  1. Dear WPML Team!

    Thanks a lot:

  2. Dear WPML team
I have purchased the Blog version of WPML, and have made some tests using the Bridge theme. So far, I am VERY HAPPY with it, both your product and the compatibility. So, well done on your plugin.
However, now I realised that the Bog version doesn’t t allow me to have the Footer (widget) on another language. So, my questions are:
1 – Do I have to update to the CMS version?
2 – Once I pay the difference, what do I do next, do I have to install the WPML plugin again? Do you have instructions on this procedure please?
2 – I want to get rid of the link inserted at the bottom of every page (“This page is also available in French” for example. Could you tell me how to get rid of it please?

Many thanks in advance for your help
    Best
    Mat

    • Dear Mat,
thanks for using WPML and your feedback.

In case you would like to the CMS version:

      1. Please do it from your WPML account – you will find a link there
      2. – you don’t need to install WPML again. The CMS version includes additional plugins, if you need any of them, you just need to install them the same way you have installed the main WPML plugin.

Please ask the technical (about widget and removing the link) questions in our support forum:
      https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/

In my opinion you can solve both issue with the Blog version only but our supporters will check the details for you.

  4. Hi,

I just paid a developer to create my website. I have been making small changes since it’s creation but by no means am I familiar with WordPress. I would like to translate my website to another language. Is there a way there the pages can be replicated and then I just go fill in the language portions as opposed to having to create the pages again (adding pictures and content boxes etc). Would your support team be able to guide me through that?

    Thanks,

    • Hi Christine,
yes, this is possible with WPML and easy enough so you should manage. Here are the steps:

      1. Open your page for editing (in the original language)
      2. On the right side you locate the Language section and check the Duplicate checbox.
      3. Click Duplicate.
      4. A copy in another language will be created with all the content.
      5. Use the language switcher at the top of your page (next to the View Page, still in your WP back-end) to switch to the other language.
      6. You will see that the page looks exactly the same as your original one.
      7. Press Translate independently (you will find the button on the right)

  5. I am developing a website that needs several translations. I purchased the theme from Envato: https://themeforest.net/item/realtyspace-real-estate-wordpress-theme/15965811

Is it compatible, do I need to purchase a license to only alter menu headings for the new published site. At some stage will need to create blog text in different languages.

What languages are included if any on this template, basically how do I start language switching with this theme.
    In anticipation

  6. I have 2 questions:

    1. Is it possible to have an image on one translated page that i so not in the original? This goes for content in general,

    2. Is it possible to have pages available in one language but not in another?

    Thanks,

    David

    • You can do both with WPML.

      1. Each translation uses a separate page, so it can include completely different content and media. Normally, translations include the same content, just in different languages, but you can edit translations freely.

      2. You can translate existing pages, or create separate pages in different languages.

  7. Hi there,

A colleague of mine purchased the CMS version of your product, but I noticed the email that was input was wrong. How would I get the login info to the right email address?

    Thank you,
    Kevin

  8. Hi,

I am looking to roll out WPML for two English speaking versions of a website. Is this possible?

Does WPML incoperate HREFLANG, so we could set one version as default and one version as a country specific english version?

  9. Hello,
currently I am developing a themeforest template, and i want to use your plugin

do i have to buy the Multilingual CMS Lifetime plane ?

and do you accept payement from the Payoneer cards

    thank you

  10. Hi, I input the incorrect email address when purchasing and did not use paypal to pay so cant get access to my WPML. Invoice [edited]should have the email address [edited]

How can I get access to this please?

    • Thanks, our administrators will check your case in our system. Thanks for providing the invoice number. I edited your comment to hide it but it helps a lot. I will keep you posted.

  11. I work with a non-profit and just now sent an email for approval on free use of WPML for the non profit’s website. The email I received back said it could take 1 to 3 weeks for approval. If I would like to get started right away, could I buy the license now then get a refund once we are approved as a non profit?

    Thank you!

    • Hi Jacob,
indeed the waiting queue is long. Asking for a refund is not the best idea since it will cancel your WPML subscription completely. Let me ping the person in charge to see what we can do in your case.

  12. When purchasing my order (edited) I entered the wrong email, (edited) instead of (edited). I need to change this as I have already paid for the service but can not log in. Please help

  13. Hello WPML Support,

The company I work in is looking foward to purchasing WPML Plugin. However, The system is running under a overridden wordpress version, it means that we do not update that, and it has our customization. But, I have concerned that if I try to install WPML on that some issues are going to show up, not only to the WPML Setup but also with other plugins.

Is that possible? What would you recommend me do?

    Thank you.

    • You probably know already that running on very old WordPress versions is highly problematic. WPML works closely with the WordPress API, hooks and filters. If you are running an outdated version of WordPress, including your own customizations to core, we can’t say for sure if WPML will work with it.

      • Well, it is an updated version… If I am not deceived, the version is 4.5.2, but there a couple changes on the dashboard, the theme was purely developed from ‘zero’.

        Should I try using WPML?

        • Hi Enrico,
yes, you can use WPML for themes that were developed from scratch as well. Lots of our customers do so.

  14. I need translation for a simple wordpress website (static, company info website), which subscription type should I choose? I only need the front-end translated (standard wordpress theme).
Is it also possible to get a lifetime subscription of the first subscription type?

    • Hi J,
depends on your theme and how many custom strings (to translates) it includes. The point is that the Blog subscription allows you to translate pages, posts, categories and menus and if you want to translate other elements of your website you will need the Staring Translation module, which is included only in the CMS version.

Is it also possible to get a lifetime subscription of the first subscription type?

No, first you would need to upgrade to the CMS version and then to lifetime.

You can get started with the Blog version and if it turns out that it is not enough you can easily upgrade to the CMS version and pay the difference only. You will find a link to do so in your WPML account.

  15. Hello – I’m part of an developing team, making a webshop in Danisk …
Some terms are shown in English in our woocommerce webshop …
how can Your product help us to translate those terms from English to Danish ?
We are looking forewars to Your answer 🙂
    BR
    Susanne

    • Hi Susanne,
for WooCommerce stores there are two “areas” that can be translated
      1. products themselves
      2. additional strings, related to the purchasing process (Buy, Cart, etc)

If you don’t plan to translate your products, you don’t need WPML at all. You just need to make sure that both your theme and wooCommerce plugin includes relevant translation files (they can be recognized by the .po and .mo extension)

If you plan to translate your products (their titles, deatils, everything related to them), yes, you can use WPML.

  16. Hello,

I design websites based on WordPress. In the near future I will create few multilingual websites for myself, for my friends and for my clients. It will be about ten separate websites together. For every single website I want to use your WPML plugin.

I got a question about WPML versions. If I buy the most expensive version – “Best Deal – Multilingual CMS Lifetime” – can I use your WPML plugin on those ten websites?

    regards,
    Marek

    • Hi Marek, yes you can. In this case you will pay only once and you will be able to use WPM on all your sites (and your customers’ and friends’ sites)

  17. Hello!

I want to have a multilingüal service. Just french, english and spanish for two websites. One for the website and the second is a restricted area.

Wich plan is better for me?.

    What do you offer?

    • Hello,
What do you mean by “restricted area”?

“Which plan is better for me” – do you ask if you should buy the “Multilingual Blog” or “Multilingual CMS”? If your site is a simple blog where you will translate posts, pages and categories only, choose “Multilingual Blog”. If your site (a theme) uses more options and strings to translate, please buy “Multilingual CMS”. It includes additional modules that allow you to translate all elements of your site.

You can start with the Blog version and upgade to CMS later.

      • Hi

Thank you for your answer. It’s an e-commerce. I need three languages.

The restricted area is an similar ecommerce but just for registered users.

So. I will need two websites with three languages.

  18. Hi. I am a web developer and is interested in buying your WPML CMS plugin. I am going to develop a website where products needs to be uploaded as per location in their language. Can you pls confirm if following are served with your plugin?

    1) Uploading woocommerce products in different languages.
    2) Uploading products as per location. So it means US can have 10 products and CAN may have separate products which not need to be shown in US site.
    3) Separate admins to administer the products in their language. So a Mexico admin can only edit/upload products in mexican area of the website and cant add/edit/delete products from US or CAN sites.

    • We designed WPML to make it easy to translate WooCommerce products to different languages.

It may be possible to achieve what you are describing, but not straight forward and probably not all. For your application, I think that separate WordPress installations would make more sense. This way, you will have full control over what you do per country.

  19. Hello,

I have made a WordPress website with the Create theme from Themetrust. I have used the Pagebuilder for Create by Site Origin to create my (one page) website.

The final thing I need to do is to make two translations of the website. I am having problems with other language plugins as they are not working with my Pagebuilder. Is the WPML plugin compabible with my Pagebuilder?

    Thank you,
    Nicolette Fidder

    • You will be able to create different pages in different languages and design each of them using the page builder.

We don’t yet have an interface to translate the texts in the page builder, which will allow you to design once and translate.

    • You only need to buy WPML once and you can use it for all your multilingual sites. There is no payment per site.

  20. Hi, if i buy Multilingual CMS, can i upgrade to Multilingual CMS for Life? If its possible, how much time do i have to upgrade? A month or a year?

    • Hi Ali,
yes, you will be able to upgrade from the “Multilingual CMS” subscription to the ” Multilingual CMS for Life” and you will pay the difference only. It will be possible 30 days before your current “Multilingual CMS” expires. So you will have 30 days to do so. In your WPML account, a link will appear that will let you do so.

    • WPML is compatible with the Avada theme and the7 theme. Both themes were tested by our Compatibility Team.
