  3. Hi Admin,

I have purchase the YOAST multilingual training to ready for international expansion.

I found WPML is good to achieve the objective, however, do you guys provide the baby steps of setting up WPML to to target multi language ?

    Example

    123.com/es
    123.com/de
    123.com/cn
    123.com/id

    Thanks

  4. If I have a blog that has 100 blog entries. BUT I only want to translate 50. What happens to the other 50? Do I have to translate every post on my site?

And what if there is content I want to hide on the foreign language versions of a page? For example if I had pricing or text that only applies to the US version. Can I hide that on the translated pages?

Also, vice versa can I add new content to the translated pages that aren’t on the original page? For example if I have text, links, html elements that only apply to the translated site. Can I add that without it appearing on the original english version?

  5. Trying to purchase WPML, and 2Checkout returns an “Authorization failed” message no matter which credit card (or paypal) and no matter what browser I use. Are they having issues? Would like to complete the purchase!

  6. We want to figure out the WPML is the translation from your server API or in my website folder Dictionary? thank you.

    • Hello,

WPML doesn’t translate your content automatically. You provide the translations or you can use of of the professional translation services that are integrated with WPML. They are available via the WPML Translation Management plugin (included in the CMS and Lifetime packages) but you pay extra for the translations. Pricing depends on the service you choose and the number of words you have to translate. https://wpml.org/documentation/content-translation/

  7. So we can prepare the translation by ourself. and it’s not a online automatic machine translate from a API server. it’s local . just to confirm. then we’ll make a purchase.

    • That’s correct, no machine translations in WPML. If you have your translations, you can copy paste them.

  8. Hi, I would like to clarify some moments about working with XLIFF files.

When we export the XLIFF file from Translation, then we have it translated.
When we upload it again and select English to Swedish – then I take it that Swedish translations will be completed for that page.

Can we instead of doing one language at a time for a page. Is it possible to upload a XLIFF that has translations for several languages and the translations will apply to all the languages? or do we have to upload an XLIFF for each language?

    • Hello,
you can use XLIFF files in WPML but the rule is: 1 XLIFF file = 1 pair of languages: the original and the translation.

We cannot change it because of the structure of the XLIFF files. You cannot put two translations into one XLIFF file.

  9. Hi I have a question regarding the transfer of wpml license from us to our client. We are devloping a website for our client and we would need to transfer the license to their wpml account which they would open. Can you kindly advise if this is possible please.

    • Hello,
you, as a web developer can buy WPML and use it on your customers’ sites. No special transfer is required. You simply need to register your customer’s site (domain) in your WPML account.

  10. Greetings team, I have made the full WPML purchase yesterady and ave not yet received any credential or log in info via email. Any help figuring this out woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    • Hello Jon,
Yes you can upgrade to lifetime but please note that we are planning to remove the lifetime subscriptions and after it is done the offer will no longer be available. In any case we will let our users know so that they can upgrade if they haven’t done so yet.

      Kind regards,

  11. Hey! I am sorry I found out my plugin is not working and I missed your email about prolonging subscription, it ended March 31. Would you please offer me to prolong it for 50% discount? I am annual customer and I missed it during Easter:) Thanks a lot!

    • Hello Veronika,
Please log in to your account and you will find the link to renew for 50% again.

      Kind regards,

  12. Hi, I wanted to buy the plugin, I have a VAT number, I should not pay VAT, but it always appears it when I fill the form. Why? You find my VAT number on my homepage … thanks very much Best regards, Felice

  13. Hi,

I want to be able to sell products in both USD and EUR at the same time (multiple base currencies(, both in the front and back ends.

For example, I want to sell one product in USD and have USD paid into my USD account tied to the shop and another product in EUR and have EUR paid into my EUR account tied to the shop.

I have a multi currency credit card processor plugged into my woocommerce website, which can take sales in both EUR and USD but only when I change the base currency of the whole website.

Does this plugin offer me a solution?

    Thanks

    • Hello,
WPML along with the WooCommerce Multilingual extension (available in the CMS and Lifetime packages) can help here but if I understand your description correctly you don’t have plans to translate your products but you only need them to be be available in two currencies. In that case installing WPML can be a kind of overkill since WPML is meant for making your site available in multiple languages.

  15. Hi, I am the vice president of 501 C3 nonprofit organization Jairus Bible World Inc and I was referred by our translation service provider Trans-Blvd LLC (www.trans-blvd.com). And we are trying to build a multiple language site for our ministry and we will be using our current translation service. We are ready to purchase WPML. I am wondering how can we integrate our translation workflow with our translation service provider.
I noticed Trans-Blvd LLC is currently not a partner with your site yet but I heard they tried to contact you for adding their service to your site. But they haven’t heard back from you yet.
My question is should I buy now or wait for your decision on adding their translation service. If they can be added I understand we can integrate with them but if not can we continue to use our translation service?

    Many thanks
    Ruth

    • Hello Ruth,

thank you for your interest in WPML. Let me get in touch with my colleagues from the team that is responsible for translation services to check the status of your request and what we can do for you. I’ll keep you posted.

    • OK, So we got your request a few days ago and we will reply to it. Please note that it takes time to have a specific service fully integrated with WPML. You can also consider using XLIFF files instead.

  16. Hi, I wanted to buy the plugin, yesterday, I have a valid VAT number but all the time the form does not consider it. What to do? I also wrote this same question, yesterday, I saw it published online, but now I do not see it anymore. I read another ´customer asking the same and you solved the problem. May you, please, help me? Thanks very much, warm regards, Felice

  17. Hi!

I work for a client who is a non-for-profit. There used to be a special deal for non-for-profits. Is it still in place? How can we apply to it?

    Thanks in advance

  18. Hello. I was asked by an acquaintance to update his WP site. I noticed that it’s already on WordPress 4.9.5 with theme The7 which is compatible with WPML Multilingual CMS. The installed WMPL is of version 3.2.2. and obviously is causing some errors in WP admin backend. Will be update to newest WPML straightforward or should I expect some difficulties?

    • There is always a risk and you may consider creating a copy first (use the Duplicator plugin) and try it there. And of course do a backup. In case of any issues, create a ticket in our support forum and our supporters will have a look at it.

    • I don’t know, sometimes the incompatibility is caused by conflicts with other plugins, but we always recommend our customers to update both WP and WPML to the most recent versions.

  19. Our company is undergoing the creation of a new Website, and we want to have translations. We have contacted out some translators, and they recommended this plugin. However, we are still in the exploratory phase. What would be the best way to get a free trial of this plugin, so we can see if it fits our workflow? My boss was thinking there would be some kind of staging environment where we could test the plugin. Anyway, thanks for the help!

  20. Hi there,
If I purchase the 2nd plan, with the multi-site installation, do I have to re-purchase this every year? Or is subscription for support purposes only? In other words, once I pay the $79, do I have to renew license for some reason?

    Thank you,

    • Hello Tony.
An active subscription is required to access downloads, updates and support. You are welcome no leave it to expire and simply use the files which you have already downloaded and installed.

      Best,

  21. Since I need to get Sting translations enabled I think I need Multilingual CMS package, I have purchased the Blog package which is installed and running.
Since I don’t want to risk any failures when upgrading:
How is the process after doing the upgrade purchase?
Download, install, that’s it or d I have to deactivate my version or..
Please advise I don’t want to loose all work so far (yes, I do backups, but still…my skills are limited…).

    Thank you!

    • Hello Rocio,
You need to log in to your account first and then upgrade to CMS for the difference (50$). The String Translation module will be available in you Downloads page. Simply download it and install it, like the other plugins. No need remove or deactivate anything. Let me know if you have any further question.

      Kind regards,

      • I have a problem now after purchasing the plugin and trying to install.
The two plugins that come with the cms package (translation Management and String Translation), are installed an active BUT I get ths error message:

“You must have a valid subscription in order to get upgrades or support for this plugin. Purchase a subscription or enter an existing site key. ”

When trying to enter the site key I have (same as for my former package as it is the same site) I dont get the field to paste it in.

What do I have to do now?
Of course I want upgrades and support…

    • Hello,

      thank you for your reply.
But is this procedure also applicable for
the download of Management translation (This comes with the CMS package and I didn’t have this before).
Do I also install and activate this? Will it result in any consequences for the existing blog package?

      THX!
