  1. HI
I am looking now to get the HOUZEZ real estate WordPress translated into several languages.

It is a real estate website so ALL info can easily be translated as strings ONE TIME, the ONLY field that changes for each property is the description. If I am correct.

I am ok to pay the 99 USD and get the full potential unleashed.
Here is my question I will translate first all the strings (like bedrooms, location etc…) and then that is done right? after that what happens for the description of the property that the agent writes?
Does it go through an automatic translation with your credit system? Do you reset that each month for the description? Can the agent write the description himself / herself in another language?
I am thinking to get thousands of properties listed and try to avoid bad surprises.

Also what happens after one year? I saw it is for support and update but also saw that after one year I cant use it any longer

    Thank you so much

    • I’m not familiar with the specifics of this theme and I don’t know more than you can read in our documentation here so please give me some time to consult your questions with other people from our team who worked with that theme. I’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime, let me answer your other question. You can still use WPML after the first year even if you don’t renew your WPML subscription but you won’t receive new updates and and you won’t be able to use our support forum.

    • Hi Olivier,
to use WPML with the Houzez theme you need the CMS package. Please not that to use automatic (machine) translation you will need credits. You will get 90 000 credits when buying WPML. To translate one word with the Google or DeepL engine (which are used by WPML) you need 2 credits. If you run out of credits you need to buy more credits. Please check this page for details.

Yes, you can translate property descriptions using automatic translations and yes, you can always make manual edits to machine translations.
Since you need to translate thousands of properties I’d recommend you to do the following:
      1. When installing WPML, the WPML’s wizard will offer you two modes:
      a) Translate Everything
      b) Translate Some
At the end of your day, you will need the Translate Everything mode that instantly translates new content (properties) added. But please choose Translate Some at first and translate a few properties manually (in that case you can use the machine translation too) to get familiar with WPML and to see how it works.

WPML maintains the so-called translation memory and as soon as you translate a specific string (either automatically or manually in our Advanced Translate Editor) your translation will be remembered and applied to other future occurrences of this word/phrase. This way you don’t need to translate the same phrases over and over again.

As soon as you have a few properties translated and you are happy with the translations, you can go to WPML settings and switch from the Translate Some to the Translate Everything mode. It will start translating all of your properties.

  2. Hi,
i want buy your product but i dont have and I DONT WANT HAVE PayPall account. PayPal are scammers and thieves and they write this responsibly, they robbed me and many of my other friends.
How can I pay for You??

    • Hello,
You can use your credit card too. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.

    • Witam:
Subskrypcja CMS (99 USD) zapewnia dostęp do aktualizacji, pomocy technicznej i korzystania z tłumaczenia maszynowego z 90 000 kredytów przez rok.
Aby zachować aktualizacje i uzyskać dostęp do pomocy technicznej, musisz odnowić swoje konto. Jeśli nie odnowisz, możesz nadal używać WPML w swojej witrynie z już wykonanymi tłumaczeniami, ale nie będziesz w stanie przetłumaczyć nowej treści, jeśli nie zapłacisz.

  3. What engine does the plugin use for translations? Deepl, google translate or something else? Where can I find a list of languages supported in automatic translation?

    Please let me know.

    • Hello,
WPML currently supports the following search engines:
      – Microsoft
      – Google
      – DeepL
Here you can see the list of languages for each:
      https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs

In WPML settings you set up the order of these engines or you can disable some. If language X is not supported by engine Y, the next engine on your list will be used.

  4. Hello, I am finishing the construction of a website in wordpress and right now I have it locally on my pc, it is not yet on the server.

I wanted to do the translation of the website in 2 or 3 languages before uploading it to the server, but I don’t know if by having to assign the credits to a site I can install WPML on my website that I now have locally and do part of the automatic translation using part of the 90,000 credits, or I would have to wait to have the website on the server before doing the translation.

I would also like to ask you if the manual translation can be done with the web in local or I would have to have it already on the server to be able to translate.

I don’t know if I explained myself well, sorry. But I would be very grateful if you could answer this question for me so I can purchase WPML and start the translation.

Thank you very much in advance,
    Regards

    • Hello,
yes, you can do the translation on your test server first and then move your site to production. WPML will detect that your site was moved.
You can use both manual and automatic translation on your test server. If you want to test automatic translation on a few pages first, please choose “Translate some” instead of “Translate everything” when following your wizard. Translate a few example pages (you can use automatic translations for them too) and if you are fully satisfied, you can go to WPML settings and choose “Translate Everything”.

  5. Hi WPML.
I’ve had the pleasure working with you on 2 earlier projects for some of my costumers.
This time it’s a bit more complicated.
As you can see on https://2lift.com there are 4 different translations – all leading to a new domain. I think that can be fixed with WPML. Isn’t that right?
The tricky question is what I’m gonna do as I’m building the new (similar site just in WordPress instead of Joomla) site on my development server which you find here: http://18019a828a1d2b2e4913d1616262384caaca0f18.web14.temporaryurl.org/
Is it possible to set up on the development server – and how do I do it ?
Which version du I have to purchase?
When I know I can do it I will purchase WPML.
I look forward hearing from you.
    Kind regards
    Kristen

    • Hello,
it’s not possible to try any of our plugins before buying but you can buy WPML keeping our refund policy in mind which allows you to test WPML on your own site for 30 days without risking your money. Please note that the Blog package doesn’t allow you to use machine translation and you need to translate everything manually.

  6. I’m about to buy the Agency solution, I need to know how the unlimited sites works, I can use WPML on unlimited sites builded in that year period only? Or I will be able to use it on unlimited sites I will build in the future but using only the version of WPML I’m buying right now?

    • Hello,
as long as your WPML subscription is active you can register new sites (unlimited number of them). If you decide to cancel your subscription you can still use WPML on sites that already use WPML (without access to new versions) but you won’t be able to register new sites without an active WPML subscription. I hope it helps. Clients who renew their WPML subscription for the next year (without a break) pay only 75% of their initial price.

  7. Dear all,

i’ve got an account and was using it for one year. When renewal time came, it failed. Don’t know the exact reason. Now would like to renew the subscription but i can’t. It says i need to buy the new one. Pls help to renew.

    BR
    Laurynas

    • Hello,
you are right – your renewal order failed when our system was trying to automatically renew your subscription. Since it was two months ago, we need to discuss here internally how we handle your case and if it’s not late to give you the discount for loyal clients. I will keep you posted here or you will get a direct email from my colleague Mercedes who handles such cases.

  8. Why I didn’t get my account and download instructions. I bought the wpml and the money was paid yesterday. Now it’s 24 hours and no response.

  9. Hello Just want to ask if this is also applicable with third-party pages because we have an IDX plugin for the real state listings and the listings are showing through third-party pages. Do you think we can also translate the content on our third-party pages?

    Thanks

  10. Hello!
Before buying I would like to know:

    1. How many website (different and separate project) can I use for WPML Multilingual CMS?

    2. For one website, can the URL be same, but only change the location. So, in this case I don’t want to translate the URL, as there is not need, but only change some content in the pages…. So, I can redirect the visitor to the right page, that will have the same languages but with different products links.

    example.com/uk/test
    example.com/us/test
    example.com/au/test

Also, do you know from a SEO prospective, if have a website have the same content for different countries – but only some product links are different – will have a bad ranking?

    Thank you!

    • Hello Christian,

Let me try to reply your questions in order:
      1. With a Multilingual CMS license you can use WPML in 3 different projects.
      2. Yes, it is possible. You will need to create 3 different languages (uk, us and au) and translate your content accordingly.
      3. You can duplicate your content using WPML, as WPML tells Google about the default content, so Google can ignore all the same content on secondary language pages.

      I hope it helps.
      Regards

  11. Hello Just want to ask if this is also applicable with third-party pages because we have an IDX plugin for the real state listings and the listings are showing through third-party pages. Do you think we can also translate the content on our third-party pages?

I can’t reply to the thread, but I already see the compatible real state plugins for WPML, our current plugin that we’re using right now for our listings is the IDX Broker plugin please check our website and see if the WPML can insert the translation on our third-party pages.

    • Hello John,
thank you for your interest in WPML but the chance that you can translate your site using WPML is slim. Real estate plugins and themes usually require some better preparation (meaning in-advance cooperation with the plugin author and our Compatibility Team) to be fully compatible with WPML. If your plugin pulls the content from third-party pages it’s becoming even more complicated. If the items coming from other pages are stored in your WordPress database, there is a good chance they can be available for translation but not necessarily the automatic translation (which I think you would expect). I didn’t find any WPML users using this plugin so we have no insight at all on what to expect. I would consider this not compatible and wouldn’t recommend using WPML in your case.

  12. Our accounting department requires us to purchase only one plugin per site as we have multiple different divisions, and each one has to be charged separately. Is there a way to get the features of the CMS plugin without purchasing it for 3 sites?

    • Hello John,
Thanks for your interest. I am afraid we don’t have anything as per your request.
The Agency subscription allows you to register unlimited sites, which seems like your perfect fit. However, this would be one purchase on our site.
We also have the Blog version, which is for 1 site, but only gives you access to the core plugin and does not allow you to use the other functionalities.
If you prefer to talk via email directly, please contact me on hello@wpml.org.

      Kind regards,

  13. Hello, once I have the site in multi language, if a person changes language while on a specific page on my website, does the plugin redirects them to the same page in the other language or is the person redirected to the home in the new language?

    thank you

    • Hello,
if this page was translated, then yes, they will see the same page in the other language.

If the page wasn’t translated you have two options in WPML settings:
      a) Skip language – it will not show the language switcher at all for this page
      b) Link to home of language for missing translations
If you choose b, the user will see the language switcher and they will be redirected to the homepage.

  14. Hello

is it possible to purchase multiple different plans (for example, to have different license for each client) with same account? I have WPML Multilingual CMS which has expired, but would like to purchase another WPML Multilingual CMS license for new client without renewing expired one.

  15. Hi There,
I am going to go for 2nd plan “99$ p/y” , but there is 2 question:
1- what “3 production and 9 development” field in the chart means??
2- can I change the content related to automatic lang detection??
ty for you answer in advance

    • Hello,
      1. It means you can use WPML on 12 sites in total: 3 production site and 9 development sites. The development site will have an admin banner saying that it’s a development site but you can normally use WPML on it.
      2. Do you mean, you want to manually update some of the automatic translations? Yes, you can.

  16. Hi Agnes,
thank you for the prompt answer,
We will not use Automatic translation. we will use manual translation and Zone detection to open related language for our customer(It is possible, Isn’t it??), but there are some videos and pictures we need to change as we need to change the them the language. We are wondering if is it possible to change the content related to language or not. can we use another video when the new language will show ?

    • Using machine translation is optional and it’s perfectly fine to manually translate. If you want to automatically redirect the user to a specific language, you can enable the option we provide for that, which you will find in WPML. This option can detect the user’s language based on what they have set in their browser. I’m not sure if this is what you mean by “zone”. Yes you can provide different images and videos for languages if needed. To do so, you might want to switch off WPML’s translation editor completely and use the WordPress native editor. To do so, you need to open your page (in your original language) for editing and on the sidebar on the right-nad side please use the toggle to switch off the WPML’s editor off.

  17. Hi, i’d like to buy CMS version, but all my turkish cards are constantly declined on your website. PayPal isn’t supported here either. Is there any other way to buy a CMS with credit card or crypto for example? please let me know.

    • Hi, you can buy WPML with a credit card or PayPal. What do you mean that your cards are declined? What is the message you are getting? Thank you.

  18. Hello, We will buy the agency version, but we live in Turkey. The exchange rate between the dollar and the Turkish lira is very high. Can you at least define a one-off discount for us? Thank you..

    • Hello,
we don’t provide any discounts (unless you represent a non-profit organization) but some of our affiliates can have something. You can look around to check if there are any. Another option is to buy the CMS package first and upgrade to the Agency later (for example after a few months) for the difference in the purchase price.

  19. I’m using the $99 plan and I think it got renewed for another year (till 2023) I want to switch to the unlimited plan. How do I do that?

    • Hi Ed,
You are welcome to log in to your account and upgrade to the Agency version for the difference only.
Log in and you will see a link to do it.

      Kind regards,
