  1. Hi. I’m building a website that will sell tours and activities in a single destination. Individual tours in the theme are handled by custom posts. We’ll have booking forms and possible online payment options. Do I need the $29 version or $79 version? Thanks.

  2. I want to know if the plugin can translate fully Woo commerce, i mean the Cart, product and all internal files.
If not sucessfull, can I be refunded before 30 days ?

  3. HI there!
I am planning to build my new business website with WP.ORG. I’ll have a shop online with Woocommerce. I’ll be using Astra Theme and building the site with Elementor. I have read extensively your product description and it sems to meet very well the requirements I need for my new website, as it needs to be multilingual. I am interested in your WPML Multilingual CMS at $79. I am not a developer, I am not a technical “Guru”, I have no programming skills and no knowledge of coding. When I read about WPML on the “About WPML” page of your website, I read the following, and I quote: …
Then I went to your page “How to create a Multilingual Website for your business”…and there you describe 6 STEPS. However, on STEP 4) where you say: , and this is where I get very confused and worried… You first say in the About page that we can use WPML without requiring no technical or programming skills…and no knowledge of coding” and later on the other page of your site you tell us to get a developer to build my site… Well, I am afraid this doesn’t make much sense to me, at all!. My question is clear: I WOULD buy the Multilingual CMS version at $79, but I need reassurance from your side that I will NOT require a developer with technical and programming skills or coding knowledge to get it to work. I need to have FULL GUARANTEE from your side that I can use WPML without technical and programming or coding skills, just like any other plugin such as Yoast, Woocommerce, etc. Otherwise, I am not interested in your product. My objective is to build my own website MYSELF, without a developer… So, please, let me know your comments and please let me know whether I can use your WPML multilingual CMS version without the help of a developer or not, just like other WP plugins as I already mentioned. I have a business to keep and a website to build, and time is precious, as you know. Therefore, I would very much appreciate if you could answer as soon as possible. The last thing I want to do is to buy your product and try to make it work on my website without the help of a developer and find it is impossible to do without a developer’s help or knowledge. I have no time to waste, and I don’t want to waste your time either bothering you with possible REFUNDS for my money. I hope you understand. Obviously, I understand that I may “OCCASIONNALY” require your support for details or possible technical problems, but that is clearly a different question than requiring a developer to build my website… as you suggest on STEP 4). They are two very different things, I am sure you agree!. Thank you in advance for your help. I look forward to reading your comments and clarifications by email at [email edited]. All the best, Ramon Sanz

    • Hello,
you are making a good point. I think we should revise the page and make this step optional or use other words to explain it. Thank you for letting us know. You don’t need any programming skills to use WPML, even if you need to make your WooCommerce store multilingual.

  4. I consider it as a feature request but I cannot open a new ticket because I am not a customer (yet), so I ask it here.

I refer to this post: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translation-menu-click-on-current-language-open-dropdown-instead-of-reloading/

When Raja Mohammed – or somebody else – can provide me a solution for Shopkeeper theme I will immediately buy the plugin because – as you can see on our page – we offer +12 languages and need a powerful plugin.

Looking forward to hear from you, Peter

    • Hello Richard, in this case, the Multilingual Blog package will suffice. In case it turns out that you need to translate other elements as well, you can upgrade to the CMS version later for the difference in purchase price.

  6. Hi,

I have a BigCommerce shop, divided in 2 websites:
    -UK: http://www.fortunyshop.com
    -US: us.fortunyshop.com

They are identical but they are actually 2 separate installations of the CMS as BigCommerce doesn’t let you publish multi-language and multi-currency.
The question is, I want to move everything in WooCommerce with WPML, will it be possible to translate every single feature in 3 or more languages associating to each a different currency:
    -UK->£
    -US->$
    -Europe->€
    etc.

Another question: is it possible to have a trial version of WPML for a limited time in order to test locally the website? I have to be sure that all the features I need are included.

    Thank you,
    Matteo

    • Hello Matteo,
if you ask about making a regular WooCommerce-based store available in 3 or more languages with different currencies for each, the answer is yes, that’s possible using WPML. The best way to try WPML without risking anything is to buy it with keeping our refund policy in mind. You will get access to our technical support forum and in case it turns out that WPML isn’t for you, you fill out a firm and we will refund your order. You will have 30 days to test WPML.

  7. I try to pay for a licence but the page Paypal only accept credit cards? we never use credit cards, we have cash in Paypal account, but can’t just paid normally with transaction from Paypal to WPML?
I need to get those installation today, if I don’t get a reaction and the possibility to pay on our PayPal then we will move to another company.

    Just let me know.

    • Hello Bruno,
You cannot use your PayPal account to make WPML purchases until you add a bank account or credit card information to your PayPal. This is a requirement because we set up a subscription for you. You can cancel your WPML subscription anytime (a few clicks from in your WPML account) but this is how our system works. Hope it helps.

    • Hello Richard,
it depends on how you understand “custom pages” but most likely you will need the Multilingual CMS package. You can buy the Blog and upgrade to the CMS package later for the difference in purchase price.

  8. Hi

We’d like to use the plugin on a website where the same content is reachable from five different domains. Do we need to buy “Multilingual Agency” or is “Multilingual CMS” sufficient in terms of allowed websites?

    Many thanks
    Daniel

  9. Hi!
What if not all pages have translations of new added language. For example:
1.There is a site in one language.
    2. We install WPML plugin and add additional language.
    3. We start adding translations page by page.
What will be with the pages which have no translation yet? Will they display blank content when we switch language to the new on the front of site or it’s possible to not show hreflang URLs of the untranslated pages?
And the most important question: how will it affect SEO of the original page? Is it normal and possible if not all pages have available translations in terms of search engines?

    • Hello Yuri,
You can leave some of your pages without translations, no problem. In this case, you have these two options:
      1. Skip language
      2. Link to home of language for missing translations
      offered by WPML settings.
Yes, sure, it’s normal and it won’t cause any damage in terms of SEO but of course the more pages you have translated the better.

  10. Thank you for reply!
What do you mean by “Link to home of language”? Does it mean homepage or something else? What information will be on the hreflang tag of original page for missing translation? Will it be blank or it will refer to URL with no content?

  11. I want to use your product for an english and spanish language news aggregation website. This site will aggregate news links from many different news sources, some news sources in english and some news sources in spanish. I want to be able to have the reader select their language of choice (only choices being english or spanish), so that they can then read each news link in their chosen language. Is this possible with your product?

    • Hello,
yes, it should work. It comes down to properly translating the container for your news. For example, if you embed your news into a regular WordPress page and the external articles “arrive” in the correct language, you just need to translate that page (the container). The language switcher will be applied for the page.

  12. What happens if we purchase, use for a year, then don’t renew? Does the translation disappear or shut down?

    • Hello,
Everything will continue to function normally and canceling your subscription won’t affect your plugins. The renewals are needed for plugin updates and our support assistance.

  13. Hello,

If I don’t want to pay every year, Is there any option to pay one time and get 1 site license?

    • Hello,
we don’t have any lifetime packages but if you want to pay just once, you can do so by canceling your auto-renewals. The first part of this page explains how to stop your current subscription https://wpml.org/purchase/how-to-change-your-payment-method/

If you cancel your subscription, your plugins will continue to function but you will no longer receive updates nor be able to access our support forum.

    • Hello Ali,
in this case, you can use the Multilingual Blog package. Please note that it doesn’t include the WPML String Translation plugin, which helps to translate additional strings from your site. But if your site is a relatively simple brochure site with pages, blog posts, menu(s) the Blog version should suffice. If needed, you can upgrade to the CMS package later for the difference in the purchase price and then install the additional WPML plugins.

  14. Is it possible to disable sections per translation? I.e. say I have es.domain.co.uk and uk.domain.co.uk, is it possible to disable sections on es.domain.co.uk but keep it active on the uk.domain.co.uk?

  15. Hi Agnes,

Is it possible to integrate this plugin with a non-woocommerce website? We are currently running a PHP website and looking for a currency converter solution.

    Thank you,

    Broosis Team

    • Hello Bart,
There was work in progress to achieve full compatibility. I have asked the tech team and will let you know the status via e-mail.

      Best,

  16. Hi!

I want to translate a website with WPML, it’s German so far and English will be added. But not for each page in German there will be an English one, so there are more German pages than English pages (some content is only available in German).

What happens with the language switcher on a German page that does not have a corresponding English page? Will it be displayed, where will it point to?

What happens to menu items on the English site? Will only the items be displayed that point to translated pages?

    Thanks in advance!
    Daniel

    • Hello Daniel,
thanks for your interest in WPML.

In WPML settings you will see this section:
How to handle languages without translation
      – Skip language
      – Link to home of language for missing translations

So you will have a choice – either to hide the language switcher for pages/posts without translations or to show the language switcher but redirect the user to the homepage.

  17. Hi,

    I want to know

Does WPML supports pages & articles & categories & tags (including custom type) of different language to use the same slug, for example:

    Ex. page & post url
    domain/about
    domain/zh/about
    domain/en/about

    Ex . product(page),123(post)
    doamin/product/catalog-aa/123
    doamin/product/zh/catalog-aa/123
    doamin/product/en/catalog-aa/123

    Thanks.

  18. Hi,
I am creating a news website, and I need to translate the frontend notifications from the theme and plugins which the readers will get (like on the search results page “Sorry, we couldn’t find any posts. Please try a different search.”)
I do not need to translate the WordPress admin area which I and my colleagues see, it is in English and it is fine. I just wish to translate every possible notification originating from the theme and plugins so the website is fully in my local Macedonian language.

Can WPML do this and which plan is for me and is the translation automatic or I need to translate every word/phrase one by one?

    Best Regards,

    • Hello,
are you planning to make your site multilingual (meaning running in more than one language) or you just need to translate some strings/notifications? If only to translate some strings but the site uses only one language, you don’t need WPML. You can use the Loco Translate plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/

  19. iI connect our bank to paypal and we still have that problem? we can’t pay with transfer the funds to WPML.

We are located in the Netherlands so it should work.

    Let me know,
    Bruno

  20. Hey, I just bought WPML for CMS from you, got the receipt and the email with username and password, but it doesn’t work (fails with error “ERROR: Incorrect username or password.”)

Something wrong on your end? I used copy/paste from the email and tried about three times, so I’m pretty sure it’s not my side. You have my email address, email me please (why isn’t there a phone number for support for new purchasers?)
