Hello there,

Thank you for contacting our support.

Could you please elaborate a little more on this issue, so I can better understand? E.g. Is there an error message, what are the steps you've tried, etc.

Sometimes screenshots illustrating what you mean may go a long way to clarify what words fail to transmit, so if you like, make use of “upload an image” below the comment area.

Thank you, please let us know.

Mateus

I'm trying to install the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency. In the last step of the installation my site crashes. And I have to recover it again.

I have gone through that process with one of your colleagues yesterday, but the chat got interrupted, that's why I sent you the last lines of debug files, because the whole file is to big.

I hope that helps. What can I do?

Hey there,

Thanks for your reply.

We have checked the previous debug logs, and we were able to spot this:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught InvalidArgumentException: element_id and type do not match for element_id:71 the database contains tax_category while this function was called with tax_product_cat in /wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/classes/core-abstract-classes/class-wpml-set-language.php:34

This kind of error generally happens because of corrupt entry or misconfiguration in the database. Please check the errata page related to this issue: https://wpml.org/errata/fatal-error-invalidargumentexception-element_id-and-type-do-not-match/

Let's try some possible solutions to see if this gets corrected:

**IMPORTANT** - Please make a backup of the site files and database before doing the following procedures:

#1 If you can still access your WP Dashboard:

- Go to WPML -> Support
- Click on the Troubleshooting link
- Click on the Fix post type assignment for translations button

#2 If you can’t access the WP Dashboard or the steps above do not help:

- Get access to your database using phpMyAdmin (or any other similar tool)
- Go to the wp_icl_translations table
- Find the entry with element_id:71 and delete that row

It might be necessary to replicate this workflow a couple of times until the issue is fixed.

Please give those instructions a try and let us know how they go. We're looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

Kind regards,
Mateus.

Hi Marko,

Thanks for your reply.

If the issue persists, yes, you should do the steps described in the #2 possible solution.

If you face difficulties on this, or if the problem remains after these steps, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hi Marko,

Thanks for your reply!

We have skipped the WCML setup and now we are able to access the WooCommerce -> WCML tab. Could you please review it and check if everything is fine now? Thank you!

Regards,
Mateus.
