One more question, All of my translation is same in about 200 pages, so once it is translated in one page automatically i donot have to do them for other 200 pages right since they are the same. Also should i pay for the one page automatic translations word count (1000 words) or for all the 200 pages (200 x 1000) ?
Hello, can you please explain how 200 pages can use the same translation? It’s hard for me to imagine that but probably I’m not following… Our ATE editor provides translation memory which you could use for the same words.
I sell car lights almost all the lights have same description, you can check my website to confirm it’s like 200 pages, 100 headlights and 100 tail lights so 100 headlights have same description except for one sentence which is the name of the car the rest is the same, my website regerra.com, so I won’t have to pay for the same translation again and again for each page right?
Hello,
I consulted your case with our ATE expert and here’s what he says:
“I will try to explain
when user send a job, it technically means that he sends some big portions of html markup to us
ATE system on its side does work for splitting big html into small html segments (usually they are sentences)
this algorithm of convertation is complex and highly depends on original big html
translation memory is built from small html segments which are individually saved by system
so, when you modify your website and re-send some already translated page
the algorithm once again converts big html into small html segments
and in most cases the same sentences are converted to the same segments as they were in the original and only modified ones will be delivered as new
but it is not completely guaranteed, it is possible to make a such change which will end with another segmentation changes.
so sometimes you can get more untranslated sentences then you expect, but this is not happening often
in most cases your created translation memory provides you a high chance to not pay twice for a translated work
that’s it basically”
I hope it will help you understand better how our ATE editor and the translation process works
There is not an automatic button translation on the products or page section. In order to access to it, you need to send your products to translation and use our ATE (Advanced Translation Editor).
Here below you can find more information about it.
i mean i cant find ATE in products tab, i can find them in posts and pages however. The automatic translate button i can find for products in woocommerce>multilingual tab
If you have already activated our ATE in WPML > Settings > How to translate posts and pages, you should be able to access to translate your site with products.
I want to use your plugin for a client of mine, but I need to know a couple of things:
where are stored the translated pages, in my database, clouds, your servers?
Very important question: would I be able to use the standard search function of wordpress to search all the translated pages?
Thanks in advance
Paola Palma
Hello,
the translated pages are stored in your database.
“would I be able to use the standard search function of wordpress to search all the translated pages?” Yes, it’s relevant to the language. If you perform the search on the Spanish version it will search the Spanish pages.
we are facing issues with a javascript element and our previous translation plugin. is your plugin compatible with jquery elements? will you guys provide support to set up things for us related to issues after translation?
Hello Sadia,
Thank you for your interest in WPML.
issues with jquery elements is a broad topic. It must be theme related, conflicts with other plugins, anything. If you buy WPML and see that those issues persist, you can open a ticket in our support forum and our supporters will investigate it. You will be able to use our refund policy for 30 days after purchasing WPML in case there is nothing we can do.
Hello, we need more details. Please open a ticket in our support forum and explain what exactly you click and what you get and what you would expect to get instead.
Hi there. Recently I got someone with a website from 2012 with some problems updating plugins (gee, I wonder why…). At first I thought it was ACF that gave problems (because of errors). And it was, but after that I realised to following.
This site has wpml 2.2.2.1 (thats about 150 versions old!). So that must be updated for sure. My question now is, of course I can buy wpml, but is it worth it?
Can you let me know if it is possible to update this 8 years old version with the latest one?
Or what the right procedure for this might be…..I can imaging there have been some database updates between that time 🙂
WordPress version is updated to latest version by the way
Hello Raymond,
yes, it’s worth a try for sure. First reason is security. It’s not safe to use such an old version. Also e our supporters can duplicate your site and investigate the exact issues.
Hello,
I’m asking our admin to check it but in the meanwhile could you please provide more details? What exactly you do and what happens – do you get any message?
Our admin thinks it is not yet the time to renew you. Your subscription is currently active and it will expire on July 19, 2020
He can’t see any note in the order or in the subscription regarding a failed renewal attempt.
Furthermore, it is a subscription, so it will automatically renew without your intervention. Could you please explain what exactly to try to do, what’s happening and what you would expect to happen? Thank you.
Pre-sales questions please:
1. How much do your human translators cost?
2. Are they translating “by hand” so to speak, as in re-writing the content so that it reads correctly and has the same meaning etc in the translated language?
3. Are these translators guaranteed?
4. On your home page when I switch to Spanish the url adds a “ES” after the wpml.org, so that it is wpml.org/es/content. Does it does this automatically or do have to enable that? If I do, how?
Hello,
1. each service has its own pricing. Please use this page and click on the Get a quote button https://wpml.org/translation-service/
2. Those are real humans behind it so the text will read very well.
3. We get positive reviews.
4. It’s done automatically when you add the language to your site during the initial setup.
hi team, I would like to purchase your product but I have a question I am not sure about.
I need to add for example 4 different languages on the site but those 3 are english. Woud like to have subdomains for CA, UK, NZ, US and display different pages for each of this countries.
Is that possible?
Yes, it’s possible but you need to add special codes for each language manually: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
If you are not sure about the language codes, please open a support ticket in our forum and our supporters will give you a hand.
I am looking to install your plug-in for a website I am working on, but need to know what the all in cost is for your site (including automatic translations).
The Multilingual CMS which includes all WPML plugins costs $79 + VAT (VAT is not added if you provide your European VAT number). If you would like to use machine translations, here’s the pricing:
Hi there, do you happen to know whether WPML works well with the GetLeads highperformance-landing-page-wordpress-theme? It’s not one of WordPress’ own themes, that’s why I am asking.
Many thanks, Matthias
Hello,
the 25% discount is calculated on the initial price of the plugin, not on the price of the update. We are sending this particular newsletter to clients that have “No automatic renewal” because they risk losing the 25% discount that we apply on updated subscriptions. This means that if the subscription is not manually renewed before the expiration date, you will have to pay the full price to get WPML plugins again.
How would you “best practice” solve the following use case example:
We have an existing Site A (in Language A) which we want to clone into Site B (auto/manually translated to language B).
Site B (in language B) will be a 100% separate WordPress site in a separate Site B language domain.
What is “best practice” to clone all existing settings/theme/plugins/files and start working on translations thereafter?
For the translation process, do you have a suggestion for an additional translation plugin to ease the translation process from Site A to Site B?
– Please notice that the new Site B will NOT be multi-lingual – just a plain translation of most pages/posts from Site A.
– Please notice that all URL’s, Yoast SEO, tags, image file names, etc. will be fully translated too.
The original Site A is hosted with Digital Ocean, so an initial Droplet-copy could also be an option.
By design, WPML needs at least two languages in order to work correctly. That means that you would need to have a site with Language A and B installed. However, you could try something like the following:
– Create your site A.
– Translate it into B.
– Set B as your default language.
– Hide your Language A or uninstall WPML.
This may work, however, we recommend you to create a backup first, test it and open a ticket in our support forum if needed.
Hi,
I’m planning on purchasing the Multilingual CMS plan, and I want to know if I can upgrade it to the Multilingual Agency later on. And if yes, how is the upgrade price is calculated?
Hello,
we don’t have any lifetime option if that’s what you are asking about. If you want to have access to new updates and our support help, you pay each year. If you don’t renew, you can still use WPML plugins but won’t get new versions.

I cant find ATE editor for my product description page
Hello, what do you mean on your product description page? ATE is included in the CMS and Agency packages.
I cant find the translate automatically button on products section, I can find them then in posts or pages however I can’t find them in products part
There is not an automatic button translation on the products or page section. In order to access to it, you need to send your products to translation and use our ATE (Advanced Translation Editor).
Here below you can find more information about it.
To send contents to translation:

Before I buy your plugin, this plugin works with Enfold theme?
I am getting problem with it.
Hello,
yes, we are compatible with the Enfold theme:
https://wpml.org/theme/enfold/
Can you install it for me?
No, we cannot but you can request such kind of job from one of our consultants: https://wpml.org/contractors/
Is the plugin compatible with The Fox theme?
According to their changelog:
https://themeforest.net/item/thefox-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/11099136
it is but it wasn’t checked by our Compatibility Team.
Regarding WPML checking our existing web content it would be appox 5000 words and see their is a limit of 2000 per month.
What would be the additional cost for the extra words (this will be a one time translation).
Please see the pricing here:

Yes, you are, provided you translate your pages independently.

I need to increase my words allotted to 100,000 words, is this possible?
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Thanks for your time and help!
Yes, it is. You can request as many words as needed.
Hello, I wanted to buy the WPML Plugin for a client. Will the Plugin keep on running if I don’t renew my WPML account after 1 year? Thanks
Yes, it will. Renewals are needed only for support and new versions.

Hi, thank you for your interest in WPML but unfortunately, we have zero information about the theme. I was never tested by our Compatibility Team. I haven’t found any info about WPML compatibility on their site either: https://themeforest.net/item/getleads-highperformance-landing-page-wordpress-theme/16264835
The only way to test it is to do it yourself – to buy WPML with our refund policy in mind.
Hi, I just received an email about the upcoming renewal with 25% discount but in my account i see only the regular upgrade price without the discount.
Hello,
the 25% discount is calculated on the initial price of the plugin, not on the price of the update. We are sending this particular newsletter to clients that have “No automatic renewal” because they risk losing the 25% discount that we apply on updated subscriptions. This means that if the subscription is not manually renewed before the expiration date, you will have to pay the full price to get WPML plugins again.
Best practice clone/translation of a full site?

Hi Agnes,
Thank you for the reply.
The email subject is very misleading anyway…
Hi, is there any discounts for not for profit companies or charities please?
Regards
Nuno
I’m sorry Adalberto but we don’t have anything… Thanks for checking anyway.
Is there an option to show different languages as folders when we purchase the add-on? for example:
domain.com/ar/ Arabic
domain.com/en/ English
can we show like?
Yes, that’s the default option.
Is this feature available at the annual $ 29 purchase?
Yes, setting languages as subfolders is available in the main WPML plugin, meaning it will also work in the Block package.
Hi,
I’m planning on purchasing the Multilingual CMS plan, and I want to know if I can upgrade it to the Multilingual Agency later on. And if yes, how is the upgrade price is calculated?
Hello,
our system will calculate proportionately so you will pay the difference in purchase price between the two.
I want to translate website, lifetime fee? Vietnamese
Hello,
we don’t have any lifetime option if that’s what you are asking about. If you want to have access to new updates and our support help, you pay each year. If you don’t renew, you can still use WPML plugins but won’t get new versions.
