Hi, please log into your WPML account and you will find a link there. As far as I remember you cannot upgrade to “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” directly. First you need to upgrade to the “Multilingual CMS” (you will pay the difference only) and then it will be possible to upgrade to “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” (again, you will pay the difference only). Please log into your account and check what option you have available.
Hi
im going to use only two languages on my blogg site, swedish(main) and english.
But is posible when i write posts to have both langages open..and to not click any button to redirect me from that url ? I want to write in swedish and under that a big embty box, that i can write in english too.
I cant attach images here, but if you dont understand my question i can send a image through mail?
Thank you, pls write me asap, i have to decide what plugin to use
I guess you want to see both the original post and your translated post on the same page while you are editing your content, right? To make your translation process easier, right? If so, WPML has this feature available in the Translation Management add-on when you send/assign your posts to translators. Any user of your WordPress site can be a translator, including yourself.
Hi,
I’m currently working with All in One Seo Pack and PolyLnag nd I’m ready to move to Yoast and WPML, provided a confirmation on your end on the following:
Context:
I have a “simple” site http://www.n-o-a.net and I will have it in 3 languages, not as subdomains but as subdirectories or subfolders i.e. http://www.n-o-a.net/es /pt /en
I will be using for translation WPML plugin that recommends your plunging but in a forum it says that you had to work in something for the sitemaps. So,
Questions:
1] if using Yoast either the Free or Pro version would I be able to successfully implement the needed SiteMaps for google? -considering the structure of subdirectories/subfolders
2] working in conjunction with WPML would each page have the altlang refs?
Summing up, if I go for the option WMPL and Yoast would I have 100% of translation and SEO needs covered without small print?
Hello, I am working on a new wordpress website that us using gantry theme.
Will this plugin work with this theme and on all my plugins?
How can I be sure the translation is accurate?
Yes, nicely summarized: WPML sets up the multisite environment, you (or your WordPress users) insert the translations yourself or you can send your contents to one of the professional translation services that are integrated with WPML but these are paid extra.
Hi Raja,
no, all users will see the languages/currency switcher. But WPML has an option to detect the user’s language set in her/his browser and redirect him/her the relevant language automatically. This setting is disabled by default but you can enable it in WPML settings.
1. Any other possiblities show products language and currency by there geo location. ?
2. Any option to keep particular language and particular currency by their country?
for eg For Denmark country user Default Language should Danish And Danish Currency
Our translator is asking for a localization file in order to quote us for his translation service. Our wordpress install is multisite with a large number of plugins. It is using a custom hand coded theme and has had no focus on languages before now.
Is there a way with your plugin, to provide all content of our website including pages, posts, menus and all plugins as a file that our translator can use to quote with and to work through and translate without having to login to our system?
Hi Cathy,
I’m not sure if I understand your question. You mean, your translator wants to add somewhere a note like this: “Translated by …”, to credit him/her? If so, it would be tricky since when you translate with WPML you enter your translation in diffrent places, all over your WordPress admin, depending on what you translate (page content, a widget, slides, a string from your footer etc). If your theme uses the so called po/mo file, you can put your translator’s name there and then let WPML read this file. Your theme develop will know the details. But please note that this file will include only the strings coming from your theme and your site will have more strings and contents to translate.
To sum up there is no such thing in WPML as a single file where you would store all your translations.
Hi sorry, let me explain a bit better. We need our website translating and need to pick which person will do our translations. We also need to choose which translation plugin to use.
In order to pick the person to translate our website text, we need to gather some pricing quotes from these people so we can pick the best person. In order to provide us with a price quote estimate, the translators are asking us to provide a read-out of the website fields so they can see the amount of pages, plugins and post texts that need to be translated.
My question is, before I purchase wpml plugin, does it have the ability to save out such a file with all the site text, plugin text, post text included but from your last post I’m guessing this is a no. I’m not sure whether this is going to be the same with all translation plugins.
Dear Sergej,
yes, you can test WPML for 30 days and in case you are not entirely satisfied (whatever the reason is) we will give your money back. Just use this form: https://wpml.org/purchase/pre-sales-questions/

Hello,
WPML doesn’t translate your contents automatically. So you won’t convert your traditional Chinese into Simplified Chinese version and vice versa. But you can set up both languages in WPML. Or maybe you had something different in mind by “conversion”. If so, please explain and I will try to help.
Please also add more details to this part ” Is the generate the URL for the whole convert website, as we need the URL to point to the another version of whole website, not just single page, or single post translation” since I’m not sure what exactly you would like to achieve. “to point to the another version of whole website” – what is this “another version of whole website”?
Hi – Agnes
Thanks for your quick responsive

Can the tool generate a new URL for the whole website convert version
I am working on a English/French site and mostly want the option for my viewers to choose the language. We aren’t looking for translation as Canadian French is not the same as other versions.
Is there any option for installing a demo to make sure the functionality that we require is available and that my client is happy with what it does?
Hello Steve,
“mostly want the option for my viewers to choose the language” – this is what we call a language switcher. WPML generates it automatically based on the languages you added when setting up WPML. Once created the language switcher can be inserted in diffrent places.
When you add your languages you will see a list of predefined languages but if your language is not present on that list – French (Canada) isn’t – you can add it manually.
Here are the codes for French languages:
Code Name
fr-CA French (Canada)
fr-CH French (Switzerland)
fr-FR French (France)
fr-LU French (Luxembourg)
Please note that WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically.
Now about the demo. The only way to test WPML without worrying that it won’t work for you and you lose your money, is to purchase it keeping our refund policy in mind. It allows you to test WPML for 30 days. Please lear more at https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
1. Any other possiblities show products language and currency by there geo location. ?
2. Any option to keep particular language and particular currency by their country?
for eg For Denmark country user Default Language should Danish And Danish Currency
Hi,
when you set up your currencies you can connect them to languages and for each language choose its default currency. Then in WPML you can enable an option that allows to redirect the user to his language based on the language set in his/her browser. So for example you added the Danish language and set the Danish krone (DKK) as its default currency, the users who have Danish language set as their default language in their browsers will be redirected automatically to the Danish version of your site/shop and the Danish krone currency will be chosen automatically.
There is no other option, no real GEO location available.
Please see my answer above which explains how WPML works. You can achieve what you need but only based on the user language set in his/her browser. But you will probably get more traffic from search engines so the user will reach the page in her/his language immediately.
My website uses Beaver Builder to compose posts, and I hope to rely heavily on WPML translation management features. If I buy WMPL, will there be compatibility issues with the Beaver Builder pages? They cannot be edited in the default WordPress page editor.
You can translate the content you have created with the Beaver Builder but you will need to duplicate the page content (there is an option in WPML to do so) and then translate it.
Hi
Do you know if the theme Parallax One (free) is supported? Specifically the text content you add in the WordPress Customizer. It’s by themeisle.com.
Thanks, AL
You can place WPML’s language switcher anywhere in the site. WPML comes with a number of options for placing the language switcher without programming. You can include a language switcher in any widget zone, in menus and in the footer. If your theme doesn’t have a menu or widget zone where you want to have a language switcher, you can always add it with one line of PHP code.
WPML sets a language constant, which you can easily use in your theme. With a few lines of PHP, you will be able to check the current language and add a CSS class to pages. Then, use your theme’s styles.css file to add selectors per language.
I Know i can switch between languages what i want to know is if it will give me option in my theme to change to a different specific font for that section in that language only. ie h1 h2 h3 then revert to original font when back to default language. I checked the link and found nothing there regarding font.
so basically not just change language but change font as well specific to when viewing in that language.
You can go to the site and see the H2, H3 H1 font is messed up when viewing in other language,
I have no problem buying your plugin but i need to know it will work first and that someone will help me find a solution for this particular issue.
Nice thank you, OK im buying wpml css version now. question. do i need do anything special to keep the changes polylang plugin already made or do i have to start from scratch?
I would prefer to have separate style sheet for each language if possible.. I’m a complete noob with wp is there somwhere with more details how to setup multiple sheets
i see sample Ok.
“I found an easy way to do it. No need of PHP.
Just add :lang(lang_code)
at the end of a css rule
example :
#header:lang(fr) :
{color : red;}
#header:lang(en) :
{color : green;}
”
but have no clue where to place ie. which where is this css rule which file ?and how to setup wpml to recognize change.
Hi Mark, once you have the WPMLsubscription, please ask your question in our Support Forum. They will explain the details. It’s difficult for me to handle technical questions using comments.
We would like to buy WPML CMS plug-in to develop Web site for my client. We buy your plug-in through our company name. Does it have any illegal license issues?
Hi Ben,
yes, you can buy a WPML subscription with your company name and legally use it for all the sites you build for your customers. This is how licensing system works.
we have a Lobo site using the WooCommerce plugin. We would like the site to be in GB English as we need “Cart” to say “Basket” and “Coupon” to say “Voucher” (there may be other translations needed later on).
All our settings are on GB English and I have tried other plugins but nothing is working. Will WPML allow me to do this?
Hi Alice,
WPML is used to make your website available in more than one languge. What you are trying to do is to change the labels/names of the strings that the WooCommerce plugin uses and which are hardcoded in its PHP files. I would recommend you to use a simpler solution, as this one.
Hi Thomas,
WPML can detect the language based on the language set in the user’s browser. This option is disabled by deafult but you can enable it in WPML settings.
WPML doesn’t trasnlate your contents automatically. You need to enter the trasnlations yourself or you can send your posts/pages to trasnlators. You can make some of your WordPress users your trasnlators or you can request tranlsation job from professional services which are integarted with WPML but paid.
Hi,
we want to start a new WP website and we have 2 languages on our current website: English and Greek. We already checked the Polylang plugin, and tried to translate terms (strings) in various plugins, like EasyRecipe with no luck.
Does WPML support the translation of any string (including the ones in the installed plugins)? Have you tested any of those with any recipe plugin before?
If the scenario is feasible, which subscription does cover such functionality?
Thank you in advance.
Forgot to ask one more thing:
Can we have 2 different fonts (one per language)? Is this in the settings of WPML? Because most themes have a wonderful Latin font which doesn’t work in Greek as well.
Thank you.
Hi Panos,
WPML is ready to translate various terms. The thing is some themes and plugins include strings that won’t be automatically detected for translation. In order to handle them your theme/plugin needs to have a special config file. Please read more at https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/
If you are a developer you can create such a file yourself. If you think you could do it, you will need to buy either the Multilingual CMS or Lifetime subscription (both include the String Translation plugin which will let you translate non-standard strings)
Hallo,
I have bought “Multilingual Blog” but i want to get “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” what is the best way to proceed?
Hi, please log into your WPML account and you will find a link there. As far as I remember you cannot upgrade to “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” directly. First you need to upgrade to the “Multilingual CMS” (you will pay the difference only) and then it will be possible to upgrade to “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” (again, you will pay the difference only). Dear WPML Support Team,
I would like to use your product for my website but I am wondering about the speed.
Is it possible to get money back if website will start to work slow after WPML plugin activation?
Or is there any trial version to test it before purchase?
Thank you for your time!
Kind Regards,
Sergej
Dear Sergej,
yes, you can test WPML for 30 days and in case you are not entirely satisfied (whatever the reason is) we will give your money back. Just use this form: https://wpml.org/purchase/pre-sales-questions/
This is the only way to test WPML.

I’m sorry but I don’t know what you mean by “symbol”. But WPML doesn’t covert symbols anyway.

For Multicurrency is it possible set by user Gio location ?
If user from India their currency is in rupees or uesr from US the currency should in doller.
Please see my answer above which explains how WPML works. You can achieve what you need but only based on the user language set in his/her browser. But you will probably get more traffic from search engines so the user will reach the page in her/his language immediately.

You can place WPML’s language switcher anywhere in the site. WPML comes with a number of options for placing the language switcher without programming. Would this help?
I want to know if the plugin supports a way to select different font when displaying in theme different language..
WPML sets a language constant, which you can easily use in your theme. With a few lines of PHP, you will be able to check the current language and add a CSS class to pages. Then, use your theme’s styles.css file to add selectors per language.
I suggest to use the ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE, which is explained here:

Does this help?
I Know i can switch between languages what i want to know is if it will give me option in my theme to change to a different specific font for that section in that language only. ie h1 h2 h3 then revert to original font when back to default language. We would like to buy WPML CMS plug-in to develop Web site for my client. We buy your plug-in through our company name. Does it have any illegal license issues?
Regards,
Ben
Hi Ben,
yes, you can buy a WPML subscription with your company name and legally use it for all the sites you build for your customers. This is how licensing system works.
Hello,
we have a Lobo site using the WooCommerce plugin. We would like the site to be in GB English as we need “Cart” to say “Basket” and “Coupon” to say “Voucher” (there may be other translations needed later on).
All our settings are on GB English and I have tried other plugins but nothing is working. Will WPML allow me to do this?
Thanks
Hi Alice,
WPML is used to make your website available in more than one languge. What you are trying to do is to change the labels/names of the strings that the WooCommerce plugin uses and which are hardcoded in its PHP files. I would recommend you to use a simpler solution, as this one.
Hello!
I was wondering if the WPML plugin have auto detect country depending on where you access the website?
Like if the website is in English and i access it in Sweden will it translate to Swedish then?
Also if i have some text that are in Swedish and some in English will it translate both text into the desired language i choose?
Best regards
Hi Thomas,
WPML can detect the language based on the language set in the user’s browser.
If I buy the Multilingual CMS, is it possible to upgrade to the Lifetime version and only paying the difference (within the first year)?
Yes, it is. It works exactly as you expect.
Hi,
we want to start a new WP website and we have 2 languages on our current website: English and Greek.
Thank you.
This is doable. Please see the following two comments:

Hi Panos,
WPML is ready to translate various terms.
Here are plugins compatible with WPML:

When do you add Azerbaijan language? I dont want to add custom it
Hello, indeed Azerbaijan is not included in the list of WPML pre-configured languages but you can add it yourself. To do so, please follow this doc and the video: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
