Do you offer a special discount due COVID-19? My business is affected with loss of clients, and need to reconsider payments. Any discount for renewals? Thanks
Hello Gabriel, we don’t have any discounts for the first year but please look around some of our affiliates might have something. For the years that follow we do have discounts for our existing customers, the price for the WPML CMS package is $59 and you can see the pricing in this table: https://wpml.org/purchase/ when you take a look at the “Account renewal per year” row.
I made my paiement since this morning and I still didn’t receive the link to download the files so I can install my pluggin can somebody send the link to install itr please
Hello,
are you sure that your order has completed? It doesn’t look it has. Our system says “This user has no subscriptions for this status.” which is usually the case when the related order didn’t complete. I’m gonna ask my colleagues to further check your status.
May I know more about “3 websites you can register”?
If I have an English version website, and I would like to translate to Japanese, Chinese, Italian. Does it count for 3 websites? and if I want the website to translate to more languages, will this mean I have to use the unlimited websites?
Please clarify for me, thank you.
Hi,
it counts as one. You can add as many languages as you need to your site. 3 websites means the ability to register WPML on 3 separate WordPress installs/domains. For example, many of our customers are web developers and they want to buy one WPML subscription and use it for more than one customer.
Hello,
when you buy WPML your card needs to be active for the moment of your purchase. You can add funds to your card later. What matters is that you need to have enough money when it comes to renewal. But your plugins will still work even if you miss your renewal. You will lose access to updates and our support forum if you don’t renew.
Hello,
I didn’t know you are our existing customer (here we reply to pre-sales questions. In the future please use our support forum to get your reply faster). I checked your account and it will expire on July 6, 2020. If you would like to change your current payment method, please follow this link: https://wpml.org/purchase/how-to-change-your-payment-method/
I have a .com e-commerce site (currently most traffic is coming from my country, Singapore) and would like to target some other countries too, like Australia, UK, USA where all the languages are the same, English.
1) will WPML create subfolders for this 3 like below?
.com/au/
.com/uk/
.com/us/
2) I saw on 1 of your page it will create virtual folders, are they the same as subfolders/subdirectories?
3) hreflang tags will be input automatically? as all 3 subdirectories are in the same language (with slightly different content, eg, price and some text)
4) in my google search console will I be able to see the data in “international targeting”?
Hello,
1. yes, you can create subfolders for different versions of English but you will need to add those languages manually. Please check this video to understand how: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
2. From the visitor perspective, yes
3. Yes, it will be added automatically
4. I’m sorry but I’m not an expert in the Google search console. If this feature is a show stopper for your purchase, please let us know and I will ask our developers to check it out for you. Please let me know what exactly you would like us to check.
I will purchase this for translating a GeoDirectory site which also uses Elementor & UsersWP. I am not using any additional custom post types, just GD and its addons.
Will the base level of WPML (Multilingual Blog) be ok for this?
Hello Dave,
to make your Elementor-based site multilingual you need to have the “Multilingual CMS” package. What do you mean by “GeoDirectory site”? Is GeoDirectory a theme or a plugin? Anyway, to check all themes that have been checked for WPML compatibility by our Compatibility Team please use this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/, for plugins: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
Hello,
yes, you chance the primary language later but please note that the URLs might change (depending on which option you’ve chosen for your languages) so better to do it before you link to your secondary-lang pages. Yes, we have an option for the browser detection to set the language automatically for the visitor but it’s disabled by default.
Dear,
I am a freelance wordpress dev. I usually build 2-3 simple websites for my customers every year. I plan to buy WPML but considering between CMS and Agency.
If I buy Agency plan in this year, I know that I can not perform an update of WPML plugin to the sites built in this year while the plugin will still work until the sites shutdown, but is it possible to continue installing WPML plugin for the new sites will be built in the next year, even if I don’t renew my subscription?
I have such a question because if I can not install WPML plugin to the new sites after subscription ended, I will consider the CMS plan instead of Agency. Just to save the cost, because not all of my customers will need the update of the plugin, maybe some of them will need to.
I am working on a WordPress website and it is just for testing purposes. When I complete my website I will migrate the website to another domain for production phase.
If I purchase the “Multilingual Blog” plan, am I having a problem when I migrate to another domain?
Or does this mean that I have to purchase the “Multilingual CMS” plan (which I can register for 3 websites)?
Hello, no need to buy a separate account for this. You can go to your WPML account (-> sites) and delete your current key along with your current domain and register a new one with a new domain. However, you might need to purchase the “Multilingual CMS” plan or upgrade to if it turns out that the features we offer in the Blog package are not enough to translate everything in your existing site.
Hello,
I’m asking our admins to look into your case to understand what happened. We’ll keep you posted. If it turns out that you were charged twice, of course we will sort it out and refund your order. Let us check the details.
Hello our admin has manually disabled the automatic renewal for your inactive subscription (the double one) to prevent from charging next year. We will refund your order related to the inactive subscription so that you can still be able to use the active subscription till the end of it. My colleague Mercedes Barreda will get in touch with you.
Hello,
I would like to make multisite network with different site/domain per language and translate pages from one site to another with string translation/translation editor. So I don’t have to recreate page for translations but I just translate text and WPML creates translated version of the page. This thing: https://cdn.wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/6-wpml-translation-editor.png
I want separate multisite sites for separate domains because when I use one site (with WPML multidomain option) then some plugins wont work correctly and it’s a mess. Also it’s better for SEO and specific settings if I separate sites like this.
If you would like to use a separate subdomain from your WordPress Multisite network for each of your languages then better to use another plugin (from https://multilingualpress.org/).
Hi!
I have an old account, and when I want to renew the service I see that is for 3 websites, but now I want to buy an WPML to use in unlimited sites, is there any possibility to have a discount or to pay the renewal with an extra price for the unlimited sites?
Thanks!
Hello,
first, you need to renew it with your current package (CMS) and then you will be able to upgrade it to the Agency plan (our system will calculate the difference between two packages and proportionally to what you have already paid). So please log into your WPML account and continue from there.
Hi there, I’m using the materstudy theme and need to translate my WordPress site into 7 different languages (Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and French), I was just wondering what “2000 words between any language pair every month” means exactly and how far that would get me.
Does it mean I can only autotranslate 2000 word per month all up, or per language?
I intend to do all translations automatically then get some international friends to make corrections where needed.
Does this plugin can help me to have different product stock quantities as per country?
for example product 1 not available in country A and product 1 has 5 available in country B
And after buying the license if I configure the site key plugin on staging site to test it. And if work everything well, then can I use same site key on Live site? Or do I have to buy one more license for the live?
In short can I transfer the license one domain to another domain?
Basically you need to log into your WPML account, go to Sites and you will be able to delete/add a new key from there. Then you need to do the same on your WP site (Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial tab)
I’m thinking about setting up a WordPress site in three countries all with the English language at first. Later on I might want to add more countries and languages like French and Portuguese.
Can I start with the English sites at first and later on install the WPML for expanding to other markets and languages? Or should I add it right from the start?
Hello
Do you have a way we can evaluate your translation into Chinese simplified from English please? It would good to speak to someone as well. My number is 17788810188 an dI ma happy to call you but there is no number.

We are looking at a software that can translate the webpage as soon as it is loaded up. In a sense automatic.
Thank you. We don’t want to translate the pieces then place on web. Our site is up and when users more comfortable with a different language select a language the software translates it automatically.
We are planning to buy the WPML CMS for translation and multi currency changed.
And we have some question want to clarify.
Does all content can be translated when switch the language? Including the plugins that we used?
Regards the multi Currency, when we switched the currency, if the currency and all amount also switched? And there is a customized plugin with woocommerce and including the amount.
Please check below link, and you can click the “Price calculation formula” for see how is working for attributes amount. https://www.modern-tee.com/design-editor/?product_base=2&product_cms=17222
Hello,
only content from the plugins that are compatible with WPML will be fully translated. Please check the list here: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
It’s hard to tell what will happen with plugins that are not on that list. Some might work our of the box while you might have issues with others. We provide the WooCommerce Multilingual add-on that allows you to setup currencies in different languages along with the currency switcher and also translate your WooCOmmerce products but if you use any WooCommerce extensions, please check this list.
I am looking for a feature that allows me to write my blog in two languages. I speak English and German and I would like to be able to direcly enter content in both languages. Hey Matt, yes, it is. We will send you the plugin but if you could wait a bit – we are going to have a new release soon (next week if I’m not mistaken) and then we can send you the plugin so that you can have the latest version.
I’m adding you to my list of users who requested this.
I am trying to set up a multi currency website with stripe where if someone pays in GBP it would go into my UK stripe account and if someone paid in EUR it would go into euro stripe account so on checkout it would need to change the API keys for the payment gateway, I came across someone in a support forum saying that this was now possible with WPML is this correct? What would be the procedure for setting this up would it be a multi site?
When you add a Stripe account into WooCommerce, you need to add your key fields into WooCommerce settings. So technically speaking, it is possible to translate those fields and add different keys according to the language. However, I’m not sure about how Stripe will process that information as per design, WooCommerce is capable to handle only one Stripe account per site.
That would be great if you could share the link for that support thread and, if necessary, open a ticket in our support forum: https://wpml.org/forums/
I can’t submit a ticket without purchasing!! What should i do? I saw some similar tickets on there but not quite the same would love to be able to ask a few questions in there and see if anyone has tried this method you suggested
Indeed, Luke. In that case, you could buy a license and use our plugins and access to our support within the 30 days of your purchase. If it is not what your project need, you’ll be able to ask for a refund directly from your WPML account.
Thank you very much Luke. However, what Konrad shared there is the possibility to select a gateway per language. For what you are looking for, WooCommerce itself should allow you to create several Stripe accounts which is not the case.
You could also try to translate your Stripe keys but honestly, I’m not sure if that should work as it is a WooCommerce restriction.

to make your Elementor-based site multilingual you need to have the “Multilingual CMS” package. What do you mean by “GeoDirectory site”? Is GeoDirectory a theme or a plugin? sorry one more question.
After translating to my second language is there an option to make it the first language, so make it the default?
Or do you have a browser detection to set the language automatically for the visitor?

You can also buy the CMS package and upgrade to the Agency package later for the difference in the purchase price.
Dear Agnes Bury,
Thanks a lot for your information and useful advice.
I think I will buy CMS plan first and will upgrade later may be next year.

Hello,
if you want to use WPML with the different domain per language, it’s possible but some extra setup on your server is required, as explained here:
https://wpml.org/tutorials/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
Ok, but I asked about MULTISITE setup where every site is different language.
Thanks.
If you would like to use a separate subdomain from your WordPress Multisite network for each of your languages then better to use another plugin (from https://multilingualpress.org/).
Ok, thanks.
I hope you will someday make it possible even with WPML.

Hello Dave,
now we offer 10000 words, please see here:

The page also explains how we charge if you use more words than available in that free quota.
Hi,
Presale question.
Does this plugin can help me to have different product stock quantities as per country?
for example product 1 not available in country A and product 1 has 5 available in country B
Hello Norman,
No, it doesn’t. Actually how our plugins work is the opposite: we sync the stock between languages.
We are planning to buy the WPML CMS plan, but my clients want to see how this plugin works on the staging environment.
May I know how I can check the plugin?
Hello,
The only way to test WPML on your WP site is to buy it with our refund policy in mind: https://wpml.org/purchase/purchase-process/
And after buying the license if I configure the site key plugin on staging site to test it. And if work everything well, then can I use same site key on Live site? Or do I have to buy one more license for the live?
In short can I transfer the license one domain to another domain?
Hello Ajay,
You can delete the old url and register the new one as long as your subscription is active. You can do this as many time as you want.
Kind regards,
Is there any documentation available, from where I can follow the instruction to delete url and register new url.
Thanks,
Ajay

Hello Phillip.
Do you mean the translated text? If you are planning to use automatic translation, we use Microsoft services for this. More info here https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/#automatic-translation
We are looking at a software that can translate the webpage as soon as it is loaded up. In a sense automatic.
Thank you. We don’t want to translate the pieces then place on web. Our site is up and when users more comfortable with a different language select a language the software translates it automatically.
Hello,
if you expect your content to be translated in one go, this is not possible with WPML. We do provide machine translations but they need to be applied for the posts/pages you’ve selected. This video will help you understand the idea.
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
Hi Mercedes
I am not a technical person so if you could assist. If I give this link to my technical person can it then be loaded to our site and used?
Hello, I’ve just replied to your previous comment. Please let me know what other assistance you would need.
