  1. Thank you very much!
I think I only have one more question:
I have a top banner image which incorporates text, so there is one image for each language.
I currently use the Sidney Theme (but I don’t have to use that theme). Their support said that in order for Sidney to choose the right banner image on each post, I need a language switcher plugin. Does WPML provide this functionality?

    • If the image comes from the post/page body you can easily “translate” or replace it for other languages. If it comes from some other parts I’m not sure but since WPML is compatible with the Sidney Theme it should be possible too. You might need to install and enable the Media Translation plugin (included in the CMS package).

  2. My license ended on November 17th. I extended it manually in advance today (November 15). I received 120,000 credits for transfers. But my old credits that were in the account disappeared. How can I get them back? Do they expire when you buy a new license? They don’t accumulate??? Then I urgently want to return the license so that I get my old translation credits back. Thank you.

    • Hello, the 25% discount applies to the price of the WPML package. I understand what you mean. I will pass your feedback over to our management to see if there is anything we can do about it.

    • Your last purchase (renewal) happened on November 15, 2022 so you have 29 days to request a refund. It takes a few days to process a refund. Is there any reason you need these credits by tomorrow? What happens if you don’t get these credits on time?

  3. I currently am using the WEGLOT solution. We have outgrown our current plan, and I am a bit frustrated with their service and pricing model.

Please send me info on WPML versus WEGLOT. Also, help me understand how you charge. Number of total words translated? Number of languages? Number of translated words per month?

Finally, we are a 501C3. Do you offer a different pricing schedule for non-profits?

    Thank you,

    Gary

    • Hello Gary,
WPML works slightly differently than Weglot (to your advantage). Let me explain. If you translate something automatically using WPML, these translations are saved in your WordPress database (and additionally in the so-called translation memory). This means that once something is translated, you don’t have to pay for a post-translation (for example, the next time you enlighten the page or access the site). This is not the case with Weglot. We offer two types of translation credits: so-called Pre-paid (purchased in advance in packages) or so-called Pay-as-you-go – where you plug in your credit card and pay only for the critters you’ve used. The second option is cheaper. You can read about both here:
      https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

The best thing you can do is to use our interactive calculator to estimate how much it will cost you – to see the calculator please go to the page I provided above and click on the section titled How much does automatic translation cost? in the FAQ.

Non-profit organizations can apply for a free WPML license but if you need more than the 90,000 credits we give for free in the package, you will still have to pay for it, even if we grant you a free license. And that’s because we also pay the moolah to services like Google Translate and DeepL.

  4. It’s okay if they (loans) can be returned later. I thought they would disappear after the extension. Since under the terms of the renewal, the account can have up to 120,000. And this means that no more than 120,000. If you can solve the problem without returning the purchase, then please cancel my return request. And nothing if the loans that have been come in later. Thank you.

    • Stanislav, how many (unused) credits did you have before your renewal? We are checking internally on what we can do for your case.

  6. Sorry for posting twice. There is no editing here, and I found an error: loans/credits. So I fixed it and wrote again. Sorry.

  7. Hi!

I have a customer who I suspect does not know if they have a valid license or not. How do I find out?
I’d rather not write their name or site in plain open.

  8. Hi

    How are you doing ?

We want to buy the 39 USD plan for our translating need for this website http://www.samconflictresolution.com

The website initial/default language : english

    Second language : french.

Please, do you mind confirming the following points ?

    1. We have the ability to translate from english to french by ourselves.

    2. With the 39 USD plan, is it possible to manually translate and edit the translated french language text.

    3. The website content translated from english to french, can we modify edit (human translation) with the 39 USD plan ?

    4. I believe wpml 39 USD plan will translate automatically the website text ? Then we will edit the translation.

We also have the Agency subscription, which will allow you to register unlimited urls. After the set-up process, you can transfer the renewal payment to your client, and also earn a commission from us.
    Check here https://wpml.org/purchase/transferring-account-renewals-to-your-clients/

Can you please provide more instructions for how the agency subscription works? if our agency is paying the yearly fee, will all added on purchasers once set up also have to pay that yearly fee or is it kind of like first year is free? We are trying to determine the benefit of undertaking that cost when currently we dont undertake any cost.

  10. I’m providing a service to the customer, the same as I informed the email, name and website. I’m having trouble connecting the plugin to the WP dashboard.
My client does not know the password and login used to register on your platform.
I need to identify his registration and change the data to connect the tool to his website

  12. Hi,

Thanks a lot for replying.Im satisfied. I still have a comment to make based on the below response from your team.

Here is your response to my ticket.

“Hi! The Blog version allows you to translate your site manually, as well as edit the translations. So, you will be fine with 1/2/3. However, it does not give you access to our automatic translation feature. See here https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/

    My questions are as follows:
    1. I do not need automatic translation services as i Can manually translate the entire content of my website from default language english to french.I do not have a blog but i do have a complete WordPress website with few pages and some menus. Can the 39 USD plan allows me to login to my WordPress website and translate the pages into french ?

Therefore, when the manual translation is completed, users click on french to view the website in french language.
    Regards
    Moctar

    • Hello,
if you don’t need automatic translation, you can start with the Multilingual Blog package but please note that it will allow you to translate only the content of your pages and posts (also menus and categories). If you have some other content to translate (coming from widgets, the header and the footer, page builders) you need the CMS package.

  13. Hi
I am trying to use your product for my wordpress-woocommerce website.

    1. I set the currencies and the exchange rate, my default currency is CNY, when I tested with EUR, it showes perfect in the cart, e.g. the product price is CNY100,00 and 14,00 in EUR. But when I check out, it took only CNY14,00 from the buyer’s account, not as i expected CNY100,00 or EUR14,00, what is the problem?

    2. I set the DKK for only Denmark, (I am present located in Denmark,) but I cant see DKK in the currency choices, I can only see the currencies that I set for all the countries.

    Thanks a lot for help.

    Best regards

    Linda

  14. Hi there,
since I don’t have PayPal, is there no other way to pay for the Multilingual CMS plugin?

    Thank’s in advance!

  15. I have a collection of pre-sale questions.

I am going to buy WPML, but first I want to have my e-commerce site (almost) perfect in its base language.

WooCommerce transactional emails: I want to have a high level of customization, but at the same time the possibility to send language-specific transactional emails. More plainly, if the customer purchased from the (say) Italian version of the website, I want she/he to receive transactional emails in Italian. If possible, I want to be able to customize these as much as possible: sending content-different transactional emails depending on the market. In other words, I am not asking necessarily for the WPML plugin to translate the transactional emails, but to be able to set up different templates depending on the language used by the customer.

    1. Is it possible to achieve the above stated scenario?

I’ve studied the subject for the past days and Mailchimp seems to offer one of the highest degrees of flexibility in template customization, but it doesn’t seem to me like it can deliver transactional emails in multiple languages.

    2. Am I wrong? If I look up “Mailchimp for Woocommerce” on your page for compatible plugins, it is written that it is. I bought a 1-month subscription, ut I do not see anywhere the possibility to do it.

    3. From your experience, which solution/plugin do you recommend for multilingual transactional emails? I know this is a direct question, but a straightforward suggestion is highly appreciated.

    • Hello Luca,
WPML allows you to translate the WooCommerce email templates in the String Translation panel. Please check some screenshots menioned here to see what to expect. Unfortunately, it doesn’t provide the flexibility you need. We are compatible with https://wpml.org/plugin/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/
but using it won’t solve your problem. You need different templates depending on the language and this is something we don’t have solutions for. I cannot think of any other plugin to recommend here.

  16. Hello Staff,
I’m currently using WPML on two web site. I need to install it on another website. How much credit should I buy?
    Thanks
