    In 2014 my website was built by a website builder. He bought for Überhaupt Taaltraining a lifelong license. Unfortunately he never sent me the inlog info and I can not reach him anymore. Can you please check the account and send me the inlog information?

      here’s the list of supported languages if you want to use automatic translation: https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
      If the language you want to translate to is on the list, the non-Latin characters will be handled correctly.

      If you plan to manually update/edit some of these translations, you need to use an appropriate keyboard (which supports the required characters)

  3. Hello,
    we are working to change our website and translate it in 5 languages.

    As we are creating it for zero there are some parts in English and some part in Italian. As we want to install WPML would be better to translate it first in one language and then use WPML to translate it?

    Another question is if I have a word for example Drive (the golf clubs) and I don’t want that this word will be translated in French or Italian because take another meaning is it possibile with WPML to maintain it for all the languages?

  5. Hi, I am about to start a new website with 8 different languages. I would like to use a page builder to speed up the development. I have already read the pages with your suggestions (https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/ and https://wpml.org/theme-category/themes-with-page-builders/)

    Since I haven’t started yet, I would like to use the most WPML-compatible Builder currently available.

    Is there one that at present is ahead of the others in terms of WPML integration?

    • Hi Luca,
      In terms of WPML integration, all page builders in the shared page under “The following page builders are compatible with WPML:” are compatible with WPML.
      But if you want direct recommendation, I would either go with Avada (a multi purpose theme with its builder) or Elementor Pro, and Divi. They seem to be the ones that most people use and they work quite nicely with WPML.

    I have paid 99$ for 3 site and 9 developer sites in this time i have used WPML only for 1 site. And when i working on site i have setted site as developer. I have finished site building and try to change production sites. But there is warning that says “Your account allows you to build only 0 “production” sites with WPML. Why i have paid this 99$ i didnt understand anything.

    You need a valid account to download WPML and get our support. Without a valid account, any WPML version that you already downloaded will continue to work normally in your sites.

    this is your FAQ answer. Why i am not changing developer site to production. When i set developer there was warning too.” You can change site to production when you want”. I wanna change my site to production and dont want to upgrade or support anymore.

    This is a little bit weird for me. I have paid 99$ and i have only 1 developer site which i cant change to production site and so i cant hide “This site is registered on wpml.org as a development site.” footer of web page.

    Can you help me?

    • Hi Cenk – It appears your account expired on December 15th. You can still renew your account at a discounted price before January 14th. You need a valid account in order to make changes to your registered sites.

    • Cenk, I don’t have the answer for now if we can manually switch the status of your site to production. This can be done only for sites that have an active WPML subscription. You mentioned that you don’t want to upgrade. I understand that but please note that your automatic renewal failed due to the card being declined. You can still renew your WPML subscription using the discount we offer (once the “grace period” we offer ends you will have to acquire a new subscription at full price if you decide to upgrade WPML in the future).

  8. Hi! I have a network wordpress install with multisites inside – so one wordpress install and then 4 separate sites. When it says “3 production website” does one site in the multisite counts as one production website or does the whole network wordpress install counts as 1? Thank you!

    I installed the WPML with 90.000 credits on my website and now I am waiting for the translation for more than one hour to do it.
    I don’t know what happening as it shows me that I have left 54.000 credits and still nothing.
    What should I do for the next step and how does the credit work?

    • Hi Shadab – Our pricing is not per language. Instead, it depends on what you want to translate and how you want to translate it. Our Multilingual Blog account only allows you to translate posts and pages, and you can only translate them manually. Our Multilingual CMS account allows you to translate all parts of your site, including headers and footers, widgets, menus, WooCommerce products, strings, etc. You can also use automatic translation, a translation service, or add translators as users of your site.     I will be my third time I will buy WPML. This time I don t want to renewal the payment becouse I will need this plugin on september this year and reneval will be on february. How can I stop reneval purches on my account? How can i dele my credit card from my account?

    • Hi Jakub – If you renew your account on time, you get WPML at a discount. Otherwise, you need to purchase again at full price later. If you still want to cancel your automatic renewal, you can log in to your WPML.org account. On the left side, you can see your account type. Click “Modify” to view the account details, then click “Cancel subscription”. If you have already canceled your automatic renewal, your account will expire on the next renewal date.

    • Hello Paola,
      Thank you for your interest in WPML. WPML allows you to translate your content both manually and automatically. For automatic translation, you need to use translation credits. You need 2 credits to translate 1 word, so if your site has 20 000 words in total, you will need 40 000 of credits.
      If you run out of the 90 000 free credits we give for free, you will need to buy more. You have two options, both describe here:

      Please note that these credits are not free for us either. We pay for these credits to Google Translate or DeepL depending on which of these translation engines you use. WPML supports both.

    • Hello, you pay annually. After the first year, you will pay only 75% of the initial price. Renewals are not mandatory.

      thank you for your interest in WPML. You can buy WPML and use it for 30 days without risking your money keeping our refund policy in mind. That’s one option. Please let me know what exactly you would like to test (does your site uses WooCoommerce, page builders? are you interested in checking the quality of automatic translations ect) and I can tell you we can set up a demo site for you. It’s possible but there are some limitations on these sandbox sites so I’d like to understand your case better.

  18. Hi, is it possible to make adjustments in the layout of a particular page automatically for the other translations? Suppose you have a page in Dutch, English and German, are the adjustments on the Dutch page automatically reflected on the English and German page?

    Another question: we have 3 websites we would like to translate. What account type would best suit this?

      Yes, the layout should be copied automatically into your translations. If you need to manually adjust it, you should translate your pages manually as explained in our documentation.
      For 3 websites, you should have a Multilingual CMS license.
