Tell us what you are trying to do? translate a page

Is there any documentation that you are following? Yes

Is there a similar example that we can see? No

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Using the translate module is a pain with DIVI and here's why: First, it's long to enter one field at the time to translate but the main issue is that the translation always as bugs either in tablet or mobile, then you have to go back on each version. 1 page for desktop, tablet, mobile = 6 pages with 2 languages. This method has been suggested to us by WPML, Now, if I create my page in the original language, then create the other page in DIVI with (Json file or saved layout) Can we still use connect to translation feature because doing like this, you just have to edit the language by blocks instead of a lot of fields and there is 0 errors in layout because of

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

I'll recommend the following guides:

- https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/
- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/translation-editor-options/
- https://wpml.org/faq/why-arent-my-translations-showing/
- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/#duplicating-content

If you switch to using the Advanced Translation Editor, any content previously translated using the Classic Translation Editor will not be visible in the Advanced Translation Editor. However, they will still be visible on the site’s front-end.

You can copy and paste the existing translations from your site’s front-end or click the Translate automatically button in the Advanced Translation Editor to easily add translations.

Regards.

Hi, my question is: Can and how we use connect to translation feature because the ad translation procedure with multiple fields is creating layout errors.

Hi,

If you have a page that is a translation of another page, you can link them together using the Connect with translations feature. See https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/ for details as mentioned in my previous message. The process is like below:

1. Open the translated version of a page for editing.

2. In the right sidebar, expand the Language tab and select to translate the document with the WordPress Editor. Set the correct language of the page. Click OK in the dialog pop-up that appears. The page will reload.

3. Click on Connect with translations in the Language box.

4. Search for the page you want to link, then select it and click Ok.

5. Another dialog appears. If you want to change the page’s original language, select Make [Language] the original language for this page.

6. Click the Assign button.

Regards.

Thank you!! If I want to use the page translation, you can see in attachment what I was referring to earlier. The left fields of tablet and phone are copied in a text editor for translation convenience, then pasted to the right fields but this method for reasons I would like to know always creates random spacing or other layouts differences from the original. Let me know if you have a clue on what might happen. Thank you very much!

Hi,

Thank you for the updates.

The layout problems usually are directly related to the theme, styles and other plugins involved in building a final presentable version of a webpage. You can try the followings:

- Check and compare the resulting HTML on original and translated version
- Try with parent theme only, sometimes child themes are the reason too
- Try with another default WordPress theme like 2022 or 2023

As long as those "random spaces" are concerned, can you please explain with clear examples? I can not access this from the provided screenshot. It is better to take clear and full screen captures, mark and highlight what exactly is the issue, provide some links to frontend pages with some explaining of the issue. A screen recording showing the issue clearly 'll also be very helpful.

Regards.
