In theory, you can because we allow using WPML on sites with expired subscriptions (as in your case) and signing up for pay-as-you-go doesn’t check the status of your WPML subscription but in case of issues, it might be difficult to figure out what is going on, especially if your site uses outdated WPLM versions.
Hi, just wanted to confirm that for MultiLingual CMS – 3 production 9 development- means I can use it for 3 web pages, each with a max of 9 languages.
Is this correct?
Hello Cristina, you can use WPML on 12 websites in total (3 plus 9) for as many languages as you want on each. Please note that if you add too many languages you will quickly run out of the free translation credits you received when buying WPML. So please add just a few languages.
I have the plan to implement WPML on my multisite, Firstly I need to know how many licenses must buy for my site. If I use schemas like this: – noenics.com/shop/id and noenics.com/shop/en
– noenics.com/kitchen/id and noenics.com/kithenc/en
– noenics.com/blog/id and noenics.com/blog/en
– noenics.com/magazine/id and noenics.com/magazine/en
thank you for your advance
You need 1 license for 1 WordPress site.
If all these links you share belong to the same WordPress site/installation, you need only one site. But if you need automatic translations and you use page builders and some plugins such as Revolution Slider or plugins for Forms, you will need the Multilingual CMS package anyway.

Hi WPML,
We are looking into multilingual solution for our platform. Since our website uses BuddyBoss Plugin and Theme, we are keen on looking into integration of WPML along BuddyBoss. We found a plugin called BuddyPress Multilingual for WordPress. But this Plugin requires WPML subscription to work. Can you please provide us with WPML CMS trial subscription? so that we can try this plugin out and we would revisit on subscription if it fits our usecase. Thanks
I am planning to do localization of my WP site with the help of WPML. I want to know how can I know if the theme is 100% compatible and all the strings and texts will be captured by the system. Is there any SPOC where I can get that checked from.
Hello, we don’t offer any free demo/sandbox site if that’s what you need. You would need to buy WPML keeping our 30-day refund policy in mind to test it.
November 17, 2022 my subscription ends. I want to extend it in advance. Because automatic payment may be blocked by my bank. How can I manually renew my subscription?
Hello,
you would need to do the following:
1. First switch to manual renewals
2. Then you will be able to update it in advance.
Please go to your wpml.org account and click Modify button and then Cancel Subscription, then click the second option to switch to manual renewals.
Then, refresh the screen and you will be able to renew it in adavnce – there will be a butotn that says “Renew for another year”
Hi, I bought a lifetime license in 2014, and have not used it for a while. Now I need it again, and tried to log in, but it seems my account is gone? I have sent you a mail at purchases@wpml.org with the details of my payment, including the invoice number++. Would appriciate if you could fix this asap as I need it again.
Hello Paul,
WPML is compatible with WooCommerce. It allows you to translate your WooCommerce products to other languages. The Shoptimizer theme hasn’t been tested by our Compatibility Team but I found a WPML client who is using it with WPML: https://usaria.pt/
I see that WPML comes with over 40 languages…. but please give full list of those languages.
Do you have live demo site to see it’s actually working process. Do it is compatible to translate woocommerce products (names, descriptions and so on)?
One of my clients is considering to buy WPML. He works with a main domain and a subdomain. Do you see that as one or two different websites? The main domain and the subdomain do need translation.
Hello Joaquín,
you need one registreton key for one WordPress installations. If these two domains use separate WOrdPress installs, yes, you need to keys (the CMS package allows you to reister up to 3 sites).
I have imported an HTML site into WordPress using WP Site Importer. My website is a bit peculiar, because some of my posts are in Danish, some are in English, some are in Spanish, and some of the posts are in 2 or 3 of those languages. Can WPML manage this in a smart way?
Hello Hendrik,
thank you for your interest in WPML. Are you interested in using automatic translation? If so, how many pages do you have?
Let me explain your options:
a) if you want to manually translate your pages – no problem at all.
b) if it’s okay for your to click the “Translate automatically” button for each of these pages manually – no problem at all
c) if you want your pages to be translated automatically at once – you would need to follow some special steps.
Please let me know which option you are interested in and I will provide more details.
Hi,
I would like to know if I can use Multilingual Blog for a website that has various versions, like: website.com/2012, website.com/2014, website.com/2016 etc. Will that work? And do you have special pricing for non-profits?
Thank you,
Eva
Hello Eva,
the Multilingual Blog package doesn’t provide automatic translations at all. You need to manually translate your content. Is this okay for you? I’m not sure what you mean by website.com/2012, website.com/2014, website.com/2016 – are these separate WordPress sites?
We help non-profit organizations and you would need to apply for a free license via this form. But before you do, please let me understand your case better.
Yes, you can use your credit card. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.
Thank you for your fast reply, Agnes.
Actually we already used WPML for our website(s) at illustratiebiennale.nl. All the content has been manually translated. We organize a festival every 2 years and then make a new website for that actual year, like illustratiebiennale.nl/2020, illustratiebiennale.nl/2018 etc. Now, we had a problem with WPML on some of these websites, and I had to deactivate the plugin. I think the subscription has to be renewed, and I would like to know if we can use Multilingual Blog, just to keep the sites working since we don’t update the older versions anymore.
I hope this is understandable 🙂
Thank you!
Eva
Eva, thank you for providing some details about your case. I found your website in our system and it was previously registered with the “Multilingual CMS” type of subscription. In this case, you should buy/get the same type of subscription. If your site had been updated to WordPress 6.1 but you haven’t updated WPML you are likely to have critical issues as many other clients who updated WordPress but haven’t updated WPML. If you have been using the free version of WPML we offer for nonprofits, please mention that in when filling out the form I provided.
I tried your plugin its working fine on frontend but in backend we saw some difference in WooCommerce Reports its not showing all currency orders only showing default currency report.
Is there anything I missed in settings or any solution we need to test this before taking subscription
Hello,
are you referring to the free version we are providing here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/
If so, please note that the paid version provides the same functionality in terms of currencies. How the premium version differs is it allows you to translate products to different languages. If you have a question/issue related to the free version, please open a ticket on the free support forum and Andreas C. will handle it.
Hello Alejandro,
You will need access to the WPML account in order to check its status and see if it needs renewing.
Do you have the login details? If not, I can check with the url where WPML is installed.
Can you let me know the url?
If you don’t want to post it here, please drop me a line directly to hello@wpml.org and I will check.
We love this plugin and recommend/implement this on our client’s behalf frequently.
When doing this for our clients, we typically set up the account using their information including email address, but then are not able to access the download to implement immediately, we have to wait for the client to set up the account through the confirmation email.
Hello Leah,
We also have the Agency subscription, which will allow you to register unlimited urls. After the set-up process, you can transfer the renewal payment to your client, and also earn a commission from us.
Check here https://wpml.org/purchase/transferring-account-renewals-to-your-clients/

” thank you for your interest in WPML. Are you interested in using automatic translation? If so, how many pages do you have?

I don’t think you understand my question. I am not talking about whether to do automatic or manual translation of new pages and posts in the future. I am asking you if WPML can manage my existing pages/posts in a smart way, even though some posts are only posted in Danish, some are only posted in English, some are only posted in Spanish, and some are posted in 2 or 3 languages.
The thing is that some of my content is most relevant to a Danish audience, and some of it is relevant internationally. 🙂
But if it is any help:
I very much distinguish between manual and automatic translation. On my website pages/posts that are directly accessible have to be written or translated by humans.
But I would be happy to have a “Translate” button, that explicitly creates machine translations, but that is not what I am asking about now.
Hello Henrik,
thank you for clarifying.
WordPress itself doesn’t allow you to separate posts/pages by language. They are all just posts, even if technically they can be posted in different languages. When you add WPML, by default your existing posts will be considered English, provided you selected English as your site’s default language. BTW, WPML will assume that the language of your WordPress site – set in your WordPress settings – is the default language of your site. I’m not sure if your site’s language is English or Danish at the moment. Suppose it’s English. So, you install WPML, English will be selected as your site’s primary language and WPML will ask you to add other languages (Danish etc) as so-called secondary languages. All your existing posts will become English posts after installing WPML, even if they “sound” Danish (use Danish words). If you want to change some of them and tell WPML, look, this and that post is actually Danish, not English, you need to do the following:
1. Open that post/page for editing
2. In your WordPress editor, head to the right-hand sidebar of your page (where you see your WordPress attributes for pages)
3. Use the Language section and the Langugae of this post dropdown and manually set the language to Danish.
Of course that Language section is something added by WPML.
I hope that helps. BTW, the reason I asked you whether or not you need manual or automatic translation is WPML by default offers you the “Translate Everything” mode and unless you switch to “Translate some” it will automatically start translating your existing pages. Now, when I know you don’t need that, please use the “Translate some” option when setting up WPML. Let me know if this answers yuor question and if I can provide any other help.
Hi Agnes,
We finally decided not to continue our bi-lingual web sites, so we won’t need an update of WPML anymore. Thank you for the info provided!

Can I use only “activate pay as you go”, without active subscription?
In theory, you can because we allow using WPML on sites with expired subscriptions (as in your case) and signing up for pay-as-you-go doesn’t check the status of your WPML subscription but in case of issues, it might be difficult to figure out what is going on, especially if your site uses outdated WPLM versions.

Hello,
I need to translate my site (sites). At first a new woocommerce site neolamp.eu. I would like to make it with https://shoptimizerdemo.commercegurus.com/
I am thinking of WPML CMS licence.

You can aslo find this list useful:
