Hi there,
Does WPML integrate with REST API? How are translations stored in the database? I’d love to integrate WPML into a headless WordPress website and am curious as to how I would access translated content & fields. Thanks for your help.
we would like to purchase a Multilingual Agency plan (1 year).
Can we pay for it via Bank transfer ?
It is essential for us to get an Invoice for accounting purposes.
Hello, We don’t have any option for bank transfers but you can use your credit card. On the “checkout” page you will see a link entitled “Use a different payment processor” (at the bottom of the page, under the orange button). Please click on it.
Credit card is also an option for us.
We would need Proforma Invoice so that our Accounting department can process the payment.
I aasume that after the payment you’ll send us the Invoice.
Is there any email that I can send you our contact info for issuing Proforma Invoice ?
Thank you, $20.00 per million characters is significantly less expensive than your “credit system” and anyone who has a website “larger” than 90,000 credits is at a significant loss for using your plugin. Looking for an update in the future,
hello I would like to disable our billing but the administrator on the account is no longer with the organization. Looks like my user account does not have adequate permissions. Can you please help
Hello,
you pay 99 euro for the first year. If you decide to continue your subscription for the next year, you will pay 75% of this initial price for the second year. Updates are not mandatory and WPML will still work on your site even if you cancel your subscription but we cannot anticipate what will happen if you update WordPress and won’t update WPML.
Hello,
Could you please confirm that if we purchase your Multilingual Agency package, it covers unlimited number of sites, unlimited number of languages and provides WooCommerce support (translation of web stores)?
Furthermore, if we (for some reason) stop providing services to a client, can they still use the existing WPML translations by purchasing their own Multilingual CMS package? Does that package also provide multiple languages and WooCommerce support?
Thanks.
Hello,
Yes, I confirm that if you purchase your Multilingual Agency package, it covers unlimited number of sites, unlimited number of languages. But please note that to use auomatic translations, you need translation credits and the free credits we provide in the package won’t suffice for multiple websites. Please check the pricing for additional credits: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/
Furthermore, if we (for some reason) stop providing services to a client, can they still use the existing WPML translations by purchasing their own Multilingual CMS package?
I just asked my web developer (no 3rd parties) and he recommended your $99 package. My concern is: a) is the setup complicated? b) is the translation process complex? I can easily build websites ut without too much code, but I am concerned to get stuck too long before I get help from your support. Please advice!
Hello,
Can I see your site and have the following information:
– what page builders do you use?
– how many plugins does your site use? Can you please list the major ones?
– what is your theme?
– do you want to translate your site automatically?
– to how many languages?
It will help me provide a better answer. Thank you.
I’m looking into buying WPML, a few presales questions:
1. We have a Dutch domain (domain1.nl) and want to translate this site to English (domain2.com) and German (domain2.com/de). Is this possible?
2. Is it possible to change external links in translated content? For example in the original Dutch content the links is shop.nl, and I want to change this in the English version to shop.com?
3. How do you handle the translation of shortcodes? Is the shortcode output translated automatically? And can the shortcode be changed in a different language?
Hello,
1. You cannot mix domains with subfolders. So it’s either different domains or subfolders, never both.
2. Yes, it is. But you need to use the search box in our translation editor because links are not shown by default not to clutter the editor.
3. For such cases you would need to switch to the native WordPress editor to translate your page (only the page that uses the shortcode) and it means you need to manually translate this page or have it translated automatically at first and then switch to the WP editor to provide a diffrent shortcode for your translation. But now shortcodes are rarly used because they have been replaced with blocks and WPML can translate blocks (Gutneberg blocks).
Can I use my main subdomain site (en.example.com) to subdomain language switcher (de.example.com)?
What will it look like – (de.example.com) or (de.en.example.com)?
I am looking for setting my main subdomain site to subdomain language switcher.
Does WPML support this feature?
2. How many plugins does your site use? Can you please list the major ones? Contact form 7, EWWWImage optimiser, Updraftplus, WPForms, lite lisped cache, Jetpack
3. What is your theme? Themify
4. Do you want to translate your site automatically? Yes
Thank you for your answers.
We are compatible with the Themify Ultra theme and the WPForms plugins: https://wpml.org/theme/themify-ultra/ https://wpml.org/plugin/wpforms/
so WPML should work without issues on your site.
To answer your initial questions. When setting up WPML simply follow the wizard and your site will be automatically translated. In case of issues, you can contact our support forum.
Hello, it’s a yearly subscription but you can cancel it at any time and still use WPML. If you cancel, after the first year, you will lose access to updates and our support forum.
Hi , When I tried to Purchase CMS plan i am getting 504 Gateway error even some of our clients tried this . They are also getting same error after clicking on buy button for CMS plan
Dear Team,
We are developing a multi-network wordpress site where we have one main parent website, and 10 to 15 child websites.
So which package should we buy?
Also, if our client does not renew the license after one year, will the website stop working or the website will work and only updates+support will not be accessible?
Hello,
The CMS package will suffice in your case because you need to register only the main parent website. If you don’t renew your WPML subscription, you can still use WPML plugins in your site but we cannot guarantee that it will work with future WordPress updates.
Hello. I work for a translation agency and we’re renovating our webiste. We wanted to use the WPML plug in to translate our new webiste. My question is: does WPML allow you to export all the text content of the website in XML or XLIFF format in order to process those files with our CAT Tools? If it does, how does it work? Thank you

1-Theme Builder: Elementor
2-Theme: Beautify
3-Plugins: Elementor Pro, Envato elements, Directorist, Web Reservations, W3 Total Cache, Jetpack, Site Kit by Google, UpdraftPlus and Yoast.
I want to translate my website from Spanish to English without losing SEO properties. Is it possible with this plugin?
How do credits work?
How Can I automatically translate my website content?
Do plugins content are also translated?
Hello,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
1. Yes, we are compatible with Elementor.
2. I cannot find any theme with this name. Can you please share the link to the theme’s website?
3. Elementor Pro – we are compatible,
Envato elements – is this a plugin name? can you please provide the link to the plugin’s website?
Directorist – yes, we are compatible: https://wpml.org/plugin/directorist-business-directory-plugin/
Web Reservations – I cannot find this plugin, can you please share the link?

Site Kit by Google – I’m not sure what kind of compatibility you expect here, please provide some examples
UpdraftPlus – please explain what kind of compatibility you expect here
Yoast – yes, we are compatible
>I want to translate my website from Spanish to English without losing SEO properties. Is it possible with this plugin?
Yes, it is.
>How Can I automatically translate my website content?
Not all of your content but the majority. There are some elements that you need to translate manually or semi-automatically. These are mostly some custom options or individual strings or texts coming from plugins/themes that are not compatible with WPML or are partialy compatible: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/#translating-your-whole-site-automatically
>How Can I automatically translate my website content?
You have two options:
a) you select the “Translate automatically” mode when setting up WPML
b) you select “Translate some” and then select which pages to send to automatic translations. Please note that option B will be significantly improved in the WPML 4.6 to save you more time and select pages in bulk.
>Do plugins content are also translated?
Depends on the plugin and what you mean by plugin content. For example, the content created with Elementor, yes, this is automatically translated too.
Hello,
you can translate slug in all versions (packages) of WPML (Blog, CMS, Agency).
Please note that if you are interested in automatic translations, you need to use the CMS package. Please note that by default the slugs will be translated automatically based on the post title. For example if your post/page title is “about us”, the slug will be about-us and it will be translated to other languages automatically the same way as you would translate “About us” phrase. But you can edit the translation of your slugs, to do so, you need to go to WPML settings and enable this option: Page URL > Translate (this will include the slug in the translation and not create it automatically from the title).

You have the Lifetime type of account.

I am looking for setting my main subdomain site to subdomain language switcher.
Does WPML support this feature?
Do you mean you need some double-nested subdomains? If so, it’s not possible. But if your WordPress is installed in a subdomain you can have subfolders for languages like here:
https://dog-walkers.discover-wp.com/es/
https://real-estate.discover-wp.com/es/
https://real-estate.discover-wp.com/de/

Hello,
we have never tested the Affiliate Booster plugin and we don’t have any data on how it will work with WPML. We are compatible with https://wpml.org/plugin-functionality/affiliates/
I’m trying to buy your plugin but your checkout page isn’t going. Also is it a 1 time payment or yearly subscription?

I kindly ask if wpml includes slug translation and, if yes, which version does.
