    • Yes, credits are topped up to 60,000 (CMS account) or 120,000 (Agency account). To top up means: if you have 1000 credits left you will get 59 000, if you have zero credits left you will get 60 000.

    • Hello, you mean to switch from the CMS to the Agency? When you use the Blog package you don’t get any translation credits. Credits are not lost when changing packages, they remain the same.

    • Yes, that’s the number of credits for the first year. For the second year you are topped up to 60 000 and 120 000 respectively.

    • Yes, it’s possible. Upgrading to Agency doesn’t affect your existing sites, it simply allows you to register more sites. If you upgrade you pay only the difference between these two.

  1. thanks for your replying.
    1-2.1-3.
    my multivendor is there present.https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/
but other plugins used by me on my site are not present in the result.
In this situation, does it mean my multivendor site is supported?
And I want to make my woo-commerce multi-vendor marketplace site multi-currency and multi-language, which tools should I use now?
    Is the Multilingual Agency?
Is the plugin WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency with WPML ?( https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/)
Or I should use both of them?

    thanks

    • If you are using plugins that are not in that list, I only can tell that our Compatibility Team haven’t tested them. They may be or not compatible, it would depend on if the author design them to be multilingual ready.
Finally, if you want to have a multi-currency and multi-language website, you will need both, WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual. They both come in our Multilingual CMS and Agency plans.
      I hope it helps.

  2. Dear Team,

I have below query request you to please answer

    1) Is plugin work with the product search. ex: If i search with Arabic language on search bar then result will display ?
    2) Is plugin provide the facility to translate all the content if automated translation is not proper
    3) Plugin work with any of the themes
    4) Plugin work with Arabic and english language
    5) currency will change with language

    • Hello,
      1. If you mean the standard product search from the WooCommerce plugin, it will search for products within the language. If you mean a search coming from 3rd party plugins, it depends on the plugin.
      2. You can always make edits to automatic translation if needed. You can translate manually too.
      3. WPML works with the vast majority of themes out of the box but some themes might provide some extra functionality so please check if your theme is on our list of themes compatible with WPML: https://wpml.org/theme/
      4. WPML is RTL ready but please know that your theme also needs to be RTL ready (most of the popular themes are)
      5. It’s the other way around: if the user changes the languages, you can set up WPML to change the currency too (it’s optional)

  3. Hello,

My customer is using an old release of wpml with compatibility regarding Elementor slides block.

Wondering if you plan to add support for translation of background images.

    line 19 of class-wpml-elementor-slides.php return array( ‘heading’, ‘description’, ‘button_text’, ‘link’ => array( ‘url’ ), ‘background_image’ => array( ‘url’ ));
    line 39 return esc_html__( ‘Slides: link/image URL’, ‘sitepress’ );

Please consider support so I can ask them to renew their licence

    best regards

    Alan

    • Hello,
I need to better understand your issue. If you have your own WPML account could you please open a ticket and describe the issue?
Have you tried translating the image with the WPML Translation Media module? If you are not a WPML user, can you record a short video that shows the problem? Please mention the WPML version you/your customer is using. Thank you.

    • No, the credits won’t be used because this page was already translated. You pay for credits only when you translate something for the first time.

    • Hello Mohamed,
To pay with your credit card directly please select Alternative payment method during checkout. You will see the option below PayPal/credit card
If you need further help, please drop me a line directly on hello@wpml.org
Let me know how it goes.

  4. Hi,

I would like to offer the option to switch between UK English and US English on my site. I notice there is no American flag option on your tool.

    Can this be done?

    Many thanks,

    • Hello Matthew,
yes, it is possible, please see my site: https://orange-cavaco.sandbox.otgs.work/2023/02/20/its-going-to-be-a-great-vacation/- please check my language switcher.
but the workflow on how to do so it’s not obvious. I can guide you with details steps if needed.
Please let me know the following:
      1. how do you want to handle your translation: manually or automatically
      2. are you going to have other languages on your site (apart from English ones)? If so, how would you like to translate these? Manually or automatically?
      Thank you

    • Hello,
you pay $199 for the first year. If you want to renew your account for the next year, you will pay 75% of this price for each year. If you want, you can cancel your subscription at any time and still use WPML but in this case, you are risking some conflict with future WordPress versions. But renewals are not mandatory. If you want to cancel your automatic renewals, you will be able to do so at any time from within your WPML account.

  5. Good day,

currently we use TranslatePress. Due to the STring-based translation, our translations are always lost when we correct or change things on the original page. Do you have the same problem in your product?

    • Hello,
no, we don’t have the same problem because as soon as WPML has pulled your strings (from your theme/plugin), they are maintained directly on the WPML screen. Please let me know if you mean strings from 3rd party plugins or themes. If possible you can also provide me the name of these themes/plugins and I can double-check.

  6. Hi,

We have 4 websites, what is the best approach we should go for while choosing the plan, should we go for the “Multilingual Agency” plan or choose 1 Multilingual CMS and 1 Multilingual Blog? what is your recommendation

    • Hello,
if you need automatic translations (or mix manual with automatic translation according to your needs), the Blog option won’t work because it relies only on manual translations. Plus using the Blog package you can register only one website.
I would suggest buying the CMS package and first trying it on one site to understand how WPML works. Then, you can add your other sites. If you reach the limit of 3 websites you can upgrade to the Agency account for the difference in your purchase price (we have a special button on your WPML account to upgrade to Agency and it won’t affect your existing site – it will only allow you to register more sites).

  7. I have a ticket but it seems nobody is interested anymore in solving this …
“Mercedes” has been working on it
    No answer since February 14th..

  8. I have a client who wants a WordPress site. They would like separate home pages for UK and USA customers, so does that mean having two sites?
Also, they want a menu link called ‘order’ which for the UK site goes to a contact form, but for the USA site links to a different website which is a shop subdomain of the primary domain. How am I best to achieve this with your plugin? Thank you.

  9. Hi,

I am interested to buy WPLM “Pay as you go” but I don’t find the way to buy it. The only products I am able to buy are (Multilingual Blog, Multilingual CMS and Multilingual Agency)

    Can you help me?

    • Hello Toni,
Please note that need to enable Pay-as-you-go only if you need more translation credits. If you buy WPML CMS or the Agency package you will receive 90 000 translation credits for free. You can assign some of these credits to your site or all of them. Pay-as-you-go is an alternative way to provide translation credits to your site. You need to enable Pay-as-you-go from within your WordPress site that already uses WPML (you go to WPML > Translatoin Management > Tools). Let me know if that helps.

  10. Hi there. A client wants a website to load up in IT, be built in English, but with the ability to switch between the languages.

There is another language tool, but the Default language has to be the one it was designed in.

Does WMPL have the means to set a default language “on load”, or is it always the one at the core?

    Simon

    • Hello Simon,
I’m not sure if understand your case well but let me explain how WPML works. When you set up WPML, the default language of your site (the one you have selected in your WordPress) will be used as the suggested primary language but you can change it to any other language from the WPML list. Does this answer your question?

  11. Hi Agnes,

Thanks very much for your reply. Yes, I would love some help with how to translate British English to US English.

    1 – Automatically
2 – No other languages on the site. But we may add more further down the line.

    Many thanks,
    Matt

  12. Hello! Does the $39 option allow for manual menu translations as well as the content? I’ve noticed in my research that many translation plugins do not allow for menu options. Double checking before purchase. Thanks!

    • Hello,
yes, the $39 option translates the menu too. Be default the menu is automatically synchronized with translated pages but you can also control it manually and decide on your own which pages you show in the navigation for language A and which ones for language B.

  13. Hello, I have quite a lot of glossary entries (80) with their equivalents in 7 languages. I want to make sure I can reasonably work with the glossary before purchasing the subscription.

    – Can the glossary entries be imported or do I need to upload them manually?
    – Will the glossary entries be used in machine translation automatically or will they just be offered to the person editing the translation?
    – Do they work on an case match basis?
    – What happens if I update the entries in the glossary, how do I update the terms throughout the respective posts?

Thank you for answering my questions.

    • Hello Martin,
      1. You need to upload/set up them manually
      2. Both options are available but there are some known limitations when the glossary is used with machine translation, for example:

If you use the glossary with automatic translation, always make sure to review the content. Glossary entries are case sensitive, and the term must match exactly what is defined in the glossary to apply the translation. The glossary does not make grammatical changes to the terms, such as making them plural, possessive, a different tense, etc.

please read more here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/how-to-create-and-manage-glossary-entries/ how learn more about the glossary feature in WPML.
      3. Not sure what you mean here… Please provide more details.
      4. Existing posts won’t be updated

Please note that WPML uses translation memory too. It means that as soon as you make manualu editis to some senstances, those will be remememebered and next time when the same occcurence appears your translation memory will be applied. You can consider this a great alternative to the glossary feature.
