannot translate whole posts and pages. You can read more about it here:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/

      Kind regards, Dario

  19. Hi,

I am running a wordpress site with Avada theme. Do I need the Multilingual CMS variant of the WPML plugin which has Page-builders support, or can I go with the Multilingual Blog variant? Does this has support for the Fusion Builder?

    -Martin

    • Hi, Martin!

To enjoy full multilingual features for page builders, including the Avada’s Fusion Builder, you should get the Multilingual CMS version of WPML.

      Kind regards, Dario

  20. I need your help with this problem, i get this “note : Undefined index: languages_order in sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php” if this problem can resolved with Purchase the plugin i will do,

    Thanks!

    • Hello!

This is very weird indeed. I presume you don’t have WPML installed in your site.

WPML is compatible with many themes and plugins but it should never be a required plugin.

If your site is not multilingual than you should not buy WPML just to get rid of a notice. In general, you should not buy plugins just to get rid of a notice.

I suspect this is an issue/bug coming from either your theme or one of the plugins you are using.

Since I cannot help you debug your site, I suggest to:
      – Disable one plugin by one, until the notice goes away. This helps you pinpoint which plugin triggers this is coming from.
      – If it’s not coming from any plugins, try changing the theme and see if the notice goes away.

Once you pinpoint what triggers the notice you should contact the developers and ask them to fix it.

If you have a website developer, contact them and ask them to find where this notice is coming from.

      Kind regards, Dario

  21. Hi!

I’m about to purchase the Multilingual CMS package but I got a question.

I need to test the site on a local server before going live but the license only covers 3 sites.

Can I use the same license on the local an live site? Do I waste 1 license every time I do tests on a local site?

    Thank you!

    • Hi!

Multilingual CMS package allows you to register WPML on 3 sites. These 3 sites then receive automatic updates.

So, for your test site, I suggest downloading and installing WPML, but not registering it. You can update WPML in the test site manually.

This way, you still can have WPML registered on 3 live sites.

      Kind regards, Dario

  22. Hi
