  1. Hello there!

I am trying to buy “multilinguag agency” licence. When I enter VAT number, TAX is still in calculation of the price. As you know if company has VAT number, then the TAX should not be charged. What should I do to get the correct price and then pay on paypal?

    Regards,
    Marko

  2. Hi!

I used your WPML plugin on project last year. Its been a year so my support and updates ran out. However, I’m noticing that my WPML plugin is giving me a security warning saying there are XSS vulnerabilities that are fixed in newer versions:

    https://wpvulndb.com/vulnerabilities/9698

I’m not sure my best bet on how to move forward. Any suggestions? I was happy to purchase the plugin when we were developing the project, but I’m a little hesitant to have to invest every time an exploit is discovered. Happy to discuss further!

    Thanks!

    Ryan

  3. Hello,
I would like to know what happens if you’ve used the plugin with multiple languages (let’s say 4 languages) and I decide to remove the plugin. What will happen to the site? Will it remain the same or will it no longer allow the user to see all the languages? What effects will this have on the front-end and back-end?

    • If you delete/deactivate the WPML plugin, all your posts and pages from different languages will be displayed together (will be mixed up). For example, imagine you have a blog with 3 posts in English and so far they’ve had Spanish translations. After disabling WPML, when you visit the blog page you will see 6 posts on the same site. 3 will be in English and 3 in Spanish because removing WPML doesn’t delete the translations.

Please note that you can use WPML plugins even if you don’t renew your subscription but you will lose access to new releases and our support help.

  4. Hello guys,

I want to purchase WPML for a site I’m building, but my client is not sure he wants to pay for it yet.

Is there a free (limited) version we can try, or a demo we can install on our site?

    Kind regards,
    Nick

  5. Hello!

A question about license renewal of Multilingual CMS. In FAQ, I read that if one does not renew his license, the WPML plugin will continue to work, but there will be no support, nor ability to download new versions of the plugin. My question is this – if we wish to renew our license again later (after using WPML with an expired license for a while), what policies do apply? Will we have to pay the full price ($79), or just the renewal price ($59)?

  6. I am trying to develop a Woocommerce store with vuestorefront.io as my frontend. Will your plugin be of any help in integrating language? Especially in frontend functions?

    Looking forward to your response.

  7. Hi,

We are a developer company and we have a new customer that have the WPML plugin installed.
When we make upgrade the plugins, the license stopped working.

The customer not have (because not find) the https://wpml.org/ access and it is impossible to upgrade the plugin WPML e/or change the Licence URL.

What we or customer need/can do, to recover the licence?

    Beste regards

  8. Hi,

I don’t understand if I buy the Multilingual Agency and I don’t renew the license, the website that is using the plugin will be affected by it (regardless of the updates and support)?

I want to use your plugin for my clients and I want to know if I’ll stop the service in the future these sites will be affected by it.

    Thanks.
    Omri

  9. Hello!

We need to translate a site that has several PDF documents. We have a need to translate the PDF to Spanish. Does your plugin allow us to change what document the site links to depending on the translation selected?

    • Hello Kristin,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
I don’t know any specifics about how you link to your pdfs but in general, it should work fine. If you use regular pages and you insert simple links to pdf which you have uploaded to your site, it will work because using WPML you create a separate page for each of your pages but in another language. And it’s up to you what content will sit inside.

  10. hi

client is from a country that speaks reads non english

if i was to buy your product to translate wordpress english site to client’s language, is it then

    thanks

    • Hello,
we don’t have lifetime licenses. But renewals are optional and required only for new versions and our support help.

  11. Hi, before I buy the plugin, I have a question.
This plugin translate also the URL of mother pages, I do an example:
If i have the page http://www.ciao/ciao-2 and i want to translate the URL of the page “ciao-2” in order to make it become “hello-2”.
It will be translated also the URL of the “mother” page (“ciao”), in order to have that URL: http://www.hello/hello-2/ ???
    Hope you understand.
    Bye.

  12. Hi.
In travel and tourism, quite often, there is a need for a multicultural site as well as multilingual one. The difference is that in the multicultural site, the landing page for each language can be not just translated but featuring completely different layout and CTA elements.
The most common use case is in wine routes regions, where there is a difference in how to offer wine tasting tours to French, Japanese or German visitors.

Is this something that could be achieved with your plugin? For example, each language on the subdomain, with automatic language detection and routing based on browser/OS language setup?

    Thank you for your answer.

    Cheers.

  13. Hello,

I am maintaining a website which was originally setup by another developer (meaning I do not have access to their WPML account).

Our subscription is due to expire on 14 Feb 2020, and I’d like to purchase a new licence to cover this website going forward. My questions are:

    1. I have no idea if they currently have a Blog or Multilingual CMS licence. How do I identify this? I’m thinking the Multilingual CMS licence would be best.

    2. If I purchase a new licence, can I apply it to an existing website without deactivating or having to reconfigure the plugin?

I will not disclose the name of the website on a public forum. Could someone contact me privately? You do not have a contact form as far as I can tell.

    thanks
    Andrew

  14. Hi, we are looking into options for translation a few of our International sites. I read somewhere that WPML may be free for non-profits. Is this true? And if so, what is the process for applying and how many sites could we use the free license on? Thank you!

    • Hello Scott, we used to have free licenses (about two years ago) but no longer have this offer. You would need to buy WPML as everyone else. Thanks for checking.

  15. English: I purchased the $ 29 of the plugin. but I have to do all the translations in this. the plugin does nothing. There seems to be an automatic translation in the $ 79 package. Can I give my own package another $ 50 and upgrade it? and 2000 words translation would be enough for me on my website?

Türkçe: eklentinin 29 dolarlık olanını satın aldım. ancak bunda tüm çevirileri benim yapmam gerekiyor. eklentinin yaptığı hiçbir şey yok. 79 dolarlık pakette otomatik çeviri var görünüyor. ben kendi paketimi 50 dolar daha verip bu pakete geçirebilir miyim? ve 2000 kelimelik çeviri bana internet sitemde yeterli olurmu?

    • Hello,
yes, you can upgrade to the CMS package. Please log into your WPML account and then upgrade. Our system will calculate the difference in the purchase price and you don’t need to pay the whole price again. Then you need to install the WPML Translation Management plugin (in your WordPress go to Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial) and in WPML Settings choose Automatic Translation Editor. Please use our support forum for further technical questions. I don’t know how big is your site but yes, you will get 2000 words for free and if you need more words, please see the pricing: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/

  16. Hi,

I want to purchase the Multilingual CMS package. Is the price ($79) a one-time price? Or I need to pay every year?

    Thank you

    • Hello James,
you pay $79 for all WPML plugins, 1-year access to updates and our support help. You can cancel your subscription anytime and still use WPML. Renewals are needed only for updates and our support assistance. WPML plugins will continue working even if you don’t renew your WPML subscription.

  17. Hello, I am a WordPress developer. Want to buy WPML for my one of the new project. But the client wants to add Somali, Swahili, French, Vietnamese, and Khmer these languages.
As I see Swahili and Khmer are not there in WPML. So can I integrate them easily? I don’t have much knowledge of PHP and language localization too. 🙂

  18. Hi,

Our subscription has expired a month ago. And we want to use the plugin for a new website. Is it possible? Or we can just use it we setup before the expired date?

    • Yes, if you didn’t delete your plugin files, you can use them again, also for a new website but you won’t be able to register the site without an active subscription. Registration is required for new updates and our support help.

  19. What does 2000 words mean in automatic translation? up to 2000 words on a page? up to 2000 words on a website? 2000-word translation for 1 visitor?

If there are not 2000 different words on our website, will this package be enough for us?

Can you show a sample website using a 2000-word translation?

    • Hello Hasan,
2000 words mean you can translate this amount through automatic translation. It can be done across different urls or languages. It is processed only once and the translation remains on your WordPress site, so visitors can switch languages as many times as needed. So, for example:
a website with 2000 words can be translated to one language, or 2 using 1000 words of automatic translation for each language. Once the translation exists it will stay available on the site.

      Hope this explains things?

      • If the word “car” in one url is translated in another url, if both of them are translated, are two words translated? or does 1 word because the words are the same?

        • WPML has a feature called “Translation Memory!. However, I’m afraid it works only for one site and still can’t connect different translations coming from different sites.

          Regards,
          Andrés
