  1. Good morning,
I would like to update WPML to the latest version. I currently have the following plugins installed:
    WPML CMS Nav v 1.4
    WPML Media v 2.1.1
    WPML Multilingual CMS 3.0.1
    WPML String Translation 2.0.1
    WPML Translation Management 1.9.1

Will the update be successful after purchasing the Multilingual CMS plugin? In the event of problems, can I count on support or a refund of purchase costs?
    Wordpress version 5.3.2

    Regards
    Adam

    • Hello Adam
yes, the Multilingual CMS package includes all the plugins you have mentioned.
Yes, you can count on our help in case something doesn’t work as expected. If needed you can also share credentials to your site (we have special hidden fields for these) and our supporters can log into your site and check it. Yes, we have 30-day refund: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

  2. Hello,
I ordered a payment yesterday to purchase your package WPML Multilingual CMS. But it still looks pending. Order no 5562025. Have a nice day

    • Hello, in our system we can see your order is still in the pending status. Let me check with our payments administrator to see if your payment has been deposited on our account. If it was not, you will need to start again. Please wait for my update.

  3. Hello, I want to renew my account, but not the WPML agency plan, but the cheaper wpml CMS plan. How do I do this? Can I have the 75% price?

  4. I am interested in buying MULTILINGUAL CMS

Is it possible to buy without the annual fee ?
In case of Canceling Subscription, I do not have access to the initial version too ?

  5. Hello WPML, I wrote before, but haven’t discovered any reply, so sorry if allready answered!

I’m the admin for a small WordPress site, and we are in the process of upgrading from PHP 5.6.40 to PHP 7.3. To prepare for that I have done PHP Compatibility check, and the result from the scan for the WPML Multilingual CMS is: “Unknown: The plugin/theme was skipped as it was too large to scan before the server killed the process.” The other WPML plugins were ok. We use these plugins – that need subscription to be upgraded:
    -WPML CMS Nav, version 2.5.2
    -WPML Media, version 2.5.2
    -WPML Multilingual CMS, version 4.2.7.1
    Questions:
    1) If we buy a subscription for WPML, does that include all these plugins?
    2) If the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin is updated to the newest version, can you ensure that it will be compatible with PHP 7.3+?
Thank you for your time and kind regards, Ingunn

    • Hello,
      1. Yes, the WPML Multilingual CMS package includes all the plugins you listed.
      2. Yes, we are compatible with PHP 7.3+

        • Hello again Agnes

Is it possible to deactivate the old versions of WPML that I listed, upgrade the WordPress site to PHP 7.3, and then purchase the upgrades for WPML?

          Kind regards
          Ingunn

          • Hello,
yes, it’s possible but please note that when you deactivate WPML you will see all posts and pages from your secondary languages mixed with the pages in your primary language. Everything will get back to normal when you activate WPML plugin(s) again.

            • Hello Agnes, thank your for your reply. I deactivated the three plugins, but nothing is mixed. We have a English and Danish articels and frontpage that are connected. English is the main language. Must be other versions that mix the text?

              Kind regards, Ingunn

              • Hello again, now I can see – the content is mixed. Would it help if I unpublish the Danish articles? It is a tiny site.

              • Hello,
it’s difficult to follow up on your issue via comments. Could you please open a ticket in our support forum? Thank you.

                • Hello Agnes, thank you for replying.

This goes in circle though, I would have to buy to have a login for the forum. That is why I wrote here – to know more.

I will see what we do about this.

                  Kind regards, Ingunn

                • Hello,
here, I can help you with pre-sales questions. If I understand correctly, you ask why your content is mixed. If your WPML plugins are active and you still see your content mixed, that’s not normal and it needs to be investigated by someone from our support.

  6. Hi there!

Do I understand it correctly that getting your plugin I will be able to have all my urls translated as well? Currently running WordPress woocommerce and I need my product names to be translated.

    Best,
    Benjamin

  7. Hello, we received the renewal notification for $59 however, we need to update the CC on file. I read the instructions but they weren’t too clear. In order to update the CC we need to cancel the renewal, but once the card on file is updated will we still be able to renew at the $59?

  8. Dear sir
I already purchased a license, and i faced a problem during activating the plugin, i opened a ticket about this problem since more than 4 hours, but until now your support team did not reply or solve my problem

    kindly, i need urgent help.

    ticket no. #5571669

    • Hello,
Sorry to hear you are encountering problems with WPML. Sometimes it takes a while to get the answer, especially when are forum is loaded which is the case now. I’ll ask our supporters about the status of your ticket.

  9. Hello,
I am planning on purchasing the WPML Multilingual CMS package. I need first to know a few things:
I have my WP website in French and I want to translate it in English
    – Does this product translates automatically ALL woocommerce bookings emails? I was working with another translation tool and only “order confirmation” email and “account creation” mails were automatically translated. All the other automatic emails from woocommerce were not translated automatically (invoice, order cancellation, booking cancellation, etc.). Therefore, I am looking for a product that will automatically detect the language used by the client when buying its bookable product (French or English) and send automatically all emails in French or English
    – Does the product give the ability to place the language switcher as a widget in the above the header area?
    – Does the product take a lot space on a website (heavy to run?)
Thanks a lot for your feedback on this.
    Kind regards. Flo

    • Hello Flo,

WooCommerce Booking plugin has been tested by our Compatibility team and you should be able to translate and send your booking emails in the right language. Thus, once an email has been translated correctly, the user should receive it in his language.
      https://wpml.org/plugin/woocommerce-bookings-2/

You can set your language switcher as a widget, but the area available will depend on your theme.
      https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-switcher-options/

Finally, we are always working in improving our performance. So, if you find any issue, don’t hesitate to point it out in our support.

      Regards,
      Andrés

      • Thank you for your answer Andrés,
One more thing, I read that the following are required on the website to use the product with woocommerce bookings :
        WPML
        WooCommerce Multilingual
        WPML String Translation
        WPML Translation Management
        WPML Media
If I purchase the WPML Multilingual CMS package, is everything included in it?
        Thanks for your feedback
        Regards, Flo

        • Andrés, I also need to know :
          – how the translated posts work with a Facebook share button.
Let’s say I have a facebook share button below my post and I am an english reader on a translated into english page of the website. If I hit the FB share button, will it automatically share the english version of the post (or rather the original version in French?)
          – Do all translated pages and posts have a distinctive URL (compared to the URLs in the original language)?
          Thanks for your feedback
          Regards, Flo

          • Hello,
            1. it depends on how the buttons work in your site. Do they come from a plugin? If so, please check if the plugin is compatible with WPML: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/ If those buttons come from one of the popular page builders, there is a good chance you will be able to translate them as well in WPML.
            2. Posts and pages in other languages will have the URL coming from the title of those posts. For example “About us” in Polish means “O nas”, so the translated URL will get mysite.com/pl/o-nas and so on.

          • Hi dear Agnes,

I want to relate to same post as Flo…
Are these plugins that Flo mentioned included also jn WPML Blog Package?

            Aloha,

            Tjasa

            • Hello Tjasa,
no, the plugins Flo listed are not included in the Blog version, only in the Multillingual CMS package.

    • Hello Petra,
I cannot find anything about the Layers sitebuilder (that’s the first time I hear about it) but most likely it’s not compatible with WPML. All page builders that are compatible with WPML are listed here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/

If a page builder is not compatible with WPML it means that you will need to copy your layout created for your primary language to other languages and in case of any updates in your page builder layout, you will need to apply them manually to translated pages as well.

The Outfit theme hasn’t been tested by our team either.

You can start with the Blog version and check how it works in your case and upgrades to the CMS version later (for the difference in purchase price).

  10. It’s been over a week since I’ve reached out trying to join the Translation Service integration program but have not heard back from your team.

Can you have one of your team members reach out to me to confirm the next step in the process?

    Thanks!

  11. Hello,
I have a job board portal. I wonder:

    1. With this plugin would it be possible for users to add jobs and profiles on their languages?
    2. If, for example, one user(Employer) will create a job in Czech on the site, will Google show this job to a searching Candidate in case the request from the Candidate will be in Polish?

    Thanks.

    • Hello Elnara,
thank you for your interest in WPML and your questions.
To answer your questions I need to understand what are jobs in your site because normally, in WordPress, there are no jobs (only posts and pages). Do you use a plugin for it? Do you use a theme that provides jobs? Did you hire a developer to add jobs to your site? Is “Job” a custom post type in your site? Looking forward to your answers.

      • Hello Agnes,
I’ve bought one of the themeforest.net themes – jobcareer created by chimpgroup.
And the support team of chimpgroup recommend me to buy your plugin as it is compatible with the theme.
Therefore I wonder if it is possible to solve my tasks with help of the WPML plugin.

        Best,
        Elnara

        • Thank you for your further information. I can see on the theme page that they say it’s WPML compatible but unfortunately this theme wasn’t tested by our Compatibility Team. I can see that some of our customers use it but I don’t know if it works perfectly fine without any issues. You can try to test it yourself and use our refund policy in case you are not completely satisfied. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

        • Dear Agnes,
thank you for your answers. Please inform, in general, is it possible to receive these results? – 1. to create texts in different languages on the site, 2. to find via google search in one language texts crated on another language?

          • Hello,
yes, in general, every site works like this: you have a page in your primary language, you click on the translate button provided by WPML for each of the languages you have (the ones you chose when setting up WPML) to translate your page to other languages and you translate it (you can also use machine translations if you decide to use our ATE editor). Google should index this translated page soon. And you do the same for other pages. But there might be more elements to translate, not only pages (sliders, buttons, etc) and how you translate these depends on how your page is built and what theme you use.

  12. Hi dear Agnes,

I want to relate to same post as Flo…
Are these plugins that Flo mentioned included also jn WPML Blog Package?

    Aloha,

    Tjasa

  13. We are using Access Ally )https://accessally.com/) on our website to manage online courses for our members. We would like to make our site multi-languages, which would mean translating the pages, the shortcodes and all text that are generated by the plugin.

Plugins like Real-Time Find and Replace (https://wordpress.org/plugins/real-time-find-and-replace/) do not seem to be able to translate some of the Access Ally code so we are wondering if it would work with WPML and how much job it would require on our end.

    • Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML. I’m sorry but we don’t have any information on how WPML would work with Access Ally. None of our customers seem to be using it, it was never tested by our Compatibility Team and it means that you might have issues. If you want, you can buy WPML with our refund policy in mind, test it for 30 days and ask technical questions on our support forum in the meantime.

  14. Please can someone tell me what is going on here?
First, when I was buying WPML I was STRICTLY imput with and than without VAT cuontry prefix and nothing change on price, on my monitor price stay the same -> WITH TAX! And you charge me with tax! even though I completed everything properly, so please return me my money (TAX) back, or extend my subscription for a certain number of months (no problem).
Second, on: “https://wpml.org/account/view_order/” I find that I make four order, but I did not, or at least I wasn’t informed that I was making them, nothing, I was suprised when I find out that I make order, whan? how?.

Please, your service is great but your web page is incredibly confusing and not good, I’m beginning to suspect that it was intentionally made to take VAT money even though you are not entitled to it.
Please, I’m really happy with the service so please solve my problem with tax extend my subscription for tax sum of money.

    Best regards,

    • Hello,
Our admin has checked VIES and it seems that the VAT number used by you is “Invalid for cross border transactions”.
      http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/faqvies.do

the Vat number we used starts with 158… and ends with 441. I don’t want to share the whole number with you via comments. Is this your VAT number? If so, you can ask your accountant for further details about European transactions’ rules.

  15. Hello,

i searched docs but could not find the answer. I have plugin which stores content in its own tables, not utilizing WP’s custom posts mechanism. Is it possible to make it work with multilingual content using WPML? Or (if not) maybe there are some resources explaning how it can be done?

  16. hello have any questions?
Can I buy the blog version and after the site is translated can I upgrade to another version?
the difference from the blog version to the cms is only the number of sites from 1 to 3 everything else works the same?
I can use the multilingual blog ,for the theme below
I use the wp rentals theme (https://help.wprentals.org/)Is it possible to translate full theme in its entirety including login and signup forms?
    Thanks

    • Hello,
yes, you can upgrade later for the difference in the purchase price and all you have will work as so far (the CMS versions include additional plugins). If your theme is on this list: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/ it means you will be able to translate everything. If it’s not on the list, you would need to check with the theme’s authors about translating the login and signup forms.

  17. Hi
    Before to purchase.
Can you please inform me about the “A different domain per language”
If we setup a different URL for an other language, what is the impact for the SEO
    – does this setting offer the possiblitie to have 2 different sitemaps?
    – in my case its a directory, for example does the link for the images will be the same or different?
in my cae I use a subdomaine to amazon S3 for images
does this setting will keep for example: SubDom1.images….. for both or possible to have
SubDom.domaine1.images & SubDom.domaine2.images when they change the languages?

    – does it only switch the language or we can have 2 differents home pages, logo

or in fact its just 2 different wordpress with 2 differents hosting…

    Best

    • Hello Gred,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
When you use WPML everything will sit in one WordPress and in one database (regardless of what option you choose for different languages: subfolders, subdomains, separate domains), which makes the content management easier, and also pairing the languages automatically (done by WPML) will make Google and other search engines happy.

From the user perspective (both the user who edits the content and the visitor) there is no difference in terms how you work with and see your pages (only the URL format will vary).

I’m not an SEO expert and cannot say much on how choosing different domains will improve your SEO but setting up WPML with different domains request some extra work, which is explained in this doc:
      https://wpml.org/tutorials/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

In the meantime, I will consult some of your questions with our my colleagues who have a in-depth understanding of all those nuisances you are asking about (images, sitemaps etc).

    • Hello Greg,

Here’s what one of our WPML experts would add:

If a different domain per language is set up, then:
      – The sitemaps should also be different – the sitemap with the translation for language X will be on the domain assigned for that language, the original one – on the domain assigned for the original language and so on for each of your languages. This also depends on the plugin that is used, here so I talk about about WordPress SEO (Yoast SEO) plugin.

I am not sure about the question about the directory (if I guess correctly we talk about images there and no longer for sitemaps?). The images should be the same in terms of files, but different entries in the database and it very much depends on the software (plugin or custom code) that is responsible for them right now so that they are on S3.

It is possible to have 2 different home page content (well it is a translation, but depending on theme/custom theme/child theme, you can assign relatively different contents – it is all up to customization… You can have different page templates per language for an instance…) and logo, but it is a single WordPress on a single hosting.

I hope that this helps. The questions are a bit broad to give just a straight yes or no answer.

  18. Dear Support,

Im still not a client, for my info can you tell me where I can check the last versions available of CMS multilingual package?

To know if that is the latest versions:
    WPML Multilingual CMS 4.3.6
    String Translation 3.0.6
    Translation Management 2.9.4
    Media Translation 2.5.5
    WooCommerce Multilingual 4.7.7
    Sticky Links 1.5.0
    CMS Navigation 1.5.2

    thanks,
    regards,
    Joaquín

  19. Hello,
I ordered a payment for WPML Multilingual Blog on 2nd March 2020, Invoice Number: 5602493. But it is still pending.

Actually I need wpml for a second web project, so I would like to upgrade to Multilingual CMS version for 79$. Can you cancel my first order – which is still pending – and switch it to Multilingual CMS?
    Thanks, best regards
    Judith

    • Hello Judith,
Mercedes from the Admin team. The order was pending which means we have not charged you any money and it cannot be reused. I have trashed it. You will need to log in to your account and place a new order for a new CMS subscription. If you need to request a new passsword you can do it with your mail here https://wpml.org/account/lost-my-password/

Let me know if you have any other questions.

  20. Hi, i’m currently working on a relaunch of a website containing the WPML Plugin. Seeing that I plan to reuse the plugin, I would like to implement the plugin on the current dev-website so everything can be prepared before the publish.

Can I do this without buying a 2nd license?

    Thank you for your time

    • Hello Niklas,
yes, you can do this using only one registration key. If you use the Blog package, you will be able to register only one domain but registration is required only to receive (and do) automatic updates directly from your WP dashboard. You can always unregister your production domain for a few minutes (the time needed to update your plugins), register the staging one, update the plugins and then register the production once again. Or vice versa.

  21. Hello,
I’m interested in the purchase of WPML. I’d like to ask you if it’s possible to change the translation provided by this plugin. For instance, if I want to insert my own version of an article translated from English to Italian, can I do that? Or do I have to stick with the version translated by WPML? Many thanks.

    • Hello, WPML doesn’t add its own translations so what you expect is the default behavior. WPML provides the machine translations only as an option, and you need to enable our ATE editor to use them. By default, you add your own translations.
