1- do you offer discounts for usa not for profit organizations?
2- can i use a single license subscription for my development site or does one need to buy another license
How the translated page would be integrated into the host listing?
Is something that will be integrated by the plugin or the script developer has to do some work on the script?
Hello Antonio,
I am not sure I fully understand your question but let me try with this:
WPML is a plugin that once installed on your site. it will create the new language version(s) within the same WordPress install. There is no need for further coding. This article may help https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-tables/
The version you will need depends on the content you want to translate: Blog for entries, posts and pages. The CMS for the complete translation of your site.
On the homepage there will be a welcome message (body text), along with 3 text links:
Enter (British) – Enter (Chinese) – Enter (Spanish)
Does WPML have the ability to apply text links to a relevant translated page,
(e.g. if a customer come to the homepage, and selected on the Enter text for “Chinese” would this link then take the customer to a translated chinese version of the next page?
We currently have a website with an Avada Theme and it is in french. I would like to translate the site to English, and I’m wondering how to do it. I was told that the WPML will work with the theme, but want confirmation that it will translate my site 100%.
Can you advise if WPML will work for our charity’s website? If so, what are the costs associated with this?
Yes, WPML works fine with Avada and lets you translate pages that you create with Avada’s Fusion Builder. You will need to get the Multilingual CMS account: https://wpml.org/purchase/
Hello there, I am not a developer, but I have built my website by myself just by watching youtube videos and reading tutorials etc. Now, I want my complete site to be in two more languages and I will do the translation myself. I only have one website and I do not intend to have another one but I do want everything translated not just my blog.
Looks like you’ve built your site using Elementor. WPML works great with Elementor and allows you to translate everything that you design.
The right package for you is Multilingual CMS, which includes all of WPML’s components. You will need the String Translation and Translation Management (included) to conveniently translate Elementor texts.
Amir, thanks so very much for your reply and advice. I will work on looking and the tutorial and use the plan you have suggested. Thanks, all the best. Ana
SportsPress plugin is still in our compatibility list. However, our Compatibility team is investigating it again as there were some issues opened since the plugin was originally tested 6 years ago. https://wpml.org/plugin/sportspress/
In that case, you can buy a license and test your SportsPress plugin with WPML during the first 30 days and check if you can achieve what your project needs during this time and ask any question in our support chat.
Yes, Arabic is one of WPML pre-installed languages. You can also create a new language in case you want to create a local of any of the languages already installed.
Здравствуйте,

I want to purchase your WPML plugin to translate a blog. But I want to ask:
In the light of the Corana Virus. I pray to you, to give me 50% discount, because my country is locked down and I am doing this platform to create a forum where people can discuss.
Hello,
please use this form https://wpml.org/home/contact-us/contact-form/ and describe shortly how your site will help people. We would like to help but recently we’ve been getting many questions like these and we need to be sure this is a real help. Thank you.
-I would like to know if with WPML is possible to “translate” a URL of a video or image. For example, one Elementor video widget has a URL for that video. But I have 2 versions of that video with voice in another language, so in English, the URL will be different than the URL of that video in Spanish. ¿Is it possible to use a different URL on each page?
-The same for an embed of a Soundcloud audio, the URLs will be different for each language…
-And a URL of a video inside LearnDash, the same question.
-The design of a page, Can be different in one language? For example to not show a section in one language or not show some image or video, etc. Or will it only be possible to translate strings but pages need to be identical?
-I would like to use WPML to translate a site made with Elementor and with a membership with MemberPress + LearnDash plugins. Is WPML compatible with these 3 plugins? Will I be able to translate everything? Including transactional emails, checkout page, login page, thank you page,… all the lessons,… etc.?
About LearnDash plugin, it is in our Compatibility list. However, at this moment only the manual translation (WordPress editor) is available for it. https://wpml.org/plugin/learndash-lms/
As you can see, we recommend to translate Elementor using our Advanced Translation Editor but you can translate your LearnDash only with the manual translation. One possible solution could be to translate regular pages with our ATE and the everything related to LearnDash with WordPress editor, but I can’t tell you if any possible conflict could appear. It would depend on how your site has been created.
Under theses circumstances, you could give it a try and use our support if needed. We may be able to help you with your project.
then, inside LearnDash, if I can’t use that Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), then I will not be able to translate the URL of a video, right?
And about compatibility with MemberPress?
Also, I was asking this question: “-The design of a page, Can be different in one language? For example to not show a section in one language or not show some image or video, etc. Or will it only be possible to translate strings but pages need to be identical? ”
-And what about the performance? I’m reading that WPML is a heavy plugin. Is that right?
– About having different contents and layouts, this is something that you can achieve when you use WordPress editor. However, when you use our ATE or CTE, WPML copies your original structure into its translation, then, you can’t have different blocks.
I am planning to have a multilingual news website and I am not clear if WPML fits my needs.
1) This is regarding the slug translation of the post in different languages. I would like to maintian same URL/slug for all my post and categories for two languages and a different slug for one language. For example: a post slug in English would look like website.com/category/article-name. I would like to maintain same slug for the post in tamil language except for the addition of language indicator in the slug. Ex: website.com/ta/category/article-name. And now I would like to have the slug in spanish as website.com/es/categoria/nombre-del-articulo. Is it possible with WPML?
2) Which version of WPML I should buy for this if I have to convert entire website including the strings?
3) Does WPML permit translation of selective content? I mean to have different posts and content in different languages? Ex: Post 1 can only be in English (default language), Post 2 can only be Spanish, and Post-3 Can be in both the languages so that I have Post 1 and 3 appear in the Enlgish version of the website and Post-2 and Post-3 appear on the Spanish version of the website.
4) I am developing my website on a localhost. If I buy WPML now for my localhost, shall I have to buy another licencse when I go for actual live site on a webhost?
5) What if I buy a license and doesn’t renew the license after one year. Will I not be able to manual translate new content after one year?
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WPML.
1. Yes, that’s possible.
2. Multilingual CMS.
3. Yes, WPML allows that.
4. No need to buy a separate license.
5. Yes, in that case, you will still be able to use WPML plugins and provide your own translations, but you will lose access to future versions of our plugins and our support help.
Hello there,
I was wondering if the multilingual blog subscription is compatible with the elementor plug in? I do not want to spend 29$ to figure out that it is not working and it has just been a waste…
Hi, I bought a WPML license in 2018, which as I recall has the possibility of installing it on a maximum of 3 websites. Currently it only works in one and I would like to know if the possibility of adding it to another website is in force.
I have my username and password but I have not saved my purchase code.
Can you confirm the validity of my license with this information?
I would also like to be confirmed if the MagPlus – Blog, Magazine Elementor WordPress Theme is compatible with WPML.
I await your comments

Hello Fabio,
I see your CMS subscription is active and you should be able to register up to 3 sites. Can you try again and confirm?
About the theme we have not tested it but it should work well kf it was coded following WP standards. You can try it and if needed ask for help at our forum. Here is a list of the themes we have tested https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
Waiting for your confirmation about registering the sites
Hello, I am building my the website for my business and I would like it to be in English and Spanish.
Would I be able to change the wording on each language without altering the other one?
Would I be using the same website address or could I use two different domains?
thank you
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML. Yes, you can build a website that will be in English and Spanish. I’m not sure if I understand the question about changing the wording on each language without altering the other one. Here’s how WPML works: by default, you provide the translations but if you would like to use machine translations, it’s also possible but you need to enable the ATE editor in WPML settings. Yes, you can change/edit the machine translation that will be provided. No changes will be done in your original language.
How can I get a new licence? Do I need to buy one of these packages? And Do I need to be aware of something? For example when I upload a new plugin my old translations are removed?
Hello Dorine,
If you do not have access to the account used to register WPML on your site, you will need to buy a new subscription, yes. To get updates for your site and support you can buy an end-user account. Check here https://wpml.org/purchase/paying-wpml-renewal-for-my-site/
hello i am very intresting for your services bit first of all i have some questions:
1)can i take try version of your translation services?
2)the payment is per year or just once?
We do not offer free trials of WPML. You are welcome to try our plugin and if it does not suit your needs we will refund you. You have until 30 days to do it https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/.
The payment is yearly and requires a renewal fee to keep updates and support.
There are always open issues with Divi but that doesn’t mean its not compatible.
The beta release for WPML has another bunch of fixes for Divi, the final one is going out early next week
All that’s left after that are minor issues. You can open a support ticket with your particular issue if you find anything we are not aware of.
Hello,
Sorry for my late reply. We overlooked your question yesterday. You can, for example, pay with your virtual credit card and deposit some money on that card and after the first year, our system will try to renew. If there is enough money on the account associated with your card, your WPML subscription will auto-renew. We will send you a notification before it will. Does it help?
I reached out recently about some XSS vulnerabilities. You asked me to send you a note with the plugins I use and their version numbers. I can’t seem to find my previous comment when I follow the link in your email, so I’ll paste the info here. Thanks!
WPML Multilingual CMS Version 3.7.1
WPML Widgets Version 1.0.6
Hey Ryan, would you mind waiting until next week? Our WPML lead dev says that they are closing WPML 4.3.12 with a bunch of bug fixes and suggests that it doesn’t make much sense to send you a version that will become old in a few days.
Are the subdirectories created customizable? For example, if I am not able to do website.com/de/en am I able to do website.com/de_en and website.com/de_de ? Thank you

2. No, need to buy two separate licenses. One is enough.
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/translation-tools-available-with-wpml/
Ma se vi do io i testi già tradotti e solo da inserire pago solo il costo del plugin?
Aggiungere la traduzione sul tuo sito non è qualcosa che facciamo. Puoi farlo con WPML Translation Editor senza costi aggiuntivi https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/

I think that this is what you’re looking for:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/directory-default-language/
It will place all of the site’s languages in directories, leaving the root page to be “language neutral”, where you can place this message.
Is this what you need?

Hello Rabah,
WPML uses Azure for its automatic translation service. You can find all the different pairs of languages available on the following link:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/translator/language-support
I totally understand your performance concerns, that’s why we take it seriously and we are always working on it. Our latest WPML version 4.3 is an example of it, we modified lot of our plugin structure to provide faster and translated sites:
https://wpml.org/changelog/2019/08/wpml-4-3-beta-1-with-much-faster-string-translation/
Unfortunately, I can’t join you in skype but don’t hesitate to ask any question here. You can find here below another link with more information about the purchase process:

Hello Pablo,
When you use our Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), you have the possibility to translate your internal links. For your case, your video links:
https://wpml.org/announcements/2020/02/translating-links-with-advanced-translation-editor/
About LearnDash plugin, it is in our Compatibility list. However, at this moment only the manual translation (WordPress editor) is available for it.

I’ll try to answer your questions in order, Pablo:
– About LearnDash, as you are using WordPress editor, you should be able to change your link in the same way as you did within your original page.
– MemberPress plugin is not in our compatibility list, however it doesn’t necessarily imply that it is not compatible, just that our team has not tested yet.
https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
– About having different contents and layouts, this is something that you can achieve when you use WordPress editor. However, when you use our ATE or CTE, WPML copies your original structure into its translation, then, you can’t have different blocks.

We had bought a wpml license, dont remember which email id / user id we bought it from.
Hello, you have the “Multilingual CMS for life” bought in 2017 with the email you posted your comment with.
Hi, Agnes!
Thanks!
Ryan
Yes, I remember you. Thanks for letting me know which plugins you use and which versions. I’m going to ask our devs to prepare the files for you.
Thanks! Very much appreciated. Talk soon!
Ryan
Hey Ryan, would you mind waiting until next week? Our WPML lead dev says that they are closing WPML 4.3.12 with a bunch of bug fixes and suggests that it doesn’t make much sense to send you a version that will become old in a few days.
Are the subdirectories created customizable? For example, if I am not able to do website.com/de/en am I able to do website.com/de_en and website.com/de_de ? Thank you
What language is de_en and what language is de_de? Here’s the list of pre-configured languages: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/ If your language is not on that list, you can add it manually by following this tutorial: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
Hi there!
I’m building a wp website for Timor, and need to add the tetum language. Is this a language that you have available? If not, how can I add it?
Thanks
Hello,
Here’s the list of pre-configured languages: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/. If you cannot see your language is not on that list, you can add it manually by following this tutorial: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/ But if you are interested in machine translations, please note that WPML uses the Azure’s MT engine which handles this list of languages: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/translator/language-support and I didn’t find Tetum on that list.
