Hello,
if you didn’t save your plugin on your hard drive or on a website, you cannot access them without an active subscription. But even if you could, it is not safe because WordPress has changed and the old versions might not work with the recent WordPress.
A company purchased our WPML license for us and is now taking it back. We’d like to purchase a new license in-house and replace the license without losing our current translated content on our website.
I’d suggest that you delete the domains you have registered on this first account (The one that will be deactivated) and then create the new account and register the domains again. You can do that from this link: https://wpml.org/account/sites/
As a next step, go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial, and deregister the site since it will have the “old” license. then register it again using this method: https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#register
That’s it! you will not lose any translations or anything since all the translations made have and will always belong to the site.

I want to use this plugin for my multilanguage website. I use a pop-up on my website made with Elementor Pro to collect emails for my newsletter. I have a multilanguage newsletter so the important part is that a user can sign up in a form of their language and that this user will be placed in the right audience group.
I know there are multiple ways of doing this with popup conditions. Does this plugin make separate pages in the backend in which I can place separate tags? So I have an English version with the tag “ENG” and a Spanish version with the tag “ESP”? So I can set the right popup conditions so the Spanish popup with the Spanish linked signup form is only shown on the Spanish pages. To make sure that when a user chooses his language everything works together as it should.
Hello,
First, let me explain how WPML works by default and then what options you have to display different content for the same page but for each language.
When you translate a page, WPML creates a new (separate) page in a specific language. For example, About our company becomes “Sobre nuestra compañía” in Spanish (with the sobre- nuestra-compania slug in the Spanish URL). Now, when you open the Spanish page for editing it will open not in the Elementor but in our special translation editor where you can only translate strings (texts) coming from your page. It means, that you can only change the texts but you cannot replace other elements. But there are workarounds for this. For example, you can tell WPML that you want to translate a specific page independently. And then you can change whatever you want. I hope that helps.

Hello,
I’m a toolset user.
I want to create a site for the Southeast Asian region.
I would like to pay attention to the following points as a countermeasure against seo.
1.ccTLD (domain) → gTLD (.com or .net)
2. International targeting designation in Search Console → Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia
3. hreflang statement → gTLD, so do not set
4. Server location → Scheduled in Japan
5. Other information → Use default Japanese for phone numbers, addresses, languages, etc.
Question 1
I’m reading the site content of WPML.
When using WPML, I think I don’t have to worry about the above five, is that wrong?
Question 2
With WPML, I can leave the general default language (Japanese) to machine translation without any problems.
Question 3
With WPML, I prefer to manually translate only special languages (products, merchandise, etc.) or ask a professional translator (for a fee).
Question 2
With WPML, I can leave the general default language (Japanese) to machine translation without any problems.
Yes, you can but you can also edit automatic translations if needed.
Question 3
With WPML, I prefer to manually translate only special languages (products, merchandise, etc.) or ask a professional translator (for a fee).
Yes, you can choose the “Translate some” option when setting up WPML which means that you can choose what to translate automatically and what manually. You can even mix automatic and manual translations on the same page.
We talked about the option to tell WPML to translate a page independently. Is this something that we can do within the plugin or does this has to be done by a moderator from your end? To explain more I’m working for a magazine website. Creating around 4 articles a week and having always around 250 articles online. All of this needs to be multi-language and need to have different popups, offers and language-specific opt-ins > they go directly inside language groups. because of our multi-language newsletter. So all of these pages need to be translated manually and get the right tags. I guess then all of them need to be translated independlety. How will this look like in the backend? And what does it mean for the backend structure, (to see easily what has to be translated and is translated already)?
If you are open to manual translations, duplicating a page/post and then translating it independently (without using our so-called Advanced Translation Editor) seems to be the best good option. Please note that the drawback of independent translation for content-rich pages is that if you update the original layout you need to do the same change in your translation (for each language). You ask how this will in the backend. You will have multiple copies on the same page/post, each in a different language. The same for the front-end. Yes, if you update the original content it will be indicated with a special icon that the other pages need to be updated.
It turns out that Elementor popups can be translated the same way we translate pages and posts you can try both ways. Our WPML supporters just confirmed that.
Hello Ben, yes, you can, but please note that the $39-package has many limitations. We access payments via credit cars but you need to choose “Use a different payment processor” on your checkout.
Hi there,
I like to translate my website. I will need 1’110’000 credits for the translation of the whole page (370’000 words with deepl). How can I solve this? I just saw the limit for monthly translations is 500’000 credits. Do I need to buy 3x 200’000 credits for 180$ additionally or is there a better way?
Thanks for your reply Pascal
Hello there,
Yes, that would be the fastest way to get all the credits you need. Otherwise, you can contact us in our support forum and we can increase your monthly limit credit.

Thank you for your reply yesterday.
My question was ambiguous, so I’ll sort it out and ask again.
Please give me an answer.
Please tell me about multilingual SEO using WPML.
1. Build a website with WordPress, Toolset, WPML, Japanese, Astra (thema).
2. I want to send information to Vietnam (Vietnamese), Thailand (Thai), Malaysia (Malay), Indonesia (Indonesian).
I am thinking of SEO for a multilingual site that meets the above conditions, so I would like to ask for advice.
Following Google’s rules, I’ll remember to make the following settings:
“GTLD (com,net) + GoogleSearchConsole (International Targeting) ”
Question 1.
I make heavy use of custom fields, categories and taxonomies in Toolset. The user transitions to many pages.
Is the URL (tags, categories, etc.) at that time displayed in the translation language?
Question 2.
If the above site transitions in the translation language, I think that the seo plugin should be set in Japanese, isn’t it a mistake?
Question 3.
The site menu needs to be translated into the target language in advance in WPML, right?

Hello,
WPML allows you to assign a separate domain per language but some extra work on your server is required:https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/
hreflang tags are created automatically for each of your languages – to see some examples check the HTML source of this very page (wpml.org) or one of its subpages: https://wpml.org/de/purchase/ruckerstattung/
It doesn’t matter where your server is located.
I’m not sure what you mean by using Japanese for phone numbers, addresses, languages, etc. Please elaborate.
Yes, you can but you can also edit automatic translations if needed.

Hello Yoshihiko,
Let me try to answer your questions.
1. Depending on how your site is created, many of the URL’s won’t be displayed by default in our Advanced Translation Editor. However, you will be able to find them as explained here:
https://wpml.org/announcements/2020/02/translating-links-with-advanced-translation-editor/
2. I would say that the you should set your SEO for the default site language. Then you can start translating those contents toward other languages.
3. You can start translating your menu once you want to make secondary languages accessible. You can find information about it here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/
