  1. Good morning,
I had two orders, one was paid and other is pending.
Can you please delete pending order from my account?
    Thanks.

  2. Hi,
I was wondering, if I buy the “Multilingual CMS” version, what will happen when the year is out? Is it mandatory to renew the account or can I leave it as is? If I don’t renew the account will the additional langages disappear from the website?

    Thank you for your reply.

    • Renewals are not automatic. If you don’t renew your account, your sites will continue to work normally. A valid account is necessary to receive updates and support. Of course, it’s a good idea to have all plugins up-to-date in your sites, but that’s your decision.

  3. My one-year CMS license expired two weeks ago. I want to buy a renewal for $ 39 but all I see in my admin dashboard is buy one year for $ 79.

Second question: is there a special offer if I want to upgrade to a lifelong subscribtion?

    Thank you in advance

    Tjerk

    • You can only take advantage of the reduced renewal price before your subscription ends.
After that you have to purchase a new one.

However, you can still upgrade to a lifetime account paying for the difference.
You should see a link to do so in your account page: https://wpml.org/account/

  4. Hi. Will I be able to manually edit any bad translations and will the plugin recognize the ip address location and switch to the language based on the region. Will I also be able to use flags as icons for languages or maybe flags and text at the same time. Thank you

    • Hello,

Will I be able to manually edit any bad translations

WPML doesn’t translate automatically. You provide translations. You can also use one of the professional translation services integrated with WPML. These are paid extra. If you are interested in that option, please let me know and I’ll provide more details.

will the plugin recognize the ip address location and switch to the language based on the region.

No, but WPML does an option to detect the language set in your visitor’s browser.

Will I also be able to use flags as icons for languages or maybe flags and text at the same time.

Both options are possible to be set up in WPML.

      • Hello,

I’m not sure if I understand your question. What exactly would you like to achieve? WPML helps you to turn your site into a multilingual one. If your site supports secure connections, WPML will work on it as well. Also, WPML works great with the Yoast plugin (and othe SEO plugins) so you can optimize everything for google search.

    • Hello Solomon, thanks for your interest in WPML.
Yes, you can. You can upgrade to the Lifetime version anytime for the difference in purchase price.

  5. Hi there, does the Multilingual CMS allow both machine and manual translation at no extra cost? Also, is it compatible with the WordPress theme Organic Web Shop?

    Thanks

    • Hello Vera,
WPML doesn’t translate automatically at all. You provide translation. You also have an option to send your pages, posts and other content to one of the translation services integrated with WPML (human made translations) but for those you need to pay.

Here we list all themes tested and compatible with WPML https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/ I cannot see your theme on that list. It means it wasn’t tested by our team but it might work. Even if a theme is not fully compatible with WPML you should be able to translate posts, pages, menus. Our refund policy allows you to test WPML for 30 days without any risk. https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

You can also contact our support experts during that probation period.

    • Hi Agnes, would it be possible for someone from your team to test whether my theme (Organic Web Shop) is compatible with WPML before I make the purchase?

      Thank you very much.

      Kind regards,

      Vera

  6. Hi. I have a pre-purchase question:

We’re using Visual Composer on our website and have created a template for a custom post type page. This custom post type page (a private page) is created for every registered user and the registered user is only able to see his/her own private page and don’t have the access to other users private pages (thus the user’s private page has unique URL). All private pages are populated with the same template (we created in VC) when they’re created (they’re created automatically when a new user is registered – one private page per user).

Now the question is: will we be able to use WPML to translate just the template once thus every time a new user is registered and his/her private page is automatically created and populated with the template, it (the page) is also would have a default translated version? Or we would need to translate the page for every new user every time?

    • Hi Dan,
Templates have no languages information. But you can create a translated version of your template and save it as ‘My Translated Template’, then assign that translated template to the translated pages.
About auto-creation of the translated pages: WPML cannot do that out of the box. However, with some custom work, you may achieve that.

  7. Hello , I need to know some information about your plugin
but first of all i need to know if this plugin can translate my website auto

    thats all .
    thanks

  8. Hello,

If I buy Multilingual CMS for $79, will I be able to to renew it in one year to the lifetime purchase ($195) with paying the difference ($ 116) ?

    Thanks

    Edwin

  9. Hi!,

I am interested to go with WPML for a website which needs to be converted into “Swahili”.

Before I purchase, could you please confirm, whether i will get swahili as a language with WPML? Is this plugin and after converting to swahilli will not messup anything in woocommerce site?

Please note that, my website is in wordpress, using woocommerce and would like to convert everything to swahili (from frontend).

Please revert back as soon as possible.

  10. Hello,
I have a question about wmpl. I have to import bulk products (6000 clothes) from an url address and i have to set a cron job to get updated every 2 hours (as the products on the url address changes), the question is if WMPL can automatically translate all the products from that url address every time the cron job runs? The products are in english and i need to be translated in my website language (romanian)
    Thank you!

  11. Hi,

I want to make my personal blog bilingual and by far WPML seemed the best option. I am planning to buy the Multilingual Blog plan since I won’t use many functions the Multilingual CMS offers and it’s a price I can afford, but I have a question before proceeding with the purchase. Will I be able to make a bilingual version of widgets like “about”, “recent posts” and everything that uses to be on a sidebar?
    Thank you!

      • Hi Agnes,
Thank you for answering. The point is the CMS, for now, is out of my budget and it’s the only thing I would need out of the Blog plan. The conditional ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE==en would work? For now, I don’t want to translate the widgets but their content and titles. Is that a solution? In the future, I may upgrade the plan to make everything easier.

  12. HI,
I want to buy the wpml plugin but i want to know which version i buy.In the purches its not appear. And I need that the version will up version 3.9.3 Because I want that its work with Avada theme.
    Thanks!
    Nechama Shvaiger

    • Hi Nechama,

if you buy a WPML subscription you get access to all WPML plugins we’ve ever released since in your Download section you can access previous versions (under Changelog) as well. We recommend to always use the most recent version.

  13. Hi, we’re developing a custom, AJAX/SPA based, theme and want to test the compatibility of the WPML plugin against it (to ultimately make it compatible).

Is there a free version of the plugin we can use for testing, without having to purchase?

The reason I ask is that we have tested multiple plugins which show obvious signs of non-compatibility as soon as we install them, and others which take a bit of testing. It’s a waste of time if I purchase the plugin and it’s 100% non-compatible.

    Thanks,

    Daniel.

    • Hello, I guess I already answered your question (it was waiting for moderation). Let me summarize it once again. When you buy WPML you get the most recent version. Right now, the most recent WPML version is 3.7.1. If your WPML is active you have access to previous versions as well.

  14. Hello, very interested in this plugin. How does the plugin handle permalinks? Will all site permalinks/URL structure remain the same on translated pages, or will the different language versions have unique URLs? Just wondering if we’ll need to set up subdomains or separate WordPress instances for any reason. Thank you!

    • Hi Adam,
you can use subdirectories for language versions or subdomains.

for subdirectories it will work like this:
      yoursite.com
      your.com/fr
      your.com/es

see our wpml.org site as an example (scroll down the page to reach the footer)
Please note that these folders are “virtual”, you don’t need to create them (they won’t physically exist). WPML handles it.

Then, when you create a page/post in another langue, the page slug will be created the same way you would create any WordPress page/post, by default it will reflect your post/page title. I hope it helps.

  15. Hello.

I’m wondering how difficult is it to migrate my content from q translated website to WPML .
Can i have a guide on that please?

  16. Hi, I want to start my blog on WordPress Personal (for 2.99 EUR) and I want to know if it is compatible with WPML Plugin so that I can translate the blog in several languages
    Thank you for your reply

  17. Which version of WPML should i get to simply translate my pages, navigation and posts.

My theme is built with Visual Composer, so it will need to function with this too. Not sure if the $29 plugin or $79 is better suited for my needs. Hopefully the cheaper one will work for me.

    Kindly, Oli

    • Hi Oli,
using the Blog subscription ($29) you can translate your posts, pages, navigation, categories. But if you want to translate your content that was built with Visual Composer you will need the CMS one.

  18. Hello,
We have already bought a wordpress template, RTL + Multilinguage from template-monster. We though that your translation plugin is also included, but they have asked us to buy the 79$ version, they had never told that we need to buy it separately!
Anyhow, we don’t have any problem to buy, the only problem is we doubt if any translation software can translate English to Persian, properly. We never seen any, and the results are always stupid! The edition and fixing is much more harder than if we translate by ourselves from the first.
Then please advise if your software can translate English to Persian, properly?
your prompt reply is requested, while templatemoster is designing our pages.
    Thanks
    Amir

  19. Hi,
i’m developing a website in 3 different languages and i’d like to buy your services.
    I’ve 2 main needs:
    – Give editors the possibility to write post and pages in 3 languages
    – Menu translation when language is choosen

    which package do you suggest?
    WPML BLOG or CMS?

    Regards

    • Hello,

the Blog subscription should suffice in this case. If it turns out later that it doesn’t, you can upgrade to the CMS later for the difference in purchase price. You won’t need to reinstall anything in case you upgrade. You will just need extra WPML plugins that are not included in the Blog version.

  20. Hi! I’m researching into building a multilingual company website and e-commerce on WordPress. There are several multilingual-related questions I have:

    1) Can we have different landing pages/content displayed for different countries; (e.g. having a country selector so it displays a homepage/slider and shop dedicated to their region)

    2) Can we display different product range for different regions;

    3) Can we restrict customers to only be able to purchase from the “product range” available to their shipping address? E.g. US shipping address can only check out in USD (custom USD prices set by us, not automatically converted).

    Thanks so much.

  21. Hi,

Would WPML allow me to have URLs for most languages to be subdirectories of the main site domain – i.e. example.com/de/, example.com/fr/ etc – but for one language to have a separate domain name i.e. example.jp? (and not example.jp/jp/ ideally)

    Thanks,

    mark.
