Hi i have purchased lifetime wpml multiple sites and my plugin says its expired. I am trying to contact your technical dept. but it pushes me to re-purchase again wpml plugin. How can we resolve this issue?

As per what I see in our system you have an expired CMS subscription and not a lifetime. You will need to renew in order to get access to support and updates again.
You can install WPML on any WordPress site that you choose. We have clients in China who are using WPML without issues. In order to register WPML on your site, your server will need to contact wpml.org. Our site has no issues with the Chinese firewall. If you’re not sure, I suggest that you run a “ping” from your server to wpml.org.

as explained in the forum thread I had linked before (this one: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/woocommerce-multi-currency-one-language/) it is possible to use WPML plugins with many currencies and to keep the site only in one language but, as mentioned in the same thread, it a kind of “overkill” and you can consider using other plugins instead of WPML to do so (WPML is meant for multi-language sites). Also as explained in that thread, you need to add only one language during the setup or hide other languages later.
I just bought a CMS license of WPML and now trying to use it. I’m pretty novice in this respect so apologies if my questions sound too basic.
1) My first question is, with the Language URL format (Different Language in Directories), do i have to manually create all those directories? I mean, if my sitename folder is abc (abc.com for example, which is wordpress root) , do i have to manually create the language folders in wp-root folder and then manually move all remaining content of wp-root to this newly created language folder? /abc -> /abc/en/all-wp-content, /abc/fr/all-wp-content etc? Or it will be done by WPML itself? Or there is something else which i am missing?
2) What about the default lang scenario, case when language is not there in URL (like en is not present in your wpml.org site)? I do not see URL changing for your site, but in your suggestions (on the forums) of pointing the default to language folder, URL will change and will include even the default language.
3) I am using LearnPress, specifically Eduma theme, bought the license recently. Do you know if WPML is now compatible with Eduma theme? It was not the case 3 years back.

After a day of reading multiple sources+WPML docs, I manage to do a basic setup of my site(Eduma theme+WPML), without any physical lang folder as i thought earlier. But still, i would like to know the following:
2) While setting up WPML, with the Language URL format (Different Language in Directories), I have NOT checked the flag “Use Directory for default language”. What is the use of that flag? What am i going to loose if i decide NOT to select that flag, even for PROD usage?

1. It looks, it isn’t but even themes that are not on our list https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/ might work.
2. Displaying the flag in the language switcher is optional. Please check this site (wpml.org). We have flags in our language switcher but you could have language names instead. You can select the flag later.

My client is looking at moving their ecommerce site to support multiple languages, but has some specific feature requests. I’m wondering if WPML supports the following:
1) Blog posts that are exclusive to one language. The site is currently in english, but for the second language version, they want to have blog posts that don’t have an english counterpart (i.e. they will only be in the second language and won’t show up on the english site) (same goes for blog posts that will only exist in english and not the second language).
2) The site has many ACF content fields, how does WPML handle translations for these fields?

I’m sorry but you cannot. Our ATE editor (which provides machine translations) requires the WPML Translation Management plugin which is not available in the Blog package. You need to buy the CMS version if you would like to use machine translations.
1.If I want to translate my Chinese website to English and Japanese with automatic translation, does the pricing is calculated by Chinese characters?
2.If I use automatic translation more than 2000 words in first month, (for example 4000 words in first month) but I translate less than 2000 words in second month. How much do I need to pay?

If you select “Use Directory for default language” it means it will add the /en in the language url format, if English is the default language.
For example> yoursite.com/en (when English is the default language with the option “Use Directory for default language” enabled)
as opposed to yoursite.com
