I’d like to subscribe to the multilingual agent program, but I’m not sure whether the domain name registration is valid for one year or permanent use? If the multilingual agent program has been in use for more than a year, but I have not renewed it, can I continue to register other domain names?
Hello,
an active subscription is required to register new domains. Registration is also needed to use our support forum and new versions of our plugins. The prices you see here: https://wpml.org/purchase/ are for the first year. If you don’t cancel your subscription, you will get a discount for the next year and you can see the prices in the “Account renewal per year” row of that table.
To sum up, you can still use WPML plugins without an active subscription but you won’t be able to: register domains, update WPML plugins, ask questions on our support forum. I hope it helps.
Tried several times to order the WPML module. I never received the verification code for the payment at my mobile, so the payment can not be approved. Can we order the WPML module in another way? Spent already hours on ordering the WPML module…
We are a group practice that works in five languages. Some 20 pages in three languages at present.
Will be 10 pages and 200 blog posts in five languages in the future.
The website is on WordPress and Yoast SEO. Yoast recommended your plugin.
Currently we had been using Polylang. What is the best way to switch from Polylang to WPML?
Uninstall Polylang and fix or …?
TIA

Hello!
If you don’t pay for the renewal you can keep using WPML on your site, as it is installed. The translation will not be lost but you will not receive updates or support.
Okay one more question. I just found info on auto translation.
QUESTION: If I translate 500,000 words for $72 and no longer need to translate anymore word on my website, I will then cancel the Machine Translation credit subscription. The following month will all the words already translated disappear?

Hello, yes, you send your jobs to translation, then you go to the Translation Tools tab and check the table with info about job and how many words/credits (you can send jobs without actually translating and spending credits) to get that estimate.
Hi Agnes just one question about the browser detection, to date I have been using free translate services such as Translatepress and Conveythis who do not offer browser detection unless you upgrade , google does not detect or direct people to the English or Spanish version based on their browser language, is that because they are free versions? As long as the browser detection definatly works with WPML I am ready to sign up.
Thanks again Victor
Hello Krzysiek,
thank you for your interest in WPML. When you translate your Divi pages using WPML, you translate only strings (texts), you don’t need to do anything without the layout and the styling, all version languages will use the same layout/styling. So you need to make sure that you have handled responsiveness correctly for your primary language and it will work fine for other version languages. I hope it helps.
I found information in your presentation, that WPML is able to translate even “invisible” parts of service (eg. mails sent by system). Is it possible, if I use Marketing Automation software of GroundHogg, WooCommerce and LearnDash, that my newsletters, transaction mails, course mails or automated cycles of mailing from this systems (integrated with GroundHogg) could be translated automatically and sent to my customers in all proper languages ?
However, I’m not familiar with GroundHogg but I think this marketing system handles your content out of WordPress which means that WPML won’t be able to translate it.
I hope this helps.
The problem is responsiveness is correct for my current language, but it won’t be for new ones in few sections on the home page and few other pages.
Are you sure there is no way to make minor changes is text size, margins and other in other language page versions? I asked Divi support some time ago and their answer was it’s different page for other language, so it can be done pretty easy. Od course it’s not their plugin, but the answers are very different.
after reading the about section of wpml, it is an interesting plugin for WordPress. One important question is, sometimes the translator can not identify the depth of the content and while translating change the idea of the content. is wpml can make overcome this part?
Hello,
In WPML, after applying machine translations you can edit them manually. WPML uses the following translation services/tools: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs and you are limited to what those tools offer.
Hi, I’m working on a test site and would like to try wmpl.
If I purchase it, is it possible to first run it on the test site, and then move it to the production page.
on the purchase page you have: 2000 credits between any language pair every month
Hi,
1) how much a credits cost, and 1 credit is worth in words to translate?
2) I need to know how to calculate my monthly cost for using WPML if I do tanslations for other languages on my wordpess.
I am afraid that there is going to be a hidden cost (monthly fee) to make it work.
I am creating a social network and there will be a lot of material to translate. also we are going to use a lot of creative common material. like the wikipedia.
There no hidden costs. Before using the translation words you will see a summary of the number of words/credits to translate. Please note that you can cancel your words subscription anytime (and the translated content remains on your site) so what you can do is register, see how it works (you will get 2,000 credits for free anyway) and in case you are not completely satisfied you can cancel your words subscription without any harm.
We build multilingual websites for our clients.
Each client has a separate WordPress instance.
Do we have to purchase one license per wordpress or 1 license (Multilingual Agency) can be deployed on each WP instances?
We have been using WPML for our bilingual website and just recently, I can’t add translation to new pages. Is this something to do with the license or is it a technical issue?
Hello, I haven’t found any user in our system with the email you posted this comment with, so I couldn’t determine if your subscription has expired. If you still have an active subscription, please open a ticket on our support forum.
Thank you for the email. Yes, WPML is registered with that email. You can ask the site owner for the password to his/her WPML account and then open a ticket on our support forum. Or you can buy WPML for yourself. Only logged in users can open new tickets on our support forum.
The WPML license is not the reason because the license of your client is still active (unless we are talking about not getting machine translations for which you would need a separate subscription, just for words). I don’t know the specifics of your problem/site and it’s hard to say what’s going on and what is the cause. That’s why we have the support forum. Our supporters can log into your site and check the cause of your issues. Sometimes issues happen due to conflicts with other plugins. If you want, you can provide a more detailed description of what exactly doesn’t work, what you do, and what you are expecting to happen and maybe we could tell more. What you described is too generic to say anything.
Yes, it’s possible to submit a question via this form: https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ But please note that it can take longer to get a reply because only one person has access to this form.
i should translate the checkout pages in woocommerce, especially shop, cart and checkout. This site is available in two languages at the moment, hungarian and english, so customers should also see these pages in the right language they select. What is more, they will also be able to pay in HUF, EUR and USD. We will set fixed price for each product in different currencies, so we dont want to use automatic currency conversion or something like that.
We are a non-profit organization in Venezuela and would like to see if by any chance you offer any special pricing for npos?. We would like to translate our page to english so we could have more reach, please let us know when you can, thank you!
I created the website and using the motorpress Hotel booking plugin.
I translated everything via another plugin but apparently not everything can be translated.
So I wanted to be sure that if I bought your translate plugin everything can be translated.
Thing I have an issue with for translation:
– accomodation
– widget with the search availibility
– services (diensten)
– Payment method
– booking details
Can you assure me that everything is translatable.
And can it be combined with WP Multilang plugin. I have already translated all the pages and I prefer not to begin from scratch.
Hello Shana,
You cannot use WPML in combination with another translation plugin.
About MotoPress Booking we tested it and it works well with WPML https://wpml.org/plugin/motopress/
We are interested in the WPML plugin for a woocommerce website but we have couple of questions regarding the features.
1) Does the plugin allow importing bulk prices for different currencies? Will those prices change when the user changes the language of the website?
2) Is there a way to hide products that do not have USD price but have UK price? We have a different product catalog per country and we would like to be able to adjust the products when the user changes country.
WP All import costs $149 which we are not willing to pay (otherwise we cannot import product variations). Are there any free alternatives for mass product import for products with variations?
Following my previous question, I am interested in bulk uploads using the default Woocommerce Import plugin or any free extension that is included with the WPML CMS version.

Hello Addo,
You can pay with your debit/credit card directly by choosing Alternative payment method.
Let me know of any other questions.

Hello, no, the translated words won’t disappear, even if you cancel your credit subscription.
Hello,
you can use machine translations (please check the lists of supported languages and translation services: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs). But please note that it won’t happen fully automatically. First, you need to choose what pages, posts (and other content) you want to translate. This video will help you understand how it works: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
You need the Multilingual CMS package.

Your previous question was awating moderation. Let me say it again, your translated words stay inside your database and won’t disappear.
hello,
regarding this page:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
can i use my own google api translate key and not be charged?
Hello,
I don’t think this is possible but let me double-check with our developers. I’ll keep you posted.
Our devs confirm that this is not possible.
do you have word amount estimator in the plugin, so i will know how much +/- what package translation i need to buy?
Hello, yes, you send your jobs to translation, then you go to the Translation Tools tab and check the table with info about job and how many words/credits (you can send jobs without actually translating and spending credits) to get that estimate.

Hi Victor,
I don’t know how the redirections you are describing work but if you would like to test our browser detection feature, please do the following:
1. Go to this site: https://discover-wp.com/site-types/gyms-and-trainers/
2. Create test site and make sure to choose this option: “The site will be multilingual”
3. A site using WPML plugins will be installed and you will get access to the backend.
4. Then go to WPML -> Languages and see how it works.
This documentation will also help:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/automatic-redirect-based-on-browser-language/
Hello,
I’m preparing to make this website multilingual, but before I got a question about possible changes in CSS code to certain elements on my website.
I’m using Divi, so if it’s possible to change that in Front End editor that would be great.
My biggest concern is about product pages like that and the way the are made to be responsive: http://floodline.pl/urzadzenia/centrale/floodline-24-x/
Regards, Krzysiek
Hello Krzysiek,

Hello James,
please note that those “invisible” parts are not translated automatically. You can apply/use machine translations but you need to ‘send’ your content to our ATE editor. This video will help you understand how it works: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
I don’t think it will work as you would expect (with GroundHogg) but let me double-check with my team.
Hello James,
WPML is able to translate contents and emails created in WordPress, that covers WooCommerce and LearnDash which are also compatible with our plugin.
https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
However, I’m not familiar with GroundHogg but I think this marketing system handles your content out of WordPress which means that WPML won’t be able to translate it.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
We build multilingual websites for our clients.
Each client has a separate WordPress instance.
Do we have to purchase one license per wordpress or 1 license (Multilingual Agency) can be deployed on each WP instances?
Thanks a lot for your feedbacks
John
Hello John,
you need a separate key for each WP instance (the only exception is using WordPress Multisite, for which you would need only one key).
So if you have more than 3 sites you need the Multilingual Agency package which allows you to register and generate as many keys as you want.
Thanks a lot !
We will take an agency package then

This is so disappointing. I fully expected this plugin to automatically translate all pages with the option for editing the translations.
Does it auto translate or not? And I’m not interested in 2000 credits.
No, it doesn’t auto-translate. You can use machine translations as an option to speed up your translation process.
